Thursday’s Grey’s Anatomy was a real tear-jerker. Picking up in the immediate aftermath of Betty revealing she’s more of a Brittany and has been hiding from her parents, Owen and Amelia realized they needed to help out somehow. Unfortunately for Betty, her parents showed up at the hospital. Amelia was the one to break the news about Leo. The issue this presented was that Amelia and Owen were the ones caring for the child. The good news was that Amelia was on hand to open up about her own struggles with addiction to Betty’s mother. “I’m an addict, too. I did all of that. I ran away, I lied, I broke my mother’s heart over and over again,” Amelia said, adding: “When I got clean, she was the last person I wanted to see. The shame was too great. I’m sure you’re a good mom, and I promise you, your little girl is still in there.” The big mistake on Amelia’s part was that Betty’s parents decided to use that against Amelia and Owen, branding Amelia, “another drug addict.” Amelia’s actions did not sit well with Owen, either, because it meant that Betty’s parents were likely going to secure custody of the child. Meanwhile, Bailey started to grow concerned about her future at the hospital, especially after Alex started to get a lot of recognition for his interim role. It all came to a head when Alex’s photo was put up on the wall, and Bailey decided it was time for herself to be the one in charge again. In a truly shocking scene, Alex admitted that he was not going to let Bailey have the job back just yet. “I kicked this job’s ass, just like Weber told me to,” Alex said, confirming that he would be keeping the job until his six-month contract was up. In the end, it gave Bailey the urge to say that she was proud of him. Alex has stood up for himself ever since he walked through the front door of the hospital. He’s killing it at the job, so why should he end it so soon? Then there was Meredith, who was on the DeLuca train, but had a big problem: Maggie once dated the same man, so Meredith wanted her sister’s seal of approval before going full steam ahead. “He’s a good guy. I don’t think he’s ever not a good guy. He’s got your back,” Maggie ultimately said to Meredith. This came after Maggie had to perform surgery on someone who bullied her in med school. Meredith assisted her with the surgery, but it was clear the patient had a profound effect on Maggie’s time gearing up to be a doctor. What are your thoughts on all the action? On last Monday's intense episode of The Bachelor , Colton Underwood walked away and seemed to quit the show. He didn't really , of course, but ABC did conclude the installment by fading to black before even airing a rose ceremony, telling fans the storyline would “be continued” this week. Those were the circumstances under which we turned in to The Bachelor yesterday, curious about Colton and where his mind is at these days. But we ended this episode with thoughts about two suitors instead, following their historic decision to truly quit the show. These choices have been teased in our ongoing The Bachelor spoilers section, but you need to scroll down to see how they actually played out… 1. We Started This Week with a Rose Ceremony Gotta make up for not showing it last week, right? Almost right off the bat, Onyeka is sent packing after her explosive fight with Nicole in Miami. 2. What About Nicole? She got the early boot, too, of course. 3. We Move to the Group Date… The women competed in martial arts prior to going to a party, at which Sydney confronted Colton about giving other women more opportunities than her. 4. Why No One-on-One Date? Colton had no answer for Sydney. It’s not like he even picks who is rewarded with these outings. “I feel like ever since someone’s like, ‘Hey, you’re The Bachelor,’ it’s a lot of pressure. Everybody expects me to have everything figured out, and I don’t. I don’t have it figured out,” Colton told Sydney during this emotional chat. “I’m not naive to the fact that there’s other people here and I know every relationship is so different.” 5. Here’s the Thing, Though “My fear is that with the choices that you’ve been making, you are taking a lot of the easier choices with the people that you are pursuing. If that’s what you’re looking for, great,” Sydney told Colton candidly. 6. More from Sydney “I’m kind of at a crossroads because I want something real and I want something magical and I want everything that you’re looking for.” View Slideshow
