Julie Chen is married to Les Moonves. And this is a rather awkward arrangement at the moment. That's because Chen is a CBS host, likely best known for emceeing Big Brother; and Moonves is the just-ousted CBS President, who was recently removed from his position due to accusations of sexual misconduct. Like we said: AWKWARD! Chen briefly touched on this scandal back when news about it spread, but she hasn't said very much about it since. Until the night of September 13, that is. To close out an episode of Big Brother, Chen signed off in a way that showed support for her husband. It was subtle, yet also obvious, and social media users have A LOT to say about it. We have shocking news to report from the world of Married at First Sight: One of the couples featured on this Lifetime reality series has called it quits. Why is this so surprising, considering the finale of each Married at First Sight season ends with twosomes deciding to give their love an extended shot … or to go their separate ways? Because this break-up has taken place during the season. Indeed, with new Season 7 installments airing every Tuesday night, Mia Bally and Tristan Thompson* have announced that they can’t pretend any longer. They can’t spend another moment as husband and wife. They are getting a divorce. (*No, not that Tristan Thompson ; not the basketball player who has scarcely met an Instagram model he didn’t want to bend over and simply pound. We’re talking about this other one.) According to People Magazine, Bally filed for this legal split in Dallas County, Texas, on September 4. It shouldn’t come as a shock to anyone who’s been watching Married at First Sight that this relationship has come to a conclusion. It’s only unexpected that Bally is the one who has filed the paperwork. Over the course of the past few weeks, Thompson has been struggling with a few issues from Mia’s past, specificially that she was arrested years ago on a charge of stalking . This information came to light after Mia was detained and questioned at the airport while the newlyweds were set to embark on their honeymoon. Later on, Tristan learned that Bally was still active on a dating app, even while the two were married. That was yet another major bump in the romantic road, but Thompson (on air, at least) had been willing to try and overlook the obstacles and remained committing to his union. That said, there were very clear signs of tension. All of this is piling up, and now I’m sitting here not knowing who I just married,” Thompson said at one point. He added during another scene: “This entire marriage I feel like I’ve been completely honest with Mia, and I’ve told her to just give me the truth, and it seems like she’s gone out of her way to hide things from me. “I honestly don’t know what to feel or what to believe right now. I thought we were done with all the secrets and lies.” Like we said: it’s no surprise these two didn’t work out. We’re just taken aback that Mia is the one to have pulled the plug. But we guess Tristan just didn’t live up to the expectations she had in mind for a husband. “I feel like I lead a simple life,” she said in the past, explaining: “I do go to church every Sunday. “I am part of a Bible study group on Tuesdays. So that’s what I want is a man to lead me closer to Christ, or even a goal, us have a goal together, and he leads me towards those same motivational values that we have.” Oh well. It’s been nearly a week since rapper Mac Miller passed away after suffering a drug overdose at his San Fernando Valley home. Though authorities have yet to determine Miller’s cause of death , all signs seem to indicate that he finally succumbed to the substance abuse issues that had plagued him throughout his life. Small amounts of powdery white substances believed to be drugs in the opioid family were reportedly found in Miller’s home. And a 911 call seemed to indicate that panicked friends of Miller were had little doubt as to the cause of his condition. The fact that he was not alone at the time of his death combined with the revelation that Miller had been dead for several hours before authorities arrived led to rumors that there would be an investigation as a result of possible foul play. For now, however, it looks as though police are treating Miller’s death as a tragic accident. “This is strictly a Coroner’s Office case at this time,” Sgt. Barry Montgomery, a spokesman for the LAPD , told Radar Online. “As far as we are concerned, we are not investigating it as a criminal activity.” Officially, the cause of Miller’s death is labeled as “deferred” pending the results of a toxicology report. Fans have expressed shock over the fact that there will be no investigation, as early reports about Miller’s final hours seemed to indicate a chaotic scene. And for many, the length of time between when the rapper died and when his body was found suggested criminal negligence. Witnesses told police that a group consisting mostly of young men was “coming in and out all night” in the hours before Miller’s death, breaking bottles and engaging in other destructive acts. Sources claim several people left the home in a hurry just before police arrived. “They seemed in a rush to go,” claimed one onlooker. Sadly, many who knew Miller best were not surprised by his tragic passing. Miller’s substance abuse issues were a major factor in his recent breakup with Ariana Grande , and she was one of many who implored him to get sober. To say that this is troubling news is an understatement. The disgraced Matt Lauer trying to make good on his threat to return to television less than a year after being fired for egregious sexual misconduct. And worse, he is apparently trying to hire Today Show staff to sabotage the show that fired him! RadarOnline reports that Matt Lauer is working to poach Today Show employees . As he builds the staff for his new project, he is raiding the staff of his old stomping grounds. According to the