If you’re a fan of the acclaimed Bravo cooking competition Top Chef , then you may have already heard the tragic news that beloved former contestant Fatima Ali has been diagnosed with terminal cancer . Ali revealed her diagnosis Tuesday in a heartbreaking essay published by Bon Appetit. “My oncologist has told me that I have a year to live, with or without the new chemotherapy regimen,” Ali wrote. “I was looking forward to being 30, flirty, and thriving. Guess I have to step it up on the flirting. I have no time to lose.” “I am desperate to overload my senses in the coming months, making reservations at the world’s best restaurants, reaching out to past lovers and friends, and smothering my family, giving them the time that I so selfishly guarded before.” Displaying the trademark wit that made her a fan favorite during her time on the show, Ali added: “I was looking forward to being 30, flirty and thriving. Guess I have to step it up on the flirting. I have no time to lose.” In the hours after Chef Fatima’s article was published, thousands offered words of gratitude and support on social media, including her Top Chef co-stars: “This is my friend, she is courage, strength and she wrote a piece almost as beautiful as she is, link is in my bio please read and share #teamfati,” wrote Top Chef Season 15 champion Joe Flamm. “Can’t even begin to say how devastated I am to hear this news, it really hit me hard! Life is too short and it’s time we all appreciated everyone and everything in our lives.” Just days before she revealed that her illness had reached the terminal stage, Ali posted the above video of her co-stars wishing her well from an event in Connecticut that she had been unable to attend. We hope Fatima finds comfort in knowing that she will receive such love and support in her final days — and joy in knowing that she’s been an inspiration to so many.
Eminem has made it abundantly clear that he’s not a big fan of our current president. (And seriously, how heartbreaking is it that we still have to refer to Donald Trump as “our current president”?) He slammed Trump in a song he released in 2015 , and in another he released in 2015 , but his harshest criticism came in October when he shared a little freestyle at the BET Hip Hop Awards. He touched on the controversy surrounding the professional athletes that have chosen to kneel during the national anthem before games as a form of protest and Trump’s ridiculous reaction to them. “Now, if you’re a black athlete, you’re a spoiled little brat for trying to use your platform or your stature to try to give those a voice who don’t have one,” he rapped. “He gets an enormous reaction when he attacks the NFL, so we focus on that instead of talking Puerto Rico or gun reform for Nevada. All these horrible tragedies and he’s bored and would rather cause a Twitterstorm with the Packers.” Then, to his massive fan base, he stated “Any fan of mine who’s a supporter of his, I’m drawing a line in the sane. You’re either for or against, and if you can’t decide who you like more and you’re split on who you stand beside, I’ll do it for you with this.” He then flipped off the camera, making it clear that he’s not interested in sharing fans with Trump. Eminem Utterly Destroys Donald Trump in This Freestyle Rap It was all pretty intense, right? But it looks like he was saving even more vitriol for his new album. Eminem released the album, titled Revival, yesterday, and he dedicated an entire song to Trump. The song is called “Like Home,” and it features vocals by Alicia Keys. He kicked off the very first verse with “Someone get this Aryan a sheet, time to bury him, so tell him to prepare to get impeached. Everybody on your feet.”‘ “This chump barely even sleeps, all he does is watch Fox News like a parrot and repeats while he looks like a canary with a beak.” “Why you think he banned transgenders from the military with a tweet?” he asked. “He’s trying to divide us. The sh-t’s like a cult, but like Johnny he’ll only unite us. ‘Cause nothing inside drives us like this fight does.” He admitted that “our spirits’ crushed” and it’s “hard to deal” with things right now, “but there’s always tomorrow still.” “If we start from the scratch like a scab, get the scars to heal and band together for Charlottesville, and for Heather [Heyer, the woman killed in Charlottesville], fallen heroes.” In the second verse though, he really went in on Trump: Didn’t wanna piss your base off, did ya? / Can’t denounce the Klan, ’cause they play golf with ya You stay on Twitter, way to get your hate off / Nazi, I do not see a way y’all differ And all you got are race cards / Better get the swastika with your name carved in it / Should be your trademark, ’cause hate’s all you played off / And you just lick the plate off So I guess it pays to feed off of chaos / So basically, you’re Adolf Hitler / But you ain’t ruining our country, punk / Or taking our pride from us, you won’t define us ‘Cause like a dictionary, things are looking up / So much, got a sprained beck, know we would rise up against this train wreck and take a stand In the bridge, Alicia Keys sings “I won’t give up on my home, that so many died for, you already know that I won’t give up.” It’s actually pretty emotional. It’s also not the only time he mentions a Trump on the album — on a track called “Frame,” he gets a little less realistic and a lot, lot darker. The song is all about murder and just awful, violent crimes — the point is that just because he says terrible things in his songs doesn’t mean he actually does them. It really is pretty dark. In the second verse, he raps “Woke up, it was