Chief Keef Celebrates Rapper’s Death Chicago is just a mess right now . Kids are getting gunned down left and right and there doesn’t seem to be any hope in sight. To make matters worse, even the young rappers are seemingly hopeless. Sixteen-year-old Chief Keef has had some beef with a rapper named Lil Jojo. After Jojo shot a diss record and a video confronting Keef’s homie, Jojo ended up gunned down. Sadly, Keef and his buddies reacted with gloating tweets about the teen’s death. The good folks at Complex dug up some info on the whole situation which is pretty hard to look at. This is all very sad to see. Take a look at the tweets and see how the tragedy unfolded. Jesus take the wheel indeed .
Here she is, Miss… well, Teen USA! Logan West, a 17-year old from Southington, Connecticut took home this honor on Saturday night, defeating 15 other finalists from across the nation in a ceremony held in the Bahamas. The first Teen USA pageant winner in that state’s history, West defeated runner-up Miss Michigan Courtney Pizzimenti for the title. Perhaps sealing Logan’s fortunate fate? Her response to the question of what has been her greatest accomplishment in life. The impressive response? When West was 14, she started a program to combat bullying in school. Way to go, Logan! And congratulations to all the finalists!
The movie theater inside which James Holmes took the lives of 12 people last Friday is offering to pay for the funerals of those lost in the massacre. As first reported by TMZ, several services were held this week, including one for a 32-year old mother of two named Rebecca Wingo. And insiders say the owners of Cinemark called the chapel where her funeral was being held and made it clear it would cover the expenses for Wingo and also all other victims of the tragedy. Rebecca’s mother actually turned down the offer, sources confirm, but only because the Victims Advocate Fund has already paid for everyone’s main funeral expenses. Our thoughts and prayers continue to go out to all those affected by this terrible incident.

Not long after William Balfour was found guilty of murdering her mother, brother and nephew, Jennifer Hudson released an email statement regarding the tragedy as a whole. “We have felt the love and support from people all over the world, and we’re very grateful,” Hudson and sister Julia said, extending a prayer “from the Hudson family to the Balfour family” because “we have all suffered a terrible loss in this tragedy.” Quoting Scripture, the Hudson sisters concluded: “And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled in them that perish: in whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of the unbelieving, that the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should not dawn upon them (2 Corinthians 4:3-4). It is our prayer that the Lord will forgive Mr. Balfour of these heinous acts and bring his heart into repentance someday.” Balfour faces life in prison, and his attorney plans to appeal her client’s multiple convictions next month.
Jennifer Lopez may have flashed a nipple while presenting at the Oscars. But, in the latest issue of V , the singer/dancer/actress/ American Idol judge makes sure not to expose any other private parts: she’s donning a protective cup over her crotch. Why? Lopez tells the magazine she “thought it was more graphic,” while going on to explain how boxing is a parallel to her life: “I’ve always felt like a tough girl from the Bronx, but I have a soft core,” Lopez says. “I can take a lot of punches and still keep going. I’ve been trained like a boxer to go 15 rounds.” And she’s certainly been through a lot recently, of course, as Jennifer’s divorce from Marc Anthony made headlines for weeks. “We’re parents and friends first. That will be the thread that ties us together,” she tells the publication of her ex. “I don’t know if people expect it to be negative just because the relationship didn’t work out.” Lopez has been married three times now and has also seen a couple albums and movies go bust. But she tries to take each failure in stride. “You’re not going to hit the target or the bull’s-eye every time. That’s part of it. At the end of the day, I made those choices. I’ve been in the business now, I don’t want to say how many years. You have amazing moments of recognition and success. But at this point in my life, I try to take it all with a grain of salt.”
Police are looking to speak with rapper Rick Ross after a man was shot to death in front of his Miami Gardens home this morning, according to TMZ. Ross was not present at the time of the shooting. At this point in the investigation, he’s not considered a suspect. Police found the victim, a 40-year-old man, laying inside a gate at the home. Investigators don’t know if the victim has any connection to Ross, but since he is listed as the property owner, cops obviously want to ask him a few questions. So far, no comment from Rick’s camp about the situation. Ross experienced major health problems last year, experiencing two seizures in a matter of months. Here’s hoping he’s totally uninvolved with this tragedy. [Photo: WENN.com]
Bobbi Kristina Brown will attend her mother’s funeral today in Newark, New Jersey. But sources say her future beyond this memorial is unclear. Insiders tell TMZ that many members of Whitney Houston’s family are pushing for the 18-year old – who was hospitalized twice in the hours following the artist’s passing last weekend – to enter a rehab program… but are waiting until after the funeral to express this hope to Bobbi. A scene outside of Whitney Houston’s funeral. Brown has reportedly battled her own substance abuse problems in the past, as she was supposedly caught snorting cocaine last year. The family wants to learn from the tragedy of her mother, allegedly, and convince the teenager to seek help before it’s too late. But they also want her to properly mourn the parent to whom she was so close first. It’s a complicated situation and we can all just hope Bobbi Kristina comes out of it okay.
The official death certificate for Whitney Houston has been filed with Los Angeles County and made available to the public – but it reveals very little about the singer that we didn’t already know. The document runs through the basics – name, date of birth, occupation (“entertainer”), marital status, next of kin ( Bobbi Kristina ) and place of death – and also confirms that she’ll be buried at the Fairview Cemetery in Westfield, New Jersey. But it lists “deferred” pending further investigation as the cause of Whitney’s death. It’s strongly believed, of course, that Houston died because s he mixed prescription pills with alcohol , but no specific drugs have been confirmed. Autopsy results may not be back for weeks. Below, meanwhile, watch Janet Jackson speak to Anderson Cooper about this tragedy. Janet Jackson Speaks on Whitney Houston
A coroner has ruled out foul play, but John Ann Hotchkiss – the mother of Russell Armstrong – has confirmed in a new interview: “We want a murder investigation . We will do whatever is necessary to proceed.” Hotchkiss simply can’t fathom that Russell would take his own life – she says he was “warm and personable” and “loved his children to a fault” – and believes his financial struggles left him open to a “set up.” “No one is accusing Bravo,” Hotchkiss clarifies to U s Weekly . “We think someone conspired to have him murdered and it is open as to who did it.” Russell’s mother hasn’t shied away from the spotlight since her son’s death, explaining in an interview soon after the tragedy that Armstrong was petrified of his portrayal on season two of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills . Does she blame the program for what happened? No, but if Taylor and Russell had never been on it, “I honestly believe in the bottom of my heart they would still be together,” she said of the “emotionally brutal show.” And she does blame Bravo for airing Monday’s premiere: “[It] was a total slap in the face. It just showed how superficial and shallow [Bravo] is… they don’t care about anyone. They just care about ratings.”
