SARA SAMPAIO is Victoria’s Secret ethnic weapon of choice now that Adriana Lima has seen better years and is the in the tail end of her career, thanks to her tail end being having exploded multiple babies out of it, like a good little catholic…and what better way to make the fans and the customers of Victoria’s Secret have a seamless ethnic cleanse, but not in the traditional sense of Ethnic cleansing but more in a middle America “look at that brown one, she’s got hot tits” kinda way… I don’t know much, but I know she’s posing in a bikini and that may be all I need to know.
Kanye West has seemingly revealed the release date for his next album. Or maybe the due date for Kim Kardashian . Or possibly even his wedding date. But it’s safe to assume Kanye’s mysterious Twitter account is referring to his next professional milestone, as the rapper has deleted everything on it except for one message that reads: June Eighteen. That date does fall on a Tuesday, the traditional release day for new albums. It’s also rather unlikely that Kim would walk down the aisle when she’s nearly nine months pregnant. The tabloids won’t shell out top dollar for those images! But all we can say for sure is this: Kanye’s album will NOT be titled ” I Am God .” Unfortunately.
An Indiana man who allegedly threatened to “kill as many people as he could” at an elementary school near his home has been arrested – and 47 guns were found at his home. Forty-seven. Von Meyer, 60, of Cedar Lake, Ind., was arrested on criminal charges of felony intimidation, domestic battery and resisting law enforcement on Saturday. Cedar Lake Police officers were called to Meyer’s home early Friday after he allegedly threatened to set his wife on fire once she fell asleep, the statement said. He was being held as of Sunday afternoon without bond at the Lake County Jail, pending an initial hearing on the charges, police said in a statement. Meyer also threatened to enter nearby Jane Ball Elementary School “and kill as many people as he could before police could stop him,” the statement said. Meyer’s home is less than 1,000 feet from the school and linked to it by trails and paths through a wooded area, police said, making the threat even more disturbing. Police notified officials and boosted security at all area schools Friday, the same day 26 people, including 20 students, were killed in a Connecticut school shooting . On Saturday, officers served warrants at Meyer’s home and arrested him. The statement said police had learned that Meyer kept many weapons. They weren’t kidding. Officers searched the home, finding 47 guns and ammunition worth more than $100,000 hidden throughout the home. Many of the weapons were collector’s guns.
Pope Benedict XVI can expect some pissed off Tweets this week. The head of the Roman Catholic Church said this week that gay marriage poses a threat to “justice and peace.” He also called same-sex marriage “unnatural.” The 85-year-old Pontiff kicked off the Christmas season on Friday afternoon with the traditional lighting of the tree in Vatican City’s St. Peter’s Square. There, he released the Pope’s message for World Day of Peace 2013. In his annual address, he that same-sex marriage is “against human nature.” According to reports, he said the following: “There is… a need to acknowledge and promote the natural structure of marriage as the union of a man and a woman in the face of attempts to make it juridically equivalent to radically different types of union.” “Such attempts actually harm and help to destabilize marriage, obscuring its specific nature and its indispensable role in society.” “These principles are not truths of faith, nor are they simply a corollary of the right to religious freedom. They are inscribed in human nature itself, accessible to reason and thus common to all humanity.” The Pope went on to suggest that support of gay marriage “constitutes an offense against the truth of the human person, with serious harm to justice and peace.” Pope Benedict XVI said abortion is also a threat to peace. This is not the first time that Pope Benedict has vocally opposed same-sex marriage, having derided the idea as “insidious and dangerous” earlier this year. Previously, he had called same-sex unions “a threat to humanity.” Do you support the right of gay couples to marry? Support Oppose View Poll »
Middle-earth may have some perils of the stomach variety if Kiwi viewers are an indication of things to come. Early screenings of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey in New Zealand have left some movie-goers feeling nauseous. The latest anticipated epic from Peter Jackson had its world premiere Down Under last week and has already begun attracting audiences to the film that was shot using high-speed 3-D technology. Some have complained that the high frame rate, which screens at 48 frames per second compared to the traditional 24 frames per second, has resulted in dizziness, nausea and even migraines for some fans, according to The New Zealand Herald . [ ‘The Hobbit’ At 48 FPS: A High Frame Rate Fiasco? ] Director Peter Jackson trumpeted the sped up frame rate at the premiere for bringing “enhanced clarity and smoothness.” “You have to hold your stomach down and let your eyes pop at first to adjust,” tweeted one N.Z. fan. Jackson received mixed reaction when he teased footage of the Hobbit at Comic-Con last Summer though it met with some complaints that it looked “too real.” “48 frames absolutely helps 3D because suddenly you’re removing a substantial amount of the motion blur that you get at 24 . Your eyes get a much smoother experience,” Jackson wrote on the Directors Guild of America website earlier this fall. “Frame rate is a very similar thing to CinemaScope. It’s a choice. It opens up another toolbox for filmmakers.” [ ‘The Hobbit’ 3-D Early Review: Back Again, But Not Quite There ] This certainly won’t be the first time a movie has caused audience squeamishness and discomfort. Avatar and Breaking Dawn caused some fans to complain of sickness and they certainly did not result in lower box office totals. Even more dramatic, the New York Film Festival debut of Quentin Tarantino’s Pulp Fiction back in 1994 famously caused one audience member to pass out (though it was rumored he had suffered a heart attack – later proven untrue) which caused an interruption in the screening until paramedics arrived to help. Then the screening continued. [ Sources: ABC News , New Zealand Herald ] Read more on The Hobbit and Peter Jackson’s 48 FPS . Follow Brian Brooks on Twitter . Follow Movieline on Twitter .
