But on later review, officials announced in July that the tennis player lawfully entered an intersection on a green light when the other driver T-boned Williams. The newly released report said Williams “was cut off by another car, setting off a chain of events that seconds later resulted in a fatal crash with a third car.” Neither Linda Barson , 68, nor Williams violated the other’s right of way. Barson’s 78-year-old husband, Jerome Barson , suffered lacerations to his spleen and pelvis and spinal fractures. Unfortunately, he died 13 days later, after developing multi-organ failure while struggling for his life in an intensive care unit. Barson had filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Williams. The tragic wreck happened during the time Williams, 37, was preparing to compete in London at the Wimbledon grand slam. She was clearly impacted emotionally from the incident. “I am divested and heartbroken by this accident. My heartfelt condolences go out to the family and friends of Jerome Barson and I continue to keep them in my thoughts and prayers,” she wrote. Kathy Griffin Goes After Andy Cohen, Harvey Levin and More in INSANE Rant!

Kathy Griffin has some things to say. And, as you’ll see, that’s actually a massive, massive understatement. Back in May, as you’ll surely remember, Kathy did a photo shoot in which she held the decapitated head of Donald Trump — a Halloween mask covered in ketchup. It caused quite a stir: she was fired from multiple gigs, and she was even the subject of a federal investigation. Shortly after sharing the photo, she apologized , explaining that sometimes with comedy, lines can be crossed, and this was one of those times. But in the months since, she’s retracted her apology because “The whole thing got so blown out of proportion.” She said that the photo didn’t only cost her jobs, but friends began turning against her, she and her family started getting death threats. And now, five months later, she’s still dealing with the backlash. Earlier this week, it was announced that Andy Cohen would be replacing Kathy on CNN’s New Year’s Eve special, and when Andy was asked about it by TMZ, he replied with “Who? I don’t know her.” Meaning that he didn’t know Kathy — you know that classic Mariah Carey move. Except that Andy and Kathy definitely know each other, since she had a show on Bravo for years. She addressed that in a pointed tweet. “Even when it’s on tape, there are doubters?” she wrote. “He is NOT kidding w paps. Was my boss for 10 years. Treated me like a dog. Deeply misogynistic.” She was so upset by Andy’s words that she did a 17 minute video in which she went after him, TMZ boss Harvey Levin, and all the people she’s ever interacted with in her career that did her dirty. She kicks the video off by explaining that the fallout from the Trump photo is still going on , and it’s actually gotten worse. To prove that, she shares a voicemail she’d gotten from Harvey — he asked her to call him back for a chat and left his phone number, which she doesn’t disguise at all in the video. The reason for releasing his phone number, she says, is because after the Trump photo was released, she was doxxed mercilessly — and she feels that since Harvey is “in bed with everybody from Hollywood to Donald Trump,” he deserves similar treatment. From there, she jumps on to Andy Cohen, who she says was a “miserable boss” during her years at Bravo. She mocks him a bit for being an executive who then gave himself his own talk show — “seems to get picked up every season,” she joked. After that, Kathy jumps back to Harvey for a moment — she seems a little scatterbrained throughout the video, honestly, but we can’t really blame her. She claims that Tyler Shields, the photographer who took the photo, told her that two different people from TMZ told him that Harvey speaks with Trump multiple times a week. “Is that OK with you guys?” she asks. “The president talking to a gossip blogger?” Back to Andy, Kathy alleges that the two times she appeared on Watch What Happens Live, he offered her cocaine before filming began. So there’s that. About TMZ, she says that the website itself is extremely misogynistic, and that ageism is a big problem, too. “Harvey Levin, have you ever done anything honorable, ever?” she asks. “What do you do besides tear women down and make a bunch of money?” She actually refers to him as “the gay male version of Kellyanne Conway.” All throughout the video, she names people — not famous people, just people she’s worked with in the industry — who she feels let her down in some way. After all this, at the end of the video, she explains that she recorded it in the first place because she’s currently on a world tour, and she’s leaving Australia soon for Singapore. She’s been advised that she’s on multiple international lists, and that she’s been detained at every airport she’s been to in recent months. “So when I go to Singapore, if I just don’t return, I just want you guys to know, that’s why. Because I took a picture of a mask with ketchup on it.” Thoughts?

