A new and very disturbing allegation has been leveled against music producer Dr. Luke. To be more accurate, the allegation itself is not new. But it has only just now been made public, and it has the music industry reeling in many different directions. Allow us to explain… The Blast has obtained legal documents that allege Kesha told Lady Gaga via text message in 2016 that Dr. Luke had raped both herself… and Katy Perry. The first accusation listed above has been documented several times in the past. Kesha claimed back in 2014 that Dr. Luke assaulted her and harassed her throughout their professional relationship and she has since filed a lawsuit against the infamous producer. On May 31, however, Luke’s attorney filed papers that include the following sections: On Feb. 26, 2016, [Kesha] sent a text message to Stefani Germanotta p/k/a Lady Gaga which repeated [Kesha’s] false claim that Gottwald had raped her. In this text message, [Kesha] also falsely asserted that Gottwald had also raped Kathryn Hudson p/k/a Katy Perry. Following this text message conversation, and with [Kesha’s] encouragement, Ms. Germanotta spread negative messages about Gottwald in the press and on social media. For example, in February 2016, Ms. Germanotta posted multiple articles discussing defendant defamatory statements on her Twitter page. To be clear, as mentioned above, it is Dr. Luke’s own attorney who included these text message excerpts in his court filing. He is claiming that Kesha has defamed his client and is denying her accusations about both her rape and the rape of Perry by Dr. Luke. We reported last August that Lady Gaga had agreed to submit unedited text exchanges she had with Kesha to the court in an attempt to assist Kesha with her lawsuit against Dr. Luke. In addition to co-producing Kesha’s breakout hits “TiK ToK” and “We R Who We R,” the producer also worked on a number of Perry singles, including “I Kissed a Girl,” “Teenage Dream” and “Roar.” There’s no debate here that he knows Perry well. But there’s obviously a very big difference between knowing her well and assaulting her in the manner Kesha has reportedly described to her friends. No one from Kesha, Lady Gaga or Katy Perry’s camps have commented on this story. In a New York Times feature published a year ago, Perry simply said “I had to leave the nest” when asked why she stopped working with Dr. Luke. Dr. Luke alleges he lost out on over $10 million that he would have made for working on various Perry’s albums… and thinks Kesha’s allegations damaged his reputation and led to his split from the American Idol judge. The documents published by The Blast also reveal that Perry has been deposed as part of Kesha’s lawsuit, but they do not give details to what was said. Luke, meanwhile, has strongly denied all allegations of assault and abuse by Kesha. He has countersued the singer for breach of contract and defamation. In February of 2016, Dr. Luke tweeted: “I didn’t rape Kesha and I have never had sex with her. Kesha and I were friends for many years and she was like my little sister.” Two years after he made this statement, Kesha stole the show at the 2018 Grammy Awards when she performed her empowerment anthem “Praying” in support of the Time’s Up movement with a choir comprised of Cyndi Lauper, Camila Cabello, Julia Michaels, Andra Day and Bebe Rexha. In December, Jax Taylor’s father died following a cancer battle . Cancer is the actual worst, folks. Months later, on his late father’s birthday, Jax has taken to social media to share his thoughts on his dearly departed dad. Jax was clearly able to be emotionally honest, because you can tell that he wrote this from the heart. Jax Taylor’s father, Ronald Cauchi, is gone but not forgotten by his son. On Tuesday, June 12, Jax posted a tribute to his father on Instagram. “Happy birthday to my angel in the sky,” Jax writes. “I love you so much dad and I miss you more and more each day.” Losing a loved one can get easier over time, but … not in just a few months. “Since you have left you have changed me in so many ways,” Jax writes. Recent stories about Jax have made it sound like he’s really thinking about what sort of person he wants to be. Jax then adds: “Thank you for being my father.” There is no good time to lose a loved one. “My new goal in life,” Jax announces. “Is to be exactly the man you are to your family.” He makes it clear that he is not the only one who thinks that his father was a good person. Jax continues: “Jenny and I are still getting messages from your friends on what an incredible man you are…” He adds elipses there at the end, showing that he is pausing to find the words. This is an emotional message. “I am so f–king proud to be your son dad,” Jax writes. That is so sweet. His father is going to miss on some major life milestones. “My only wish is that you could see me and Brittany on our wedding day,” Jax laments.”And meet your grandchildren.” Jax and Brittany Cartwright are actually engaged . Like we said, it seems like he’s really stepping up. Jax takes comfort in one thing: “But I know you will be with me in spirit and help guide me the rest of my life.” That is so heartwarming to read. “I love you dad…” Jax trails off again. Even in print, sometimes deep and powerful emotions can be difficult to express. “Until we see each other again, keep the fireball ready and the redwing game on.” Jax ends his post on a seemingly alarming note. “I’ll see you soon,” he writes. “Cheers pop.” Despite his phrasing, we absolutely do not believe that Jax is expressing the expectation that he will die any time soon. We think that he instead means that, in comparison to the vastness of eternity, the rest of his long and hopefully happy life will seem relatively short. This is a sweet and tender message and shows how sensitive Jax can be as a person. Not only was Jax’s father’s birthday this week, but Father’s Day is coming up right around the corner. You know that this holiday celebration is going to be emotionally challenging for Jax. Perhaps even surprisingly so. When you are