George R.R. Martin Teases Fans: Which Hated Game Of Thrones Character is "Still Alive"?

There was one question on the mind of millions of fans after the Game of Thrones Season 5 finale : Is Jon Snow really dead ? We’ll have to wait a few months for that answer, but George R.R. Martin – ever cantankerous, yet always happy to engage with fans – has already dropped a bombshell regarding the fate of a different character. During a recent online chat sesh, Martin was asked if the daughter-torching megalomaniac Stannis Baratheon is still alive.  His answer? “In my books? Alive, beyond a doubt.” We know what you’re thinking: “So what? The show departs from the books all the time. I totally saw Stannis get killed by Brienne of Tarth.” To which we respond: 1. You have a bit of an attitude problem, ya know that? and 2. Did you really see Brienne deliver that death blow? Watch the scene again: Stannis Baratheon Death Scene Would a show that’s famous for grisly deaths really deny us the sight of such a reviled character getting his head lopped off? Need we remind you that the dude allowed his own daughter to be burned at the stake just one episode prior? At this point, we’re thinking the smart money is on Stannis still being alive on the show. Of course, if he was captured by Ramsay Bolton, he’s probably wishing he was dead. Watch Game of Thrones online at TV Fanatic to hold yourself over until the premiere of season 6.

BURNED! Michael Clifford Catches Fire at London Concert

Michael Clifford had a hair-raising experience at a recent show at Wembley Arena in London. Actually, Michael Clifford had a hair-burning experience to be exact. 5 Seconds of Summer was performing its hit “She Looks So Perfect” on stage when flames shot up and singed the guitarist’s head. Clifford responded by grabbing a towel and running off stage, as Ashton Irwin later told the audience: “Michael has hurt himself, so we will not be continuing the show right now.” Fortunately, Clifford later posted this Twitter photo and “im doing ok.” He even plans on rejoining the band immediately for its next concert in London. What a trooper!

Game of Thrones Season 5 Finale Photos: Sucks To Be Cersei!

After what might be the most memorable run of episodes in the show's history, Game of Thrones Season 5 will come to an end this Sunday. As always, numerous plot strands have been left dangling, and we're curious to see how showrunners D.B. Weiss and David Benioff will cap off the season in a satisfying fashion, while still leaving fans thirsting for more. Is it even possible for them to top the epic White Walker battle of ” Hardhome ,” or the flame-spewing badassery at the end of ” The Dance of Dragons “? We have our doubts, but if they pull it off, it wouldn't be the first time Weiss and Benioff shocked us out of our seats. Sunday's episode is titled “Mother's Mercy,” and we can't help but wonder what which one of GoT's mom's will finally show some real maternal instinct. Will Cersei finally do right by Tommen? Perhaps Dany will manage to re-assemble her entire dragon family. Heck, maybe Gilly will take her son away from the increasingly horrific goings on at Castle Black. Now that the show has officially left the books in the dust plot-wise, there's no telling what might come next. But feel free to check out these pics from the finale and engage in some wild speculation:   1. Cersei Lannister Has Looked Better Cersei’s been in the slammer for the past few episodes. That’ll teach her to hand her power over to religious nut jobs! (And bang her cousin, kill her husband, etc…) 2. Sansa Looks Shocked Sansa appears to be unpleasantly surprised. That’s pretty much how we looked when she married Ramsay. 3. Jaqen H’ghar Jaqen and the creepy hall with all the faces. How come he gets a cool name, and Arya has to be just “A Girl”? 4. The Khaleesi’s Dudes Tyrion, Jorah and Daario. We’re assuming they’re posing for the cover of their debut album. 5. Stannis and Melisandre Spoiler alert: Melisandre is probably all, “Sorry I made you burn your daughter alive. That was totally lame of me.” 6. Conference at Castle Black Jon and Sam hold a powwow. We get the feeling their Night Watch brothers may soon cause them some trouble. View Slideshow

Game of Thrones’ Most Shocking Deaths: Who Will Eat Valyrian Steel in Season 5?