Tom and Kato have held power for several rounds now on Celebrity Big Brother. They’ve treated their allies terribly and gloated to the other houseguests that they hold all the power on several occasions. The only way was down for Tomato, and Monday’s special eviction episode sure turned up the heat. When the episode got underway, we learned what really happened to the save Joey plan, and it was all thanks to Tamar. Tamar wanted Kandi gone at the beginning of the season. The two women flat out hated each other, but they’ve become each other’s ride or die. As such, Tamar told Natalie that she wanted to keep Kandi in the game. Natalie granted the wish, and that’s why Joey was voted out of the house. But Kandi was not ready to show gratitude to Natalie or Lolo for saving her. Instead, Kandi wanted to get the two physical threats out of the house and told Tamar. Natalie and Lolo were mad when Kandi started talking to Tom and Kato, prompting Tamar to pull her aside and find out what she was up to. Kandi told her former enemy that they needed to make some moves because Natalie or Lolo will win the game. “Kandi, if you go after them, they’re gonna come after me AND you!” Tamar stressed when it seemed like she was about to lose her cool. The HOH competition was a stressful affair. Tamar admitted that this was the one she could excel at, and that’s what she did. It came down to her and Kato, and she managed to secure the most crucial win to date. Maybe Tamar can put her emotions aside and win this whole thing. Tamar decided it was time to split Tom and Kato up, so she put them on the block with a speech that might as well have said “f–k you” to them both. The veto competition played out live and found the houseguests trying to remember which statements about performance were true or false. Round 1: Everyone gets a point Round 2: All but Kato & Tom get a point Round 3: Everyone gets a point Round 4: All but Tom get a point Round 5: Tamar and Lolo get a point Round 6: Lolo gets a point Round 7: All but Tamar and Dina get a point Lolo won the POV competition, and acted like she was presenting the Oscars when she admitted she was taking neither Tom or Kato off the block. Ricky votes to evict: Kato Kandi votes to evict: Kato Dina votes to evict: Kato Lolo votes to evict: Kato Natalie votes to evict: Kato The plan was great. Tom thought he was going, and the houseguests voted to evict Kato to rattle Tom so that he would not perform well in the HOH competition. We have the next HOH and nominations playing out on Thursday before the show returns for a double eviction on Friday. View Slideshow: Big Brother: Meet the Most Controversial Houseguests
“You went and got a whole new life, halfway across the world this time,” she said. “But you didn’t give a damn about the people you left behind.” Thursday’s episode of Grey’s Anatomy was an emotional one. Catherine went under the knife for surgery when it emerged that her cancer had to be treated straight away, and Meredith weighed up whether she could say goodbye to her dying father. Meredith was open and honest with Richard, a man who has been instrumental in her career from the get-go. She wanted to be with him while Catherine was in surgery in the event he needed to vent, or if something didn’t quite go to plan. However, Richard told Mer that he didn’t need her during this time and that she would be best visiting her dying father and trying to make peace with him. Meredith wondered about whether she could actually press on and visit the man she hated, and she was in for a surprise when she did. Thatcher was close to death. As such, he had lost lots of weight, was weak and didn’t have much will to live for longer. He decided to quit the treatment plan because his condition was terminal, and he didn’t see much point in trying to prevent the unpreventable. Meredith didn’t know what to say, but that was fine with Thatcher. He went on to list some of the things he did following the last time they saw each other. Thatcher said that Lexie’s death weighed so heavily on him that he started building schools in Zimbabwe and did so until he got sick. He was also sober during that time. That’s when Meredith realized she could not sit and allow him to talk. “You went and got a whole new life, halfway across the world this time,” she said. “But you didn’t give a damn about the people you left behind.” That’s when we were let in on the biggest bombshell of the season: Meredith’s father did return home, but it was for Derek’s funeral. He attended, but Meredith was understandably a bit out of it following the loss of the love of her life. What followed were emotional scenes with the father and daughter finally putting the past behind them, but it wasn’t long before Thatcher passed away. Back at the hospital, Amelia and Koracick were given the green light by Catherine to try and cure her cancer. Things got a little too emotional when Catherine handed Jackson her will because she was fully prepared not to survive the surgery. “I will see you when I wake up,” she promised to her husband, Richard before the surgery commenced. Things were tense throughout the complicated procedure, especially when it emerged that the surgeons could not take out the whole tumor. Richard said they could try doing it piece by piece and that they did. However, they could only remove 95 percent of it, confirming that there was some going to be left over. But this