Jennifer Hudson Explains Why She’s STILL Single As A Dollar Bill After 8 Years of Engagement To David Otunga

Jennifer Hudson Speaks On Delayed Marriage Jennifer Hudson knows that despite having a rock on her hand for the last 8 years, most folks think she’s never getting married . And judging by her latest interview, with Britain’s “Loose Women” show…they might be right. Jennifer explained why she’s been slow-poking it down the aisle with forever fiancee David Otunga , and how if they’re happy the way they are, taking the next step might actually wreck the flow rather than bring them closer. Via The Mirror : “I feel like everything is about timing, and he ain’t going nowhere. He’s still there. Everyone has married us off anyway and we’re still a family but there’s no difference. I’m a believer in you do well and better in what you want to do rather than what you have to do. If you have to be somewhere, you don’t want to do it no more.” Well that’s all well and good — to each their own, after all. But why bother getting “engaged” at all if this is the attitude you take as a couple? Your thoughts? The Mirror/Splash/WENN

Girl Meets World: Canceled After Three Seasons!

Looks like the rumors about Girl Meets World not make the cut for a fourth season were actually true since the Disney Channel series has been canceled after three seasons.  The Twitter handle for the writers of the series took to Twitter on Wednesday night to confirm that the show was really over.  “It is with incredible pride in our work and complete sadness that things end, that I report to this wonderful audience that our show is over,” said the tweets.  “I just officially got the call, and would like to thank this audience for its incredible love and loyalty. Please watch our January episodes” Have a look at all of the tweets from the writer below.  Series star, Rowan Blanchard was devastated by the news and revealed some of her thoughts on the matter via Twitter.  “Being on Girl Meets World is the most significant event in my life thus far, it changed absolutely every aspect of it, and takes up most of the life, I am able to remember,” Rowan Blanchard wrote. View Slideshow: 19 Teen Dramas We Miss More and More Everyday “It is with this cast family I experienced mourning and heartbreak and overjoyment and long days that turned into long nights, each and every moment so painstakingly beautiful.”  Thanks to the show I have four moms, three of which are named Elizabeth, all of which became best friends themselves.” Rowan added, “Doing a show in general, specifically doing a show as a child into your teenhood, is so incredibly cosmic and scary but you do it because you love these people, because this has become your routine, because it is the closest you will get to being in real school, etc.” “I am crying typing this because yes, we were making a show, but our lives turned into a movie. We dressed The Breakfast Club, hid under stairwells to tell each other about our crushes, sobbed together when we suffered the death our teacher… these are things you don’t forget. That I will never forget.” The cancelation comes as the shock to pretty much no one. After Disney Channel refused to confirm the series’ fate, fans have been wondering what would become of it.  Recently, Rider Strong sent shock waves through the fan base when he implied that the show was over, but sources close to the production refuted the claims, saying there was no word on a renewal.  Unfortunately, it seems like most of the cast and crew had a feeling the show was over as a lot of them seemed to say goodbye to the show when filming concluded.  What do you think about the show coming to a close?  Sound off below!

Billie Lourd Breaks Silence, Thanks Fans for Well Wishes

Billie Lourd has spoken out for the first time since the death of her mother. And her grandmother. The child of Carrie Fisher, Lourd stunningly and tragically lost both loved ones over the course of 24 hours last week; first when Fisher passed away from a heart attack and then when  Reynolds died from a stroke . It was a shocking and heartbreaking turn of events. Fans have been sending their condolences to Lourd ever since, wishing all the best to the Scream Queens 2 star in this impossibly challenging time period. And now Lourd has acknowledges their messages. “Receiving all of your prayers and kind words over the past week has given me strength during a time I thought strength could not exist,” Lourd wrote on Instagram. She added: “There are no words to express how much I will miss my Abadaba and my own and only Momby. Your love and support means the world to me.” As you can see below, Lourd included a photo of herself as a child with the post. It also features younger versions of Fisher and Reynolds: At 60 years old, Fisher, died unexpectedly on December 27, four days after suffering a heart attack on board an airplane. Reynolds, her 84-year-old mother, proceeded to pass away the next day after suffering a reported stroke. According to Reynolds’ son, the veteran actress said she wanted to be “with Carrie” just prior to passing away. The 24-year-old Lourd, whose father is Hollywood agent Bryan Lourd, appeared opposite her mother in 2015’s Star Wars: The Force Awakens. She is not a household name, but all of Hollywood and everyone on Twitter has had Lourd in their thoughts and prayers in the days since these terrible events. View Slideshow: Billie Lourd Photos: Who is Carrie Fisher’s Daughter? On December 12, Lourd appeared opposite Seth Meyers and talked about life as the daughter of an icon. She told the talk show that that Fisher and Reynolds originally attempted to dissuade Billie from pursuing acting, yet were overwhelmingly proud of her accomplishments after she decided to take this path. The young star even said at the time that Reynolds offered a suggestion for how Lourd should be referred to in Hollywood. “She gets really upset when I get called ‘Carrie Fisher’s daughter,’” Lourd told Meyers. “She wants people to call me ‘Debbie Reynolds’ granddaughter.’ It’s very offensive to her. She does not like to be cut out — not at all.” Great stuff. Also: sad, sad, sad stuff. Over the past week or so, a great number of of Lourd’s Scream Queens costars have reached out via social media to send their support. Here’s a look at what celebrities have said in the wake of Fisher’s death: View Slideshow: Carrie Fisher: Mourned, Honored by Hollywood As previously reported, Fisher and Reynolds will be mourned at a joint funeral later this week. We continue to send our condolences to Lourd and everyone else so closely touched by these tragic passings.

