Last week, Kim Richards ditched rehab to attend her daughters wedding in Mexico, and the trip went about as poorly as could be expected. First, Kim got drunk and acted so belligerently that her daughter won’t talk to her and her sober coach quit on the spot. After that, Richards disappeared , leaving her loved ones wondering if she’d managed to make it back to the US. Now, Radar Online Kim has made it home to LA , but has decided to forgo treatment for her well-documented alcoholism. “Kim came back from Cabo last week but is refusing to go back to rehab,” said one insider. “She suffered a huge relapse at the wedding, and was mixing booze and pills. However, Kim is refusing to go back to rehab.” The source says Kim’s sisters have done everything in their power to convince her to return to treatment, but the 50-year-old Housewife remains firmly in denial. “Both siblings are obviously very concerned about her,” says the source “There is only so much the family can do for Kim, and refusing to get help is a big obstacle.” Obviously, the Richards family’s main concern is for Kim’s health, but there are other reasons for her to return to rehab, as well. Sources familiar with her court case say that Kim lucked out after her April 15 arrest and struck a deal that would allow her to avoid jail time in exchange for completing an addiction treatment program. Earlier today, Us Weekly released the first photo of Teresa Giudice in prison. It was a shock to see the usually posh Housewife in a military-green jumpsuit, but overall, the response to Teresa’s big house look has been overwhelmingly positive. Even better than the favorable feedback, however, is the huge (and much-needed) payday that the Giudices scored from selling their pics to Us. There were rumors that Teresa had sold the photo for big bucks long before the pic actually made its online debut, and now, Radar Online is reporting that the price tag was slightly lower than expected, but the image still netted a tidy sum for the struggling Giudices. Florida mom Heather Hironimus is currently a fugitive from justice after she refused to submit to a judge’s order that her four-year-old son be circumcised. Last week, a Palm Beach County judge reportedly ordered Hironimus to hand over the boy for the increasingly controversial procedure. She declined. A warrant has been issued for her arrest, and her whereabouts are unknown. The woman’s attorneys say she and her son have checked into a domestic violence crisis shelter because the youngster is “terrified” of the circumcision. “The child is scared to death of the procedure and doesn’t want it,” attorney Thomas Hunker said, according to South Florida’s Sun-Sentinel newspaper. Hunker said “there have been no safeguards put in place to protect the child’s psychological and emotional condition with regards to this surgery.” The obvious question on everybody’s mind: How did it reach the point where the minor, whose name is Chase, was thrust into the national spotlight? Hironimus and the boy’s father, Dennis Nebus, squared off in court over the issue last month, according to media reports, and the judge took his side. While Hironimus and Nebus once agreed to have Chase circumcised, Heather changed her mind and has been battling his estranged father over it. Supporters of Heather’s contend that circumcision is a barbaric practice that Chase shouldn’t have to endure (or at least that he should get to decide). One group founded on behalf of her plight, called Chase’s Guardians, helped raise more than $35,000 online to pay for Hironimus’ attorneys’ fees. “We feel like this is our son,” Amber Baxley, founder of Chase’s Guardians, said. “We’re fighting tooth-and-nail against this abhorrent, disgusting decision.” Circumcision has become a polarizing and hotly-debated issue in recent years, and this is not the first case involving it to make national headlines. Most of the children involved were anonymous, however. Hironimus and her backers have (they claim out of necessity) made Chase a cause celebre. The mom’s lawyers have requested that a mental evaluation be done on Chase to see if he’s mentally and emotionally capable of enduring a circumcision. Just how common is the medical practice? It depends who you ask, but it’s clearly favored more by select people and in select places than others. Only about a third of all men across the world are circumcised, according to World Health Organization research, most often for non-medical reasons. Whether you agree with having it done or not, it seems pretty crazy that the boy and his mother could be ordered to do so by a judge, doesn’t it? Flight Forced To Land Due To Smelly Restroom Someone on a flight from London to Dubai blew up the airplane bathroom SO BADLY that the pilot had no choice but to turn around and take everyone home. Typically one would think the situation could be remedied with time and a spritz of air freshener…but apparently the stench permeated the plane to the point where continuing on for the rest of the trip simply wasn’t an option. Via VICE.com : A British Airways flight was forced to turn around and land over the weekend because somebody did a s–t so bad the plane was essentially rendered useless. Imagine living your life in the knowledge that you once turded so appallingly that a 747-400 had to turn around and land. Your liquid s–t bought a $533 million airplane juddering out of the sky. Imagine looking your loved ones in the face after that. Imagine hugging your mom. You couldn’t. Your a**hole is essentially a terrorist. Anyway, the BA flight from Heathrow to Dubai on Saturday had to turn around and flop back down again at Heathrow just 30 minutes into the seven-hour flight because somebody did a toilet crime. “The pilot made an announcement requesting senior cabin crew, and we knew something was a bit odd,” one passenger said. “About 10 minutes later he said, ‘You may have noticed there’s a quite pungent smell coming from one of the toilets.’ “He said it was liquid fecal excrement. Those are the words he used.” The flight was rescheduled for the next day, and British Airways made a statement saying, “We’re very sorry for the discomfort to our customers,” before providing everyone on the flight — including the rogue sh–ter, presumably, whoever they may be –with overnight hotel accommodation. The saddest (or most hilarious?) part of it all, is you know that there were at least a handful of passengers that knew EXACTLY who the culprit was. We just want to know why it is they couldn’t have handled this situation at the airport before takeoff??
