MDNA will likely sell up to 350,000 copies in its first week, according to Billboard. The Material Girl is poised to have the #1 album on the Billboard albums chart next week. MDNA is estimated to sell between 300,000 and 350,000 copies by the end of the tracking week (Sunday), according to Billboard . The album, which dropped on March 26, marks Madonna’s fifth consecutive studio album to land in the top spot. She’s had a total of eight #1 albums in her career. 2008’s Hard Candy, her last studio album, debuted with 280,000 units sold, meaning that Madonna will once again even top herself with MDNA if the numbers shake out as expected. For the album, Madonna reunited with her Ray of Light producer William Orbit, as well as other electronic-music producers like Martin Solveig and Benny Benassi, creating an album that ranges from hard-hitting dance tracks to lighthearted pop affairs. Madge’s record sales were reinforced thanks to a joint album/ concert-ticket sale venture through which fans were offered the chance to purchase the release along with tickets to her highly anticipated world tour. But Madonna isn’t the only 1980s superstar expected to sit high atop the Billboard 200 next week. Lionel Richie’s Tuskegee should place at #2 with 125,000 to 150,000 albums sold. The album features re-workings of some of Richie’s biggest tunes with the assistance of country stars like Shania Twain and Blake Shelton. Billboard points out the last time Madge and Richie were in the top five together was in October 1986 when Richie was at #1 with Dancing on the Ceiling while the Queen of Pop’s onetime #1 True Blue was settled at #5. Justin Bieber’s own big release, his new single “Boyfriend,” which also dropped Monday, is also expected to have a big week on the charts. According to early estimates, the lead Believe single could sell more than 400,000 downloads in its first week, giving it a big push on next week’s Billboard Hot 100 chart. Nas and Kelis jumped the broom in 2005 after a courtship that included video cameos and public declarations of love. But the split between the rap legend and his R&B wife four years later was just as public and all too ugly. As the expectant “Milkshake” singer accused her husband of abandoning her mid-pregnancy in legal filings, allegations of infidelity burned up the blogs. Things got “crazy,” the pride of Queensbridge, New York, said on Wednesday’s “RapFix Live.” The divorce thrust Nas into the New York tabloids, where he was alternately painted as the victim of a gold-digging star and a cheater who callously hid the ATM cards with a baby on the way. Having stayed mostly mum over the years, Nas was ready to tell Sway his side. ”Life is crazy,” the famously private MC said. “I [wound] up paying more money to baby mommas than what some of my rap brothers and sistren make.” At the time, several outlets reported that Kelis was seeking about $45,000 a month in child and spousal support from the father of two, daughter Destiny from a previous relationship and son Knight with the “Bossy” singer. The figure was formally reduced last year by a court to a $25,000 month, but the scrutiny left Nas scarred. “I’ve always been away from too much limelight and that right there put me in your — no one’s exempt from people probing into your life once you get into the game,” he conceded. “So [the divorce] put a lot of my business out there, man. People weren’t thinking I was making that kind of money, and now they knew.” The handsome single rapper — a record number of MTV’s female staffers suddenly turned up on set this week — paused to reflect on what advice he’d give to a newly engaged couple. He looked away, the “God’s Son” tattoo on his neck visible for a split second, before responding. ”Man, if you’re happy,” he sighed and then paused again. “Love is a beast. Hold on, be prepared for any way it may go, and be honest.” Nas’ tax woes have also made the front page, but he declined to discuss the topic, promising instead to confront it on Life Is Good. Of course, it’s been more than four years since Nasty Nas dropped a solo full-length. And the multiplatinum lyrical legend has teased fans with spotty output. Still, the 39-year-old has impressed with recent features like Rick Ross’ “Triple Beam Dreams” and tracks like this month’s dancehall-flavored “The Don,” which managed to slay rap purists and trend on Twitter. But more important, these were signals that a release might be in the offing. He’s