Michaels’ TV boss, Donald Trump, spoke to Matt Lauer on “Today” about his current condition, noting that Michaels is known for his dedication and work ethic. “He’s diabetic, and he was working 24 hours a day,” Trump said on Tuesday morning (April 27). “This guy really was a competitor. He would work so hard, maybe harder than anybody else. And he’s doing well.” The “Apprentice” boss added that upon meeting the “Rock of Love” star and Poison frontman, he wasn’t sure he could come out on top on the show. “When I first met him, I thought he didn’t have a chance.” Trump indicated that Michaels showed no signs of illness while taping “Celebrity Apprentice” two months ago. Every season, “Celebrity Apprentice” has a live season finale, and Trump isn’t anticipating that Michaels will be on hand for it when it happens in four weeks. “We’ve never been confronted with anything like this. … I can’t imagine he’s going to be in the final,” Trump explained. “But knowing Bret, he might very well be. I just hope he makes it. Forget the show. He’s such a good guy.” Michaels’ “Celebrity Apprentice” co-stars have also been wishing him all the best. “I am hoping for a speedy recovery,” fellow ’80s musical superstar Cyndi Lauper said. “He is a strong-willed person, so I am feeling very positive that he will pull through like a champion. A few years down the road, when Trump is still pitting celebs against one another to test their business savvy, the tycoon is hoping Lady Gaga will fill Lauper’s shoes. “I’m a big fan of Lady Gaga,” Trump told MTV News about the prospect of the pop star competing on his show. “We went to her opening [show] in New York [City at Radio City Music Hall] , and I’ll tell you, she’s fantastic. She’s really great.” Does Gaga have the chops to win the show and prove she’s the ultimate celebrity apprentice? “She would win,” Trump asserted. “Absolutely!” Speaking of “The Celebrity Apprentice,” Trump also weighed in on former contestant Jesse James’ current marital strife , saying there’s no way he can repair his relationship with Sandra Bullock. “Well, he self-destructed. Jesse really self-destructed,” Trump said. “He was on ‘The Apprentice,’ and he did a really good job. He’s a tough guy. He’s very sullen, but he’s tough. Donald Trump Says Jesse James ‘Self-Destructed’

And Trump believes that the same fate will befall him in his relationship with Oscar winner Sandra Bullock as a result of his alleged affairs. “Well, he self-destructed. Jesse really self-destructed,” Trump told MTV News on Monday night on the Dressed to Kilt red carpet in New York City. “He was on ‘The Apprentice’ and he did a really good job. He’s a tough guy. He’s very sullen, but he’s tough. But he really did self-destruct and I can’t imagine after what he’s been with and what he’s done that he gets Sandra back.” Further addressing James’ reported affairs, Trump added that it seems likely that he and Bullock will go their separate ways. “I don’t think he can get Sandra back,” he continued on the red carpet. “I would imagine that Sandra’s had it with everything’s that happened. I don’t think he can get Sandra back.” So, what about that other famous guy who reportedly cheated on his wife? Does Trump think that Tiger Woods can repair his image and his marriage? “Well, Tiger can be repaired by winning,” he said. “And he will win.” Since news broke of James’ alleged infidelities, Bullock has canceled several high-profile appearances and James checked into rehab for “personal issues.” James also has issued an apology to his superstar wife about the allegations. “There is only one person to blame for this whole situation, and that is me,” he said. “It’s because of my poor judgment that I deserve everything bad that is coming my way. This has caused my wife and kids pain and embarrassment beyond comprehension and I am extremely saddened to have brought this on them. I am truly very sorry for the grief I have caused them. I hope one day they can find it in their hearts to forgive me.”

Diary of a Madman: Meet Justin Massler, Ivanka Trump’s Stalker [Crime]

A 27-year-old Reno native named Justin Massler was arrested yesterday for stalking Ivanka Trump . News reports have described Massler as an obsessed fan with “a crush” on the socialite/heiress. His vicious tweets and violent comics suggest otherwise. Massler’s Twitter account has been deleted, but a cached version contains a string of angry messages directed at Trump. On March 2nd, Ivanka posted a photo of herself at an event for the launch of the UN Foundation’s Girl Up campaign. Massler responded with 14 tweets calling Trump “a diseased elitist and part of the problem” and saying her work with the UN was “as bad as appointing Hitler to head a charity for Jewish Hospitals.” He also vowed to “destroy your entire jewelry enterprises with a brand destruction media campaign.” Back in February, before he started sending her nasty messages on Twitter, Massler created the ” Ivanka Trump Fan Blog .” The blog only contains two entries. The first is a fawning ode to Ivanka that references her “intensely alluring beauty and impossibly shapely figure” and ends with a love poem. A few hours later, Massler put up a second post featuring a bizarre comic illustrating what would befall him if Ivanka denied his overture. Massler’s deleted tweets, comics and poetry are below.
