Tori Roloff: This Pregnancy is SO Much Harder than Last Time!

Little People, Big World fans are over the moon that Tori Roloff is pregnant with baby #2 . Fans, so accustomed to following every detail of the family’s lives, asked Tori how this pregnancy compares to her last. The answer? In terms of symptoms, it’s not going so well, actually. Tori Roloff responded to a fan’s question on Instagram. Jackson isn’t a baby anymore — he’s a two-year-old toddler. But the memory of his pregnancy is still fresh. How is this new pregnancy going? Tori replies, revealing that this time, it’s “a lot harder.” “But,” she claims, it is ultimately “still easy.” That may sound a little odd, so Tori hastily adds: “If that makes sense.” Tori reveals that her first pregnancy was, as far as pregnancies go, like a dream. “I had no symptoms with J [Jackson],” Tori tells her fans and followers. Well, that’s not entirely true, she admits. She adds: “other than egg aversion.” Notably, eggs are high on the list of the most common pregnancy aversions out there — just a few spaces behind coffee. But Tori reveals: “I’ve got all the symptoms this time.” What does “all of the symptoms” mean, exactly? That could mean most or all of: nausea, vomiting, tender breasts, food aversions, fatigue, increased urination, heartburn, and constipation. None of that sounds like a lot of fun. Now, Tori is believed to only be in her first trimester at the moment, given her November due date. Her second trimester could bring even more symptoms, from messing with her skin to giving her dizzy spells. So … things may get worse before they get better. But even with what she’s already experiencing, Tori is extremely hyped. Another fan asked her how she responded when she got the news that Jackson is going to be a big brother. “I screamed and cried,” Tori revealed to her fans. She then makes an exciting promise: “I’ll share the video some time.” We would love to see that! Individual pregnancies vary because people are different, and that is even true for the same couple from one pregnancy to the next. See, the placenta attached itself to the uterine wall in order to leech nutrients from the host. But in addition to absorbing proteins and stripping calcium from bones and teeth to build a tiny skeleton, the placenta also releases hormones into the body. These hormones are the products of the embryo, and unless you’re giving birth to your first child’s clone, the second child will have different DNA. That means a genetic script to make different hormonal demands of the mother’s body. There’s also a simpler angle that can explain why pregnancies can vary. People age, grow, and change as years pass. Little People, Big World fans are obviously enthused to see Tori’s pregnancy journey. As is often the peril of following the exploits of a reality star, however, these fans may have to wait some time before they see everything. For every post on social media, other things will be held back — recorded on camera and played months after the fact. Fans still remember seeing Jackson’s 2017 birth. It will be a real treat for the world to get to know baby #2. View Slideshow: Tori Roloff Flaunts Stunning Beach Body, Post-Baby Weight Loss

Luke Parker: Just Who is This Bachelorette Villain?!?

They say that you never get a second chance to make a first impression. But might Hannah Brown soon be having second thoughts about the man to whom she gave her first impression rose ? Allow us to explain… On last Monday’s season premiere of The Bachelorette , Hannah Brown was quickly swept off her feet by Luke Parker, a 24-year old import/export manager who did not lack for confidence. He proudly displayed his shirtless torso during his introductory video, saying on air: “I think I’m a good looking guy. When I was in college, a lot of the girls around me thought so, too.” We’ve since learned that Parker graduated from Faulkner University, which is located in Montgomery, Alabama — which is the same state Brown excitedly calls home. So The Bachelorette and this aspiring husband have that important detail in common. (Roll Tide!) Parker, however, went on to explain on this opening episode how he had a revelation one day while taking a shower. He said that God spoke to him and basically told him to stop being a player and start looking to settle down. “I realized that I wasn’t the man I wanted to be and I’ve been working on the husband that I want to be for my future wife,” he explained on the premiere. This sounds quite promising and certainly paints Parker as a profound, religious individual… if you’re buying it. A number of viewers thought such a statement and such a claim was pure BS, however, as evidenced by their disdain for Parker on social media. “I know this type of guy; cute, says the right things, makes you fall fast, feels just right but then becomes extremely possessive when he really has you,” Tweeted one Luke Parker critic, adding: “Can see why he’s villain in this season.” At one point in an extended trailer for The Bachelorette (below), Parker also says he’s madly in love with Brown. Yes, this is the goal of the show, of course, but cynical fans think Luke is the type to just say anything to get in well with Hannah; by which we mean, get into her pants. “There’s no possible way he is falling in Love at this point. He’s proving he’s just a smooth talker. You have to watch for them. #run,” Tweeted a viewer in response to this footage. You can take a look here for yourself and judge Parker’s sincerity. Or lackthereof. Hannah Brown Confesses to Intercourse in Shocking Bachelorette Preview What else do we know about this front-running suitor? Luke went through a bad breakup about a year before he was on The Bachelorette, which is when his brother’s wife decided to sign im up for the program. “I was like…I’m going to apply Luke for the show and just see what happens,” she explained to the Gainesville Times. “[I was] thinking he had no chance of getting on the show.” Alas, he’s here now. And former Bachelor star Nick Viall is randomly pissed about it . The Bachelorette Trailer: Tears, Tension and Stripteases “The world’s full of the less fortunate and people in need, but no, [God] took the time to visit Luke P. in the shower because he was getting too much sex,” Viall said on a podcast last week, doubting the story outlined above. “I really f-cking hate him,” Viall added. “He’s a terrible human being.” Well… okay then! We know how Viall feels about Parker, but how will Brown feel about him? Will she choose him to be her husband? Check out the slideshow below to get a look at some major The Bachelorette spoilers ! Adultification Bias: Study Shows Black Girls Are Treated More Harshly Than White Peers Of The Same Age

