Katy Perry may not be my favorite pop star/hottie (that honor obviously goes to Miley Cyrus), but credit where credit’s due: she always seems to be busting out of something. This time, she’s showing off some of her trademark cleavage getting into a car in some back alley. I don’t know where she’s headed in these shots, but here’s hoping for a bumpy ride, and video footage from the paps. Fingers crossed. Photos: PacificCoastNews , WENN.com , Fameflynet
Lady Gaga has been on the receiving end of multiple lawsuits, but this time, she is taking it to a clothing designer who has been making “Gagajeans.” Designer Philip Scott‘s “sexitized easy access jeans” feature a horizontal zipper across the crotch area … totally not trying to utilize Gaga’s name. “When you see someone real fine-looking wearing them,” he promises on his website, “your mind can only go one place and that is to the zipper.” Scott recently filed a trademark request to market the pants as “Gagajeans,” but was quickly slammed by a letter from the Lady’s attorneys on October 1. Attorneys for the singer, who released her ARTPOP album cover Monday, wrote: “It has come to our client’s attention that you have filed an application to register the mark GAGAJEANS and are using the GAGAJEANS mark in connection with the jeans.” “In particular, you have misappropriated the dominant feature of our client’s mark, GAGA, and merely added the generic term ‘jeans.’ “Your use and registration of the GAGAJEANS mark is likely to cause confusion, mistake, and deception of consumers that Lady Gaga is affiliated with [the product].” According to Gaga’s attorneys, Smith also commented on Lady Gaga videos attempting to direct fans to his website, gagajeans.co (which has since been taken down). As such, they demand that Scott abandon his trademark request, deactivate his website, cease and desist making the jeans, destroy any prototypes and more. “If we do not hear from you by October 10,” the attorneys write, “we will assume that you have no desire to resolve this amicably and we will proceed accordingly without any further notice to you.” But Smith insists he did nothing wrong: “Gaga is a word that has many meanings … But none of those meanings are of a rich female singer who uses her wealth and power and position to harass, bully and slander in order to get her way.” “Actually, I guess that could be the meaning of ‘Lady Gaga!’” Well played there. He goes on: “All I know is that I applied for the trademark Gagajeans and when they did the trademark search it showed that no one was using it and that I could apply for it.” “I have never in any comments or actions tried to fool anyone into believing Lady Gaga is in any way connected to or associated with Gagajeans.” “Lady Gaga just wants to trademark the name ‘Gaga’ and has not or cannot,” he claims. “This is not my fault. If she had trademarked the name ‘Gaga,’ then I would not have applied for the name Gagajeans for my trademark.” “I will not cancel my application for the Gagajeans trademark. If the application is denied by the trademark office (which is likely), I will not use it.” “But until then, take a chill pill and wait for the trademark office to do their job!”
You can’t wig out on Tyra . Tyra Banks Sues Wig Companies According to TMZ You can’t go slapping Tyra Banks’ name willy nilly on wigs — not without her slapping back with a massive lawsuit for 10 million dollars … TMZ has learned. Tyra just filed a lawsuit against 10 companies that make wigs … and in the suit she claims they’re all biting her “name, photograph, image, and identity” — as well as her trademarks. We don’t know squat about wigs … but did some quick research and discovered several of the companies do have Tyra’s photos and Tyra inspired wigs on their websites. A few examples: The Yaky straight[Tyra-Banks style] wig, the Tyra Banks custom lace wig #046, and our fave — the Tyra Banks inspired human hair wig. We’re guessing it’s not actually TB’s hair you’re buying … although it does cost $300! Tyra’s lawsuit spells out just how valuable her trademark and how big a star she is — and to prove it her IMDB profile … all 11 pages of it … are attached to the suit as Exhibit A. To be fair, the suit does acknowledge Tyra is a “former supermodel.” TB is suing for an injunction to stop the sale of the infringing products — and at least $10 million in damages. There is always someone out there trying to make a quick dime.
