To many people, Tim Allen is known for his role on the classic, beloved sitcom Home Improvement, or for providing the voice for Buzz Lightyear in the Toy Story movies. Or maybe you know him best from The Santa Clause, or his work as a comedian, or from any other of his many endeavors in the entertainment world. But after watching this new interview he did on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, you might remember him best as a Donald Trump supporter . And that's … well, it is what it is, we suppose. Tim started out this segment of the interview by very, very hesitantly admitting that he attended Trump's inauguration. “You gotta be real careful around here,” he laughed, referring to Hollywood. “You get beat up if you don't believe what everybody believes. This is like '30s Germany.” He then went on to explain how Google Maps and iPhones are tools of the government used to spy on people, so … Look, Tim can believe whatever he wants to believe, obviously. If he's a Trump supporter, then good for him. But maybe the issue he's experiencing isn't so much “like '30s Germany” as it is an issue of people strongly disagreeing with Trump's backwards views and then assuming his supporters share those views. You can appreciate and support people with different beliefs than yours, but if those beliefs are ones you find deeply morally wrong , then it makes things harder. Check out Tim's interview below:
Snoop going bolitical with a message? Welp, better late than never, right? This new video by Snoop, BadBadNotGood , is making waves because of a clown Pres. Donald Trump being assassinated in the video. Naturally, the republicans like Rubio are warning Snoop about his video being taken out of context, but we say…this song and video are pretty dope! SMH @ The end and them not passing Trump the spliff. Youtube/TMZ
Let's be real with ourselves for a minute: if anyone could bring on an actual apocalypse, like an honest to goodness, for real apocalypse, it would be Donald Trump, right? His amount of power plus his amount of ignorance … it's just not that hard to imagine. And, according to this glorious skit Saturday Night Live aired last night, it could happen sooner than we think. Yes, Alec Baldwin brought his half-hilarious, half-terrifying Trump impression back to SNL last night, and instead of poking fun at something ridiculous the president has already done, they looked to the future. One year into the future, specifically, which is when they predict “aliens from the planet Zorblatt 9” will land on earth and kill us all. An Army troop is gathered, determined to save the human race from the aliens, who are quickly destroying the world. But before they begin their mission, Trump has some words to share. He rambles for a moment — so true to real life, right? — and someone asks him what they should do. Trump's response? “We are going to bring coal back.” Is it funny or tragic? Then again, isn't that always the question? Baldwin's Trump throws in an Arnold Schwarzenegger jab , a reference to “fake news,” and he even manages to work in a racist joke! Check out the possible future of our country in the video below:
After meeting last week with President Donald Trump, Morehouse President John Wilson Jr. kept it 100, releasing a statement that described the two days of meetings as, well, “troubling.” Leaders like Wilson likely wouldn’t have called the meeting “troubling” had they followed any of these steps.
Forgive the obvious opener, but… … Arnold Schwarzenegger will NOT be back. The actor-turned-Govenor-turned-reality-TV-host said hasta la vista, baby to Celebrity Apprentice on Friday, announcing that he will not return to the NBC series for a second season. The star, of course, took over for Donald Trump as host for the latest installment of this franchise. And that was basically the entire problem Schwarzenegger explained via statement. “I loved every second of working with NBC and Mark Burnett,” the 69-year old said, adding: “Everyone – from the celebrities to the crew to the marketing department – was a straight 10, and I would absolutely work with all of them again on a show that doesn’t have this baggage.” Ah, yes. This baggage . Schwarzenegger is referring to the fact that Donald Trump stayed on as Executive Producer of Celebrity Apprentice, despite being elected President of the United States in November. This cast a controversial shadow over the program before it even premiered in January. “With Trump being involved in the show, people have a bad taste and don’t want to participate as a spectator or as a sponsor or in any other way support the show,” Arnold continued. “It’s a very divisive period now, and I think this show got caught up in all that division.” It didn’t exactly help that Trump actively trash-talked his predecessor over the show’s dwindling ratings. “Wow, the ratings are in and Arnold Schwarzenegger got ‘swamped’ (or destroyed) by comparison to the ratings machine, DJT,” Trump Tweeted on Friday, January 6 . He added at the time: “So much for being a movie star-and that was season 1 compared to season 14. Now compare him to my season 1. But who cares, he supported [John] Kasich & Hillary [Clinton].” Schwarzenegger responded by slamming Trump as a “skunk,” and later tweeted to the commander in chief himself: “I wish you the best of luck and I hope you’ll work for ALL of the American people as aggressively as you worked for your ratings.” Celebrity Apprentice did struggle in the ratings this season, but it also decreased over the course of Trump’s run. NBC has yet to pick up the show for another run, following Matt Iseman emerging victorious in the season finale that aired last month. In another Tweet, Schwarzenegger addressed Trump as follows: “Please study this quote from [Abraham] Lincoln’s inaugural, @realDonald Trump. It inspired me every day I was Governor, and I hope it inspires you.” Schwarzenegger then went ahead and read the quote in a video. This is what it said: We are not enemies, but friends. We must not be enemies. Though passion may have strained, it must not break our bonds of affection. The mystic chords of memory, stretching from every battlefield and patriot grave to every living heart and hearthstone all over this broad land, will yet swell when again touched, as surely they will be, by the better angels of our nature. Jon Stewart made a return to late-night television on Monday. The former Daily Show host didn't just appear on The Late Late Show with Stephen Colbert… … he sat behind the host's desk and gave a 10-minute, passionate speech directly into the camera. It started, of course, with your basic criticism of President Donald Trump. Stewart went on and on about all the lies Trump has told over the past few weeks, but he then turned his attention to the media. And he REALLY let them have it. “Can I talk to the media for a moment?” Stewart said, sort of keeping things light but also delivering a series message. “Hey, guys. Hey, media. So I heard Donald broke up with you. Stings a little, doesn’t it? You finally thought you’d met your match. A blabbermouth who’s as thin-skinned and narcissistic as you are. “Well, now it’s over! Well, good riddance, I say! Kick him to the curb.” Stewart, ever the media critic, proceeded to spend a few more minutes criticizing reporters for failing to truly actually Trump accountable for all he did and said during election season. But he wrapped up the segment with a few uplifting words. In a manner of speaking. “Here’s my point,” he explained. “This breakup with Donald Trump has given you, the media, an amazing opportunity for self-reflection and improvement. Instead of worrying about whether Trump is un-American, or if he thinks you’re the enemy, or if he’s being mean to you, or if he’s going to let you go back into the briefings, do something for yourself. “Self-improvement! Take up a hobby. I recommend journalism.” Watch Stewart's full rant/pep talk/segment below and then sound off: DO YOU AGREE?