Source: Vladimir Vladimirov / Getty Study Shows Adults Perceive Black Girls As Less Innocent Than White Girls Of The Same Age Kudos to Jamilia J. Blake and Rebecca Epstein, who recently released their findings in a study on behalf of the Georgetown Law Center on Poverty and Inequality which looked at adultification bias toward young black girls and women. The introduction to the study revealed how Blake and Epstein previously conducted research which resulted in the June 2017 release of Girlhood Interrupted: The Erasure of Black Girls’ Childhood, a report that presented the findings from their quantitative analysis of an form of gendered racial bias against Black girls: adultification – a stereotype in which adults view Black girls as less innocent and more adult-like than their white peers, devoid of any individualized context. The results of that study revealed that adults perceive Black girls as less innocent than white girls as young as 5-9 years old. The set of findings published last week took things a step further. Researchers conducted focus groups with Black women and girls across the country, in towns and cities of various sizes and in different geographic regions, speaking with a range of participants, between the ages of 12 and 60 years old. Many of those who participated shared personal stories revealing harmful consequences of adults misperceiving their age. “Almost all the black girls and women we talked to said they’d experienced adultification bias as children,” report co-author Jamilia Blake said in a statement. “And they overwhelmingly agreed that it led teachers and other adults to treat them more harshly and hold them to higher standards than white girls.” NEW research @GtownLawPovCntr finds that black girls routinely experience “adultification bias”—the perception of Black girls as less innocent. And if you tell us the real — your real age and real name, we wouldn’t have to be going through none of this’ ….” (Age group 13-17) Other examples of adultification bias concerned “attitude”: “[E]ven when you see just in general the word ‘attitude’ being applied … it’s usually not applied to white girls. It’s applied to Black girls.” (Age group 20‑29) “[A] Black girl, if she’s right, and she wants to argue about something, she’s always labelled as, like, angry. And especially when it came to teachers and stuff. I would see people like debating with teachers and they would always automatically get into trouble. Because like she has ‘attitude.’ [But] … she’s just like trying to prove that she’s right. And … you can just tell that [to teachers,] automatically, she’s, like, in the wrong, just because.” (Age group 17‑23) “[T]he teacher would say she felt threatened, you know, by me expressing myself in a classroom; like, I was, like, overpowering her when a — a outspoken white person would be [viewed as], ‘Oh,nthey’re intelligent;’ you know?” (Age group 20‑29) How many of these scenarios seem familiar to you? The findings also include participants personal stories of being hypersexualized by adults: “In … sixth grade, … the school nurse, like, ask[ed] my aunt if I was sexually active …. And I was, like, at the time, like, what? Like, what? Nobody has sex. Like, I didn’t know anyone that had sex. And it was so crazy to me. And then just thinking, like, she would never think to ask my [white] friend that.” (Age group 20‑29) The bias the participants described included overreaction and premature criminalization as well. Just consider this story, shared by one of the young women who was interviewed: “I remember even in elementary school I had to transfer to different schools, and the other school didn’t want to take me because I had assault and battery on my record, and the reason I had assault and battery was because … during a, um, a game [at recess], one of the balls, like, hit the girl in the face. Like, I had — I wasn’t [even] taken to the principal’s office …. But they just threw that on my record ….” (Age group 20‑29) Can you imagine? An assault and battery record because of a GAME?!? Just ridiculous. There are so many more personal stories we could share, you can read the entire report HERE.

Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor: What Does His Birth Certificate Reveal?

