Now I don’t watch The Vampire Diaries , because I’m not a 14-year-old girl, but I’m told this Grace Phipps chick is on the show. Which I guess makes sense, because she does look like she could use some sun. I’ve never done a post on her before, but between the see-through shirt, the nipple-itis and the leggings, she’s making a great first impression. The 2nd Annual Tournament of THG: Couples Edition has come to an end. We began with 16 hot pairings, with the simple mission of determining our readers’ favorite celebrity couple on THG. The competition was fierce. Your votes narrowed it down to Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart vs. Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev, who waged an epic championship round battle. The margin was not a runaway, nor was it razor-thin, with the champs taking 61 percent of the 30,000+ votes cast. Which on-screen vampire duo won the title? Christina Aguilera is a fighter. The Voice coach got choked up during the rehearsals for the 2013 People’s Choice Awards , but soldiered on through an emotional performance Wednesday. Opting for a simple white blazer and black slacks instead of her usually more, um, eclectic wardrobe, Xtina performed “Blank Page” live for the first time. Watch: Christina Aguilera – Blank Page (People’s Choice Awards) The subject matter is heavy for Christina, 32. “She was very emotional,” an insider said. “The song is about making mistakes and realizing you can’t go back but you can start over with a blank slate.” “Christina expresses herself through her songs and this one is particularly emotional … this year is a new beginning for her and she’s excited.” Another source reported that Aguilera was sobbing during rehearsals and even had the audience in tears while rehearsing the moving new song. Fortunately, she came through with flying colors – and earned recognition. Following the song, Josh Duhamel hopped onstage to present her with the “People’s Voice” award, at which point the emotion was even more evident. “Thank you for giving me this form of expression and letting me use my voice,” she said. “It means so much. When I sing I believe it truly is the only time I can truly be myself.” “I find a home in music and I hope others can find a home in music as well.” She’ll always have a home here on THG. Reggie Bush offended many women in New York State – Miss Buffalo Lonna McCary included – with a comment he made yesterday. The background: Bush’s Miami Dolphins play the Buffalo Bills tonight on the Bills’ home turf, with temps in the mid-to-upper 30s. That’s actually warm for Buffalo in November, prompting The Paul and Young Ron radio show hosts to ponder if any fans will go topless. “You don’t want to see that,” said one host. “No. God, no.” Bush, who’s expecting his first child with Lilit Avagyan , agreed. “No, not Buffalo women,” he said. Upon hearing this, Lonna McCary, the current Miss Buffalo, fired back : “These people who write disparaging remarks about Buffalo obviously haven’t spent enough time here to pass judgment,” she told Yahoo Sports. “Buffalo was once one of the most prosperous cities on the East Coast. Like them or not, the Buffalo Bills attended four straight Super Bowls in a row.” “I believe the negative attitude players who come to Buffalo have is half the reason we have suffered this long playoff drought.” “Yeah, it’s cold here, but get over it,” added the pride of Western New York. “You’re living millions of kids’ dreams, so get out there and play.” Former Heisman winner and Kim Kardashian boy toy Bush made light of the backlash on Twitter, claiming his words were twisted. “Lol it was a joke! The nominations for the 2013 People’s Choice Awards (Jan. 9) are in. After more than 93 million ballots were cast, and the nominees were announced Thursday, with the biggest of the big names leading the way. The Voice’s Adam Levine is up for six awards, while Justin Bieber earned five nods, including for favorite male artist and favorite pop artist. Sexiest Man Alive Channing Tatum leads men in acting nominations with four; Emma Stone and Jennifer Lawrence (pictured) are up for three each. On the TV side, people really love their Glee and Vampire Diaries apparently.