In Casino Royale , Daniel Craig made a memorable impression as the sexy 007, wearing a snug swimming suit. But Craig had to work it to attain that physique and it’s not something he maintains between James Bond stints. But he didn’t have a hard time getting back to top-notch form. Speaking with a bit of tongue-in-cheek at a Skyfall press day over the weekend in New York, Craig told Access Hollywood. “It’s just quite a ball, quite frankly. I mean, [I’ve] just got to do it.” Craig said a doctor told him that his routine was the same as playing a football [soccer] match every day with little rest. “You’re playing Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and then taking Sunday off.’ Normally, football players would come Saturday or Sunday and take three days off at least,” Daniel said. “So I was sort of constantly sort of bashed up. So keeping in shape — it was just so I moved — at all.” In Skyfall , Craig switches a swim suit for a simple towel in one scene, and said producers gave him the heads up so he could get ready for his close-up. “I kind of have to work towards that. Luckily, we kind of plan those out beforehand, so I can kind of work to make sure I’m kind of in as good of shape as I can be for those scenes,” he noted. Aside from physical prowess, Craig gave his views on Bond who he sees as a spy in the traditional sense. In the latest version of the James Bond series, the character, Q, makes a return, played by Ben Whishaw. “What I love [about the film is] the story sort of brings in this idea of sort of the old world and the new world of espionage, and the government officials in the movies were talking about cutting corners and saying, ‘Well, we’ll send in drones and we can spy on people with satellites. We don’t actually need to have people in the field.’ Bond’s obviously opposed to that,” said Craig. “He thinks you’ve got to be there, you’ve got experience it, you’ve got to look people in the eye. So, with bringing Q back in, who’s sort of that new school and Bond, who’s of the old school – that clash – hopefully it’s going to be a quite exciting journey to go on with those two.” Skyfall opens in the U.S. beginning November 8th. The marketing campaign for The Dark Knight Rises has certainly been a fascinating one, as it’s seemingly broken all the traditional rules—first, the trailers were ambiguous and revealed very little (imagine that—a modern trailer that doesn’t spoil the film); second, the theatrical poster was, well, crap; third, the TV spots, normally 30 second bits of Broadcasting platform : YouTube Source : ScreenCrave.com Discovery Date : 29/05/2012 05:09 Number of articles : 2
‘When we have a day off, she always likes me to explore something fun with her,’ sister Angela Hudson says of Katy in upcoming film. By James Dinh Katy Perry in the trailer for “Part Of Me” Photo: Imagine Entertainment ‘s 3-D docu-concert “Part of Me” will showcase the darker side of the pop darling’s roller-coaster ride to fame, including her divorce from Russell Brand. Still, there will be tons of fun thrown in the mix. In between scenes from her 2011 worldwide California Dreams trek, the July 5 film will also feature footage of the singer’s family, including a water-park outing with her sister. In an almost minute-long teaser clip from the film, Katy’s older sister, Angela Hudson, talks about how she grew up promising to work with Katy “when she made it big.” In between takes of the duo in choir and backstage at concert halls, Angela explains, “My sister, not only does she work hard on tour, but she likes to play hard on tour. “Anytime we go to a city when we have a day off, she always likes me to explore something fun with her,” she continues . With her hit “Firework” serving as appropriate background music, KatyCats catch a glimpse of the Perry sisters basking in the adventures of a water park. But what would any amusement park be without a little action-ride anxiety? Asked how she’s feeling before going on a bungee-jumping ride, the pop star responds, “I feel great. I’m really, really excited about my sister, who is scared of heights.” Unfortunately, Angela doesn’t appear to enjoy the ride as much as Katy thought she would, as the older sis offers cameras a frown. MTV News recently caught up with Perry at the Pepsi Fleet Week “Part of Me” Concert, where the patriotically-dressed songstress told us about how deep the film will take fans. “It’s the most intimate I’ve ever been. I mean that in a non-sexual way … I mean it in a vulnerable way,” she explained. “And so I’m not scared of it because I think it’s important for me, and important these days, for people to not think people in my position are perfect and that if they want to achieve this type of dream or achieve a goal that they have to be flawless. They don’t.” What do you think of the new “Part of Me” clip? Share your opinion in the comment section! Related Videos MTV First: Katy Perry’s ‘Part Of Me’ Related Artists Katy Perry
