Toyota: Lexus GX 460 Sales Suspended In The U.S.

Toyota has announced that the company will suspend sales of one of its luxury vehicles in the U.S. The move came after a U.S. consumer organization warned the clients not to purchase the Lexus GX 460 four-wheel drive because of fears that it could roll over. Toyota suspended its sale for further examination of the said product. They have to identify and correct the safety issues described. The company has recalled about eight million cars globally because of safety fears over faulty accelerators, floor pedals that stuck in mats, and braking problems. The Lexus GX 460 is labeled as a “Don’t Buy: Safety Risk” because of a problem which had occurred during its standard emergency-handling tests. During the test, they tried to push to its limits on track’s handling course, but the rear of the GX slid out until the vehicle was almost sideways before the electronic stability control system was able to regain control. The GX 460 has been out in the U.S. market for almost three months and about 5,000 vehicles have been sold. Toyota released a statement defending their company that their engineers also conducted similar tests and such allegations were not true. However, they will suspend its sales and recheck the vehicle. Who is Kayden Nguyen? Why did She Sue Seagal?

Kayden Nguyen is the former personal assistant of Steven Seagal who filed a $1M Lawsuit against the actor. Her claim was that Steven Seagal treated her like a sex toy and further claimed other forms of sexual abuse. Kayden Nguyen is also beautiful and did have a ModelMayhem account, telling us that she is also an aspiring model in Manhattan. Another tidbit about her is that she enrolled in college to learn how to be an air traffic controller. Steven Seagal’s lawyer however stated that Nguyen doesn’t hold credibility to her claim against Seagal since she had a record of being dismissed as Seagal’s personal assistant after being caught taking narcotics. 11-Year-Old Nadia Bloom Found Alive – It was confirmed Tuesday morning by the Winter Springs police that 11-year-old autistic girl, Nadia Bloom, was found alive. Bloom went missing last Friday while riding her bike. She was last seen in Barring Estates subdivision in Winter Springs. According to a pastor at Metro Church where Nadia’s relatives attend, a member of the church who was conducting a search activity found Nadia around Tuesday morning. The pastor added that when Nadia Bloom was found alive, she was literally covered with mosquito bites although she seems to be in a pretty good condition. Super Strong Beer Hits the U.S.

Last November, the BrewDog, a three-year-old Scottish microbrewery, released a new brand, dubbed Tactical Nuclear Penguin. The beer set a new record by weighing in at a scary 32% alcohol by volume (ABV), more than six times the strength of familiar domestic brands like Budweiser. As told on the company’s website (it shows stirred penguin sex), the brewery was able to maximize the alcohol content by freezing the beer at a local ice cream factory, at temperatures as low as -6°C (21°F), for 21 days. As alcohol freezes at lower temperatures than water, and removing water from the solution increased the concentration of the alcohol. Jim Watt, one of the BewDog’s co-founders, says that some bottles of Tactical Nuclear Penguin are in the process for shipping to a few stores in California and New York City. About half of the consumers buying beer from BrewDog’s are Americans. This was then Watt’s reference of setting-up a higher market demand. As said on the label of the Tactical Nuclear Penguin bottles, “This is an extremely strong beer; it should be enjoyed in small servings and with an air of aristocratic nonchalance. It is exactly the same manner you would enjoy a fine whisky, a Frank Zappa album or a visit from a friendly yet anxious ghost.” This led to be critiqued by some alcohol watchdog groups who aren’t happy with the company’s tactics. Jack Law, the chief executive of Alcohol Focus Scotland recognized BrewDog’s high-alcohol products as “irresponsible.” Watt’s statement was “We’re all for responsible consumption, but as we all know, beer and responsibility often don’t mix. New Nokia Phones Made Cheaper And For More Social Networking For The Masses?? Yes..you’ve read it right!  Nokia is launching phones with social networking for the masses Read along… recombu NOKIA C3 The cheap and cheerful C3 comes in at around $124 and is the first C-Series handset to allows you to update social networks directly from the homescreen. The handset also features a physical Qwerty keyboard for tapping those messages and emails, and a 2.4-inch rich colour screen. With Wi-Fi connectivity and a 2-megapixel camera you can be uploading those hilarious photos on-the-go or simply save them using the storage card slot which can house up to 8GB. On its way to Europe within the next couple of months, you’ll be able to pick up the budget C3 handset in gold and white, slate grey or hot pink. NOKIA  C6 Running Symbian, the N97 Mini-esque C6 has a larger 3.2-inch touchscreen as well as the physical slide-out Qwerty keyboard (pictured above middle). Unfortunately, as we suspected, it lacks the lovely angled slider that we were big fans of on the N97 Mini. It does feature a 5-megapixel camera with auto-focus and a flash, the handset also has the full Ovi Maps with free walk and drive navigation, as well as access to the Ovi Store. Out later this quarter, the C6 will be available for around $309. NOKIA E5 Last but not least, the Nokia E5 – one for the business person in your life perhaps (pictured above right). Like the illegitimate lovechild of a BlackBerry Bold and a Nokia E72, the Symbian-based E5 mixes a range of business applications with personal music, networking and entertainment apps. It’s a little cheaper than the other business-focused E-Series handsets and will come in a range of colours. The E5 is scheduled for release in the third quarter of this year for around $247. With the a wide array of models to choose from, let’s wait and see if these new Nokia phones have really improved..