tabloid’s informant, Lauer isn’t doing this purely because he wants familiar faces — he is allegedly driven by malice. “Matt would like nothing better than to wreak havoc on the people who fired him,” their insider reveals. One would think that he had done enough irreparable harm at NBC. Instead, it sounds like he’s just getting started. RadarOnline writes that the accused sexual predator has been “skulking around NBC’s Rockefeller Center studios.” This prowling has reportedly resulted in meetings with former NBC employees. At least one of these meetings is said to have been with Don Nash, who departed from the network in January — just a couple of months after Lauer’s firing. The source explains: “Matt knows luring talent from ‘Today’ would throw the show into chaos!” Some men, when caught, know that what they did was bad and are eager to quietly disappear. It sounds like Lauer doesn’t understand what he’s done — or doens’t care. Today Show ratings have been better without Lauer than they have been in years, but they’re still second place behind Good Morning America . And apparently Lauer aims to make life more difficult for Hoda Kotb. And he has his eye on someone he’d love to have by his side in his planned return to the spotlight: Katie Couric. “Matt is convinced that enough time has passed to put the scandal behind him and that viewers would come rushing back to him,” the source explains. The insider says that Lauer believes that this is possible “especially if he teamed with Katie!” Well … yikes. We mentioned that Lauer aims to twist the knife against Today Show, and part of that is his personal beef with Kotb. “Matt feels Hoda hung him out to dry when the scandal broke,” an insider reveals. The tabloid alleges that tensions are mounting between Savannah Guthrie and Kotb, and that Savannah hopes to have Kotb replaced. “Helping Savannah helps him get revenge on Hoda,” the source claims. “And cause further chaos at Today .” The insider issues a warning: “It would also clear the path for his return to ‘Today’ if his show doesn’t get off the ground!” What some might describe as Matt Lauer’s delusions, others might describe as something chillingly possible. After all, Louis C.K. tried to begin his “comeback” just weeks ago. The man made his female coworkers watch him masturbate and even admits that it happened, but figured that a few months off of the stage was enough to compensate for his crimes. But as much as people were outraged that he made a surprise stand-up appearance when the women he drove out of the comedy industry will never do stand-up again, others supported him. If Louis C.K. can get that kind of support after admitting to his offenses, people might flock to Lauer’s comeback despite everything that we now know. One wonders how many sponsors would be willing to support a comeback effort by a man so widely disgraced. The answer, however, probably lies in public outcry and viewership numbers. If no one lets their morbid curiosity get the better of them, then no one will watch and his comeback will tank. If everyone raises their voices together to condemn any and all potential advertisers, then the man accused of using NBC as his personal hunting ground for subordinate women won’t get a second chance. But maybe Lauer is right. Maybe if enough time passes, people will just remember the smiling talk show host and forget about the awful allegations against him. It’s a bit discouraging to see supermodels being brutally body-shamed (What hope do the rest of us have?!), but for a moment, we were ready to the world is in shambles and the internet is dominated by the angriest and most envious members of our society. But then, a ray of light shined through in the form of a horned-up male model. You may know Anwar Hadid as the brother of Bella and Gigi, or as the dude who’s been making no effort to hide his persistent Kendall-inspired boner in recent weeks. Not surprisingly, the president of the unofficial Kendall Jenner Fan Club was quite taken by his crush’s latest pics, and he’s reportedly been talking about them to anyone who cares to listen. “Anwar is drooling over the leaked Kendall nude pics,” a source close to the Hadids tells Hollywood Life. “He thinks she looks amazing and he wants her bad,” the insider continues. “Anwar has been crushing on Kendall for years, he thinks she is smart, successful and funny too.” Clearly unconcerned about the possibility of coming on too strong, Anwar didn’t stop there: “He can’t believe how beautiful and sexy she looks without any clothes on in the leaked pics,” the source claims. “Anwar can’t stop thinking about Kendall since seeing those pics.” Fortunately for Anwar, it seems there’s a good chance that his dream of dating 22-year-old model will soon become a reality. Nike initially hired 51-year-old, David Reicher of St. Louis, Missouri as a salesman and wholesale account executive to sell its products and accessories to retail chains located throughout the Midwest according to court documents. His job allowed him to give discounts to his customers on top the of the wholesale prices they purchased the merchandise at for their stores. As revealed in the court documents the price-cuts rarely were over twenty-percent, and that included his most prominent customers. Those rules didn’t apply to the two St.Louis companies he bought with his business partner, Fan-a-Mania and JJL Sport. Reichart managed to finesse the game by not disclosing to the sportswear giant that he owned the retail stores. He sold himself merchandise that was discounted nearly three times the rate of the discount he extended to the other customer accounts he managed. When it was all said and done, Reichart embezzled close to $770,000 worth of licensed Nike-brand products . Reichart is now probably wishing he just didn’t do it and has pleaded guilty to two counts of wire fraud. He was sentenced in a Portland, Oregon court to 13-months in jail on Tuesday.