Unless you’ve been locked up in the Dreadfort wondering what’s in Ramsay Bolton’s sausage, then you’ve probably heard by now:  Game of Thrones Season 5 premieres on Sunday, and the whole world is pretty damn psyched about it. We mean, like, literally the whole world. The episode will air simultaneously in over 170 countries, a move that’s likely to bring in record ratings worldwide.  If you’re anything like the producers of Vikings, you might be wondering what it is that makes GoT so wildly popular. Well, there’s the incredibly intricate world that the show has built over four seasons; the witty repartee amongst complex, fully-realized characters; the political intrigue; the… Oh who are we kidding? It’s all about the blood and boobs.  We’ve already covered the hottest women in Game of Thrones , so now onto the other reason your 13-year-old nephew just signed up for HBO Now: View Slideshow: 9 Shocking Game of Thrones Deaths The slideshow above offers a quick refresher on some of the more memorable deaths from Game of Thrones’  first four seasons. As for who will eat it this year, well, your guess is as good as ours. We’re sure you can scroll down to the comments for unwanted spoilers from book-readers, if you’re so inclined.   One thing that’s great about GoT is that we know that several people will shuffle off the mortal coil, and at least one of them will be a major character. Lots of shows kill off scores of minor nobodies (We’re looking at you, The Walking Dead!), but what makes GoT is the fact that anyone can go at any time. Okay, just about anyone. We’re pretty sure fan favorites Daenerys and Tyrion are safe for the time being, but from the moment Ilyn Payne made Ned Stark a head shorter in season one, you knew there was no character too big for this show to kill off. So peep out the gallery above for some traumatizing flash cards and then watch Game of Thrones online at TV Fanatic to get caught up for the finale. We won’t tell anyone if you pause the nude scenes.

Game of Thrones Season 5: First Poster, Clip!

Winter is not coming. As millions of irritated Americans know by now, winter is here . But dragons are definitely coming to Game of Thrones Season 5; fully grown, dangerous dragons that we’re afraid Daenerys won’t even be able to control. Along those lines, check out the first official poster for the return of this epic drama… and someone tell Tyrion to run! It appears as if everyone’s favorite diminutive Westeros resident is on a ship in this image, which makes sense. When we last saw Tyrion, he had put multiple arrows into the chest of his toilet-bound father (ummm…. SPOILER ALERT!) and went on the lam. Does this poster tease imminent death for Tyrion? George R.R. Martin did recently tease a handful of shocking deaths to come. They will even take book followers by surprise. HBO has also released the first clip from  Game of Thrones Season 5 . Emilia Clarke: Game of Thrones Star Would Rather Be on Girls!

Emilia Clarke may already star on one hit HBO series, but while the Game of Thrones actress changed her look and learned to be a badass mother of dragons for her role as Daenerys Targaryen, she still feels like she’s better suited for Williamsburg than Westeros. “I’d give my right arm to be, like, a random extra on  Girls . Just to walk past one of the scenarios. I’d love that more than anything,” Clarke said in a recent interview. Clarke added: “Only, without the wig, they wouldn’t recognize me,” referring to the fact that she looks completely different on Game of Thrones ,  as she sports brown hair and a much softer look in real life. GOT has made Emilia an Internet fan favorite with dozens of sites devoted to praising her looks and talent. She’s basically the opposite of Lena Dunham who gets plenty of attention online, but mainly in the form of tweets encouraging her to put her clothes back on. Still, Clarke says she dreams of a collaboration with Dunham. Not to knock Girls, but we think it would be something of a demotion for Emilia. Amassing a world-conquering army is slightly cooler than collecting STDs. Just sayin’.  You can watch Game of Thrones online at TV Fanatic and check out Emilia at her hottest in the gallery below: 9 Fiery Photos of Emilia Clarke Open Slideshow 1.
