What’s On: Glee-for-All

We’re in for a freakishly resplendent season of Glee , complete with insane cameos (Gwyneth Paltrow, anyone? Barry Bostwick, anyone?) and more romance, melodrama, and harmony than a Fleetwood Mac coke bender. Elsewhere on TV, Detroit 1-8-7 proceeds with procedural flair, The Biggest Loser gets educational, and Dancing with the Stars loses a star.

Chris Colfer Checks in with Movieline about Glee’s Second Season, Enya, and His Favorite Scene

For a droll 20-year-old with an old-fashioned sense of poise and wit, Chris Colfer is a surprisingly great fit on TV’ s most up-to-date phenomenon, Glee . The Emmy nominee stopped and chatted with us about shooting the series’ second season, his picks for the Super Bowl “mystery artist” episode, and his favorite film scene ever.

Lone Star Gets Devoured in the Ratings

Despite near unanimous praise — and Movieline’s approval — a paltry 4 million viewers tuned in to watch the series premiere of Lone Star last night, which is a shame for anyone who likes good network television and not fat jokes . Speaking of which, Mike & Molly was viewed by over 12 million people making it the biggest premiere of the night and moving us one step closer to the end of days. Good choices, everyone! [ HitFix ]

SNL Hater Kanye West Heads to SNL

This could be awkward. Professional Twitterer Kanye West will appear on the Bryan Cranston-hosted episode Saturday Night Live as musical guest, which wouldn’t be a problem if his single “Power,” didn’t put the entire program on full blast . “F*** SNL and the whole cast,” Kanye raps on the song. “Tell ’em Yeezy said they can kiss my whole ass.” Well, then. Meanwhile, I’m just crestfallen that yet another “surprise” about the new season of Saturday Night Live has been spoiled . [ Futon Critic ]

Remember When SNL Hosts Were a Glorious Surprise?

The hits just keep on coming for Saturday Night Live . If we’re to believe RadarOnline.com — and forgive me for digging out my trusty grain of salt — Lindsay Lohan is “confirmed” to host SNL on Dec. 4. She joins the already announced Amy Poehler, Bryan Cranston, Jane Lynch, Emma Stone and Jon Hamm as planned hosts for season 36. So far, so good. Except there’s only one problem with knowing this information so far in advance: It ruins the surprise.

Late Night Highlights: Jon Hamm Talks Superman, Team Stewart/Colbert Announce DC Rally

The date Oct. 30 had special significance in yesterday’s P.M. programming. For starters, Jon Hamm discussed his Saturday Night Live hosting gig taking place on that date — and then addressed those ugly Superman rumors . Elsewhere, Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert announced that they will be storming the National Mall on the same day to host a rally in the nation’s capital. Meanwhile, in unrelated late night news, Ben Affleck reunited with Jimmy Kimmel and William Shatner made Craig Ferguson uncomfortable by talking at length about cigars.
