Eric Benet and his pretty multi-culti boo Manuela Testolini jumped the broom quietly yesterday. And while they managed to keep their broom jumping ceremony on the low, a couple of their friends were all a twitter. As a matter of fact, Shaun Robinson is the only reason we even have the wedding pic above, which she tweeted along with: But long before that, she and Niecy Nash kept the updates coming.
Cyrus tweeted a photo of her equal-sign tattoo over the weekend, prompting debate among fans regarding gay rights. By Jocelyn Vena Miley Cyrus’ new equal rights tattoo Photo: Miley Cyrus’ Twitter Miley Cyrus has never shied away from speaking her mind, and over the weekend she posted a photo of her latest body ink on Twitter : an equal-sign tattoo on her middle finger. In addition to sharing with the world her pro-gay rights stance via tat, she tweeted the message, “All LOVE is equal.” However, the photo quickly prompted a debate on her Twitter account when fans began to respond to Miley’s tattoo with mixed feelings. “Where does it say in the bible to judge others? Oh right. It doesn’t,” Miley tweeted to one fan who questioned her belief in God after displaying her support of the gay community. “GOD is the only judge honey. GOD is love.” But when her fans began attacking the fan who questioned her, Miley defended her for sharing her opinion with the world. “Dude everyone lay off … Love u! Everyone is entitled 2 opinions! If u don’t stand 4 something you’ll fall for anything.” Her Twitter profile shares a similar message: “Let your light shine. Be a source of strength & courage. Share your wisdom. RADIATE LOVE.” This isn’t the first time that Miley’s sharing her beliefs on Twitter has sparked debate. In a Parade magazine interview in March 2010, Cyrus said that one of the reasons she had quit Twitter for a time was that she was getting angry tweets from fans who didn’t agree with her support of gay marriage. She returned to Twitter earlier this year. “There has been so much controversy sometimes about what I’ve said or done because I believe there are no mistakes, because God is the only one who can judge us,” Cyrus explained. “That’s the reason I deleted my Twitter account because I said on there that I believed in gay marriage because everyone should have the right to love each other, and I got such hate mail about my being a bad person.” What do you think of Miley’s outspoken support of marriage equality and gay rights? No matter what you think of the Casey Anthony verdict , it’s clear this is a wise move. The 25-year-old will seek treatment for serious mental issues. As such, the acquitted murder suspect won’t be sitting down with ABC, NBC, CBS or any other network for an interview in the foreseeable future. Guilty or not, she needs to receive professional help ASAP. Sources say Casey is seeking treatment for three reasons: She realizes her questionable behavior when daughter Caylee Anthony went missing in 2008 stemmed from “obvious mental health issues.” She needs help coping with the “obvious trauma of losing her child.” She spent nearly three years in solitary confinement in a Florida jail. That’s 23 hours a day in a cramped cell, with death row looming if she were convicted of murder. A source close to Casey says “It messed with her head.” When she’s healthy, Anthony will have the final word on where and how her story will be told. Attorney Jose Baez will continue to field offers .
The Real Housewives of New York City just wrapped up yet another dramatic season. But might it have been a tad TOO dramatic? Insiders say the life on set reached a new low this year, from insulting Tweets to Moroccan brawls to incidents not seen on camera. “Things have gotten so bad that producers are worried that this cast can no longer film together,” a source says“All the ladies have long memories and will not let the smallest thing go. The level of hatred at the moment is so high that it’s toxic and all consuming… it’s just petty and sad.” One particular source of contention? A blogger has been bashing the heck out of Jill Zarin, but multiple co-stars have actually befriended this individual, creating serious tension, a friend of Jill’s tells The Huffington Post : “This sort of behavior should be rejected by all the cast members, no matter how hot disagreements get on the show. It has stopped being a TV fight and is now a real life battle that is unacceptable.” Might it lead to significant cast upheaval? We’ll keep you informed.