Jenelle Evans Breaks Down in Court Over Assault Charges

Poor, poor Jenelle Evans. have you ever even heard of someone who's had it as hard as she has? She's been arrested time after time, and yes, she committed crimes and broke the law, but … come on. She's been fighting her mother to regain custody of her own son for years now, and yes, she's the one who gave up custody to begin with, and yes, she hasn't really shown that she deserves to win custody. But seriously, come on. Jenelle is obviously a victim, don't you see? When she gets arrested or when she gets into a fight with her mother, none of it is her fault. At least, that's what Jenelle would have us believe. In this new clip from the upcoming season of Teen Mom 2 — the premiere airs on Monday night! — Jenelle is in court yet again, this time for assault charges. She attacked Jessica Henry , her ex Nathan Griffith's new girlfriend, by throwing a glass at her head last August. She went to court in April, where, spoiler alert, she was found not guilty , and MTV cameras were there to film the whole mess. In this clip, you see Jenelle tell the story of the assault from her point of view. She starts crying, she struggles to get through her story, and yes, she totally is the victim here. Check out the madness in the video below:

Alec Baldwin Jokes About Carrie Fisher Death, Draws Internet Ire

Like so many celebrities before him, Alec Baldwin has written a Tweet about Carrie Fisher’s death . Unlike so many celebrities before him, however, Baldwin used this sad occasion to take a swipe at Donald Trump. Baldwin and the President-Elect, of course, have been engaged in a pretty serious (that is, ridiculous) social media battle ever since the actor started to play the racist bully on Saturday Night Live. Which is all good and fine and entertaining and everything. But Baldwin may have taken his disdain for the impending Commander-in-Chief a bit too far when he incorporated his hatred for Trump into a Tweet about Fisher. Wait… what?!? How did he manage to pull that off? “Death comes in threes,” Baldwin Tweeted, jokingly adding: “Carrie Fisher George Michael The integrity of the Oval Office.” Ummm…. zing, we guess? LOL… to some? Not to others, however, who felt as though Baldwin showed major disrespect to Fisher by using her passing as a chance to once again lay into Trump. “SUCH bad taste,” wrote one Internet user, while another said: “Another idiot that had to politicize someones death instead of just saying R.I.P. Carrie! I guess that’s too much to ask!” Other criticisms included the following: – “2 human beings lost their lives. Why make it political. Tacky and tasteless!” – “Pretty tacky that you linked their deaths to politics. BTW, the integrity of the Oval Office was lost 8 years ago.” Baldwin worked with Fisher on an episode of 30 Rock. No one doubts that he meant little harm with his Tweet. But he still should have known better. Or he should have at least come up with better material. A joke about Donald Trump being an unfit President is not exactly new, or particularly hilarious. If you’re going to dip your foot in controversial waters, you’ve gotta make sure you’re being funny. Last month, Lisa Edelstein came under fire for a similar joke. She quipped that Alan Thicke died to avoid Trump’s presidency, writing of the actor’s death: “RIP Alan Thicke. Seems like everyone is checking out before the Trumpacolypse.” Elsewhere across Hollywood, more proper condolences have been pouring in regard to Fisher. “Yesterday was a horrible day. Carrie was a special, wonderful girl. It’s too soon,” wrote her ex-husband, Paul Simon. Added former co-star Harrison Ford: “Carrie was one-of-a-kind…brilliant, original. Funny and emotionally fearless. She lived her life, bravely…My thoughts are with her daughter Billie, her mother Debbie, her brother Todd, and her many friends. We will all miss her.” View Slideshow: Carrie Fisher: Mourned, Honored by Hollywood And George Lucas: “Carrie and I have been friends most of our adult lives. She was extremely smart; a talented actress, writer and comedienne with a very colorful personality that everyone loved. “In Star Wars she was our great and powerful princess—feisty, wise and full of hope in a role that was more difficult than most people might think. My heart and prayers are with Billie, Debbie and all Carrie’s family, friends and fans.” And, finally, Fisher’s famous mother, Debbie Reynolds: “Thank you to everyone who has embraced the gifts and talents of my beloved and amazing daughter. “I am grateful for your thoughts and prayers that are now guiding her to her next stop.” The Hollywood Gossip continues to send our thoughts and prayers to Fisher’s family, friends and loved ones.