dawn, musta knew something was wrong. Think I’m becoming a monster ’cause of the drugs that I’m on. Donald Duck’s on as the Tonka Trunk in the yard.” “But dog, how the f-ck is Ivanka Trump in the trunk of my car? Gotta get to the bottom of it to try to solve it. Must go above and beyond, ’cause it’s incumbent upon me, ’cause I feel somewhat responsible for the dumb little blonde.” So yes, it seems pretty safe to say that he has a whole, whole lot of anger for this entire family. Farrah Abraham is currently on one hell of a downward spiral. Really, it’s hard to tell when the spiral started, since being a mess is kind of Farrah’s whole deal, but things have been way, way worse lately. In addition to her trademark word salad and her unwillingness to be civil to any other human being ever, she’s been embracing her porn star side again lately in a mighty big way. She’s been getting laser treatments done on her vagina and documenting those treatments for us all to see, which has been … well, it’s not been all that great. In a big ol’ rant on Instagram, Farrah accused MTV of exploiting her and her daughter, Sophia, on the show, but said they “let me go because as a Business Mogul I act like an adult and take part in adult promotions and activities that other adults do for FREE or in private!” She claims that when they fired her, they told her that her “brands press out shines the Teen mom Viacom press,” which means something to her, we’re sure. “Sad such a phenomenal show will no longer have its biggest talent on the show because of women hating, sex shaming, hate crimes, selfish, Weinstein company power trip behaviors against a professional hard working, honest mother,” she wrote. Farrah also said that she’s “proud of myself not giving in to be sex shamed by Viacom network,” which is interesting. That part sort of makes it sound like she was issued an ultimatum: do Teen Mom or do the cam girl stuff, but not both. If that’s true, then there’s a small chance she didn’t actually get fired, since she didn’t really do anything but rant on last night’s live stream. Seriously, she didn’t do anything — the company is having to refund viewers who, for whatever reason, paid to see Farrah masturbate. Back in her rant, Farrah wrote “Cheers to basically winning against hurtful disgusting executives who do way more in their personal lives then what I could ever be judged for.” “I will never be broken by hateful wrong people and if everyone else is brain washed, on drugs, pills, scheming thinking their at the top of their power trips I WISH to always be apart.” She announced that “I give this chapter of my life to GOD & all of his glory & to justice in court. If God’s for you who dare be against you.” Sound logic. Based on everything that Farrah has said about what happened yesterday, she’s pretty clear: MTV fired her because of the live streams and the sex toys and all of her various ties to the adult industry. But according to a new report from The Ashley’s Reality Roundup, that’s not exactly the whole story . It’s part of the story, of course — a source says that “Basically, they could explain away the first time” she did porn, “when she did her ‘Backdoor’ tape because it was made and released while the show was on hiatus.” “They brought her back on for OG because they could explain away that young people make mistakes sometimes, but now that she is back in the adult industry again, they can’t use that excuse anymore.” “Another factor,” however, “is that an overwhelmingly large portion of the viewing audience simply does not like Farrah, and not just because of the adult stuff.” “They are not losing one of the more popular girls.” Ain’t that the truth? Farrah is, without a doubt, the most hated of any of the moms. We saw Amber Portwood beat her boyfriend on the show, and we saw Jenelle Evans high on heroin, but nobody inspires hatred quite like Farrah . The hatred isn’t limited to fans either, if you can believe it. “She creates a miserable filming experience for everyone involved on her crew,” another source says. “Several former crew members have actually refused to film with Farrah, so it’s just not worth the drama and backlash for everyone involved with the show anymore.” As strange as it sounds, it just might be true. Naomi Watts and Liev Schreiber are officially over! After 11-years together, the stars have confirmed that their relationship has concluded . The couple were never married, but spending 11 years of your life with someone is a LONG time. Schreiber once referred to Watts in the media as his wife in attempt to play a prank. A joint statement confirmed the news of the split and we can hardly contain our emotions. “Over the past few months we’ve come to the conclusion that the best way forward for us as a family is to separate as a couple,” Schreiber and Watts said in a joint statement. “It is with great love, respect, and friendship in our hearts that we look forward to raising our children together and exploring this new phase of our relationship.” “While we appreciate your curiosity and support, we ask the press to be mindful of our children and respect their right to privacy,” the statement continued. It sure sounds like things are ending amicably. Right? It should be interesting to hear what really transpired before they called it quits. There will no doubt be a lot of rumors about why it really ended. It was mere months ago that two appeared loved up at the 88th Academy Awards Ceremony. It’s crazy how things can change so quickly. That was the same awards ceremony in which Liev proved he was the best dad in the world by taking his son as his date.