grieving a loved one for that first year, sometimes you don’t always anticipate which days are going to have the strongest emotional impact. Father’s Day is not one of the subtle ones. Back in March, Tiffany Haddish told a story with a mysterious ending that left the internet scrambling in search of clues. In a typically candid and hilarious interview, the comedian revealed that she once saw another celebrity bite Beyonce on her face in the middle of an A-list event. Another week, another Bachelorette-based scandal. And we’re not talking this time about who Becca Kufrin kissed and/or who she sent home on the latest episode of this ABC hit. Instead, we’re talking about more scandalous behavior by one of the men vying for the heart of this season’s Bachelorette. Following the reveal that Garrett Yrigoyen had shared many gross and inappropriate Instagram messages not long before he was cast on Season 14, we can now report that Lincoln Adim was convicted of indecent assault and batter… … mere days before the new season premiered last month. The conviction took place on May 21, with the Suffolk County District Attorney’s office saying that Adim – who remains on the show through Episode 4 – groped and assaulted a woman in May of 2016 on board a cruise ship. He was ultimately given two years probation for these acts. Press Secretary Jake Wark of the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office has said the following to the media about what transpired with Lincoln in this case: “The judge ordered him to stay away from the victim and attend three Alcoholics Anonymous meetings per week during those two years. “If he complies with the judge’s orders, he will not have to serve out his term, but if he fails to comply with those orders or re-offends, he could be ordered to serve out the year behind bars.” So… a current suitor on the current season of The Bachelorette may face prison time for his inappropriate and illegal actions on board a cruise with a fellow passenger?!? This is NOT a good look for the series. Former Bachelor contestant Ashley Spivey wrote on Twitter Wednesday that she was disappointed in ABC and The Bachelor for permitting Adim on the program. “I am honestly horrified that Lincoln,who was charged with indecent assault and battery, was allowed to go on the show,” wrote Ashley, adding: “I do not understand how a serious crime like this was missed during background checks.” It’s a pretty good question, isn’t it? Spivey did later qualify her stance. She said that she doesn’t think ABC purposely let someone with this history on the series; she doesn’t think this was some ratings ploy. She just chalks it up to negligence instead. “Let me be clear that I do not think production would ever allow this for drama purposes,” added Spivery. “I really think it is a huge problem for whoever does the background checks into the contestants.” By law, the district attorney’s office adds of Lincoln, without providing exact details of what the reality star did, “he is expected to register as a sex offender.” Yikes . Last month, Yrigoyen apologized after garnering backlash for Liking offensive posts on social media that mocked the transgender community, a Parkland high school shooting survivor, undocumented immigrants and more. Kufrin came out and defended Garrett in the wake of this scandal. “I want viewers to be open to everyone, and I want them to go through this season with me and watch my love story unfold with all of these men,” she said a few weeks ago. “Because that’s how I went into this journey. It may be that Kylie Jenner is jealous of Ariana Grande’s engagement and impatient for Travis Scott to put a ring on it, but … that doesn’t mean that all is well for these two. In fact, a very disturbing report claims that Kylie is terrified that Travis is going to cheat on her while touring in Europe. That’s not the disturbing part, though. What’s alarming is that she is allegedly having him tailed by private detectives to watch his every move. It sounds like Kylie Jenner isn’t as peacefully content in her relationship as it appears. “She’s having Travis followed,” a source informs RadarOnline . This alleged private detective is supposed to be keeping tabs on her boyfriend and baby daddy at all times. The insider says that Kylie is taking this extraordinary step “because she’s not 100 percent certain he won’t cheat if given the chance.” Well, Travis is a rapper by trade. Like any performer, his entire career is basically one huge opportunity to cheat. (Not an excuse! Just an opportunity) But when Travis is touring in Europe? He’s likely to be surrounded by temptation at all times. Admittedly, this whole situation reminds us of some sort of noir film. It is all too easy to imagine a black-and-white scene of Kylie Jenner walking into some private eye’s office with a subtle veil descending from the brim of her hat. But the insider claims that this is no joke — that Kylie is genuinely concerned that Travis is going to give in to temptation. “She’s freaking,” the source explains. “Because he’ll be on the road and out of her sight.” Sometimes, absence makes the heart grow fonder. But in light of how Kylie’s sister Khloe was humiliated by Tristan Thompson’s cheating scandal , maybe Kylie isn’t willing to be made to look foolish. (Well, she doesn’t want to look more foolish than she does by dating a guy who did this at one of his shows, anyway) The insider explains that Kylie is paying a hefty price (literally) for keeping Travis under surveillance. “It’s really for peace of mind,” the source explains. “But the private eye doesn’t come cheap.” Of course. Private investigators cost money — especially when it potentially involves a lot of travel and following someone who has their own private security. The source explains: “It’s costing her thousands of dollars because she wants him tailed 24/7.” That’s much more expensive than just finding out if someone’s spouse really goes out with coworkers on Wednesdays, or whatever. The source then shares something that’s alarming — more so than