The Vampire Diaries Season 7 Episode 3 Recap: Three for the Road

Viewers were taken on a pair of trips on The Vampire Diaries Season 7 Episode 3 . First, Damon and his two besties (Bonnie and Alaric) learned that Lily’s missing Heretic, Oscar, was in Myrtle Beach. They tracked him down with the goal of trading him for Elena’s body. When they found Oscar, he was in a partying mood, telling the trio that he had been sent their on a mission, but decided to stick around, remain off the radar for a bit and just live life to its fullest. Oh, and Oscar is also a siphon who was unable to rid Bonnie of her scary visions, although he did know right away that they were a result of The Phoenix Stone. He urged the group to get rid of it. After Bonnie yelled at Alaric for lying to her about destroying the Stone, she agreed to do whatever she could to help him try to get Jo back with it. Despite this clearly being a terrible (albeit romantic) idea. Back to Oscar: Damon, Bonnie and Alaric eventually apprehended him, which led to Damon calling Lily and making the offer of trading him for Elena. But we closed the episode with Valerie using a locator spell to find Oscar, discover that he was sent by Lily to find someone named Julien and then kill him because she cannot deal with every seeing Julien ever again. View Slideshow: 15 Best Shows in CW History: Ranked! And just who is Julien? We spent a lot of time this week in 1863, going over the love story that featured Stefan and Valerie. She had been sent by Lily to check on Stefan, to simply make sure he was doing okay, but then she fell in love with him. She was his first (his first you know what, that is!), but she got whisked away by Lily’s boyfriend soon after getting together with Stefan. That boyfriend was Julien. He made Valerie leave with him for Europe and then he intercepted her when she made an attempt to return to Stefan. She did so because she was pregnant with his child (unbeknownst to Stefan)… but that didn’t last long, tragically. Julien beat Valerie within an inch of her life, killing the unborn baby in the process and then dragging Valerie away to Europe, where he told Lily that he found her on the street like that. So it makes sense that Valerie does not want Julien back in the picture now, that’s for sure. In the present day, Valerie killing Oscar will cause quite the problem for Damon and his plan to get Elena back; while Valerie also told this entire tale to Caroline, but Lily eventually let her go and Stefan made it clear that his past with Valerie is very much in the past. But what about the future? No, not  The Vampire Diaries Season 7 Episode 4 . We’ll get to that next Thursday. The flash forward we saw, however, featured Stefan calling Tyler (yes, Tyler!) and telling him to warn Caroline because his scar had returned and Caroline was not returning his calls. Tyler seemed to understand what this meant right away, not that the viewers really have much of a clue at the moment. Arrow Season 4 Episode 2 Recap: Anarky in the USA

Thea discovered the truth about her anger issues on Arrow Season 4 Episode 2 . Elsewhere, CEO Felicity made a discovery of her own, learning about the the cost of doing business; while Damien Darhk’s most recent handiwork led to a political development. Watch Arrow Season 4 Episode 2 Online We’ll start with Felicity, who we may not hire to ever run our business. She now heads up Palmer Tech and she avoided some actual payroll problems this week by employing a bit of fantasy. She and Oliver now have money, as the latter put it, yet they used a lot of it to buy a fingerprinted truck instead of covering a decent amount of a staffer’s salary. The storyline just didn’t really work. View Slideshow: 18 Sexy Small Screen Superheroes Elsewhere, Oliver was tasked with keeping Jeri Ryan’s Jessica Danforth safe. She was a family friend running for Mayor in place of Moira. Enter Anarky, Darhk’s private contractor who initially tried to kidnap Jessica and then eventually abducted her daughter. Because he’s all about “order, discipline and precision,” Darhk actually gave Lance the girl’s location and Lance, in turn, told Oliver to go ahead and prove how things are different this time around. So Team Arrow went out and rescued the girl. But the major fallout here was that Thea (aka Speedy) practically roasted Anarky to death as a finishing move. Before this scary moment, Oliver told his sister about the Lazarus Pit and how it was used to bring her back to life and how he had been warned that its side effects could leave her very different from before. At the end of the hour, Laurel suggested that she and Thea enjoy with a spa getaway; but, in reality, she’s taking her friend to Nanda Parbat for two reasons: To gather the information that might help Thea deal with these issues. To see what the Pit might do for Sara, who’s not looking so hot after a year in the grave. As we look forward to Arrow Season 4 Episode 3 , these developments also went down this week: Diggle told Laurel about how Darhk’s “ghosts” work for H.I.V.E., the same organization that killed his brother. Laurel responded by warning him against internalizing the guilt over a sibling’s death. In flashbacks, Oliver afield to pass himself off as a castaway to Baron Reiter, who put him to work. During his first shift, Oliver met a young woman who complained about the conditions. Oliver hinted that he may run for Mayor! Need to catch up on this installment? Keeping Up with the Kardashians Recap: Throw That Piece of S–t Scott in Jail!

