Spencer Pratt: The Tweeting Rampage Returns!

Cut off by The Hills, and possibly by his wife, Spencer Pratt has been left alone with his thoughts. Fortunately, he still a Twitter account on which to share them. Without any reality show producers to worry about, the hothead returned to the social networking site after a prolonged absence, unleashing a fury of Tweets . No one is safe. While he did not directly address his separation from Heidi Montag , Spencer targeted Hills stars and strangers alike in a rant easily comprising 100+ Tweets. On Lo Bosworth: “Lo has been banging 60 year old rich guys on the side to keep up her look because she only gets paid few grand and plays star HAHA.” “I pray to see @lobosworth ugly ass out in a club now that i can do whatever i want without feeling bad for heidi! lo your [sic] f–ked! Wh-re!” Spencer Pratt has officially lost it . On Audrina Patridge, who he previously accused of getting “Tijuana plastic surgery”: “Audrina has fake everything. Damn we fakeass reality show foolios.” On Whitney Port, now the star of MTV’s The City : “No whitney port sucks and has ever since we were in high school together before all her surgeries.” On Heidi’s mom, Darlene Egelhoff: “it’s her fake mom. ask the government! darlene lied about everything she told Heidi. she stole heidi as a baby! REAL.” Wow. Spreading the love to strangers as well, Spencer targeted a particular Twitter user from England who had been writing to him, sending replies. “Glad we didn’t let you in America foreigner b–ch! USA is to [sic] smart for you fool. log off our American website and go do something foreigner.” Heidi filed for legal separation from Spencer on June 8 with photographers in tow, igniting speculation that the couple was just scheming for publicity. With Spencer absent from The Hills and real life in recent weeks, however, you have to wonder if Heidi really did up and leave the nut job for good. NOTE : Follow The Hollywood Gossip on Twitter ! We promise we won’t slander you … or at least to use proper punctuation if we’re ever forced to.

Harrison Ford And Calista Flockhart Get Married

‘Indiana Jones’ star and ‘Ally McBeal’ actress tie the knot in New Mexico on Tuesday. By Mawuse Ziegbe Harrison Ford and Calista Flockhart Photo: Steve Granitz/ WireImage Indiana Jones is officially off the market. Harrison Ford and actress Calista Flockhart got married on Tuesday after dating for eight years. A rep for Flockhart confirmed to Us Weekly that the Hollywood duo got hitched in Sante Fe, New Mexico, where Ford is currently filming “Cowboys and Aliens.” Harrison Ford And Calista Flockhart Us reports that the wedding took place at the Governor’s Mansion in New Mexico and that Governor Bill Richardson presided over the nuptials. According to People magazine, the pair got engaged over Valentine’s Day weekend last year. The couple are raising a son together and met at the 2002 Golden Globes. Perhaps a lavish honeymoon is on the way as the pair made headlines earlier this year as one of the top-earning couples in entertainment , as estimated by Forbes magazine. Although Jay-Z and Beyonc

Lil’ Cease Says Nicki Minaj’s Lil’ Kim-Inspired Style Is True ‘Homage’

