The numbers are in and, to the surprise of absolutely no one, Taylor Swift sold many albums over the past seven days. “Red” moved 1.2 million copies in its first week of release, the highest total for any CD since Eminem’s “The Eminem Show” in 2002. The album is also the first one to break the one-million mark since Lady Gaga and “Born This Way” in 2011, according to Billboard, and is the second-largest debut for a female artist ever, following the sale of 1.319 million copies of Britney Spears’ “Oops! …I Did It Again” in 2000. In other words: peeps love themselves some Taylor Swift! Swift, meanwhile, continues to promote the heck out of “Red.” She sang her breakout hit about never getting back together with a certain someone on Dancing with the Stars last night.
Cat Woman and Aaron Cross will take to the Saturday Night Live stage next month. The iconic sketch comedy show announced today that Anne Hathaway and Jeremy Renner will host the program’s November 10 and November 17 episodes, respectively. It will mark the actor’s first time as emcee and Hathaway’s third go-around. Joining the Les Miserables star will be musical guest Rihanna (in promotion of her album ” Unapologetic “), while Adam Levine and Maroon 5 will join Renner. While Marina makes the acquaintance of a priest and fellow exile (Bardem), who is struggling with his vocation, Neil renews a relationship with a childhood sweetheart, Jane (McAdams). Bold and lyrical, the film is a moving, gorgeously shot exploration of love in its many forms. Magnolia Pictures, which picked up U.S. rights to the Terrence Malick-directed feature, plans a 2013 theatrical release. Generation Um… Heads to U.S. and Canadian Theaters The film is set at the end of another night out sets the stage for an intimate unfolding of the relationships John, Violet and Mia have, with each other and the city around them. Phase 4 Films which picked up U.S. and Canadian rights to the film plans a Spring 2013 release. Thor actress Jaimie Alexander was sidelined after something on set of the Marvel sequel went wrong, Thor: The Dark World . “Today I sustained a pretty horrible injury,” Tweeted the erstwhile superhuman warrioress Lady Sif on Monday. “I’m lucky I’m not paralyzed. Thank you (with all of my heart) to those who’ve looked after me.” Alexander kept her Twitter following updated as she underwent treatment for the as-yet undisclosed injury. Her name: Pearl Osbourne arrived weighing 8 pounds and 6 ounces, according to a Hello magazine tweet that was re-tweeted by Jack and then other sites. “Well @lisamarstelly is supposed to give birth to our baby tomorrow,” the 25-year-old father tweeted last week. Guess Pearl knew how to be fashionably late! “Still pregnant,” the 26-year-old new (but exasperated) mama tweeted Friday. “Apparently I made too lovely of a home int here! #overit #comeonbaby.” But at last, she made it. “Thank you all so much for your congratulations but they realy [sic] should be gonig to @lisamarstelly & @mrjacko!