Police shut down the event after Kaskade announced his free show on Twitter. By Gil Kaufman Police closure of Hollywood Blvd during the ‘Electric Daisy Carnival’ July 27, 2011 Photo: FilmMagic An impromptu street rave announced on Twitter to celebrate the Hollywood screening of a documentary about the Electric Daisy Carnival nearly turned into a riot on Wednesday night when police attempted to disperse a huge crowd that gathered on a downtown street. Popular electronic musician Kaskade tweeted about a special DJ set earlier in the day, telling fans to gather at 6 p.m. in front of Grauman’s Chinese Theatre, promising, “Me+BIG SPEAKERS+MUSIC=BLOCK PARTY!!! RT!” The show was intended to celebrate the debut of the rave documentary “Electric Daisy Carnival Experience.” But when hundreds of dancers converged on the invitation-only premiere and began throwing bottles and other objects at police, who were trying to disperse them, officers in riot gear responded in force, according to the Los Angeles Times . While invited guests tried to get into the screening, thousands of non-ticketed dance fans converged en masse and ran up against police, who were trying to clear Hollywood Boulevard for the premiere. According to The Hollywood Reporter , the near-riot happened when the street dancers ignored warnings from cops that Kaskade’s set had been canceled and that they should disperse. Even after Kaskade sent out some follow-up tweets telling fans to “chill” and leave the area, officers were forced to push crowds away from the Grauman’s entrance, setting off the clashes. The movie, directed by video legend Kevin Kerslake, chronicles the 2010 edition of the massive music festival, with interviews from such stars as Kaskade, David Guetta and Steve Aoki. The EDC moved to Las Vegas this year after the widely reported crowd-control problems and drug-related death of a 15-year-old girl at the 2010 show. LAPD officers detained dozens of revelers after the melee, with most of them eventually released without charge. Two people were arrested on suspicion of felony vandalism in connection with damage to police cars. Related Artists Kaskade

Singer tweets that ‘it’s a huge bummer waiting’ but fans can expect new music soon. By Gil Kaufman Kelly Clarkson Photo: Mike Ehrmann/Getty Images By now, Kelly Clarkson fans have gotten used to the hurry-up-and-wait status of her new album. Release dates for singles have come and gone, her frustration about the long release process has flared at times and a slow trickle of never-before-heard songs has leaked online over the past month. But Clarkson gave fans reason to hope on Thursday when she posted a series of tweets that made it sound as if her eagerly anticipated fifth album is getting closer to seeing the light of day. Still, as has frequently been the case with Clarkson lately, it was a mix of good and bad news. “Also, just found out my single is hitting radio in August!” she tweeted Thursday afternoon. “Woohoo! It’s sounds great as well! Can’t wait for y’all to hear it!” Fans were understandably excited about the imminent release of the unnamed tune but an hour later, Clarkson said she may have misspoken a bit. “Okay please do not get angry but it might be September for my single,” she wrote . “My calendar was messed up! I’m so sorry! BUT it might be late August! It’s a huge bummer waiting but I promise it’ll be worth it! Stupid technology!!” Though disappointed, fans told Clarkson it was no biggie, saying it was worth the wait. “If people can wait till Nov. for ‘Breaking Dawn,’ I bet they can wait a few months for your new single,” one fan wrote. The original “American Idol,” who at one point described the new songs as “Garbage-meets-pop-meets-Muse,” has long expressed her desire to go in a more rock direction and she appeared headed that way on the follow-up to 2009’s All I Ever Wanted. ” In October, Clarkson told fans on Twitter that she expected a single out by early 2011, teased a pair of duets with unnamed co-singers and said it might include two songs by her musical director and “Never Again” co-writer Jason Halbert. The album obviously missed its initial late-2010 release date, and by February Clarkson was talking up other influences, such as Prince, Tina Turner, Radiohead, Sheryl Crow and Aretha Franklin , and hitting the studio with producer Rodney Jerkins . In early February she announced, with a bit of consternation, that the ywet-untitled album was finished, but had been pushed back until September . Then, earlier this month, three songs that are reportedly slated for the album leaked, just a week after another new tune, the rocking, “Let Me Down,” surfaced online. The new songs, which were quickly scrubbed from the Internet, included the angsty “Let Me Down,” the ballad “Forgive You” and the pop rocker “Dumb + Dumb = You.” Are you looking forward to Kelly’s next album?