Keeping Up with the Kardashians revealed Kourtney’s reaction to Scott cheating this week, and offered unwelcome insight into Kris Jenner’s sex life. Watch Keeping Up with the Kardashians Season 10 Episode 17 Online “I literally have too much sex. I’m exhausted.” – Kris Jenner You know Keeping Up with the Kardashians Season 10 Episode 17 was eventful when Kim Kardashian’s diabetes confession barely even registers. Such is the case when her Momager rambles about getting railed by Corey Gamble, her much younger boyfriend, with far too much detail. “I’ve realized I don’t want to get married, but I have a lot of fun with Corey, and I love being with him,” Kris admitted. “He said, ‘I don’t want kids.'” “I love you, and I feel that way about you.'” If you watch Keeping Up with the Kardashians online , you know that Kris has had no problem traumatizing her daughters over the years. This took it to a new level, however. Meanwhile, Khloe and Caitlyn Jenner patched things up after recently butting heads, and Kim made the surprising, aforementioned health confession. It was all about Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick for the most part, though, as we finally got to see what went down behind the scenes. Kris Jenner, never one to mince words, called The Lord a “piece of s–t” after photos of Scott Disick and Chloe Bartoli surfaced earlier this summer. View Slideshow: 11 Hottest Chloe Bartoli Photos: Scott Disick’s Side-Piece is Smokin’! Kourtney didn’t use as much profanity, but said, “When I wake up, I feel sick. I’m just literally on the verge of, like, a mental breakdown.” “My mind is completely made up. Yeah, no, I mean, I told him that. God just opened my eyes and was like, ‘You need to move on.’ I need it to be done.” “I can’t do it anymore.” While Kris wanted to see him in jail (we’re not sure how she planned on doing that), Kourtney feared for his health and safety amid his epic bender: “Scott seems to just get worse. I wanna be mad, but then I also worry about Scott’s safety. He definitely has a problem that he has to deal with.” After talking to one of Disick’s close pals, “He just said that he’s hysterically crying and saying ‘I love you’ and just, like, suicidal talk,” Kourt said. “The guy from the rehab said, ‘Just call 911 if you think something, you know?'” Kardashian added. “You don’t wanna be sorry and have not called 911.” Fans will get a chance to hear Scott’s side of the story (how Kris Jenner ruined his life , probably) on November 15 when Season 11 premieres on E! In the meantime, enjoy these photos, Scott, as it sounds like this is as close as you’re gonna get to the gorgeous mother of three you let get away: View Slideshow: 21 Photos of Kourtney Kardashian Showing Scott Disick What He’s Missing

