George Lucas Makes An Impact With Red Tails George Lucas is all the way down with the brown… George Lucas believes his big-budget movie “Red Tails” about the famed Tuskegee Airmen moved the ball forward for films starring or created by African-Americans in Hollywood, but didn’t change the game. “It had an affect on a lot of kids and adults. Now it’s the one thing that everyone comes up to me and says ‘thank you’ for. I’m proud of that,” he told us at the Fostering a Legacy benefit Saturday evening in East Hampton for singer Ne-Yo’s Compound Foundation, which supports kids in foster care. Lucas, who has three adopted children, was honored at the benefit for his positive impact on young adults. The movie, which took Lucas more than 20 years to bring to theaters and was produced with $58 million of his own money, raked in $50 million at theaters, surpassing Hollywood’s expectations. “We didn’t get to a point when they said, ‘Oh let’s just do black movies.’ But every time you poke ’em, it makes an effect.” said Lucas, who attended the benefit with girlfriend Mellody Hobson. The director announced his retirement earlier this year to focus on making smaller “hobby films,” but told us it will also leave more time for Hobson. Awww, how sweet. Sounds like a typical day in the life of Dennis Rodman… Dennis Rodman’s Ex-Wife Claims He Attacked And Harassed Her According to TMZ reports : Dennis Rodman drunkenly barged into his ex-wife’s house last month early in the morning, attacked her, then insisted on taking her and their son out for breakfast … where he slammed 4-6 Jägermeister shots — this according to his ex-wife. Michelle Rodman has obtained a temporary restraining order against Dennis over the May 28th incident — but was back in court in Orange County, CA yesterday to make it permanent. Michelle took the stand, describing the events that took place — claiming Dennis had shown up to Michelle’s house wasted at 2:30AM, completely unannounced, and demanded to see his 11-year-old son. Michelle said Dennis attacked her when she refused, shoving her onto a bed, then took off — only to return hours later, still intoxicated, asking to take their son to breakfast. Michelle obliged … on the condition she came with. At breakfast, Michelle said Dennis got even more wasted — ordering 4-6 shots of Jägermeister … in front of the kid … and downing them all. She claimed Dennis then repeatedly made comments about her boyfriend, saying, “You’re f**king this white guy!” So far, it’s unclear if the judge will grant Michelle’s restraining order request — the hearing will continue this morning. Should be interesting … Dennis is expected to take the stand as well. The restraining order hearing was just pushed back to October. In the meantime, the judge has extended Michelle’s temporary restraining order, barring Dennis from contacting her or their kids in any way. But there is one exception, Dennis was granted supervised visitation with his kids twice a month, for 4 hours at a time. That’s it. This ninja is really, really throwed! What in the furry hell???? Everett Lages was arrested outside of Emerald City strip club in Murdock, Fla. on Tuesday for repeatedly calling 911 after the owner prohibited him from entering with a kitten, according to a Charlotte County Sheriff’s press release: When Emerald City’s owner told the 47-year-old man to leave, he instead sat down outside and called the cops, the release said. Lages appeared intoxicated when deputies arrived, prompting authorities to call him a taxi, according to the release. The kitten-carrier refused to tell the cab driver where he lived and instead kept calling 911 — despite sheriff’s deputies still being at the scene — so police arrested him. Lages is charged with misuse of the 911 system, disorderly intoxication, trespassing after warning and resisting arrest without violence. Doesn’t he realize that the kitten will not even appreciate a strip club because it is not a cat show? He only came to this club for a little p*ssy, and they wouldn’t even let it in. We hope the poor kitty got adopted by a loving stripper, remember folks always spay and neuter your pets. Source