‘I’m sure she’s got some things from Kim, but Nicki’s setting her own lane,’ Cease says of the female MCs’ rivalry. By Shaheem Reid Lil’ Cease, Lil’ Kim pose with Jay-Z Photo: MTV News Lil’ Cease thinks nothing’s wrong with one MC paying homage to another MC. “All of us had an influence in the game,” Cease said when he visited MTV News earlier this week. “We all came up listening to somebody, so it’s not bad to say it.” And Cease is like most hip-hop fans: He’s been keeping an eye on the unfolding Lil’ Kim/ Nicki Minaj controversy . The Queen Bee has come out swinging, claiming the voluptuous Young Money Barbie bit her fashion style without paying homage. Kim also accused Minaj of sneak-dissing on songs like the Diddy-Dirty Money “Hello, Good Morning” remix , taking exception to the line “Did I kill the Queen?” “When I heard about that, I didn’t have no real reaction to it,” Cease said of the flap. “At the end of the day, it’s a real competitive sport in hip-hop. Kim is one of them people. No matter how you look at her, as an icon or whatever, she’s definitely [an icon]. But she’s also an MC. She feels like she still maintains that [top] spot. She still feels like she holds that spot. You can’t knock her for that. But the paying homage thing, when I seen Nicki Minaj with the green hair, when I seen her do similar pictures that Kim has done — I look at that as paying homage. I saw other things where Nicki did pay homage; she said some [complimentary] things about Lil’ Kim. “But we don’t know what’s going on,” Cease added. “We don’t read between the lines like MCs do. Kim probably sees or hears things none of us probably sees or hears. She’s just making her judgment from what she’s seeing. We can’t knock her for that. At the end of the day, Nicki is Nicki. She’s building her own lane. She’s doing what she’s gotta do. She’s hot, she’s sexy. I’m sure she’s got some things from Kim, but [Nicki’s] setting her own lane … But Kim’s got a right to her opinion, she’s got a right to say how she feel. I’m used to Kim being that way. She’s very aggressive. If she feels like she ain’t getting the proper respect, she’s gonna speak her mind.” In the past few weeks, Kim has spoken out often about Minaj, while Nicki has remained silent. But Diddy , a host of female MCs and Drake have weighed in on the feud. On Tuesday morning, Drake told Houston radio station 97.9 the Box that he had nothing to say in response to Lil’ Kim calling him a “punk” in an interview with Thisis50.com. The Brooklyn MC was irate after Drake spoke out, during a concert, against her jabs at Nicki. “Nicki’s got records climbing the charts,” Drake said Tuesday, as he celebrated his debut album’s official release. “Today, Thank Me Later is out. It’s just about relevant people today.” Do you agree with Cease? Has Nicki Minaj paid homage to Kim by sampling some of her looks? Tell us what you think in the comments! ‘Eclipse’ Soundtrack Debuts At #2 — Should Fans Worry?

We take a look at what that album sales mean for the latest ‘Twilight’ film’s box-office numbers. By Eric Ditzian “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse” soundtrack Photo: Atlantic When it was released in November 2008, the “Twilight” soundtrack shot straight to the top of the Billboard albums charts, and by the end of the month, the first of the vampire franchise flicks had opened at #1 on its way to $193 million in box-office receipts. A year later, in its first full week out, the “New Moon” disc also topped the charts, warming up fans’ ears and wallets before the film started its climb toward $297 million in total ticket sales. Now the “Eclipse” soundtrack has dropped, and its opening-week numbers — 144,000 albums sold, good for Billboard ‘s #2 slot on next week’s chart — represent the weakest debut yet for the franchise’s albums. Is it time to panic? Might this be the first glimpse of the decline of “Twilight”? Hardly. “I don’t think the drop-off is anything to be freaked out about,” said Keith Caulfield, senior chart manager/analyst for Billboard. “I wouldn’t pin it on just one thing. You can chalk it up a bit to album sales declining in general. And it’s not surprising that part three sells what it sells in its first week, because as with anything, especially continuing movie franchises or TV series franchises, the interest begins to wane a little as the excitement and the newness dissipates a bit.” Yet it’s important to note that with the first two films, album sales and box-office numbers had an inverse relationship. The “Twilight” disc boasts 2.6 million in total sales and “New Moon” ultimately moved 1.1 million discs, while “New Moon” out-grossed its predecessor by $104 million. Further explaining the disparity in album sales is that, unlike the first soundtrack, the “New Moon” disc didn’t boast a tune by star Robert Pattinson on its track listing (nor does the “Eclipse” album). Of course, RPattz’s smoldering mug is all over the films. The point is, while there is a relationship between album and ticket sales, the two do not move in lockstep. “A not-perfect comparison would be when people discuss the ratings of ‘American Idol’ to how well Lee DeWyze or Crystal Bowersox are going to do [selling albums],” Caulfield noted. “The TV show exists in a different world from the artists and their music. If 20 million people tune in to vote each week, not very many of them are actually buying anything. It’s the same thing with ‘Twilight.’ Some people find the music perfectly pleasant in the film, but they’re not going to be moved to actually purchase the album for whatever reason.” What they will be moved to do is continue to the support the film franchise — “New Moon” swept the fan-voted MTV Movie Awards this month — and buy oodles of theater tickets. “New Moon” is the top-selling pre-release title in the 10-year history of ticketing site Fandango, and there’s no reason to expect “Eclipse” to suffer a dramatic drop-off (pre-sale numbers for the film are not yet available). After the film premieres, there may even be an uptick in “Eclipse” music sales. Following the November release of “New Moon,” Billboard noticed an increase in sales related to interest in the Lykke Li track, “Possibility,” which was featured during a key montage in the film and made the Oscar Best Original Song shortlist in December. “That song really resonated with people, and they wanted to get the album partially for that song,” Caulfield said. Come the June 30 premiere of “Eclipse,” the soundtrack might benefit from similar, experience-based fan curiosity. ” ‘Twilight’ has done a really great job of curating the music on the albums, because it so complements the intention of the films and the author’s intent,” Caulfield said. “People who are interested in ‘Twilight’ are especially interested in the music because it’s all part of one big story.” Have you bought the “Eclipse” soundtrack? How does it compare to the first two? Share your thoughts in the comments. We’ll be

