She has an infatuation with science and at a young age would immerse herself in documentaries about nature. Before entering her teens, she already began studying advanced biology. Aware of her intelligence and accelerated learning pace, her parents decided that it would be best for her to start high school at the age of 10. Wilson, who was homeschooled, attended a private school founded by her father called Wilson Academy. Outside of her academics she was involved in several extracurricular activities; serving as the head of the rotary club and robotics team and playing soccer and running track. With the support of her loved ones and school community, she excelled in the classroom and beyond and received an acceptance letter from Spelman at the age of 13. Wilson—who is staying true to her love for STEM and plans on majoring in biology—is beyond excited to continue her academic journey at the Atlanta-based institution. She reportedly has wanted to go to Spelman since she was 8-years-old. “I am so excited to be in the sisterhood. So many women have reached out to me and have been very nice and supportive, and I am so excited to see what my life will be at Spelman,” she said in a statement. She told KTVU that she wants to come up with cures for human illnesses through the use of animal science. Her parents are beyond excited about her accomplishment. She graduated on May 18 as co-valedictorian of her high school class. The rapper’s issues with the Bucks have been a long time coming with their head coach, Mike Budenholzer, calling him out for his court-side behavior earlier this week. But beyond the small jabs from the NBA team toward Drizzy, one person in the organization decided to take things to a whole new level. Mallory Edens, the daughter of Milwaukee Bucks owner Wes Edens, wore a t-shirt with Pusha T on it to the Raptors game on Thursday. This was obviously a ploy to get a rise out of Drake, who had an extremely public feud against Pusha this time last year. Unsurprisingly, the Toronto native didn’t let this trolling faze him, and instead, he responded with some pretty calculated trolls of his own. Drake changed his IG profile picture to Mallory Edens and put her on his story. Caryn Chandler: Daughter and Troubled Son Make Little People, Big World Debut!

This week on Little People, Big World , Amy Roloff wasn’t sure how to react when her ex Matt started bonding with Chris Marek . But Matt also spent time bonding with Caryn Chandler’s young adult children in their first-ever appearance on reality television. It was heartwarming to see them appear on screen, especially considering Caryn’s son’s troubled history with the law. “I wanted to bring my kids to the farm to have lunch with Matt,” Caryn shared on Little People, Big World . Connor Chandler is 19. Brittany Chandler is 22. “As we continue to get closer and plan a future together,” Caryn expressed. “It’s really important to me for you to have relationship with them.” “And,” she continued. “I know they would like that as well.” She’s right — though they have already known Matt for a long time. Matt Roloff is happy to spend the time with them, too. “Back when Brittany and Connor were young,” Matt recalls. He continues: “they used to come and help out during pumpkin season.” “So her kids know my kids well,” Matt observes. “And,” he expresses. “I look forward for her family and my family getting closer.” Caryn herself took to Instagram to rave about her children making their Little People, Big World debut. “So what have you been up to?” Connor asked during the episode. “Getting ready for pumpkin season?” Brittany chimed in. “Mhmm,” Matt replied on camera. He was eating. “Has it been weird getting ready for it without her?” Brittany asked. Caryn stopped working on the family farm last spring. That’s sensible — she’s a girlfriend, not an employee. “Mhm,” Matt replied to Brittany’s question. “It’s interesting because I feel we took like a flip flop,” Brittany observed. She explained: “because she’s been working for what 10-12 years out on the farm, Monday through Friday.” “So now,” Brittany notes. “Connor and I get up every morning at 6 a.m.” “Yeah,” Connor agress. “I’m like ‘hey bye mom!'” “But it’s nice having you around more,” Brittany expressed. “I mean I notice the subtle changes.” “Like I come home and I’m like ‘oh how nice, she did our laundry today,'” Brittany says. “So I think she does get bored.” Connor has experienced some troubles as a teenager. In 2016 and in 2017, Connor was jailed for “theft in the first degree.” While he thankfully received probation, it went on longer than originally planned. He reportedly failed to appear for one of his court hearings, which caused the court to impose an extension upon his probation. The good news is that, last summer, Connor shared that he was now sober, having been addicted to drugs for years. Though the Chandler chidlren have known the Roloffs for over a decade, this was their first appearance on the show. The reason for this was Caryn’s contentious divorce from their father, Joseph Chandler, years ago. The divorce agreement included a stipulation that the kids never appear on Little People, BIg World . Weird, but whatever. Now that they’re adults, they can decide if they go on camera. Hayden Panettiere: Boyfriend Ordered to Remain 100 Feet Away From Actress

