New Narnia Trailer: Don’t You Forget About Me

In a world where Harry Potter films come out almost annually and all five Twilight movies will be released in a span of less than five years, will the leisurely Chronicles of Narnia series seem left in the dust?

Why is the New Machete Trailer So Glum?

Machete is supposed to be fun, right? After all, when that fake trailer for Robert Rodriguez’s low budget Danny Trejo vehicle played in the middle of Grindhouse , and then that hoot of a teaser poked fun at Arizona a few months ago, I’m pretty sure we were supposed to smile, eat some stale popcorn, and get psyched. So why does the new full-length trailer play it so straight?

Shanghai Trailer: Why, Exactly, Has This Been on the Weinsteins’ Shelf for Two Years?

A foreign trailer for the Weinstein Company’s longest-delayed film, Shanghai , surfaced recently after two years of mythmaking, rumor-mongering and general Web undermining. On the one hand, that’s what happens for better or worse when Harvey Weinstein (or anyone, really — but especially Harvey) drops a movie on his shelf. On the other, while I can’t speak to the full-length feature, why is this even on a shelf in the first place?

The Hills Reality Check: Brody Jenner’s Guide to Casual Dating

If you were wondering why last night’s episode of The Hills felt different, vaguely organic and less rage-filled, it’s because Spencer and Heidi were gloriously absent. Maybe Heidi tagged along with Spencer on those producer-mandated anger management classes, or maybe editors scrapped the storyline in which Speidi hires a Shetland pony as their business manager and continues isolating themselves from the world, but either way, less Speidi meant that some of the other bit characters could really get deep for the cameras — like Stephanie, who revealed that she had never heard of lacrosse. Click through to see which moments hit the Real/Fake Jackpot during last night’s installment, “A New Bird.”

Burning Bright Trailer: Is This the Best Tiger vs. Autistic Kid Movie Ever Made?

Nearly two years ago, American audiences got their first hints to brace themselves for the thriller Burning Bright , which Variety described as “[centering] on a 20-year-old and her autistic little brother who are trapped in a house with a ravenous tiger during a hurricane.” Because, you know, it could happen to anyone. While it may have faded from our minds, it was never far from our hearts — hence the overwhelming surge of emotion to suddenly find the film’s trailer online and read that a DVD release is imminent. Go ahead, have a look.

Cannes-ibalism: Check Out the Trailer for the Fest’s Best Mexican Flesh-Eater Movie

We told you not long ago about Rubber , the Cannes title about a homicidal radial tire on the loose in the California desert. Here’s another juicy morsel from this year’s program to tide you over until something more palatable (or even more ridiculous than Rubber ) is served on the Riviera.

New Iron Sky Trailer: The Moon Nazis Cometh

Are you, by chance, familiar with the movie Dead Snow ? (Of course you are, but please, just play along.) Here’s the pitch: Nazi zombies terrorize some medical students on a ski vacation. Nazis, zombies, skiing, terror. This is an excellent pitch. Chances are good that you, the discerning moviegoer, would be interested in such a film. (Please wait until the end of this post to click over to Netflix and do a Watch Now. It’s not going anywhere.) But you know what? That’s only the second-best Nazi-related pitch you’re going to hear today. How about:

300 Spartans Ft. Epic Beard Man (Video)

Filed under: Humor , Videos , Movies At this point, there are hundreds of parody videos based around 300 , so I was skeptical when I first saw this video. Turns out it’s a masterpiece of clever editing, elevating the Epic Beard Man footage to dramatic heights. If you’ve never heard of Epic Beard Man, you clearly don’t spend a lot of time on the internet. Our Senior Editor Nick Douglas covered the story a few months back. It was a bizarre phenomenon that left a lot of people wondering who was in the wrong and whether or not someone was lying .
