Dance Moms Season 7 Episode 1 Recap: Fight For Her Life

On  Dance Moms Season 7 Episode 1 , after around 45 melodramatic episodes of Season 6, Abby Lee Miller delivered an epic announcement: She is quitting the Lifetime show to pursue a career as an MMA fighter, where she hopes to duke it out with Kelly Hyland on pay per view. Kidding. Her real announcement wasn’t that good, but if you  watch Dance Moms online , you know she never hesitates to shake things up … We picked up with Abby in her office, looking as bored as she always does. She furrowed one of her brows when she clocked the Junior Elite mothers in front of her.  “Look what the cat dragged in,” she barks.  The moms looked pissed, but they really couldn’t say anything. It’s been two months since the last competition and they know their kids are struggling without Abby’s connections.  When Abby asked if the kids were coming back, the moms seemed to think that was all down to Abby and whether she could split her time between the two teams evenly.  Abby requested that the girls came in because she had something she needed to discuss with everyone involved at the ALDC.  When everyone was together, Abby dropped the bomb that she was struggling to juggle working with two teams and that she would be cutting some people out in order to make a coherent team that could listen to her commands.  This was met with outrage from the moms, who quickly started wondering who Abby wanted rid of. Kerri decided that was the final straw and took her kid, quitting the ALDC.  Abby seemed unfazed by it and was probably somewhat happy at there being one less person to coach.  There was a clear divide between the mini mothers and the elite mothers. The mini mothers seemed to think all of this was brought on by the elites heading off to another dance studio earlier in the year.  When the gang took to Vegas, Abby said the mothers did not need to be in the room during the performances. They seemed to think this was to rattle the girls and make it easier for Abby to rattle them.  Abby then caused a huge argument by saying some of the kids would be jealous, but in true Abby fashion, she lied right after it and denied it.  Geez, doesn’t she know how much trouble lies can get you in? Kendall took 3rd place in the Teen Solos, with Brynn coming in 1st place! The girls came in 1st place for the group solo. It was surprising, and pretty great. Abby was ecstatic.  However, when it came to crunch time, she could not get rid of anyone.  Instead, she said she felt like she was going to vomit and ran off.  Would she really get rid of some of her girls? Sound off below!

Empire Season 3 Episode 6 Recap: Did Someone Die?

Empire is getting crazier by the week and not in a good way.  On Empire Season 3 Episode 6 , the company was hacked, bringing business to a grinding halt and landing the Lyon family in trouble.  We picked up with Cookie and Angelo being as cute as ever. In fact, Cookie wanted to show Angelo just how much she valued him as her significant other by sending him a nude picture. Little did she know, it was going to be all over the internet soon after.  Yes, Empire got hacked and it threw everything into turmoil. Lucious was completely pissed at the prospect of all of his emails becoming common knowledge and started waving baseball bat around.  Come on, it wouldn’t be Lucious if he didn’t threaten people with violence. That’s sort of the only thing the guy can do to get ahead. It’s pretty sad. Right?! Things went into overdrive when a nude picture of Cookie was released to the masses. Whenever there’s a hack, there’s always nude pictures not far behind, so Cookie sending pictures of her goods to Angelo at the top of the hour made it pretty predictable that a hack was around the corner.  Tariq and the FBI showed up at Empire to find out what went on, but Tariq made it clear to Lucious that he would be finding out all of his secrets to use against him.  The Tariq storyline has been dragged out for too long already. It’s time to send it to the scrap heap and be done with it. The board trying to oust Andre from the board was hilarious. Andre knew what to do to get back on their good side and it was to prove they were all as bad as each other.  After the picture was released, Cookie broke things off with Angelo because she thought she was hurting his campaign and knew her past would be dredged up. It was a surprisingly good move for her. She put Angelo’s feelings before her own.  There’s something about this couple that just works so well. When Angelo was quizzed about splitting up with Cookie, he stripped off on live TV as a vow of solidarity. It was a good gesture, but I do get the feeling he wanted to show off his ripped body to the masses.  When Lucious and Andre quizzed Tiana about some dude who hacked her phone before, they went to his house and had Shine deal with him. Shine did promise to send Lucious some sort of gift from the body, which was fifty shades of disgusting.  However, the biggest twist of all came when we got word that Andre Lyon was more like his father than he first realized. He was the one who orchestrated the hack and got someone else to do it, knowing he could swing the blame on the other guy.  It was a well thought out plan, but I don’t think the show needs another Lucious Lyon. This could get old real fast, so we might as well enjoy it before it goes stale.  View Slideshow: 2016 Spring TV Awards: And the Winners Are… Something about these first episodes of Empire Season 3 has felt very off and I hope the writers get it together in the second half of the season. It’s time to ditch the guest stars and start telling viewers a coherent story that actually has long-term consequences for the characters.  Right now, it feels like the slate has been wiped clean from the previous episode and that’s not doing anything for the flow of the series. There was a time when Empire was appointment TV, but it’s descending into mediocrity and it needs to sort itself out before it is too late.  Take Jamal’s storyline. He seems fine for one episode, then this week he’s went completely downhill and overdosed on drugs. The storylines just aren’t meshing very well and it needs to be addressed soon.  Heck, don’t even get me started on everyone being on good terms with Anika. Yes, the woman who murdered Rhonda Lyon. What do you think of the developments? Sound off below! View Slideshow: Empire Cast: Did You Know…?