Earlier this month, we reported that Hayden Panettiere’s boyfriend, Brian Hickerson, had been arrested for domestic violence . At the time, it was unclear if Panettiere was involved in the incident, but this week’s developments seem to confirm that the actress was indeed victimized by Hickerson. According to Radar Online, Hickerson was in court today to face felony assault charges. To the chagrin of many, Panettiere has not broken up with Hickerson , and it does not appear that she has any plans to do so. However, it looks as though their relationship will soon undergo some major changes, as a Los Angeles judge has issued an order of protection requiring Hickerson to remain 100 feet away from Panettiere at all times. Hickerson is also forbidden to own any firearms, or contact Hayden via phone calls or emails, or possess firearms. Police were called to Hickerson and Panettiere’s home on May 2 when neighbors heard a female voice cry out in pain. In court on Thursday, prosecutors informed the judge that Hayden sustained injuries and bruises to her arms, ear, and neck. “He hit her on the face, causing her to get dizzy,” said an assistant DA this morning. The district attorney went on to claim that were indications of other, unreported domestic violence incidents over the course of the relationship. Hickerson pled not guilty and posted $500,000 bail. Court insiders say his case will likely go to trial early next month. Neither Hayden nor Brian has publicly commented on the incident, but the couple was spotted holding hands in Los Angeles on May 15, leading to the widespread assumption that they’re still together. Hickerson’s arrest follows closely on the heels of an incident in which he allegedly assaulted his father in Hayden’s presence. “I knew he had an incident with his father, and he has a tendency to do that [physical violence],” claimed Panettiere’s mom, Lesley Vogel. “Never had I thought it would be against Hayden or I would have addressed it sooner. I have addressed many things.” Even before Hickerson’s back-to-back arrests, Hayden’s family was reportedly dead set against her relationship. Many blame Panettiere’s heavy drinking on Hickerson’s hard-partying influence. Not long after the couple began dating, the 29-year-old actress was spotted vomiting in a Los Angeles street in midafternoon. Hayden is currently estranged from her daughter, allegedly as a result of her substance abuse. The 4-year-old currently lives with her father, boxer Wladimir Klitschko, in Ukraine. Jeannie Mai Details Sexual Abuse by a Family Member

Jeannie Mai has opened up about the most personal and difficult of topics. In footage from The Real co-host’s YouTube series, Hello Hunnay , Mai sits down alongside her mother and talks about the reason why the two didn’t talk for many years. While explaining this past rift in their relationship, Mai reveals she was sexually abused by a male family member starting at the age of 9. “We’ve talked before that we had a major falling out when I was about 16 until I was 24,” Mai says in the clip below, adding: “I’ve never actually talked about that incident with my mom since then. We’re talking for the first time about how that affected us.” From there, the 40-year old explains that this abuse began shortly after her second brother was born — and her mother was forced to take on a second job in order to help pay the bills. “We needed to find a babysitter, so we called upon a family member,” Mai says. “He came over every single day and stayed with me after school.” Mai never names her abuser. She simply says he was “16 or 17″ at the time he committed this actor and that she really looked up to him at the time. That is, of course, the following took place. “I just remember one day this person sitting very close to me, we were playing video games, and he started to touch my thigh,” Mai details in the chat with her mom below. Just truly awful stuff. Jeannie goes on to say she rationalized this experience by convincing herself that because he was a family member, it was okay. “I was also just stunned because I had never been intimately touched like that so I couldn’t tell if it was wrong, I just knew I was noticing it.” As the days progressed, however, Mai says the touching progressed into him taking off her clothes, exposing himself to her and instructing her on how to touch him. Like we said: just awful stuff. “I remember him pulling me into that shower and it was the first time I have a seen a grown man and what he looked like,” she says here. “I remember him telling me to touch him in certain ways.” Mai continues: “This happened every day for a few weeks, and then it turned into months and I remember one year going by. I didn’t say anything because I was afraid.” Around the age of 13, Mai finally told her mom what had been going on. She pleaded for a new babysitter. But her mother didn’t understand what her daughter was saying or refused to believe it — even years later when the abuse became even more “aggressive,” according to Mai … and she once again tried to speak to her parent about it. “I began to get angry because now I’m telling my mom that he’s taking off my clothes and you said, ‘I don’t believe you,’” she says. Her mother admits in this video that she was in denial about the relative. Jeannie Mai, The Real Host, Discusses Abusive Past “I felt by myself,” Mai explains, adding that she left home at the age of 16 and didn’t talk to her mom for nine years. “All I can say is I’m really sorry,” her mom says in response, telling Mai for the first time that she finally confronted the abuser many years later and he begged her not to turn him in to the police. “That right there is all I needed to know,” Mai says through tears. “That you believed me and you listened and that you would go and try and do something about it. “I just needed your support. I feel like you just set something free inside of me because you believed me.” Mai and her mom have repaired their relationship and the former concludes that she has shared her story in order to help or inspire others. “We hope that this can help you connect more with your mom, grow better and closer to your family and help your heal however you need to inside,” she says.

