Whitney Houston passed away in February, but fans will still get a chance to watch her on the big screen in August. That’s because the singer had just finished filming Sparkle when she died, a remake of a 1976 movie in which she plays the matriarch of a musical family. In various interviews since Houston left us, Jordin Sparks – who makes her Hollywood debut as Houston’s daughter – said “it was amazing to walk into work and then Whitney is sitting in her chair blasting gospel music and singing,” while producer Howard Rosenman added that the legend “is unbelievably brilliant in [the film].” The Today Show gave us our first look at Sparkle this morning. On February 26, 2012, 17-year-old Florida high school student Trayvon Martin was gunned down by a neighborhood watch volunteer named George Zimmerman. My name is Dani and November 26 2010 & June 23rd 2011 were officially the best days of my LIFE! I found out one day in November that Justin would be at Barnes and Noble on 11/26/10. You have to buy First Step 2 Forever and then you got to meet him and only a certain amount of people were aloud to get in! Knowing my mom would wait all night with me to get in because we have done it before to see him in concert at the today show and since she’s a belieber also i asked her! The day of the event Justin got there after being a little late and everyone started screaming! They called next and we walked to a curtain and stood next to it and Justin was right behind it, I really couldn’t breathe. I was officially next in line and I was shaking so badly, it was crazy. A bodyguard who worked for the store put her hand on my heart and realized how fast it was beating and was like, “You have to calm down and started laughing”, and then all of a sudden I heard someone behind the curtain scream NEXT! I ran as fast as I could to get to be next to Justin in the picture and I was! He quickly said hi and we took the picture. Everyone else in the picture just walked away as soon as the picture was taken and didn’t say anything and I just stayed there and I was speechless. Completely speechless. I just looked at him and smiled and couldn’t even move. I gave him the biggest hug I probably have ever gave someone and he hugged me back and smiled he said bye and i was like, I LOVE YOU SO MUCH. I promised my mom before that I wouldn’t cry but as I walked away from Justin, I became a mess. I honestly went ballistic. I wouldn’t stop crying for hours, honestly hours. I thought that was the best day of my life but I was wrong. I knew Justin would be at Letterman, The View, Today Show and a meet and greet at Macys for his new perfume Someday! I asked my mom to go and she said there was a lot going on that night but I can skip the last day of school and we will go into the city at about 9:00AM and just go to every place that he would be and see if there were anymore Macy’s meet and greets available. The women said actually, this is our last one! I was in complete shock. I was convinced I wouldn’t be able to meet Justin but now I knew the next day I would be able to. I started crying and my mom was like “You’re already crying!? You didn’t even meet him yet!” I was so thankful! Later that day we went to David Letterman to see Justin and we missed him by 5 minutes. We decided not to go The View and only go to Letterman and the Today Show. The next morning me and my mom woke up extremely early and went over to the Today Show (we slept in the city that night). I wasn’t far back in the line at all! Since it wasn’t a concert he was doing an interview and he did it outside. We got put around a big square and waited for Justin to come out! He came out and did a interview and started meeting every single person there! He came up to me and I took the picture and we both looked at each other and smiled really big to each other! He was holding a bottle of Someday and said, WANT A SPRAY!? In the cutest, sweetest voice and I’m like yes of course!! He looked at me and smiled! But everyone was kinda pushing him to come closer to them so he had to go and he went to the next person but i went to give him a hug but there was a barricade in between us so it was pretty hard so he kinda just took my arm and held it for a few seconds and we both just looked at each other and at my arm and smiled! I was in such shock i forgot to ask him to sign my phone case! While he was in the middle of meeting the person next to me I said, “JUSTIN I FORGOT, CAN YOU PLEASE SIGN MY PHONE CASE!?” and he was like sure and signed it! Once again, I went ballistic! Later that day we went to Macy’s to meet Justin once more that day! I waited on the line for a little bit and while I was waiting I saw Adam Braun and Scooter and said hi to both of them! After waiting on that line for a while it was finally my turn! They told my mom no cameras or recording anything so she couldnt record when I met Justin. I saw Kenny and some other members of Justin’s team right before I went up to meet him and said hi to them and they were so nice! FInally a security guard screams NEXT! I was next. I walk over to Justin and he was like, “Hii! How are you?” and I’m like, “I’m good what about you?”He said he’s fine! I then said “Justin how are from when