Carrie Fisher Dies; Beloved Star Wars Actress Was 60

Carrie Fisher, a veteran actress best known and revered for her role as Princess Leia in the Star Wars franchise, has passed away. She was 60 years old. Fisher was flying from London to Los Angeles on a United flight when she  suffered a major heart attack  on board an airplane late last week. The incident took place 15 minutes before the flight landed in LAX. Once the plane landed, paramedics worked on the star for 15 minutes with CPR before they were able to find the star’s pulse. She was then transferred to UCLA Medical Center and was in critical condition before succumbing to the heart attack earlier Tuesday. Family spokesman Simon Halls released a statement to the media on behalf of Fisher’s daughter, Billie Lourd: “It is with a very deep sadness that Billie Lourd confirms that her beloved mother Carrie Fisher passed away at 8:55 this morning.” “She was loved by the world and she will be missed profoundly. Our entire family thanks you for your thoughts and prayers.” Fisher, of course, sky-rocketed to fame in 1977 as one of the main characters in George Lucas’ iconic space opera  Star Wars . She recently reprised the role of Princess Leia in 2015’s The Force Awakens and next year’s Star Wars: Episode VIII . It’s unclear what will happen to Leia’s storyline in Episode IX, tentatively scheduled for release in December 2019. Along with this legendary film character, Fisher appeared on a number of films and TV shows over the years. She had been the voice of Angela on Family Guy since 2005; stopped by The Big Bang Theory as herself in 2014; and also portrayed Mia in Catastrophe. Fisher was even nominated for a pair of Primetime Emmy Awards: Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series for her role on 30 Rock in 2008; and Outstanding Variety, Music or Comedy Special for Wishful Drinking in 2011. Fisher also recently made headlines when she came out and admitted to an affair with Harrison Ford way back during the filming of A New Hope . She spoke of this romantic entanglement as part of her press tour for The Princess Diarist, a memoir that was released on November 22 of this year. Three decades earlier, Fisher wrote her first memoir, along with the screenplay for the movie based on the book. She was married to Bryan Lourd and Paul Simon; Billie is her only child. The daughter of showbiz veteran Debbie Reynolds and entertainer Eddie Fisher, she was brought up in the world of film, theater and TV. Fisher made her film debut in the Warren Beatty-lead Shampoo while she was a teenager and was just 19 when she was cast in Star Wars . In addition to the second and third Star Wars films, Fisher starred in 1980’s The Blues Brothers and The Man with One Red Shoe. She appeared in Woody Allen’s Hannah and Her Sisters in 1986 and, later, the award-winning classic  When Harry Met Sally . Fisher wed musician Paul Simon in 1983. Theirs was an explosive marriage, according to Homeward Bound: The Life of Paul Simon author Peter Ames Carlin. The union was cut short by swinging stages of depression, the actress’ drug use and an array of personal insecurities. Nevertheless, the tumultuous relationship continued, on-and-off for several years, after the pair got divorced in 1984.  The star’s substance abuse problem was well-known, starting at only age 13 when she first started smoking marijuana, Fisher said. She later dabbled in drugs like cocaine and LSD. Fisher’s addiction was largely profiled in her 1987 best-selling, semi-autobiographical novel, Postcards from the Edge. Always open about her life, in good times and bad, Fisher’s book was later turned into a movie starring Meryl Streep. Fisher is the latest in a long line of major names to have passed away in 2016, as tragically detailed in the gallery below. We send our condolences to her friends, family members and other loved ones as they mourn the passing of one of the true greats.