The Vampire Diaries Season 7 Episode 1 Recap: There Goes the Neighborhood

Elena Gilbert, who?!? Okay, that may be an exaggeration. It may still take us awhile to fully adjust to life in Mystic Falls without Nina Dobrev’s beloved character. But  The Vampire Diaries Season 7 Episode 1 gave us plenty to focus on while Damon waits many decades to be reunited with his sleeping girlfriend. The Heretics have very much arrived… and they mean sinister business. Not Lily, though. Damon and Stefan’s mother spent most of the premiere trying to make peace, trying to teach her proteges how to simply fit in to this new world. But that’s never an easy task for a vampire, especially not after Stefan, Matt and Caroline try to do away with the Heretics for good by blowing up their house. This plan backfires, however, after the Heretics survive… and get really angry in response. They kill numerous residents at a town square gathering (where Matt receives his police badge, hooray!), forcing Stefan to come up with a new plan in order to keep everyone safe. He actually makes up a story about imminent (non-vampire-related) danger and goes about evacuating Mystic Falls. Stefan strikes a deal with Lily that basically puts the Heretics in charge (heck, they move in to the Salvatore mansion!), as long as they promise not to go after Stefan and his friends. But then Damon arrives home from a drunk trip to Europe. He went there to drink away his sadness over Elena, while Alaric joined him to do the same regarding Jo’s death. Oh, and Bonnie served as their chaperone. After viewers learned that Alaric has stolen some kind of mystical item (one desired by Lily) and, behind Damon’s back, is somehow trying to bring Jo back to life… Damon and Bonnie returned to their sparse hometown. Not a fan of Stefan and Lily’s peace accord, they teamed up to kill Malcolm, a Heretic especially close to Lily. We can only imagine the ramifications this will have on The Vampire Diaries Season 7 Episode 2 . Elsewhere: Enzo chose a side… and he made the wrong choice. Toward the end of the hour, he knocked out Caroline with a syringe. We opened the episode with a flash forward to three years from now in Brooklyn. And we saw a panicked Stefan wake up a sleeping Damon from his coffin. For what reason? Well, we closed the episode with the brothers on the run from a woman equipped with some impressive weapons. We also see that Stefan now has a tattoo, the same tattoo a mute Heretic named Beau has, and that it’s coming alive in this woman’s presence. WTF?!?!? Is the woman after them Lily? Why are the Salvatores in Brooklyn? What the heck is going on here?!? Go watch The Vampire Diaries online to see if you can make sense of these flash forwards and then sound off: What do you think of the Heretics? Of what Alaric is trying to do?  Of The Vampire Diaries without Elena? Will you continue to tune in? The Vampire Diaries Promo – “Never Let Me Go”

The Originals Season 3 Episode 1 Recap: Yes, Sires

What’s past is prologue. So William Shakespeare wrote in The Tempest. If this is the case, however, the past for Klaus Mikaelson may be the prologue to a very dangerous future, based on The Originals Season 3 Episode 1 at least. After closing one chapter in May, this CW drama opened up a brand new one on Thursday night. Yes, there were still loose ends to tie up from Season 2, namely the fact that Davina is Queen Regent (and having her power challenged by older queens in the Quarter) and also that Hayley is once again under the werewolf curse. The latter proved to be a problem after a company named Kingmakers Inc. bought up all the land in the bayou and hired independent contractors to kill as many wolves as they could find. Once Elijah came across these contractors, he dispatched of them in classic Elijah fashion. But he also found a truckload of dead wolves and wondered if one of them is Hayley. We know it is not because Davina used some kind of spell to summon Hayley and tell her she must do something for her because she can see her daughter. Elsewhere, we met a detective named Will Kinney who sometimes uses Vincent to help with cases that appear supernatural. He also called on Cami (who has been serving as Klaus’ actual psychologist) during the premiere to figure out what’s going on with victims that appears to have been killed by a vampire. But this was the meant of The Originals Season 3 Episode 1: Via flashback, we see that the Mikaelsons (Finn, Kol, Elijah, Klaus and Claire Holt as Rebekah) decide to go undercover as a royal type of family in order to live a “normal” life soon after they are turned. They keep an underling named Lucien alive in order to help them with this guise and he proves to be very useful in offering the family advice on how to lie and how to live in an upper class society. Fast forward many centuries and Lucien shows up in New Orleans. It’s clear right away that he’s a vampire and that Klaus turned him. He warns Klaus that vampires around the world are feuding and they’ve realized that the best way to do away with their rivals is by killing the Original that sired them… because this would take down the entire line. He also hints that there’s some White Oak remaining. After using his psychic to prove his point that trouble is ahead, Lucien claims to be on Klaus’ side. His life is tied to Klaus, after all. But we close the episode by seeing that Lucian is behind Kingmakers Inc. We also cut to a scene in some distant land, where a woman is so disturbed by the news she receives in a letter that she kills the servant who brought it to her. This woman is named Aurora. We met her in the flashback when Klaus and company were undercover, with Lucien saying she a beauty they should stay away from. So, in other words… WTF?!? It’s safe to say we’ll learn a lot more about Aurora and Lucien and this pending danger on The Originals Season 3 Episode 2 . And it’s VERY safe to say we’ll be tuning in to see where this new storyline goes from here. Will you?!?