you fell outside?” He smiled really wide and said, ”I’m really good actually, thanks so much!” We took the picture and I wrapped my arms around him and he wrapped his around me also! We talked a little bit more and kids, security guards, honestly everyone near us was screaming at me so badly because me and Justin were talking for so long while everyone had like 0.5 seconds with him. I walked off and I gave him another giant hug and he gave me one right back! We smiled at each other as we said bye to each other and then i said I LOVE YOU! My mom looks at me and goes, “That was honestly incredible, I can’t even explain how amazing and happy both of you looked” and she was smiling so big and was so happy for me! I started hysterically crying… again. I saw my picture and couldn’t even believe my eyes, right there, was me hugging Justin Bieber. If I could explain to anyone how amazing these 2 days were to me, I would go on for years and years. I now have my leather jacket that I wore when I met Justin for the first time sitting on one of my cardboard cutouts of him that NO ONE is aloud to touch. The shirt I wore when I met Justin at the Today Show and the meet and greet necklace you had to wear when you met him, my signed phone case by him and a Someday water bottle that they gave out at Macys all sitting in a Shadow box! My name’s Melissa. My Bieber Experience took place on November 23, 2011. As a lot of you know, that was the day of the Today Show in NYC. My friend Mikaela and I had fan passes (which allow you to be let in first) so we were so pumped that we’d be up close to Justin! We went to wait on line at 9 PM the day before ( in total it was 11 hours ) in the pouring rain, only to come to the leaders or whatever of the Today show letting in General Admission before us. We were ALL the way in the back and I couldn’t see anything so we left. Later on in the day, my friend got us an opportunity to meet Justin at a private meet & greet before the recording of the tree lighting. We rushed home, got ready and went to the meet & greet. We waited outside the garage of the place hoping maybe he’d stop and we’d get more than one picture with him, but he didn’t stop. It was still raining, so my hair got all wet and I didn’t look as great as I wanted to. Anyways, we went to the meet & greet with about 30 other people, maybe less and Justin looked FLAWLESS. We were last in line so we had to wait a little bit to get to meet him. It was my turn and I walked up to Justin. He said, “Hey!” and hugged me. I did the same back. Then I told him, “Your hair looks so good like this” and he was like, “Oh yeah? Is it the best it’s ever been?” and I was like “Yeah!” We took a hugging picture! My name is Maggie! In my life I have always read the MBE’s but yet I never had any confidence that I would ever have a story to write about. Well with the slogan, “Never Say Never.” I always never gave up on the dream. For my birthday, my mom and dad surprised me with bringing me to the Today Show to see Justin Bieber . I was so excited. I counted down the days until I went! When we got into New York my dad dropped my mom and I off in the line to sleep overnight for Justin. The line was already long but we got there around noon and sat there doing nothing. While waiting in line, my mom became really close to the lady next to us. I had already known that Justin was going to be on the David Letterman Show, but I didn’t know that you could go wait outside. Well the lady next to my mom had a daughter who we hung out with in line. She said that she would take us to wait outside the David Letterman when all of a sudden I turn my head and I saw SCOOTER BRAUN! I screamed so loud! I told him that it was my birthday and took a picture with him! He was so nice! He even signed my shoe, but he asked my mom first because he knew that Uggs were very expensive! Also he had a whole conversation with my dad! He even told me I had SWAG. After that, I waited in line at David Letterman for 6 hours while my mom held our spot in line. Well my mom called me and told me that Justin just drove past the Today Show line! She said everyone ran down to the car and she was by herself! As the car drove away, she waved. Whoever was driving, backed up the car and Justin reached his hand out the window and shook my moms hand! He said, “Hi! How are you?” and my mom just said “Oh hi Justin!” I started freaking out! He pulled up at the Letterman Show and I was standing right next to his car! He just waved and I freaked! I got a really good picture of him walking in! Since it was pouring rain, a lot of people left. We waited another hour for him to come outside. When he came outside, they made it fast and he just went right into his car. My name is Maria and never in a million years did I think I would EVER be writing one of these MBE. On November 23rd, my dreams came true. Justin performed on the Today Show that day. I can’t even begin to tell you how much seeing him in concert for the first time meant to me. I’ve waited almost 2 years to finally see him, and I really could not have asked for a better experience. I got to New York City at 10am, the day before and was in line by 11am. I almost died when I saw I was around 