Jake Harris, Deadliest Catch Star, Savagely Beaten in Washington

Jake Harris, a reality star best known for his role on Discovery’s Deadliest Catch, was savagely beaten and “left for dead” on Saturday night, according to official police records. The violent incident took place around 8 p.m., as officers at Everett Police Department received answered a call from a man who reported that someone appeared to be seriously injured on the side of the road. The cops arrived on the scene and found Harris in grave condition. According to officer Aaron Snell, the former Deadliest Catch cast member got into a car with two or three unidentified people at nearby Quill Ceda Creek Casino. After entering this vehicle, some kind of altercation broke out, resulting in Harris getting robbed of his personal property. At some point during the night, the car stopped on the side of road and Harris either exited or was hurled out the door. Once he was discovered by authorities, the 21-year old was given medical aid and officials on the scene determined that “he was alert, conscious, answering questions and breathing.” Snell relayed this information to People Magazine. The officer proceeded to explain to the publication that Harris declined to be taken to the hospital and was therefore taken home by an cop after receiving medical attention. However, things then took a turn for the worse and residents at his house later took Harris to the hospital where he was admitted to the ICU. “I have some terrible news today. My brother was jumped last night and some individuals decided to beat him pretty good, which is a terrible, terrible thing,” Josh said in a Facebook live video. He continued: “I have located these people and talked with him – he’s in ICU right now. Some individuals beat him to the point where it cracked his skull from his forehead all the way back to where you would be balding as an individual. “My brother is bleeding out of his brain currently.” Added Josh, who is also a Deadliest Catch star: “They literally beat my brother, left him for dead, threw him out of a moving vehicle onto the side of the freeway. “Luckily the people that were behind the vehicle that he got thrown out of ended up seeing my brother and called 911.” The official Deadliest Catch Facebook page wrote simply: “Please join us in wishing Jake Harris the best with his recovery.” We most definitely will, but we can at least confirm in the meantime that two suspects were arrested in Spokane, Washington for this horrible act. According to KHQ Local News (see above Tweet), Amanda Ritter, 30, and Jorel Fultz, 29, were arrested on first degree robbery charges and remain in the Spokane County Jail. We send our thoughts and prayers to Jake Harris and his family at this time.

The Voice Results: Who Got the Chop … and the Save?!