was a win. Catherine could live her life normally … for now, and that was enough for her. “I’ll operate. I’ll hug my son. Make love to my husband. Chase my Harriett,” she said. “Make mistakes. Fight about who gets to pick the movie on date night. You two have given me my life back.” What are your thoughts on how all of it played out? Hit the comments below. Celebrity Big Brother is in full swing, and with two people out of the house, it was time for the houseguests to work on their list of targets. Ryan was blindsided by Jonathan’s eviction, and he vowed to go after Tamar, Lolo, and Natalie because the vote confirmed they were no longer working with him. There was one lone vote to evict Kandi, and everyone wondered who was the one to try and get the Real Housewife out of the house. Naturally, everyone thought Tamar was to blame, and she was not impressed. “Jonathan was in Mean Girls, Lindsay Lohan was in Mean Girls, that was like, uh, 2000 years ago, they’ve been friends forever,” she says. “Of course she’s gonna keep him in the house.” Ryan quickly started to worry about his future in the house and realized that his only hope of safety was for Joey to win HOH. Yeah, Joey is the same person Ryan nominated for eviction just a few days ago, but what else is he supposed to do at this stage? Tamar followed up her previous rant about Dina being the lone vote for Kandi by saying: “She’s 52 years old; that girl don’t know nothing.” Okay then. We then moved on to the next HOH competition which was an endurance one. Ryan watched on the sidelines as he worried about his future. It came down to Kato and Natalie, with the former offering the former WWE worker safety, so she dropped down because she felt there was no point in winning a competition this early into the game. Ryan turned to Kato with a deal of his own: Allow him to pick off the other players, and carry him to the end. But Kato recognized that Ryan was doing it out of desperation. Tamar then complained at Natalie for making a deal without consulting her alliance, but Natalie felt she could be better in next week’s competition. Elsewhere, Dina continued to drag Kato for lying to her face about the votes, and Lolo did not seem to enthused to be seen talking to her. Lolo took the news to Tamar, and the pair started bickering once again. Oh yes, these women hate each other. Tamar then complained that she was ready to leave the game and set out to throw everyone under the bus. In the end, Dina and Tamar were on the block for eviction. Celebrity Big Brother Season 2 got underway on Monday night, and it found 12 celebrities (if you can call most of them that!) entering the house to battle for a cash prize. There was a Real Housewife (Kandi Burruss), Lindsay Lohan’s mother (Dina Lohan), Anthony Scaramucci, and even that loser Ryan Lochte. Yeah, we think it’s fair to say CBS scraped the bottom of the barrel with most of these options, and most viewers will be looking at this edition as a bonus winter season featuring regular houseguests. There wasn’t much in the way of action during this opening installment, but we’ll run down some of the highlights for you. Tamar Braxton and Kandi had some beef before entering the house, and it was evident based on the confessionals that there were still some negative feelings between them. Tamar opted to kill Kandi with kindness by offering to work as a pair with her during the first HOH competition. Whether these two will be able to play nice when the heat is turned up is another story, but time will tell. Olympian Lolo Jones complained in the D.R. that knowing Ryan Lochte would make her an immediate target. It’s not uncommon for Olympians to know each other, but we see where Lolo is coming from. Surely anybody would want anyone associated with Lochte out of the house. He’s a freaking snake. Julie Chen then revealed the first twist of the season: The houseguests would be paired up to become Celebrity Big Brother’s first-ever power pairing to compete for the HOH competition. Ryan was drawn to go first, and he picked Jonathan to work with him. Next, Tamar chose Kandi for her pair. Then we’ve got Joey and Ricky. Lolo and Tom. Dina and Anthony. That left Kato and Natalie wondering about whether they were about to be sent to the block without getting a chance to fight for safety. With that, Julie revealed the two left out of the competition were safe from the block during the first nominations ceremony. The houseguests then worked in their pairs to try and fill up champagne glasses. Ryan and Jonathan had an immediate lead, but by the end, they were neck in neck with Lolo and Tom. In a tense standoff, Ryan and Jonathan won. Their victory was short-lived, however, when Julie announced the pair would be facing off against each other on the next episode. The winner would be the first HOH, and the other would find themselves as the first nominee. Gulp. What are your thoughts on celebrities? Hit the comments. Part two of the HOH competition will play out on Tuesday at 8/7c. View Slideshow: Big Brother: Meet the Most Controversial Houseguests