Another Tumblr pic for the Bey stans. Beyonce Shares Photo On Tumblr According to US Magazine She may not have the trademark diva locks or be decked out in tall platform heels just yet, but there’s no mistaking the face of the future Mrs. Carter. Beyonce posted an adorable childhood snapshot of herself on her Tumblr recently, proving that she’s always been a tiny star in the making. In the precious photo, a young Beyonce stands against a wall for what is presumably a school performance, in a gold lame one-shoulder costume, gold turban and large beaded earrings. The little girl in the photo looks to be about seven or eight years old. It’s a seemingly reflective moment for the busy superstar, who is currently in the middle of her Mrs. Carter World Tour. The “Love on Top” singer, 31, has been regularly posting a number of snapshots from her adventures, ranging from sights on the streets to dramatic photos from her performances. Through it all, however, Beyonce’s priority is still her 18-month-old daughter with husband Jay Z, 43. “In the back of my mind, she’s my priority,” she told ABC News in May. “Life is completely different now. So I’m — I feel really, really just lucky that I can still do what I love and now have a way bigger meaning. And that’s to be her mother.” Jay Z couldn’t agree more. In fact, the Magna Carter Holy Grail rapper revealed to Hot 97′s Angie Martinez earlier this month, he wouldn’t mind having a few more little ones in the house. “Absolutely, God willing,” he replied when Martinez asked whether he would want more children, joking that he would ideally like “a little basketball team” worth of children. “The world would be a better place,” he said with a chuckle. King Bey just wanted to show ya’ll she has always been Sasha Fierce. Tumblr
Amanda should be glad anybody wants to take a pic of her fugly azz. Amanda Bynes Lunges At Man What needs to happen is somebody needs to slap this hoe’s phucked up weave right off her head. Beyotch you’re not relevant anymore. According to The NY Post Amanda Bynes lunged at a man she believed took a picture of her in the lobby of Atlantic City casino Revel. Continuing her bizarre streak over the weekend, the former Nickelodeon child star chased Bobby Cohen around the lobby of the casino on Friday, demanding he hand over his iPhone. Bobby, 56, a recruitment expert from Long Island, was there celebrating Father’s Day weekend with his son Brett when they randomly bumped into the actress wearing her trademark platinum wig and huge black sunglasses. Brett, 22, a TV producer and comedian from Long Beach, said, “She ran into the lobby alone looking totally frazzled with a load of shopping bags and a bag to carry a dog. She tried to get into the elevator, but then came out again, so my dad thought he’d try and take a picture. “Amanda saw him and lunged at Dad trying to grab the phone, saying, ‘Sir, you can’t take a picture of me, give me the phone.’ She kept saying it over and over again until she was screaming. “My dad tried to walk away slowly, but she started following him, chasing him around the lobby, saying, ‘I need to see your phone now,’ she wanted to grab his phone and delete the picture. Finally, security stepped in and we managed to get away from her. “Amanda seemed pretty freaked out and flustered. What she didn’t know was that Dad didn’t even get a picture of her, he missed and took a picture of the floor.” The frazzled starlet was also spotted at Revel on Saturday night playing the slot machines accompanied by a white dog and wearing a dress with the security tags still attached. She continued with her bizarre tweets: “If you’re not hot, I don’t care about you.” And even more puzzling, “You get turned on, but what you are not by what you’re not.” Meanwhile, she reportedly claims her bizarre behavior is all an act. “All this has been an act and you know it!” Bynes allegedly texted a friend. “I am an actress, and know what I am doing . . . I got to 2 million followers, and now everyone wants me,” Bynes added. “I am smart and not stupid. Everyone mentions my name. The world loves me!” Ever since Amanda had some of that Kid Cudi peen, she has never been the same. We feel bad for her. Watching her is like watching a baby cry for attention. Get it together.
Two and a Half Men and The Big Bang Theory creator / former Charlie Sheen nemesis Chuck Lorre has been bashing ABC’s The Bachelor for some reason. Naturally, the popular reality franchise is responding in kind. Inspired by unknown factors, Lorre called the dating show “idiotic” on one of his trademark vanity cards after a recent episode of The Big Bang Theory . Which is a little like Nadya Suleman calling someone irresponsible or Kim Kardashian labeling another wannabe star a shameless fame whore, or … you get the idea. This led Bachelor producer Elan Gale to tweet: “Someone has been freebasing crushed up copies of Dharma & Greg DVDs … Two and a Half Men. Zero salient points.” Host Chris Harrison retweeted Gale’s response, while Bachelor producer Robert Mills noted: “It’s ironic that Chuck Lorre decides to bash #Bachelor and one of his stars Kaley Cuoco is a card carrying member of #Bachelornation” Indeed. On an unrelated note: Kaley Cuoco bikini photos are unreal. Whose side are you on? Team Bachelor or Team Chuck?
The Carters have been defeated. Jay-Z and Beyoncé have lost the fight to stop an event planning company in Boston (and anyone else) from using their daughter’s name. Veronica Alexandra has been running Blue Ivy Events since 2009, prompting the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office to send a letter to the power couple, denying their petition… Continue
‘It’s not really something I would write, so I’m excited to get my own stuff out there,’ he tells MTV News. By Kara Warner, with reporting by Kelly Marino Phillip Phillips on the “American Idol” finale red carpet Photo: Alberto E. Rodriguez/Getty Images As has been his M.O. throughout this 11th season of “American Idol,” Phillip Phillips wowed the crowd and the judges with his show-stopping final performance of would-be single “Home.” MTV News was lucky enough to chat with Phillips on the red carpet leading up to the big finale Wednesday (May 23), where he revealed a few details about how he wound up choosing the rootsy ballad. “It wasn’t really too much of a process,” Phillips admitted with his trademark “aw, shucks” smile. “I got to hear it once and they said, ‘Would you like to do it?’ ” Obviously, Phillips did want to do that song, a smart decision that led to the evening’s only standing ovation from the judges. However, if the Georgia native had to do it all over again, without the strict time constraints they work under on “Idol,” Phillips said he would have preferred to have performed his own original song. “I wanted to do my own stuff, but we only had a certain amount of time to do everything, so I had to do that one, and it’s a really good song,” he said. “The writers are really good. It’s not really something I would write, so I’m excited to get my own stuff out there.” We’re sure Phillips’ adoring fans are excited to listen to his “stuff” as well. In the meantime they can watch and re-watch the sweet-tempered 21-year-old’s final performance, complete with a marching band, to hold them over.