But let us not forget that it was the President who said mere months ago that “oil rigs today generally don’t cause spills.” What are your thoughts?

‘The Hills’ Recap: Audrina Reconsiders The Justin Bobby Question

Meanwhile, Kristin nearly came to blows with Allie. By Amy Wilkinson Audrina Patridge and Ryan Cabrera on “The Hills” Tuesday Photo: MTV Many months ago, while standing on a pier overlooking the ocean, Audrina predicted that she and Justin Bobby would never speak again after that day. Boy, was she wrong. The drumming hairstylist continues to pop up in Audrina’s life, and on Tuesday’s episode of “The Hills,” it seemed she was having second thoughts about ending their relationship. Continuing last week’s debate, Audrina wondered if she should tell current boyfriend Ryan Cabrera about her run-ins with JB. Lo thought she should tell him, while Stephanie wasn’t so sure. Then Lo posed the real question: “If Justin got to the point where he could be the guy you wanted him to be, would you ever go back to him?” Audrina had no answer. It wouldn’t be long before Ryan had his own Justin Bobby meet-and-greet, as the couple ran into him at Les Deux while out partying. “I’m guessing this is supposed to be the big meeting,” Ryan joked as JB approached and shook their hands. “Did you really just shake his hand?” Lo chided Audrina. After several minutes of awkwardness, Audrina and Ryan decide to leave, but not before Ryan and Justin Bobby shared an ill-timed handshake/high-five/fist bump exchange. And in a very astute observation, JB told Brody how nice of a girl Audrina is, and how she shouldn’t be hurt by a rocker again. Words to live by, Justin. Later, when rehashing the night with Kristin, Audrina said she couldn’t help but feel like Ryan had missed his golden moment at Les Deux. “Even though it was really uncomfortable, it was Ryan’s opportunity to stand his ground,” she said. Kristin wondered whether Justin Bobby were trying to win Audrina back. When Audrina and Ryan finally sat down to discuss the uncomfortable evening, Ryan revealed that he was worried about what may happen once he’s away on tour. “If we caught each other at the wrong time, we need to figure it out,” he said. Later, when Audrina went to see Ryan in concert, she broke down in tears as he sang “On the Way Down.” When asked by Stephanie what was wrong, she couldn’t seem to articulate her thoughts, simply replying, “Everything.” When everyone met up later at the Nylon party, Audrina still wasn’t sure what to do about the Ryan/Justin Bobby situation. Meanwhile, McKaela, who showed up with trouble-making friend Allie, confronted Brody about their flagging relationship. “You left out of my life,” she accused him. Kristin told McKaela she must not be the sweet girl she pretends if she’s hanging out with Allie. At this, Allie and Kristin got into a heated argument. “What was that?” McKaela later asked Allie. “I’m humiliated, and they all hate me. Why didn’t you just walk away?” After the altercation, Kristin thanked Brody for having her back, to which Brody said he’d always have Kristin’s back. Then he really laid the charm on thick: “Can I drive you home? No. Can I take you home? Yes.” And the two left hand-in-hand. “The Hills: Final Season” airs at 10 p.m. ET/PT every Tuesday, followed by “The City” at 10:30 p.m. ET/PT on MTV. Better Late Than Never: Rachel Maddow Taken to Task From Unlikely Quarter – The Huffington Post