Kylie’s suspicions. (Though, to be clear, this entire situation sounds unsettling and unhealthy) “Even when Travis is around,” the insider says. “She can’t resist peeking at his phone and checking to see who’s called him. And,” they add. “Reading his emails.” That intrusive behavior is disturbing and toxic. A lot of girlfriends and boyfriends feel entitled to look through their significant other’s texts and emails. If people want to opt for that level of transparency, that’s fine. But otherwise, it’s a gross invasion of privacy. Of course, you might say that having Travis followed isn’t much better. Honestly? We would love for this report to turn out to be wrong. Perhaps someone misunderstood a joke. (Hey, it happens!) First of all, we hope that Kylie is not a toxic person who invades her boyfriend’s privacy without a second thought. Second of all, we hope that Travis is not an absolute idiot, and that Kylie knows that he isn’t one. Kylie is hot, she’s the mother of his child, and she’s due to be worth about a billion dollars by the time that she’s old enough to rent a car. If they decide to break up at one point, that would be one thing. But cheating? Travis would basically be throwing away a life of absolute, unparalleled luxury — which he will never make as a rapper, no shade — just to get his dick wet. On Tuesday night, Farrah Abraham was arrested on battery and trespassing charges following an incident at the Beverly Hills Hotel. According to police reports and eyewitness accounts, it all started when a highly intoxicated Farrah began arguing with other guests at the hotel. A male employee of the hotel attempted to get Farrah to leave the premises and she responded by striking him. At that point, cops were called, and if you think she went quietly in order to avoid further damage to her reputation, then you don’t know Farrah. After telling the arresting officers to go f–k themselves , Farrah was taken into custody. She remained behind bars overnight and most of the next day, and we’re guessing staff at the county jail were very happy to see her released on $500 bail Wednesday afternoon. Most public figures would keep a low profile and allow the dust to settle after such a humiliating incident. But Farrah being Farrah, the former Teen Mom OG star was quick to vomit up some meaningless word salad that she probably thought was insightful commentary on the situation: Farrah Abraham Talks Arrest: I Was Targeted! “I was targeted, things were made up, It was fine,” Farrah said in a video recorded for TMZ. “I don’t know who called the cops, why people called the cops … I was focused on my friends and then someone was trying to be involved, another guest.” She added: “I don’t know if the guest was intoxicated [editor’s note: LOLOLOL]. I don’t know who he even is or what he looks like.” Then, as is her M.O. Farrah made a lame attempt to turn the whole thing into a feminist issue, saying: “I hope no other female finds herself in this position or situation, and I know it’s very hard being a public figure or ‘celebrity,’ if you will, but that is what happens when you are targeted.” Those closest to Farrah have also been sounding off on the situation. Her mother, Debra Danielsen, wept for Farrah’s 9-year-old daughter, who was in the hotel at the time of the incident. (It’s not believed that Sophia witnessed the incident, but still … not a great look.) And now, Farrah’s most recent ex, Simon Saran , is also offering his two cents: “Jail time will be good for her,” Saran told Hollywood Life on Wednesday. Farrah fired back in response to that remark in baffling fashion, saying: “I have no online profiles, I do not date at the moment and I do not have time for fake stories as these.” She added: “Exes should stop trying to make up derogatory things about a hard working woman who is focused solely on TV, movie projects, along with running three stores,” Reps for Farrah have issued multiple statements maintaining her innocence. “This situation has been blown out of proportion,” reads one such document issued last night. “Farrah has not been charged and was released this afternoon. A misunderstanding occurred and there was no battery or trespassing. Farrah is the hardest working individual I know and sets very high standards for herself.” To be fair, Farrah has not yet been charged — but prosecutors still have until the end of this week to make a decision on that matter. Resident Evil fans are salivating like the zombies that haunted the halls of the Spencer Mansion after getting the first glimpse of the remake of Resident Evil 2 . Now we got actual gameplay footage showing the 20-year-old reimagined classic in action. Oh, this game looks scary good. The developers revealed during the gameplay demo at PlayStation E3 booth that Resident Evil 2 isn’t just a remake, but it’s a whole new game they built off the foundation of the original. The game is a combination of the old and the new and will utilize Resident Evil 4’s over-the-shoulder style, but that’s where it stops. Unlike RE4, RE2 remake is not a full-on action game, bullets will be scarce, the zombies and other dangerous bio-organic weapons are a lot tougher to kill, health items few and far between which helps keep this game true to its survival horror roots. Based on what is shown in this gameplay demo, the game is indeed challenging as the developers themselves are struggling to survive from the moment they begin playing. Another big reveal was the fact this game runs on the same engine that powered the critically acclaimed Resident Evil VII . Those who remember playing the original RE2 would do themselves justice by forgetting whatever knowledge they may still have of the original’s layout while playing this new version. Everything is different, and the scares you remembered waiting for you in certain corners have now been placed somewhere else. Resident Evil 2 looks like a sure winner, and it is clear the developers took their time in crafting this game together to give fans the experience they so desperately wanted in the remake.