There was a lot up in the air as Grey’s Anatomy made its triumphant return to the air on Thursday night. While the hospital was plunged into darkness, lives were on the line, but fans only had one thing on their minds: MerLuca! Meredith and DeLuca were trapped inside an elevator mere moments after the latter opened up about his strong feelings for the former. If fans thought they were in for one of the show’s steamy hookups, then they were sorely mistaken. Meredith was too concerned about Cece’s wellbeing. As you will recall, Meredith had a heart for Cece and was gearing up to harvest it to save the love guru. That was moments before the storm plunged the hospital into darkness. Desperate to prove his he was worthy of being her man, DeLuca pressed on with finding a way to escape. Before the elevator actually got moving, DeLuca persisted to get his point across to Meredith. He thought she was excellent, and he would be very interested in getting between the sheets with her. Grey was grinning from ear-to-ear, but she was not ready to get hot and heavy in an elevator. Things took a turn when DeLuca revealed that his father was a famous surgeon in Italy. However, he operated on seven patients during a manic phase and saved four. He was tried but acquitted because he had money and connections. In a genuinely romantic moment, Mer asked her beau to speak to her in Italian. Here’s the translated version of what he said: “When you finally let me kiss you, and you will let me kiss you, I won’t ever stop.” Mer understood every single word he said, and the pair got close. Then the freaking door opened. As for Cece, she started the hour in a bad way. Her vitals were dropping, and it was not looking good. “My old heart is jealous of my new one,” she told Maggie. One of the new interns, Taryn, worried that Cece was about to pass away and there was no heart ready because it was trapped in another elevator. “I just think we’re gonna plummet, and Cece’s gonna die,” said Taryn to Bailey while in said elevator. On the outside, Jackson was going all out to save Cece and went as far as threatening the hospital’s building manager because he wanted in that elevator stat. When the manager did actually he help, he got his legs crushed by the doors of the elevator. Cece continued to get closer to death and realized there was something amiss, so she chatted with Maggie about the surgeon’s love life. But the conversation was cut short when Cece flatlined. Meredith tried to save her life and was ecstatic there was a heartbeat. “We got a heartbeat,” Mer yelled. “Thank God — she told me she would haunt me.” The next thing we knew, Mer was talking to Cece about her romantic interests, and the camera pulled back to reveal that Cece was dead. Looks like not everyone can win, you guys. elsewhere on this wild installment: – Maggie wanted to break some more rules to tell Jackson about Catherine’s cancer and sulked around the hospital as others told her not to. – Bailey had an epiphany: She loved Ben and wanted to make everything right. She texted him before reaching out to Karev to ask for his help. – Amelia, Teddy, and Owen all took the baby news well, with Teddy agreeing to stay in Seattle because the child could have two parents. In the end, Amelia said she was giving Owen time to consider his options. What are your thoughts on this wild midseason premiere? Hit the comments below. Grey’s Anatomy continues Thursdays on ABC. With reality TV being filmed so far in advance, viewers are just getting to the crazy stuff for Teresa Giudice and her family on The Real Housewives of New Jersey. Giudice finally weighed in on husband Joe’s forthcoming release from jail on Wednesday’s episode of the Bravo hit and was surprisingly upbeat about it. “The closer it gets to Joe getting out, all I think about is, ‘Soon he’ll be home,’ ” Teresa said about her dire situation. “I don’t even talk about deportation. That’s all negative thoughts. To me, Joe’s coming home, and that’s it.” Um, what? Do we sense a hint of denial there, Teresa? The immigration court ruled to deport Joe to Italy when he finished out his 41-month prison sentence. Even though an appeal was lodged, he still faces deportation. It’s obviously a tough time for the family, but what we do know is that Teresa has still been visiting him. “I just came straight from seeing Joe,” she told Danielle Staub, before going on to confirm their time together on the inside is spend talking about their four children and “what he wants to do when he gets out.” The conversation quickly turned to what Joe tried to do when Teresa visited him. “He’s trying to touch my a–. I’m like, ‘Get your hand off of my a–,’ ” Teresa laughed. “You’re not allowed to do that!” It’s not uncommon for lovers to want to get closer to each other