Who’s going home on The Voice this week? That is never an easy question to answer, and boy was the tension high as the results show went down to the wire once more on Tuesday. In the wake of the 2016 presidential election results, we’ve learned not to put too much faith in polls slash iTunes charts slash CW. Conventional wisdom, that is. Not The CW network. Although we don’t put a lot of faith in that either when it comes to The Voice results, because why should we? Anyway, downloads of The Voice Top 12 performances are one component of the elimination, along with online, Facebook and app votes. And, of course, Twitter. Oh yes, saving the best for last, those in danger of going home end up battling for a Twitter save in real time, which is borderline thrilling. This week, there will be two singers at the bottom, one instant save, and only one elimination. So with all of that said, let’s get into it man! The singers declared safe last night: Ali Caldwell (Team Miley) Wé McDonald (Team Alicia) Brendan Fletcher (Team Adam) Courtney Harrell (Team Blake) Billy Gilman (Team Adam) Darby Walker (Team Miley) Austin Allsup (Team Blake) Christian Cuevas (Team Alicia) Josh Gallagher (Team Adam) Sundance Head (Team Blake) That left Sa’Rayah of Team Alicia to go against Aaron Gibson of Team Miley, battling it out for the final spot in next week’s top 11 show. Sa’Rayah belted out Aretha Franklin’s “Rock Steady” while Aaron chose Ed Sheeran’s “Lego House” to sing for his life, and the save. Ultimately, as the tweets piled up … Aaron earned the nod. Sa’Rayah has been eliminated, even if her funk classic cover had a lot more energy than Aaron’s acoustic jam. America has spoken. Do you agree? There have been no shortage of controversial ousters on The Voice and this one will be no different. In truth, the show has too much talent. An embarrassment of riches, even. No matter who gets cut, it feels like a travesty some weeks, whereas on other such competitions, you wish they would eliminate more. That speaks to the show itself, and the fact that it’s going so strong after 11 seasons also tells you pretty much all you need to know. Sound off on The Voice results!

The Vampire Diaries Season 8 Episode 3 Recap: Plan B

Will the residents of Mystic Falls ever find happiness? That was a key question on The Vampire Diaries Season 8 Episode 3 when Sybil put a plan in motion to get Damon and Enzo away from the ladies in their lives.  We kicked things off with Sybil changing the memory of the car crash that killed Elena’s parents. It was a heartbreaking scene, that signaled the return of Liz Forbes.  Sybil made Damon think Elena died in the car crash, but Damon didn’t care because Sybil had already wiped her from existence in his memory.  Sybil then tried to get Enzo to switch off his humanity, but she quickly realized she would need to take Bonnie out of the equation if she had any hope of taking the two men on as her soldiers.  Caroline and Bonnie were in a bridal store, trying to find dresses for the wedding, but Damon showed up and ruined the fun. Caroline managed to overpower him, and they made their escape.  The two friends hit up the Salvatore mansion, but Stefan had already removed the weapons so the house was not full of hazards for the kids.  Stefan was busy working with Alaric to try and find a way to take Sybil down, but things were pretty awkward between them.  Stefan got a phone call to go meet Damon, but he was scared Damon was going to try trick him into something.  When they met up, Damon asked Stefan to help him, but he couldn’t reveal what the plan was. When he opened his trunk, Enzo was unconscious.  View Slideshow: 17 Television Characters Who Have Served Their Country Sybil showed up at the Salvatore mansion and told Caroline and Bonnie that Damon would be fighting to the death with Enzo and the winner would be her soldier.  Sybil was being surprisingly civil with the two ladies. It seemed like the two of them were going to die, but Sybil let them in on the plan. They set off for the fight, but Bonnie got sick of Sybil and put her through the windscreen of the car.  When they got to the fight, Sybil arrived and told the two men to stop fighting, before turning Enzo’s humanity switch off. She then gave Bonnie a head start to run off before Damon caught her.  Alaric stepped in with the pitchfork and hit it. It made Sybil fall to the ground and the team swooped in to kidnap her. They succeeded, but she could still contact Damon from the armory.  Damon then set off to cause a world of destruction. He went for Tyler Lockwood and actually murdered him. You guys, Damon is completely freaking crazy.  There’s really no turning back from what he’s done now and even Alaric thinks that saving him is a lost cause. Sybil may be captured, but she still has a whole lot of control.  View Slideshow: 24 Shocking TV Deaths Bonnie is now faced with the tough task of trying to get Enzo back to being good, but will she really manage to save him? I mean, we’re only three episodes into the final season, so there’s still a lot of story left to tell.  It sure seems like Stefan and Alaric could have a bond as strong as Dalaric, but we’ll need to wait and see how the rest of the season plays out.  Hit the comments below with your take on the events.  If you want to relive this GREAT season, you can watch The Vampire Diaries online via TV Fanatic. Dance Moms Season 6 Episode 27 Recap: End of the Road