40th in line out of the 1,000 more people that would later show up! I met the mother that Justin tweeted about, who flew in from Virginia to be first in line! She was there almost 2 days before me waiting outside. For the next 23 hours I sat outside in the non-stop pouring rain, all to see Justin! The police wouldn’t let us use tents, so I had nothing but an umbrella and a tarp to lay under. But there was definitely some surprises along the way! At about 4pm, SCOOTER BRAUN, the reason Justin is such a huge part of my life, arrived. He walked up and down the line meeting all the fans. He was so relaxed and calm and seemed really thankful for all the fans. When it was my turn to meet him, I completely froze up. I didn’t know what to say! I started rambling about how much he means to mean and how thankful I am for him and Justin and how he changed my life so much. He replied “That’s so sweet. But you have no idea how much you guys have changed mine! Thank you for everything!” I died realizing I just talked to Scooter Braun! We got pictures and he signed stuff. When he was leaving, I tapped him on the shoulder and gave him a piece of paper with my Twitter on it and asked if he could please give it to Justin. He said, “Sure, don’t worry. I’ll make sure he gets it!”. Then I started crying, realizing there was a chance Justin would notice me. Scooter left and we all went back to camping out. About 4 hours later, my friends and I decided to go for a walk. A few minutes later, we heard LOUD screams. We started running toward them, only to find hundreds and hundreds of crying girls. We asked everyone what was happening and they said JUSTIN had just been there! We missed him! We all started crying, knowing we missed our only time to see him! We talked to all the girls who met him, and one of them even got a kiss from him! We got so depressed and I really didn’t understand how I missed my chance! 16 hours later, and it was FINALLY time to go in to see Justin. It was absolutely crazy going in, and a few people got trampled! At first, I didn’t really have that good of a view. But I didn’t care, I was seeing my idol, and that was all that mattered! All of a sudden, everyone started screaming. I looked up on stage and Justin was walking on for soundcheck! I really am not exaggerating when I say I almost passed out. He started warming up and singing little parts of songs. He was showing off so much, like doing tricks with the microphone. It was just unreal. He told everyone he couldn’t wait to perform and that he would see them soon and then he walked off. When the Today Show started it was just chaos. Justin was performing at the end of the show, so everyone got to watch the newscasters do the show. It was really cool being able to see them in person! Finally, it was Justin’s turn! Everyone literally went crazy! He performed Never Say Never and it was absolutely amazing. At this point, I was still toward the back, so I didn’t really get to see him that well and I only caught glimpses of him here and there. By the second song, I had managed to push my way all the way to the runway and I was literally leaning aganist the stage almost! Him and Usher (OMG) performed Chestnuts and that was also amazing. When Justin started singing Mistletoe, he came on the runway for the first time since I had gotten so close to the stage. I was literally 2 feet from him and I just started sobbing. He is so perfect in person I didn’t even know what to do with myself. I know everyone says that, but he is absolutely flawless in person. During the last song, he came out on the runway for a while and touched all the fans hands. He missed mine, but he touched the girl next to me and I was really happy for her because she literally was like dead on the ground, it was so cute. When the concert was over, I cried for a while and then realized Justin was probably leaving the building! We sprinted to the front doors and waited and waited and waited. Police kept telling us to keep moving and that everyone already left, but we refused to believe them! Lucky for us a few minutes later, Scooter, Carin, and Kenny came out! They said thank you to all the fans for coming out and that they hope to see everyone soon! Everyone kept asking if Justin was coming, and they said no, so things cleared out pretty fast! After that day, I slept for one day straight, considering I only got like 20 minutes of sleep camping out. However, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I know I didn’t meet Justin that day for a reason, and someday it will be my turn. Seeing Justin in person is something I never thought would happen to me, and it really did prove to me that anything is possible! The good news for Michael Lohan? He managed to NOT get arrested last night. The bad news? He was rushed to the hospital with heart problems and will undergo surgery today. Lohan reportedly complained of chest pains while residing in a Florida treatment and, following a blood pressure reading of 200/110, was immediately taken to the hospital. Doctors found a blood clot in one of Lindsay’s awful father’s lungs and will insert a stent into his heart this afternoon. Lohan also had surgery in February to fix an artery blockage.