after spending so long apart. There have been many rumors of late that Teresa is ready to call time on her marriage. There was that time she was all over social media WITHOUT her wedding ring. A lot can change in a few months, but if all of this Joe talk did anything, it shut down some of the rumors. For now, Teresa just wants her husband home and thinks it will complete her family again. “I’m looking forward to it,” she said. “The kids will really be happy when he gets home. They can’t wait, especially Milania.” Elsewhere on Wednesday’s episode, Jennifer Aydin was out for blood. Her first big bust-up was with Jackie Goldschneider who wrote the article bashing her parenting skills. In a comical moment, Jackie allowed Jennifer to use her restroom before heading to a vineyard, but it was not up to the latter’s standards. “What a dump,” Aydin complained after getting a look at the restroom. Restroom Wars could be a good TV format for Bravo! “After Jackie came into my house and used it against me, you think I’m gonna pass up the opportunity to see her house? I don’t think so,” Jennifer said in a confessional. While on the bus, Jennifer started dishing out gifts she brought back from Turkey, but she turned to Margaret and uttered the following: “Yours got lost in the mail along with the mail-order bride that never was.” This was in response to Margaret’s ill-timed comments that Jennifer’s brother was getting married to a mail-order bride. Margaret could not respond because she was blindsided. What did Jennifer buy Jackie? A dagger. Yes, really! Well, Jennifer said it was “an ancient Turkish dagger that people used when they wanted to stab people in the back, so I figured I can give you something tangible, so the next time, I can see you coming.” But Jackie refused the gift, saying she did not want the”passive-aggressive gift.” What followed was the women literally throwing the dagger back and forth at each other. Thankfully, the pair made things right, but Jennifer continued to pursue Margaret. When the ladies got drunk at the vineyard, Margaret started chatting about how she met her current husband, Joe. “He was married at the time, and she thought he was gonna leave his wife,” Margaret shared, while Jennifer laughed and said, “I see a pattern here.” “What’s the pattern?” Margaret quizzed. “Your mother was with a married man, and you were with a married man,” Jennifer shot back. “That’s not a pattern. That’s called a coincidence,” Margaret complained. Jennifer then tried to take back her comments, but Margaret was not ready to let this feud die out and complained about Jennifer’s brother and his marriage. “I’m just saying, culturally, it’s very hard to relate to,” Margaret explained. “So you can’t relate to people who have setup marriages, and I can’t relate to people who have affairs with married men,” Jennifer fired back. “Who sleeps in the f–king pool house?! Who sleeps in the pool house?!” screamed Margaret who was getting irate at Jen’s existence. “You avoid making comments on something that you don’t understand, and I’ll avoid making comments on things that I don’t understand, like breaking up a family!” Jennifer yelled. Later in the episode, the ladies attended an event for Milania that celebrated her song’s release, and there were fireworks. Danielle previously told Teresa that Margaret said she was not to trust Teresa or Melissa Gorga. “I never said that,” Margaret said. “You did, and we discussed that at my house right before we had the bachelorette party,” Danielle replied. Margaret said that Staub said to her, “I don’t know who to trust,” and that her response was, “Well then don’t trust anybody.” Margaret eventually walked off because she was tired of the drama. That’s when the husbands started arguing. Marty told Joe that Margaret was “jealous” of Danielle and that “Margaret doesn’t wanna walk into a room with Danielle because nobody will look at Margaret.” Joe did not take that too well, and Joe Gorga stepped in to prevent him from punching Marty. What the hell, right? The Real Housewives of New Jersey continues Wednesdays on Bravo. View Slideshow: Teresa Giudice: Filing For Divorce Once Joe Gets Deported?!
It was the end of the line for Danielle Staub on Wednesday’s episode of The Real Housewives of New Jersey. Margaret Josephs who has long advocated for Danielle to be part of the group decided enough was enough, and that their friendship was at breaking point. Instead of getting into another altercation, Margaret opted to send a text to end her friendship with the former series regular, effectively cutting her out of the action. “She’s wacko,” Margaret complained to her co-stars, before going on to reveal how the text exchange played out, and it was as ugly as you would expect. “I wish you a happy life. Never speak to me again,” Margaret said to Melissa Gorga and show newcomer Jackie Goldschneider as she skimmed her phone for the damning messages. “I