The beloved gay rights supporter stepped out to meet fans St. Peter's Square in Rome on Wednesday, stopping at one point to say hello to a man and a young girl. The little girl was named Estella Westrick, she was three years old, she was in attendance with her godfather… and she stole The Pope's hat upon meeting him! She gave it back quickly, we should note, but not before the surrounding crowd let out a loud and awkward laugh. Would The Pope be angry? Would the man get in trouble? Would the toddler get kicked out of the area? HA! Of course not! This is Pope Francis! He took the incident in awesome stride! “Right before she went up she was a little nervous. Then she stole his hat. It was hilarious. Everyone was laughing, including the Pope,” Mountain Butorac told CNN, adding: “It's her first full day in Rome. From the time he famously declared that George W. Bush “doesn’t care about black people” during a live telecast, Kanye West has never shied away from the political arena. But that doesn’t mean Yeezy’s stuck with a single party or ideology over the years. Far from it. In fact, Kanye’s politics have been as unpredictable as his personal life, and he’s frequently stunned fans with unexpected displays of loyalty – such as when he visited Donald Trump at his eponymous tower during his controversial transition process. It wasn’t terribly shocking that these two would be able to find common ground. After all, in future dictionaries we’ll probably see their photos flaking the word “egomaniac.” It was surprising, however, that Kanye would be willing to publicly endorse such a controversial political figure, particularly when so much of Trump’s agenda seems to run counter to Kanye’s beliefs. The move was especially unexpected considering Kanye’s wife, Kim Kardashian, was a staunch supporter of Hillary Clinton during the 2016 presidential election. There was some serious blowback from the visit, and it often felt that Kanye was the only one who didn’t see that coming. The rapper seemed taken aback by the response from fans, and he made a half-hearted attempt at damage control on Twitter: “I feel it is important to have a direct line of communication with our future President if we truly want change,” Kanye tweeted. “These issues include bullying, supporting teachers, modernizing curriculums, and violence in Chicago.” Fans weren’t having it, and now that Trump has started pursuing the destructive policies that everyone who was paying attention saw coming, it seems Kanye has finally realized this isn’t a reality show. West has deleted all of his Trump-related tweets, and it’s widely believed that he either took issue with the president’s controversial Muslim ban , or bowed to pressure from his more left-leaning in-laws. Many have called attention to the fact that Kanye’s move comes shortly after a surprisingly woke Kim spoke out against the ban with tweets like the one above. We can only hope someone in Kanye’s life rewarded him with some leather sweatpants or a $5,000 threadbare sweatshirt for finally realizing that Trump is like Bush with the bigotry turned up to 11. Nicole Ramsey was clearly taught that honesty is the best policy. As a result, the Arizona mother of two has gone viral with a brutally honest, totally hysterical and very much relatable story that she shared late last month on Facebook. The lengthy message was posted on January 31 on the Breastfeeding Mama Talk Facebook page. It included a photo of her master bathroom’s shower tiles (below… this will make sense momentarily) and it centered on a recent time in which Nicole and her husband tried to recapture some of their past romance. The first section of the post was titled “PARENTHOOD” and read as follows: Constantly being touched and climbed on by my toddler and non stop nursing from my baby…. When is there time for us? Lol! Trying to squeeze in OUR time has proved to be a challenge… Parent life… Real struggle…. True best friends. It’s worth noting here that Nicole is the mother of a two-year old named McKenzie and a five-month old named McKayla. She then moved on to a section titled “SEX” and this is where the brutal honesty comes in. Omg! I am not sure when the last time we actually had sex when the kids were up?! We (I) fed the family, washed the kids, brushed their teeth, put jammies on them and tucked the kiddos in bed early , Nicole explained, adding in detail: I ran to the bedroom turned off Blippi and turned on romantic music. Found the lighter from my 2year olds birthday party and got the dust covered candles lit. I attempted to be sexy ignoring my postpartum naked body society frowns upon. I know he loves every inch of me . So far, so good… right? Go on, Nicole… We get into the warm shower that is quickly loosing heat because my kids took most of the hot water. Kissing passionately in our shower we seem to hear phantom cries of our children about every 30 seconds. Trying to catch our footing we hear a loud SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEK . HA! You can see where this is going, can’t you? I start cursing the toy dolphin under my breath. As we are desperate to keep the mood going we realize the alphabet toys below us…. We are surrounded…. Finally we both crack up and the sexual mood disappears , Nicole wrote. We get back to best friend mode, laughing so hard we are barley able to catch our breath. We decided to snap a goofy picture to remember parenting is a crazy ride. And here is that pic. Not exactly the most seductive setting, it’s true. Is this a case of someone going all TMI via Facebook? Of sharing Too Much Information? Or would you classify it as TMLI, which translates to Too Much Like I because you and your spouse have most definitely experienced something similar? Nicole understands both sides. “Some of you will think… ‘omg why would you post something so private,'” she wrote to conclude her post, adding: “I am a transparent person and I try to find the humor in being a parent. I believe if you can’t truly enjoy your kids and laugh you will never survive being a parent. So here is to the exhausted moms and dads out there trying to be parents every minute of the day attempting to get some together time. “Lol! Maybe in the future our sex life will change. But until then, I am praying neither of us step on a Lego.” Seriously, right? That would hurt! Britney Spears is working her magic to help do some good for her home state of Louisiana. The 34-year-old singing sensation is helping to raise funds for the victims of the massive floods that have devastated the state. Britney is using her upcoming performance at the MTV Video Music Awards as a way