Amy Roloff Puts Chris Marek Troll Squarely in Her Place

Amy Roloff has had a tough go of it on social media these days. For whatever reason, an unfortunate number of users across this medium take issue with the Little People, Big World star on a frequent basis. Over what? Her indecision over what to do with her family’s farm, for starters. As TLC viewers have witnessed over the past several episodes, ex-husband Matt Roloff seems pretty anxious to sell the property and move on. But Amy is far less certain and is understandably taking her time with such a major life decision. At least we think it’s understandable; a bunch of critics out there think Amy sucks a whole lot for dragging her feet on this topic. Amy, however, typically remains above this sort of online scrum. She also never jumps in to fight with a troll or to express her displeasure with what some individual says about her. (Matt, to his credit, will do this on her behalf sometimes , though.) However, while Amy doesn’t feel a need to defend herself on Twitter or Instagram, she did recently swoop in to defend her very serious boyfriend, Chris Marek. Roloff and Marek have been together for two years and may get married someday . He seems like a very nice person who gets along not just with Amy and not even just with her children… but with her ex-husband as well. (On just this week’s episode of Little People, Big World — which you can watch below — Amy was taken aback by just how well Chris and Matt get along after the two agreed to go drive some tractors together.) And yet, despite Marek’s positive qualities, fans have often refused to accept him as a positive influence in Amy’s life. They think he’s creepy and is dating Amy for all the wrong reasons . On Tuesday, ahead of the latest Little People, Big World episode, Amy shared a selfie of herself and Marek, writing as a caption: “Tonight @tlc LPBW — Little People BIG World is on — I hope you’ll be watching/ “The big decision is almost here. I know a long time in the making but I do make one in the end and the other fun challenging life going ons with Zach Tori Jackson, Matt Caryn and Chris and I. Wow! “Can hardly believe just three episodes left in Season 14. Thank you all — you are the best.” Simple enough, right? And totally harmless? And yet, this promotional message inspired one follower to state that he/she doesn’t “like Chris.” Amy was prepared with a tremendous response, however: “Hmmm… but you’ve never met him,” she wrote in reply. BOOM! MIC DROP! What does one even say in return to such logic? I know I’ve never met him, but just seeing him act all kind and giving and supportive of you gives me a negative feeling? Sure, good luck with that one. We hate that total strangers say this sort of stuff online, but we love that Amy is able to rise above it, even clapping back in very respectful and straightforward fashion at times such as this. “I would definitely love to get married one day,” Amy, who was the wife of Matt for about 27 years, recently told Us Weekly, adding: “But it’s not something that I’m intentionally pursuing. If I say yes, then that means my whole heart, everything is into it. … I do think [marriage] is forever.” She concluded, clearly talking about Marek: “Relationships go through seasons. You are not the same person when you are 20 years old and when you become empty nesters or going through kids and all that. “Both of you are going through that stuff, so keeping the communication and sharing with each other, I think, is very important.” We wish these two love birds the very best of luck. Amy Schumer: Brutally Mom-Shamed For Returning to Work 2 Weeks After Giving Birth

Few figures in the comedy world are as divisive as Amy Schumer. Which is surprising, as it’s not like she got busted being super gross like Louis C.K . or gleefully recounted tales of filling her sister’s vadge with pebbles, like Lena Dunham. Schumer doesn’t shy away from politics, but she also doesn’t delight in shock value or any type of extremism. In fact, by 2019 standards, her comedy is pretty tame — so those who prematurely made up their minds to dislike her mostly focus on the events of her personal life. Schumer gave birth to her first child earlier this month, and while the response from her fans has been mostly congratulatory, a handful of trolls have been doing their best to spoil the fun. First, Schumer was attacked for her name selection (Sure, maybe Gene wouldn’t have been our first choice, but it’s not like she named the kid after one of the weirder books in the Bible .), and now she’s being subjected to old-fashioned, hateful mom-shaming. Like C.K. before her , Schumer made a surprise appearance at the Comedy Cellar in New York last night, but because she’s never forced anyone to watch her masturbate, the audience wasn’t revolted, and the new mom was greeted with a standing ovation. On social media, however, the reaction was quite different. “Already???? That’s insane!!! And inhumane. Contract or not you need to be allowed at least six weeks for maternity,” wrote one of Schumer’s followers. “Ugh why are you working so soon?!” a second commenter echoed. “Our bodies need time to rest and our babies crave us because all they have known is us,” added another, less troll-y Instagram user. “It’s the fourth trimester, I hope you don’t have to work anymore. Take this time to bond and heal and settle into this new avenue in life! You’ll have the rest of your life to work and this new time with your little one won’t happen again.” “Like, I can still smell your placenta,” another commenter joked (we hope). “Take a damn break FFS.” Thankfully, other followers were far more encouraging and helped to push back against the tidal wave of mom-shaming. “You can’t keep a good woman down!” wrote one supporter. “This just in: Woman gives birth, then within weeks leaves the house and stands up for 30 mins. surrounded by friends making people laugh. The horror. Call CPS,” another remarked. “Here comes the mom shaming … ughhhhhhhhhhh,” wrote Molly McNeary comedian and wife of Jimmy Kimmel. “I’ve always wanted to be mom-shamed!!!!!” Fortunately, Schumer came up in the rough-and-tumble world of New York standup, so we’re sure she’s accustomed to far more biting (not to mention clever) insults.