Lifetime’s Dance Moms Season 6 Episode 27 was titled “Mini Mayhem,” and for good reason, as the minis wreaked havoc on the series. Possible felon and definite train wreck Abby Lee Miller assigned duets to the elites and minis in an attempt to unify the dueling units. Good luck with that. Watch Dance Moms Season 6 Episode 27 Online You don’t have to even  watch Dance Moms online  to know how this was gonna turn out, though we really can’t do it justice here either. While there were no killer clowns on last night’s show, the group mused on how nice it was to do the pyramid without Lifetime’s finest. Yes, Abby Lee Miller was off terrorizing someone else, apparently, leaving her dutiful co-choreographer, Gianna Martello, to stand in. While Miller acknowledged that the elites did well with their previous dance, she said they should be able to choreograph a dance quickly. She went on to reveal the title of the elites’ number, “The End of the Road,” saying it may mean it’s either their “end of the road” or hers. The stakes are high, in other words. In rehearsals, Holly Frazier worried that the girls having a say in their own choreography was the kind of thing that could backfire hard. “Abby doesn’t like anyone doing something without Abby being in charge of it from the very beginning,” Holly said, and no one argued. Bringing down the group’s morale is a real concern, but this is Abby we’re talking about, and she spoke her mind about the situation: “I don’t know if this is really the end of the road for the junior elite competition team but they’re getting older and taking me for granted.” After last week, the boss added, “I think the girls are getting a little too big for their britches,” and it was time to knock them down a peg. Or several.   “They think that getting out on stage and ‘choreographing the number’ was this big deal but let’s face it, while you dance for me?” “To be part of this team, it’s not a democracy. I’m in charge. It’s my thing. And if you don’t want to play my way, then this is the end of the road for you.” Basically, Miller is the one calling the shots and you can take it or leave it. You know, in case anyone was wondering where they stood. The moms loved the result, but the judges weren’t as impressed, and gave the girls a rare and mediocre fifth place. Cue shock and awe. Disappointed as they were, the dancers were gracious and stated that they lost out to other great dancers, but Abby saw this differently. “They got beat at their own game because the overall high score was not the Abby Lee Dance Company,” Miller told the cameras. “It was because the choreography was not what you put on the stage … and that’s where they got a little too big for their britches.” Abby Lee said that “they didn’t remember ‘You know what? Maybe I’m getting in over my head.’ Maybe to leave it in my hands.” Where will the chips fall from here? That remains to be seen, but we wouldn’t want to be in the room with Abby at the next week’s pyramid.

Counting On Season 3 Episode 6 Recap: Welcome … to the Main Event!