to to raise money. One of the prizes up for grabs is two roundtrip tickets to New York and two tickets to the award show. The award show airs on Sunday August 28, 2016. Spears will also be giving the lucky winner the chance to meet her before the show kicks off in Madison Square Garden. If you don’t win that prize, you could be in with a chance of winning the outfit Spears wears to the awards show, as well as an autographed copy of her latest album. Two-year-old Lane Graves was filling up his bucket with water for a sand castle when he was attacked at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort’s beach. Now, in an official investigation conducted by The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission and the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, two witness accounts change almost everything about what happened on the night of June 14th. Shawna Giacomini of North Carolina said that she was at the same beach at 8:15 p.m. with her two daughters, about 15 minutes before the attack “The daughters saw an alligator about 5 feet from shore, near the marsh,” according to the report. “The eldest daughter told the WDW AV/Movie Coordinator about the alligator. The person she told ran to a man whose shirt said ‘Coordinator’ and told him about the alligator. “The Giacomini’s went to the store and when they returned, the attack had already occurred.” Another guest, Afred Smith sent an email to the investigators on June 15th. He recalled seeing (then taking a photo of) an alligator from his balcony at the Grand Floridian just before 7:45 p.m. Smith wrote that he pointed the alligator out to an Disney employee, and just before the attack occurred , he saw children wading ankle deep in the lagoon while a screening of Zootopia was being shown on the beach. Just as he was going out to warn everyone on the beach, Smith said he heard Graves’ mother “scream.” The Graves family had stated back in June that they were not looking to sue Walt Disney World over what happened. However, these new accounts of possible neglect on resort employee’s part could change everything. “Melissa and I are broken,” Matt and his wife said said in a statement after the toddler’s body was found. “We will solely be focused on the future health of our family and will not be pursuing a lawsuit against Disney.” Matt Graves tried to wrestle his son’s body out of the alligator’s jaws, but the animal was able to swim away with its victim. Lane’s body was found the next day under 6-7 feet of water by police officers.

We're not saying that a caring, compassionate person can't also take an interest in the less consequential or more entertaining news items of the day. But we are saying that when a powerful image that makes the distantly political intensely personal, it's important to take notice. Omran Daqneesh is a five-year-old boy living in war-torn Syria. A photo of his stunned, bloodied face following an air strike in his native Aleppo has gone viral today. Like Alan Kurdi, the toddler who drowned in the Mediterranean Sea while fleeing Syria with his family last year, Omran has become a potent reminder of the immense human toll of modern warfare. For some, the photo is a vivid illustration of the urgency of resolving the Syrian refugee crisis in a fashion that will save as many civilian lives as possible. For others, it's simply confirmation that unimaginable horrors befall the world's most innocent humans on a daily basis. Regardless of one's personal politics, it's impossible to not be affected by the photo of Omran. The images and video of Omran show him moments after he was pulled from the rubble of a building that was decimated in an attack orchestrated by either Russia or the government of Syria. It's unclear if the boy has any surviving family members. Many of the images of Omran were shared with the international media via the Syrian American Medical Society. Alanis Morissette shared some happy news today. The singer and her husband Mario “Souleye” Treadway are now the proud parents of a baby girl! Morissette made the announcement on Twitter with a photo of her new daughter. “She’s here! onyx solace morissette-treadway June 23 2016,” she tweeted, adding, “#beyondblessed.” Indeed, little Onyx looks like a gem. This is the second child for the couple, who welcomed their first child, son Ever Imre , in December of 2010. Morissette and rapper Treadway tied the knot earlier in 2010 at a private ceremony at their home in Los Angeles. “So happy to share with you that my man, Souleye, and I got married,” she wrote on Facebook. “We’re very excited to embark on this journey with each other.” Back in 2012, when Ever was 17 months old, the Canadian crooner stirred up some controversy involving her child. In an interview with Good Morning America , she revealed that she might continue to breastfeed her son until he’s six . “I’ll stop whenever he wants,” she said in support of breastfeeding moms everywhere. “I know some children who have weaned naturally at two years, some kids wean naturally a couple of years later; I mean, it’s up to every child,” she explained. Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick may have had a rocky relationship over the years, but they sure did produce some cute kids. Just look at this adorable pic of their daughter Penelope, who turns four years old today. I mean, what a sweetie. Kourtney shared the pic to Instagram today with a sweet message for the toddler, who probably can’t read yet but whatevs. “Happy birthday to my little mermaid!” Kourt wrote. “Seeing the magic in the world through your eyes makes me so happy.” As for Scott, well, he posted a photo of a big white bed plus a couple of selfies today. Awesome. Kourtney shared a second photo of herself and P, both sporting bikinis while out on a boat in the middle of the ocean somewhere. The mom of three is vacationing on a tropical island with friends, and while she has not specified where, the pics are most envy-inducing. Grandma Kris Jenner also wished the tyke a happy birthday on Instagram, sharing a photo of Penelope looking as fashionable as her mom, rocking a top knot, John Lennon sunnies and a crop top. “Happy birthday to our little princess, my sweet angel girl Penelope!!!!” wrote Kris. “You bring so much joy to our lives and I love you more than words could ever say!! #sweetgirl #happybirthdaypenelope #myheart” Last month, InTouch reported that Kourtney was pregnant with her fourth child by Scott and suggested that the new bun might bring the former couple back together. We’re really hoping it’s not true, but it’s Kourtney and Scott, so anything is possible.