It’s not often I see something on The Huffington Post I look forward to reading. Here’s an exception. In a post ungrammatically titled “Why Has the New York Times and Rachel Maddow Misled Us?”, novelist and essayist Richard Greener on Thursday wrote a stinging rebuke of a Times’ June 8 editorial and Maddow’s coverage on her show the following day of the Supreme Court emergency order intervening in Arizona’s political matching funds law. The specifics of Greener’s criticism of the Times and Maddow can be found by following this link to his post. (A video clip of the Maddow segment in question can be found here ). Greener laid it on thick when it came to Maddow, initially describing her as “always intelligent, smart and savvy and usually 100 percent credible” before going after her assertions about the court’s action. He concluded that “only two explanations remain for Rachel’s bad behavior” — One is, she’s just another TV entertainer, another pretty face in a long-line of million-dollar talking heads. She shows up, gets her make-up on and she performs her ‘show’ for the camera. Unsaid, is that she hasn’t a clue what the program’s about and perhaps doesn’t care very much. After all, it’s show business and it’s her living we’re talking about. It’s only ‘acting’ isn’t it? Second is she read the order. She knows perfectly well what it says. But she had a reason to do what she did, the way she did it. I don’t want to believe the first possibility. Don’t ask me why. I don’t know Rachel Maddow and I never will. But I kinda like her. I think she’s cool. And, I admit it — I usually agree with her. But I really don’t want to believe the second because its (sic) so fundamentally dishonest, deceptive and downright creepy that it makes me a little queasy. Greener deserves credit, as does The Huffington Post, for publishing this, knowing full well that many if not most of the readers on the site are also inclined to agree with Maddow. Where I part company with Greener is in his description of Maddow as “usually 100% percent credible.” Leaving aside the many examples on NewsBusters that undermine this claim, one need not venture far from the Maddow segment that Greener criticizes to see further evidence of this. The day before Maddow’s take on the Supreme Court action, Maddow interviewed Las Vegas Sun columnist and cable-show host Jon Ralston. The interview ended with a minor but telling error on Maddow’s part when she thanked Ralston for coming on her show ( click here for audio) — MADDOW: Jon Ralston, columnist for the Las Vegas Sun, host of ‘Face to Face with Jon Ralston,’ and as a political dean of the press corps in Nevada you’ve got one of the best jobs in American politics. … Except that Ralston works in journalism, not politics. Unless the person saying this sees no distinction between the two. What followed from Maddow on Wednesday and Thursday, however, was egregious. On Wednesday’s show, the same one featuring the segment criticized by Greener, Maddow revisited her verbal jousting with John Birchers at last winter’s CPAC gathering in her attempt to tar GOP Senate nominee Sharron Angle with guilt by association ( audio here ) — MADDOW:  Seeing the John Birch Society back in the heart of the conservative movement has been sort of a trip. I mean, once they got over the impulse to try to pretend that they are not now and never were crazy about stuff like fluoride, they then got right back into the business of being super-paranoid, highly-imaginative conspiracy theorists about stuff like fluoride. These guys really believe if we’re going to get serious about stopping communist mind-control plots, we must oppose the dreaded Bolshevik fluoride in the water. Here’s the most amazing thing, though. The John Birch Society now, in that view, has a very highly placed champion, the Republican candidate for Senate in Nevada, Sharron Angle — fighter against fluoride! Really! In 1999 the Nevada state assembly passed a bill requiring the fluoridation of water in two Nevada counties. Then-assemblywoman Sharron Angle tried to block fluoridation in one of those counties. According to an account in the Las Vegas Review-Journal, ‘Angle said she simply does not like fluoride.’ A day later, Maddow embellished on the basis for Angle’s opposition to fluoridation ( audio here ) — MADDOW:  Now that Sharron Angle has won the Republican nomination for Senate to run against Harry Reid in Nevada, now the fun part. Now the fun part is watching the national Republican political establishment try to figure out what to do with Sharron Angle. Try to figure out how to balance that national Republican frothing, clamoring, heart-racing desire to beat Harry Reid with the fact that their candidate against Harry Reid thinks that fluoride in drinking water is a conspiracy and recently suggested that beer should be illegal. Sow’s ear, can you become a silk purse? Can you?! To recap: Maddow on Wednesday — Angle’s opposition to fluoridation, according to the newspaper Maddow cited quoting Angle, is personal distaste. Maddow on Thursday claims as “fact” that Angle believes fluoridation is a “conspiracy” — as in Bolshevik. Sharing Angle’s concern, by the way, is that scurrilous right-wing rag Scientific American, which ran an article titled “Second Thoughts on Fluoride” in 2008. Guess they’re in on the conspiracy too. Maddow is “usually 100% percent credible”? Hardly. More like, slippery as an oil slick.