Tuesday on  Counting On Season 3 Episode 6 , Ben Seewald joined forces with NFL stars to give back to the Northwest Arkansas community. Also, Jinger Duggar and Jeremy Vuolo planned a trip to New York City. Come along as THG recaps all of these key events and more. Watch Jill & Jessa Counting On Season 3 Episode 6 Online “Sports can be a great avenue to invest in kid’s lives,” Ben told producers in the not-so-articulate fashion fans have come to know and love. Ben is usually a source of boundless optimism for wife Jessa and the other people in his life, but last night’s episode featured a rare moment of self-doubt for the 21-year-old. “If the camp doesn’t go well, I’m going to feel pretty bad,” Ben said at one point. Fortunately, with the help of former Steelers and Colts linebacker Steve Conley, the camp went off without a hitch. Crisis of self-confidence averted! Elsewhere in the episode, Jinger Duggar prepared for a trip to the East Coast with fiance Jeremy Vuolo. Of course, this was before Jinger and Jeremy got engaged .  So yes, Jinger traveled with a whole crew of chaperones (Michelle, Jessa, Ben, and even Baby Spurgeon). The Duggar devoted may have already known this as the trip that prompted Jinger’s hair crisis . Jinger Duggar: Curling Iron Crisis! More importantly, however, it’s also the trip on which Jeremy popped the question. Unfortunately, we didn’t get to see that moment in last night’s installment. But that doesn’t mean the episode ended on a cliffhanger. If you watch Jill & Jessa Counting On online , you are keenly aware that Jeremy has already made his intentions very clear to Jim Bob Duggar and the rest of Jinger’s family. Just to drive the point home, he made certain to point out that he was packing the ring that he and JB had picked out for the occasion. “I’ve got a small surprise for Jinger you could say,” Jeremy told the cameras with a smirk. Ben told the cameras, “Jinger has no idea what’s coming for her!” We think she might have an inkling Ben. Y’all haven’t exactly been subtle in keeping in plotting this little surprise. In other contrived plot lines, Jana Duggar set out to redecorate the guesthouse in preparation for Jill and Derick returning from abroad. Hey, other people have to do something while the Jinger and Jeremy show marches on, right? It’s reaching the point that Jinger’s siblings might be more eager for her to just go ahead and get married than she is. On second thought, no one is more eager for Jinger’s wedding than Jinger is. In fact, it’s possible that no one has ever been more eager for anything than Jinger is for her wedding. View Slideshow: Jinger Duggar Photos: From Childhood to Courtship! We can’t say we blame her. The girl’s 22 and her physical contact with the opposite sex has been limited to side hugs. Should be a fun wedding night. Just sayin’.

Brad Pitt "Married a Lunatic" & "Lives on Whiskey," Celebrity Sources Say

By now, you’ve almost certainly heard the news that Angelina Jolie has filed for divorce from Brad Pitt . Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie Divorce: How Much is at Stake? Press coverage and social media rumors have been everywhere, but in the nearly two full days since the separation was announced, we’ve come no closer to any concrete understanding of what drove one of Hollywood’s most celebrated couples apart. It might be quite some time before we find out exactly what prompted Jolie to take steps toward legally ending her marriage (just a few days after separating Pitt, no less) but there’s one explanation that seems to be popping up more than any other. And now it’s being corroborated by both the most reliable names in the celebrity gossip game ( People , TMZ, Us Weekly , etc.) and even a couple celebrities who are willing to be named. According to the consensus from folks who are happy to stick their neck out a bit and be held accountable for their stories, Brad wasn’t cheating with Marion Cotillard or anything quite so sexy and scandalous as all that. Rather, all signs seem to indicate that it was Pitt’s drug use  and quick temper coupled with just a general conflict in lifestyles that prompted Angie to pull the plug. And who are the celebrities who are backing up this version of events? Well, before we go any further, we should note that we’re using the term “celebrity” very loosely here, and only one of the two whistleblowers seems to have any genuine insider knowledge about the situation. We’ll start with Chelsea Handler (* pauses for customary tossing of smartphones and laptops out the nearest window *), who, as usual showed up to spew bile all over the scene and turn non-believers to stone with her icy glare:  Chelsea weighs in. #brangelina pic.twitter.com/mCZsP5AHIy — Chelsea (@Chelseashow) September 21, 2016 “Brad and Angelina always said they wouldn’t get married until everyone could get married. And always said I wouldn’t get married until they got divorced,” Chelsea joked (we think that qualifies as a joke) in a video posted to her social media pages today.  “There are rumors that part of the problem Brad was drinking and smoking too much weed,” she continued. “I wonder why he needed to self-medicate … Oh, yeah, because he married a f–king lunatic, that’s why!” Wit, thy name is Chelsea. It’s worth noting that Handler is close friends with Jennifer Aniston, which might explain the slight bias apparent in her comments. A slightly more reliable and significantly less grating account of Brad and Angie butting heads over his substance abuse comes to us courtesy of actor Richard Bohringer who spoke about the experience of working with Pitt and Jolie on the 2015 film By the Sea . “They are curious, these American stars,”  Bohringer told the French magazine Closer. “Brad Pitt, he lives on whiskey. She is a funny girl. They’re a funny couple.” So there you have it. View Slideshow: Angelina Jolie Divorces Brad Pitt, Celebrities React in SHOCK Angie was crazy and Brad was drunk. Empire Season 3 Episode 1 Recap: Who Died?