LP’s new album — due June 26 — sees them looking back, while still pushing the envelope forward. By James Montgomery Linkin Park’s LIVING THINGS Photo: Machine Shop Recordings/Warner Bros As if the drastic left turn they took with 2010’s A Thousand Suns wasn’t proof enough, it should be fairly obvious at this point that Linkin Park have grown tired of doing things the traditional way. Rather, they’re determined to blaze their own trail, which, given their standing as one of the hugest rock acts on the planet, is a certainly admirable — if not slightly questionable — way of operating. And though the follow-up to the willfully dissonant Suns — LIVING THINGS (due June 26) — isn’t quite as obtuse, it still finds the band experimenting with vastly different soundscapes, lyrical themes and recording techniques, simultaneously honing their focus and expanding their horizons. It is the rare record that both pays homage to the past while bolding looking forward, and needless to say, it’s a head-spinning listen from start to finish. Though, as Linkin Park told MTV News during the premiere of their new “BURN IT DOWN” video, they prefer to think of it as just the next step. “It’s just really different [from anything we’ve done before],” Mike Shinoda said. “I feel like we made a serious effort to try and touch all of the bases of all of the different things that we’ve done, and bring them together in each song. Not just one album, but each song. And then maybe sprinkle in some stuff that we’ve never done before, too.” That’s evident in first single “BURN,” which recalls both LP’s nu-metal past and their current experimental present … or in standout tracks like “CASTLE OF GLASS” or “UNTIL IT BREAKS,” sonic rattlers born out of the band’s less-than-traditional methods of recording, and all the better because of it. “Our writing process is a weird, amorphous thing. For some bands, just to put it in perspective, they jam, and then they write a song and then they record a song and then they mix it and finish it … we don’t do that,” Shinoda laughed. “We do everything at once, every step of the way. From the moment we’re putting things down on the laptop, I’m already kind of mixing it a little bit [and] sometimes those things end up being songs, like ‘CASTLE OF GLASS,’ [where] my vocal performance in the first part of that song, pretty much almost everything you hear in the beginning of the song was the very first demo. Like, that went from nothing there, to those things, and then the song got built. “Some songs we’ll come up with demos, and they won’t ever turn into anything … we’ll hear them, and we’ll now they’re not ever going to be a great song on their own,” he continued. “But there may be a section of it, a little glimmer of cool something in it, and the song ‘Until It Breaks’ is built from just those. There were like four demos that we had made that weren’t going anywhere individually, but when you put them all together, they make something really interesting. It’s supposed to feel really jarring and weird, and for me it was a really fun song to make.” So yes, while LIVING THINGS does represent a return to the band’s thundering past, it is also very much a snapshot of the band in 2012, still at the peak of their powers, still melding seemingly disparate sounds and influences, and pushing the envelope whenever possible. By whatever means necessary. “Just because you see Brad [Delson] playing a guitar on stage, doesn’t mean he just writes guitar on the album. A lot of times, especially on this record, more often than not, he wasn’t playing guitar,” Shinoda said. “But regardless of who played what, in our band, that’s not important. It’s more about everybody’s got a voice, and everybody’s got an influence on the song, and if one guy’s not really happy with something, then we try to address it.” Related Videos MTV First: Linkin Park Related Artists Linkin Park
Per LaDonna Harris, president and founder of Americans for Indian Opportunity (ahem): “‘Johnny is reprising the historic role of Tonto, and it seemed like a natural fit to officially welcome him into our Comanche family. I reached out, and Johnny was very receptive to the idea. He seemed proud to receive the invitation, and we were honored that he so enthusiastically agreed. Welcoming Johnny into the family in the traditional way was so fitting,’ Harris said. ‘He’s a very thoughtful human being, and throughout his life and career, he has exhibited traits that are aligned with the values and worldview that Indigenous peoples share.'” [ Indian Country TMN via THR ]