American Horror Story Hotel Recap: Gone GaGa

Well… okay then! While past itinerations of American Horror Story have opened by introducing a set of seemingly normal individuals, slowly but surely making it clear these people and their circumstances are anything but normal,  American Horror Story Season 5 Episode 1 took a different tact From the outset of this premiere all the way up through it’s insane ending, we were inundated with one WTF moment after another. We might as well start with Lady Gaga , right? She’s on board as The Countess, someone who lives in the penthouse of the titular hotel and who is in a relationship with Matt Bomer’s Donovan. We meet these two as they are getting all dolled up for a big night out, which ends up taking them to a movie in the park. But they don’t care about the film there. They waste no time seducing a fellow couple… bringing them back to the hotel… briefly engaging in an orgy… and then sucking out all their blood. The term “vampire” is never uttered here, but The Countess and Donovan clearly feast on the insides of others. They seem perfectly able to walk around in the sunlight, however. Here is what else we learn about this unusual twosome: Back in 1994, Donovan was taken to the hotel by Sally, a local drug addict. His mother, played by Kathy Bates, followed her child there and bribed the transgender bellhop (Denis O’Hare) to reveal the room in which Sally and her son were getting high. After finding Donovan passed out, Bates’ Iris eventually pushes Sally out a window. But is she really dead? Sally is a main character in present day, still hanging out at the hotel – and still engaging in some rather effed up business. We see her tell O’Hare’s character that a certain guest is all “hers,” which leads to the most disturbing scene in the premiere: This guest, played by New Girl’s Max Greenfield, is doing drugs in his room when some very weird creature enters, puts on a spiked dildo, and rapes Greenfield from behind. Sally then sits by the bed, tells Greenfield’s character to say that he loves her and the experience will then be all over. He does so, twice, and the creature then seems to disappear… and his victim appears to die. Finally, we have Wes Bentley as John Lowe. He’s a detective who’s investigating a grisly serial killer. This killer taunts him over the phone by claiming he kidnapped his wife and also claiming he’s waiting for him at Hotel Cortez.  Neither ends up being true. But it is true that Lowe literally lost his son a few years ago, turning his back while his child, Holden, rode a carousel. This abduction has caused major tension between Lowe and his wife, though Lowe remains close to his daughter. Afraid for their lives due to the presence of this serial killer, Lowe moves out toward the end of the premiere, settling into the mysterious Room 64 at the hotel. As for Holden? We see that The Countess has him and a few other kids holed up somewhere on the premises, playing video games, dressed the same and acting very strangely. What the heck is she doing with them?!? It’s safe to say this is one of many questions we have after an entertaining, freaky, confounding opening episode. What did you think of it? Go watch American Horror Story online if you need to catch up and sound off below.

Arrow Season 4 Episode 1 Recap: Here Lies…

Folks, THAT is how you do a cliffhanger! We jumped ahead many months on  Arrow Season 4 Episode 1 , as Oliver and Felicity were out of the crime-fighting game.. but very much in love. So, is that it? Should the show now change its name to Diggle or something as our favorite couple enjoys a calm life out of the spotlight? No.  In present day, Oliver and Felicity were lured back to Star City (not a typo; that’s the new name) due to villain Damien Darhk causing some major problems there (and aligning with Captain Lance? Safe to say we’ll be learning plenty more about that in the weeks ahead). Elsewhere, Flashback Oliver was apprehended by Amanda Waller in Coast City, as she sent him back to a familiar terrain to assess a threat: That would be none other than … Lian Yu! Back to present day: Oliver was all set to propose to Felicity (EEEEK!!!!), but he was interrupted by Thea and Laurel. So Oliver packed up the ring and has it in hiding and every viewer on the planet cannot wait to see if he does pop the proverbial question on Arrow Season 4 Episode 2 .  But that is not the biggest question we have heading into next Wednesday night, far from it. We closed the premiere with Oliver receiving a visit from The Flash‘s Barry Allen, as the former vigilante stood over a grave and we learned it was six months later. Oliver vowed to “kill him” and we were left to wonder: WHO IS IN THE GRAVE? WHO IS DEAD?!? AHHHH! IS IT NEXT WEDNESDAY YET?!?!? Sorry, we got a little carried away there. Still, go watch Arrow online to see that closing scene and you’ll fully understand why.