Angelina Jolie Confirmed To Play Cleopatra In Historical Biopic

Oscar-winning megastar will play ancient Egyptian queen in iconic role, US Weekly reports. By Mawuse Ziegbe Angelina Jolie in “Salt” Photo: Sony Pictures Comparisons between superstar Angelina Jolie and ancient Egyptian queen Cleopatra might seem hyperbolic, but they’ll soon be literal: After speculation about Jolie’s possible casting as Cleopatra lit up the Net on Thursday, Us Weekly reported Friday (June 11) that the actress will indeed portray Cleopatra on the big screen. Jolie will appear in an upcoming historical biopic based on the soon-to-be-published “Queen of the Nile, Cleopatra: A Life,” publisher Little, Brown confirmed to UsMagazine.com. On Thursday, it was reported that movie producer Scott Rudin, who has been behind hit films like Julie & Julia, No Country for Old Men and Doubt, obtained the rights to the tome. Little, Brown publisher Michael Pietsch said Jolie’s regal nature was one of the main reasons she was cast. “Angelina Jolie radiates grace and power, exactly the qualities that [author] Stacy Schiff finds in her biography of the most intriguing ruler who ever lived,” Pietsch told Us. In an interview with the New York Daily News, the Pulitzer Prize-winning Schiff echoed Pietsch’s sentiments saying, “I think she’d be perfect for it, and I can see a possible Oscar in her future.” Hollywood has already brought Cleopatra’s story to the silver screen several times. The most well-known flick about the legendary ruler is the 1963 epic “Cleopatra,” which starred real-life couple Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton. Taylor took on the title role opposite Burton as her lover and Roman politico Mark Antony. This summer, fans can catch Jolie in the spy thriller “Salt,” set to hit theaters in July. Gary Coleman’s Ex-Manager Slams Shannon Price, Alleges Foul Play in Actor’s Death

Dion Mial, the former manager of Gary Coleman, is willing to flat out say what many people are secretly thinking – his death was not the result of an accident. “I wholeheartedly believe there was foul play here,” Mial told Radar Online . The 42-year-old died in May after falling and suffering a brain hemorrhage. He was hospitalized and eventually pulled off life support by his ex-wife Shannon Price. Price has come under fire from many of the actor’s friends and associates and friends for her behavior during and after his hospitalization and tragic passing. Selling that Gary Coleman death photo was the final straw. Gary Coleman and Dion Mial many years ago . Mial is the executor of Coleman’s 1999 will, which may or may not be valid (another, more recent will has surfaced in recent days but has not been made public). Executor or not, Dion has no qualms about sharing his thoughts on Price: “The picture that Shannon took in the hospital is much worse than people can see.” “There is nothing covert about her behavior and how she handled this. There are criminal intentions relative to Gary’s death,” Dion added but did not elaborate. Price, whose odd behavior began with her nonchalant 911 call after Coleman’s fall, has blamed Mial for her inability to afford the house she shared with Gary. She has continued to shop around interviews, asking up to $50,000, and in the interviews, has adamantly denied responsibility for Coleman’s fall and death. This is strange, as no one accused Shannon Price of anything, other than being a terrible person (before Mial’s quotes). All of this begs a disturbing question: Did she want Coleman dead, and somehow engineer it?