can’t believe you’re this person, shame on you,” Danielle fired back before going on to wish Margaret a happy mother’s day. While that final act sounds like Danielle’s way of being nice, it was not. If you watch The Real Housewives of New Jersey online , you know that Margaret hasn’t had the best relationship with her kids. She has been vocal about the breakdown of her previous marriage leading to a decline in communication between her and her ex-husband’s children. It was a typical Danielle move, but at least Margaret was wise enough to let the snake down gently by SMS. Hell, Danielle was out for blood on last week’s installment when the two Joe’s got talking about her intentions with her then-husband. “I didn’t answer. We’re done. We’re never having this fight again,” Margaret said to the women after spilling the beans. “Denial is a real thing, and she f***ing is Cleopatra,” she said with a smirk. As for the other relationship that was on the rocks, that was Teresa Giudice and Jackie Goldschneider. Giudice was ready for a war of words. That’s what happens when you bring her family into your petty squabbles, Jackie. “I’m definitely not intimidated by Teresa. I just hope it’s not another scream-fest,” Jackie fretted before a one-on-one meeting with her nemesis. “What you did to me is not excusable,” said Jackie of their previous bust-up, adding: “I don’t get spoken to like that; I’m a grown woman, I have a lot of self-respect … I was like, ‘What the f***?'” “Listen, you came at me first,” Teresa shot back. But Jackie went on to imply that she and Teresa had something in common. Her father was in jail, and her mother was under house arrest. “We used to laugh about it,” Jackie said, clearly trying to make light of the situation. “I’m living it right now,” Teresa said. “My kids live with it every day. And it really hurts them that their father is not here.” “I did not mean to hurt you, and for that I am sorry,” Jackie ultimately said, with Teresa accepting. “Believe me, I’ve gotten more Namaste – I used to be a little bit crazier. So that was calm for me when I’m p***ed,” Teresa said to close off the argument. While Margaret was washing her hands of Danielle, she didn’t realize she was gearing up for another big fight. Teresa later told the ladies that Jennifer Aydin’s brother and his soon-to-be wife “knew each other for two weeks and now they’re getting engaged.” “Ok, that’s a little crazy,” Margaret said laughing. Teresa said it’s part of the culture and that “they don’t sleep with each other and you get to know them when you marry them,'” “What happens if he was a dud? That’s a life of torture,” continued Margaret, adding: “Oh come on, he met her in Turkey? She could be mail order.” SHOT. FIRED. Teresa told Jennifer all about it and the latter said to Margaret: “I can’t relate to people who have affairs with married people.” This is the season of the feud, and we’re living for it! Colton Underwood is a virgin. Did you know that? ABC continued to hype this fact about its Season 23 star on the three-hour premiere episode Monday night, which featured Colton kissing two women and sending home seven more. “I’m the first virgin Bachelor and it’s crazy to even think about that,” Underwood said early on. “I couldn’t be more hopeful and excited.” Did his 30 suitors feel the same way, however? How did they approach the fact that he's never slid his throbbing unit inside of any private parts? Scroll down for everything you ever wanted to know about this lengthy season premiere — and visit our section of The Bachelor spoilers to see who actually wins… 1. Ready to Meet the Ladies After the usual kind of introduction — which, yes, focused heavily on both Colton’s former football career and his virginity – Chris met up with Colton outside of the mansion to meet his many suitors. 2. They Were Ready to Swipe That V Card “If I was the person that Colton gave his virginity to, I would definitely bring out all the tricks,” said Onyeka, an IT risk consultant from Dallas, Texas, at one point. 3. Et Tu, Demi? Added this suitor: “I know that he’s a virgin, which is kind of concerning. If you only ever have a vanilla cupcake, well how do you know you don’t like chocolate? How do you know you don’t like strawberry? I feel like you have to try out all the cupcakes first to know what you really want. I’m the damn confetti cake.” 4. Okay. On to the Arrivals! There was Caelynn — who currently holds the title of Miss North Carolina 2018 – wore her sash and everything! 5. Yup, She’s a Sloth There was Alex D., who dressed in a head-to-toe sloth costume (because Colton likes to take things “slowly.” Really. This was her reasoning.) and was so very into it that her arrival took up about half the premiere. 6. Pulled Over for Lameness There was Tracy, who showed up in a cop cruise because she was the self-proclaimed fashion police. Wow, huh? The sloth costume may have made more sense. View Slideshow