Empire left us with the mother of all cliffhangers when it closed up shop in May.  It was pretty darn obvious that either Anika or Rhonda fell to a certain death after the big rooftop fight.  Fortunately for viewers, we picked right up where we left off.  The Lyons were leaving that terrible wedding and then there was a huge thud when someone landed on the roof of a car.  It was Rhonda!  It was hardly a shock when you think about it. Anika’s storyline had so much more possibilities than Rhonda’s ever did.  She’s Hakeem’s baby mama and now the wife of Lucious. What more could she want? The writers genuinely destroyed the character of Anika on Empire Season 2, so here’s hoping that things pick up for her.  Empire has never been a show grounded in reality, but when you think of half the crap Anika has pulled, it’s pretty damn ludicrous.  Andre was destroyed after witnessing Anika throwing his wife over the rooftop. He immediately decided the best course of action would be to strangle Anika.  That was obviously his rage getting the better of him. He was interrupted by Anika’s waters breaking and that sent most of the Lyon family to the hospital.  Meanwhile, Hakeem showed up at Tiana’s home and tried to get her back. It was a bit rich when you consider the fact that he was marrying Lauren mere hours earlier.  As much as Tiana wanted to say no to Hakeem, it’s been pretty clear for a while now that she still loves him.  Back at the hospital, Cookie took Rhonda’s box of belongings to Andre, who let us know that he was totally done with God.  Lucious was shocked to see the police appear at the hospital and made his way into Anika’s room to make a threat while delivering her baby.  Lucious told her to lie that Rhonda committed suicide and tried to take Anika with her. Anika reluctantly agreed while trying to push her baby out.  Mr. Lyon really picks his moments to make threats. Right?! It seems that Anika got the last laugh when Lucious got the shock of his life when a baby girl was delivered.  If you recall, she told him it was a boy. The look on Terrence Howard’s face was fantastic.  He totally deserved it.  Some time later, Lucious had a meeting with some of his friends and threatened to make Times Square his bitch.  Yes, he really did. Can this whole Swift Stream thing be over already? It got old months ago.  View Slideshow: Empire Cast: Did You Know…? A meeting between the Lyon clan in the Empire boardroom showed just how fractured the family really is.  Lucious was still going on about Swift Stream and mumbling words about how the feds could be watching at any time.  When you know you’ve done something wrong, paranoia sets in.  Lucious was egging Jamal on perform at the show, but there’s something wrong with him.  His confidence is gone. Hakeem comments that he should perform instead.  We then got the next big twist of the evening. Lucious did not put Hakeem’s name on the birth certificate.  Lucious seemed to think that he would change his mind when Hakeem changed his ways and cut the drink out.  Cookie stepped in with the same views as Lucious. This made Lucious think he was on good terms with Cookie.  However, she made it clear that their ship sailed long ago and that him wedding Anika was the final strike on their relationship.  Shine Johnstone showed up while Hakeem was recording and made it clear that the Lyon family would be honoring their side of a deal that would get his niece recognized.  Later, Cookie realized her sisters were getting a little too close to Tariq and she and Lucious went to get Anika from hospital.  When they arrived, she had already been discharged. The two of them were horrified in case Tariq got to her first.  Cookie made the observation that he would need to move Anika in to his home to further back up their claims.  The Lyons decide to throw a dinner party to bring Tariq closer to them to try and see if there is any way of getting rid of him without a fight.  As expected, an intense argument broke out with everyone against Tariq. Cookie played mediator to calm things down.  The big performance arrived, but Jamal could not perform in front of the crowd and rushed off stage, leaving Shine’s niece to muscle her way in and use it as a chance to get recognition.  If you thought that was enough drama for one night, Kaitlin Doubleday appeared as Rhonda, but she was a figment of Andre’s imagination and wanted him to get rid of his medication.  This is not going to go down well.  Then there was the revelation that Tariq was watching Lucious with the baby. Yes, he stooped low enough to put a camera in a teddy bear.  Empire, you continue to delight me with all of the crazy twists.  More episodes like this! What did you think of the season premiere?
