Tina Fey ‘Innovents’ New Ways To Give NBC the Middle Finger on 30 Rock

You’ve really got to hand it to Tina Fey. While you would think that jokes about NBC are in the “What’s the deal with airplane food?” stage of comedy at this point, she continues to find new and exciting ways to wet willy her bosses — like reducing the Leno/Conan war to a shift debate between two janitors.

South Park Creators: ‘We Cannot Stand Behind Censored Muhammad Episode’

When Comedy Central aired last night’s episode of South Park — which, in spite of death threats by radical Muslim groups , picked up where last week’s Muhammad-in-a-bear-costume installment left off — fans were surprised to hear Muhammad’s name bleeped. Were creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone just poking fun at the Muslim culture with some kind of meta-censorship joke? Or was the network taking extra measures to protect themselves in light of the recent threats? Click through for the official explanation from Parker and Stone.

What’s On: 30 Rock Restages ConanGate with Janitors

Earlier this month while promoting Date Night overseas, Tina Fey spilled the beans on an upcoming 30 Rock episode that would boldly parody the very late night disaster that shock 30 Rock ‘s network just months before. Tonight, Fey & Co. deliver with that eagerly-awaited episode “Khonani” as well as a bonus installment at 8:30 PM. An hour of new 30 Rock should counteract everything unfunny happening on tonight’s Marriage Ref , right?

Gabourey Sidibe’s SNL Promos: Love Letters in the Samberg

New promos have been released for Gabourey Sidibe’s hosting gig on Saturday Night Live this week, and they accomplish a number of things: 1) They stave off Howard Stern’s pesky doubts about her future . 2) They prove this show could be fun — unlike, say, last week’s episode , and 3) They pair Sidibe with Andy Samberg and reference Precious in a fun way, even if they neglect to mention the Kabletown title Fresh-Ass: Based on the Novel Tush by Assfire.

American Idol Recap: Who ‘Inspired’ Us Most?

Last night, American Idol battered us with selections from its most syrupy set list yet: Inspirational Songs. Run, Bowersox! Rod Stewart wouldn’t touch half of this nonsense in a “Great American Songbook” package, and lord, that says it all. Still, we got seven performances, seven consultations with the catatonic Alicia Keys, and one obvious winner. Our rankings and video after the jump.

Gleebasing: Schue Empowers the Classes, Madonna-Style

Ryan Murphy must have cut last night’s hit of Glee with something wicked. How else do you explain the “Ray of Light” cheerleading routine on stilts , Kurt’s Don Knotts wardrobe and Artie’s usage of the phrase, “If you want to get all up on this.” After the jump, Movieline recounts the the highs, analyzes the low notes and determines which numbers were just bad hallucinations. And pay attention — there will be a pop quiz.