a bad mamma jamma … Charles Barkley recently stuffed himself into a dress for an ad for Weight Watchers in which he pledges to do anything necessary to get the attention of men looking to lose weight: Charles Barkley admitted that his weight had gotten out of hand and turned to Weight Watchers to try to lose weight. “I’ve always joked and complained about my home state of Alabama being fat,” Barkley, the studio analyst for Turner Network Television’s NBA coverage, told Page 2 a few months ago. “Well, I forgot that I was fat.” Barkley started the program in the fall and now has lost 42 pounds. Starting in April, Barkley will unveil a new set of TV commercials and here’s a first look at a photo in the ads. In the “Lose Like a Man” campaign, Barkley provides commentary on topics including the “man food” he is never deprived of, reasons why guys don’t diet, dieting on your own and being a role model. “You can’t give fat people small meals and think they’ll stick to the plan,” Barkley said. “I had to learn how to change my eating habits. Let’s be real: You see anyone who gets fat eating fruits and vegetables? Chad OchoCinco Redoes Deal To Stay With New England Patriots Evelyn might need to get him a full-time gig on Basketball Wives until their spinoff airs: New England Patriots wide receiver Chad Ochocinco agreed to restructure his contract for the coming season, lowering his base salary to $1 million from the $3 million he had been scheduled to earn, according to a league source. The restructured deal ensures that Ochocinco will be returning to Patriots training camp this summer. The paperwork on the contract is expected to be turned in to the NFL Players Association this week. Ochocinco, 34, struggled in his first season with the Patriots after being acquired in a trade with the Cincinnati Bengals, catching just 15 passes for 276 yards and a touchdown. The Patriots have added many new faces at the receiver position this offseason too, agreeing to deals with Brandon Lloyd, Donte’ Stallworth and Anthony Gonzalez. After Bieber allegedly tweeted nine digits of a Texas phone number, two local residents are threatening legal action. By James Montgomery Justin Bieber Photo: Kevin Mazur/WireImage Earlier this month, Justin Bieber decided to have a little fun with his 19 million Twitter followers when he posted a mysterious phone number and told them “call me right now.” In the tweet — which has since been deleted (but can be seen here … with the number blocked out) — Bieber included just nine digits of a Texas number, leaving the true Beliebers to figure out the rest … which, not surprisingly, caused some headaches for folks who had similar numbers. And now, two of them reportedly have threatened legal action. According to TMZ , a pair of Texas residents (a woman named Dilcie and a man named Kent) have hired an attorney, claiming that since the tweet, their phones have been ringing non-stop. And they’re seeking compensation from Bieber for his “reckless” behavior. The attorney tells the site that her clients received more than 1,000 phone calls from Bieber fans, at all hours of the day, and their patience “wears thin.” So they’re looking for restitution, which could come in any number of forms: An apology from JB himself, concert tickets for Dilcie’s grandchildren, an endorsement for Kent’s “upcoming online project,” or — of course — cold, hard cash. Kent, who doesn’t want his last name to be revealed, subsequently told ABC News that he’s had his number for 20 years, and he doesn’t want to change it just because of Bieber. Of course, there is a question about whether Justin’s initial tweets were even authentic, or if his account was somehow hacked. Bobby Brown Arrested For Driving Under The Influence If you thought Bobby Brown’s legal problems were a thing of the past, think again. According to TMZ reports : Bobby Brown has just been arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence in Los Angeles … TMZ has learned. Law enforcement sources tell TMZ, Bobby was pulled over in Reseda, CA at 12:20 PM PST for allegedly driving while talking on a cell phone. We’re told 43-year-old Bobby is currently in custody in Van Nuys jail. It’s unclear what substance cops believe Brown had been using before he got behind the wheel. Whitney Houston’s ex-husband already has a DUI conviction on his record stemming from an arrest in Georgia in 1996. He eventually pled guilty to DUI and served 8 days in jail.
