It was “a classic, simple, very pretty, garden-inspired wedding ,” a source said. Guests included Jimmy Fallon and wife Nancy Juvonen, Busy Philipps and her husband, and Cameron Diaz, who were also present for the rehearsal dinner. The actress, who is pregnant with her first child, and was spotted trying on wedding veils at an NYC bridal shop in May, donned a Chanel gown Saturday. Fittingly, her new husband’s father, Arie Kopelman, is a former Chanel CEO. As the newlyweds look ahead to impending parenthood, friends say the former L.A. wild child, who is twice divorced, is eager to begin her life as a mom. Former Dexter star Julie Benz married Rich Orosco on Saturday. The couple tied the knot at 6 p.m. at the historic John Sowden house in the Los Feliz area of Los Angeles. The wedding featured a Mexican theme, in a nod to Cinco de Mayo and the groom, a marketing executive of Mexican heritage. Engaged since last June, the actress, 40, first met Orosco, 39, five years ago, her rep confirmed at the time the engagement was announced. Kanye West still claims to love Kim Kardashian in his latest single, but he has relevant breaking news regarding the track initially dubbed “Theraflu.” It is now titled “Way Too Cold,” a move Kanye labels as a “creative decision” on his official website, but more likely one made in response to backlash from Theraflu manufacturer Novartis, which released the following statement soon after the song hit the Internet: “Novartis Consumer Health in no way endorses or approves of the references or use of the image and likeness of Theraflu in this manner.” Kanye West – “Theraflu” West is also facing fire from PETA for a lyric in the single that mentions how his “mink is draggin’ on the floor.” Don’t look for him to give in to those attention-starved morons, though. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie plan to tie the knot at last at their sprawling estate in France this summer, then move to England for at least two years, reports say. While the newly-engaged couple says there is no date planned for their nuptials, the New York Post says they’ve spent the last six months planning them. The plan, allegedly, is to hold a lavish wedding ceremony at their manse near the village of Correns, in the south of France, London’s Daily Star adds. The engaged Brangelina will reportedly exchange vows in a pre-Roman chapel on the grounds before 200-300 guests, many of them Hollywood elites. Pals George Clooney, Matt Damon, Johnny Depp, Tom Cruise, Jacqueline Bisset and her once-estranged father Jon Voight are expected to be on hand. “They have been quietly preparing for one of the most glamorous show-business weddings of all time for months,” a close friend of the couple said. “I’ve seen their chateau; it is one of the most romantic settings imaginable.” As soon as the Brad-Angelina engagement news spread, locals began buzzing about “Le Mariage de Monsieur et Madame Smith,” a takeoff on Mr. and Mrs. Smith . Paul McCartney has unveiled the official music video for his latest single, “My Valentine,” and it features a pair of very famous faces. Directed by the iconic musician himself, and filmed in black and white, the video stars Johnny Depp and Natalie Portman, who both use sign language in conjunction with McCartney’s lyrics. It debuted Friday night at Stella McCartney’s boutique, where stars such as Gwen Stefani, Reese Witherspoon, Kristen Stewart , Gwyneth Paltrow and Zooey Deschanel were all in attendance. For Lady Antebellum member Dave Haywood, just a kiss yesterday signified a lifetime commitment to girlfriend Kelli Cashiola. The pair got married outside Nashville! The ceremony took place at Front Porch Farms in Ashland City and attendees include bandmates Charles Kelley and Hillary Scott, the latter of whom also tied the knot this year. Haywood and Cashiola (a record executive) were friends for years before they started dating, going public with their romance in early November. Music legend Jerry Lee Lewis is a married man. The 76-year-old tied the knot with 62-year-old Judith Brown on March 9 in Natchez, Miss., CNN reports. Interestingly, Brown was previously married to the legendary rocker’s cousin, Rusty. Whose sister Myra Gale Brown married Lewis when she was just 13 back in 1957. So, yeah, it’s a little unusual. It’s also Jerry’s seventh marriage overall. Lewis, also known as The Killer, has been a rock-and-roll icon for decades thanks to such classic hits as “Great Balls of Fire” and “Whole Lotta Shakin’ Goin’ On.” Lewis and his sixth wife, who were married for 20 years, divorced in 2004. Here’s hoping Jerry finds happiness this time around. Goodness gracious, indeed!
Heartfelt best wishes are in order for Danny Gokey and Leyicet Peralta. The former American Idol finalist tied the knot with this model in Florida yesterday, Gokey’s manager confirms to People , with the couple releasing a statement that reads: “We are so thankful to have found each other and now be able to spend the rest of our lives together. We pray our gratitude grows more every day because there is so much for us to do now.” Gokey’s first wife, Sophia, passed away in 2008 following surgery for congenital heart disease. Danny and Leyicet have since started a charity in her name and asked guests at their wedding for donations in lieu of gifts. Described as a day of romance and love, Gokey adds that the event was concluded in the sweetest way possible: via a cake he says was “three tiers of chocolaty heaven.”
Guess he finally ran out of sorry’s… TMZ reports : “American Idol” champ Ruben Studdard has filed for divorce, TMZ has learned. The Velvet Teddy Bear (who won Season 2 back in 2003) filed the papers in Alabama … citing — what else — “irreconcilable differences.” Ruben and his wife Surata Zuri McCants tied the knot in 2008. They have no kids. A rep for Studdard tells us, “Ruben and Zuri have gone their separate ways.” Aww! How sad for them. Then again… maybe Zuri was never really the marrying type . Kris Humphries and Kim Kardashian who?!? Zooey Deschanel has break-up news of her own to share. Following two years of marriage, the New Girl actress has separated from Death Cab for Cutie lead singer Ben Gibbard. “It was mutual and amicable,” a source tells Us Weekly . “There was no third party involved.” Deschanel and Gibbard tied the knot outside of Seattle, Washington in late September 2009.