A-Ha! One mahor Royal Mystery has officially been solved. Almost two weeks removed from Meghan Markle and Prince Harry welcoming their first child into the world, Kensington Palace has made Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor’s birth certificate available to the public. Yes,  Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor . We may still need a little while to get used to that name. Regardless, however, the document that confirms he actually exists does list a couple of interesting tidbits on it. For starters, the little one was born at the private Portland Hospital in Westminster. The whereabouts of just where Meghan and Harry went for this blessed event was kept under wraps until now, with some outlets writing that Markle was even considering going WAY against Royal Tradition and going with a home birth. But she thought better of it in the end. As for what else the certificate tells us? One interesting note is that this paper lists Meghan’s official job title as “Princess of the United Kingdom.” (Harry’s is listed as “Prince of the United Kingdom.”) A former star on the USA Network legal drama Suits, Markle worked as an actress for many years. However, she was forced to give this line of work up when she fell in love with a Royal. Her official title is Duchess of Sussex, but now we know that her occupation is apparently that of “princess,” whatever that entails exactly. As also mentioned on this certificate, Archie Harrison was born on May 6 at 5:26 a.m., weighing 7 lbs. 3 oz. He is seventh in the line to the British throne, but his parents are determined to give him a normal childhood. As normal as possible under their circumstances, that is. Along those lines, however, they’ve moved away from Kensington Palace in favor of a home in the country, Frogmore Cottage; and they’ve opted not to give Archie a royal title . Naturally, and sadly, Markle has been criticized already for these decisions. Some Brits will simply hate her forever. But at least Harry loves his wife very much, along with the child they’ve created together through sexual intercourse. “As every father and parent would ever say, your baby is absolutely amazing, but this little thing is absolutely to die for, so I’m just over the moon,” the Prince said in his first remarks about Archie. “He has the sweetest temperament. He’s really calm,” Meghan later added. Meghan and Harry got married in St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle in May of 2018. They announced that they were expecting their first child five months after their nuptials. For an extended look at the precious little boy… here you go! Ashley Martson Blasts Jay Smith for Phony Mother’s Day Tribute: You’re Fake!

We've made our predictions for what will be revealed on the 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After? Season 4 Tell All special . That special has already been filmed, however, on Mother's Day weekend. Fans were surprised — some were even shocked — when Jay Smith posted a genuinely sweet tribute to his ex, Ashley Martson. Remember, she's the mother of two children. Now, Ashley tells In Touch Weekly that she doesn't really take Jay's post at face value. If he'd really meant it, she says, he would have done things differently. … 1. Things are tense Ashley and Jay are over, and it looks like Ashley would prefer that Jay keep her name out of his mouth — and off of his social media — for the time being. 2. On Sunday, Jay shocked fans by singing Ashley’s praises “You are a kind, generous and loving human being,” Jay’s surprising Mother’s Day tribute began. 3. Then he dialed things up a notch. Jay went on to call Ashley “a strong woman, and one that I am lucky to know and proud to love.” Notice that he said love, in the present tense. 4. It was all very sweet “Happy Mother’s Day, @ashleye_90,” he concluded the now-deleted Instagram post. 5. It looked like a charming olive branch A few weeks ago, Jay sounded a lot more defensive, insisting that he was not a “little boy” who would knock up a mistress, and suggesting that at least some of the reports of his cheating were blown out of proportion. 6. So was he trying to make nice? No. Well, maybe. If he really wanted to make peace with Ashley, he did it in the wrong way. View Slideshow

Luxury Brand Losers: The Goofies At Gucci Get Slammed For Selling $790 Sikh Style Tone Deaf Turbans

Source: Venturelli/WireImage / Getty Gucci Accused Of Religious/Cultural Appropriation For $790 Sikhi Style Turbans SMH. After all the blackface backlash , Gucci is getting groaned again — this time for selling $790 turbans that are similar in style to the dastaar (turban) worn by members of the Sikh faith. According to Washington Post , the brand originally drew ire from the Sikh community when the luxury designer had a white model walking the runway in a bright blue turban last year: It was styled nearly identically to the traditional headwear of Sikhs, who follow a faith with roots in South Asia, and outrage abounded. The Italian luxury brand was widely panned for not showing the look on “a brown model” and failing to grasp the turban’s significance. “As a Sikh, I see this as a huge sign of disrespect and disregard toward Sikhism,” one person tweeted at the time. Apparently that wasn’t enough to halt production because this week Gucci’s “Indy Full Turban” — described as a “gorgeously crafted turban” that is “ready to turn heads while keeping you in comfort as well as trademark style” — was being sold by Nordstrom for a reported price of $790. As of Wednesday evening, the item was listed as sold out on Nordstrom’s website and the price no longer appeared. The department store and Gucci did not respond to requests for comment from the Washington Post. Meanwhile there’s been a (well deserved, in our opinion) outcry from Sikhs and other critics over misappropriating an article of clothing that has religious significance and whose wearers have been attacked, discriminated against and even killed. The turban is not just an accessory to monetize; it's a religious article of faith that millions of Sikhs view as sacred. Many find this cultural appropriation inappropriate, since those wearing the turban just for fashion will not appreciate its deep religious significance. pic.twitter.com/fldmxa3Wvr — Sikh Coalition (@sikh_coalition) May 14, 2019 On Tuesday, the Sikh Coalition tweeted an image of the Nordstrom listing and criticized the treatment of the “sacred” headwear. “The turban is not just an accessory to monetize,” the group wrote, adding in a separate tweet that it had contacted Nordstrom and Gucci. It wrote: “Many find this cultural appropriation inappropriate, since those wearing the turban just for fashion will not appreciate its deep religious significance.” There’s much more to unpack with this particular item of clothing. Hit the flip for more tweets that explain why this was such a huge offense.