Joanna and Chip Gaines: It’s Over!*

* Professionally, that is. With Chip Gaines having just released a new book, the HGTV star and his beloved wife have been sitting for a number of promotional interviews this week. Plenty has been revealed in these segments, but perhaps the most intriguing tidbit of all is Chip’s admission that he’d be open to a return to television. Under one condition, that is: Joanna isn’t invited! Asked by Daily Pop host Justin Sylvester whether he could envision himself starring on another series down the line, Chip said the following: “It would have to be a show where it would be me, just all by myself – that could be a thing that I would be interested in.” He may have been joking, but he may also just be interested in branching out a bit. Chip and Joanna shocked and saddened fans this month when they announced Fixer Upper was coming to an end after Season 5 . Asked about that decision in this interview, Joanna referenced her four children and stated: “Our kids are getting older for us and time seems to be slipping away faster, so I think we wanted to take a step back and get refreshed and focus on what’s next for us.” The stars are parents to Drake, 12; Ella, 11; Duke, 9 and Emmie Kay, 7. In addition to Fixer Upper, which is HGTV’s top-rated program, the twosome have quite an empire. There’s the home improvement business… their Magnolia Market store… their magazine, The Magnolia Journal … and retail collaborations, including a partnership with Target . There have also been rumors of relationship tension between Chip and Joanna because the Internet can’t help but speculate on the status of famous couples. And while Chip has shot down such chatter in the past, he actually gave it a “little credence” in speaking with The Today Show on Tuesday. “For us, the most important thing in the world is Jo and I’s relationship, followed very quickly by these four beautiful kids [of ours],” he said, adding: “We didn’t want to push it, to redline it for so long that we woke up and realized we are at a point of no return. “We wanted to take a step back and focus on what is absolutely the most important thing to us.” The Capital Gaines author continued: “People in our inner circle, I tell them we’re as healthy as we’ve ever been. I just didn’t want to keep pushing this envelope to the fullest extent. “We’re really thankful that we had the opportunity to step back and take a break.” Things certainly do sound fine and dandy between the parents of four. Consider Joanna’s caption to a new Instagram photo of herself, her husband and his book: This guy right here… I get to live life with him. I get to hear his thoughts and benefit from his wisdom and encouragement on a daily basis. The reason I am who I am today is because Chip pushed me to go for it. People think of him as a jokester, and he is. It’s a huge part of why I fell in love with him in the first place. But he is so much more than that. He is the ultimate cheerleader, coach and dream maker. I am so thrilled that his book releases today mostly because I believe it holds truth that the world is in desperate need of. Britney Spears is one of the most popular artists on the planet. With countless infectious hits under her belt, the superstar has turned her attention to something new of late.  That brand new hobby is painting, and we have to admit, she looks like a flawless painter, and no, we're not just saying that because she's painting along to the soothing sound of Mozart.  The 35-year-old looks as relaxed as ever as she stands on the balcony of her beautiful house. Wearing a bra, it's like she does not have a care in the world.  Britney shared the video on Friday, along with the following caption: “Sometimes you just gotta play!” The empowering line was accompanied by a lot of emoticons. We get it, Britney, you like to spend your downtime on your balcony with some classical music, and you're not ashamed to tell the world about it.  Britney has staged a rare comeback after years in a downward spiral. Just when it looked like her career was over, she got the help she needed and had a recent hit album that proved the hitmaker was back and better than ever.  On top of that, she has that lucrative Vegas residency, so all is right in the world of Britney. She's also been dating Sam Asghari, so she has a solid career, love and a beautiful family.  Recent reports have suggested she is ready to pop the question to Sam and ask him to marry her. Ariana Grande Calls for Gun Control in Wake of Las Vegas Shooting

As documented below, celebrities from all industries have issued statements of shock and sorrow on social media in light of Sunday night’s shooting in Las Vegas . But we feel as though Ariana Grande deserves to be singled out for a moment. Tragically, the young singer is all too familiar with the sort massacre that took place in Nevada over the weekend, as over 20 concert goers were killed in Manchester this spring toward the end of a Grande performance. Clearly (and understandably) VERY shaken by that incident, the artist penned an open letter shortly after the terrorist act that reads as follows: “I am sorry for the pain and fear that you must be feeling and for the trauma that you, too, must be experiencing. “We will never be able to understand why events like this take place because it is not in our nature, which is why we shouldn’t recoil. We will not quit or operate in fear. “We won’t let this divide us. We won’t let hate win.” Sadly, Grande has now been forced to share a similar statement, after a 64-year old named Stephen Paddock opened fire in Las Vegas on fans at a country music festival. At the latest count, Paddock killed 58 people and injured over 500 others. After committing the deadliest mass shooting in American history, he then took his own life. View Slideshow: Las Vegas Shooting: Celebrities React to Terrorist Attack On Monday, Grande responded to this Las Vegas shooting with grief and with emotion, but also with a call for action. “My heart is breaking for Las Vegas,” she tweeted. “We need love, unity, peace, gun control & for people to look at this & call this what it is = terrorism.” Amen, right? Grande’s manager Scooter Braun also penned a lengthy message to his followers, reflecting on the attack in Vegas while referencing his own memories from Manchester. “I don’t really have words this morning. I am deeply saddened. And as horrifying as it is to say I can’t tell you I’m surprised,” he wrote, adding: “Our greatest challenges are ahead of us. What took place in Las Vegas last night should never happen. What took place in Manchester should never happen. What took place in Charlottesville should never happen. “But they are happening. And ALL of them are terrorist attacks.” Concluded Braun: They all strike fear in our ability to live our lives .They all make us question taking our children, our friends our loved ones to public events that are supposed to bring us joy…in fear of devastation. They are all attacks on our way of life and our way of love. So first let me say my heart breaks for all those affected in Las Vegas. Nothing we  do can bring back your loved ones and I am so sorry. For those in the hospital recovering we are with you. Keep fighting. And for all of us..who are we? What will we choose to do in response? Will we just Instagram and move on? Will we think this is about a hashtag with the word #vegas in it? Or will we wait until the next one affects us? THIS One affects us. #LASVEGAS is ALL of us. The echoed the words ‘Manchester we’re strong, we’re strong, we’re strong. We’ll keep singing our songs, our songs our songs.’ This repeated for 15 minutes as they exited. Defiance in the face of fear. Las Vegas we’re strong. We’re strong. We’re strong. We’ll keep singing our songs…Together. This is an attack on your friends, your family, your kids, your way of life. So as we think about those lost and those hurt this morning …what do you and I owe them? Powerful stuff. We send our thoughts to all affected by this tragedy.

Tens of thousands of famous figures have responded to the tragedy on social media, with most offering thoughts and prayers, and many calling for stricter gun control laws.
