Black Excellence: NFL Player Responds To FB Comments Trashing Black Women As “Not Coachable”

Redskins Player Lynden Trail Clears Up Misconceptions Over Facebook Post Things went horribly wrong for Redskins baller Lynden Trail this week after he posted a hot button topic as a Facebook status: Why Do Black Athletes With Money Marry White Women ? The subject is obviously nothing new — isht, y’all fight everyday in the comments over this same topic, but Lynden was unjustly targeted when a Dolphins player self-hating c00n responded with some pretty harsh words about black women. #Redskins Lyndon Antonio Trail asked his followers “Why do black athletes marry white women?” This is how a #MiamiDolphins player responded pic.twitter.com/zfO9Dvz9bO — BallerAlert (@balleralert) March 16, 2017 You can see Rick’s wife a little more clearly in the shot on the second page. ( Maserati Rick’s actually been outed as a fake btw. A catfish who does not play in the NFL!) As you might imagine — Lynden Trail’s notifications went up in flames on social media. But the HBCU educated baller, who is engaged to a black queen, kept calm and simply posted THIS in response: For all of the people coming to my page thinking I wrote those comments Reread! And then look at my family Black Black Black ✌ ✌ ✌ pic.twitter.com/xWgwe4HtMk — TEAMTRAIL✊7⃣ (@LyndenTrail7) March 16, 2017 What a lovely black family right? Now obviously Lynden shouldn’t have to do such a thing to defend himself. Also, he clearly states his own opinion when he posted the question in the first place — the color of the woman shouldn’t matter — it’s her behavior and how she treats her man. That said, Lynden’s lady is obviously doing a great job because he went on to dedicate several more tweets to her and his daughter. Hit the flip to see. Instagram/Twitter

G.O.M.D: Muhammad Ali Jr. Detained AGAIN By Customs 2 Weeks After Interrogation Over Muslim Name

Muhammad Ali Jr. Was Again Detained Over His Muslim Name As He Was Leaving D.C. It’s been exactly 14 days since Muhammad Ali Jr was accosted by immigration authorities at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport after returning from Jamaica with his mother. Ali was interrogated for 20 minutes over his religion and name. Today, the AP is reporting that Ali was AGAIN stopped and questioned by authorities who wanted to confirm is true identity prior to letting him onto the flight. Ironically, Ali was stopped as he was leaving Washington, D.C. following a meeting with lawmakers about his experience being detained and question LAST month in Fort Lauderdale! This s#!t has gotten out of con-f**king-trol! Says the family lawyer Chris Mancini: “None of this was happening Wednesday,” Mancini said in a telephone interview Friday afternoon as he was traveling with the Alis. “Going to Washington obviously opened up a can of worms at DHS.” Florida Democratic Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz just happened to be aboard Ali’s flight and had some comments about his poor treatment on Twitter: On way home on DOMESTIC FLIGHT Muhammad Ali Jr. detained AGAIN by @DHSgov . Religiously profiling son of 'The Greatest' will not make us safe pic.twitter.com/KO3IVnRFax — D Wasserman Schultz (@DWStweets) March 10, 2017 F**k Donald Trump and everybody who loves him. Josh Murray & Amanda Stanton: We’re Working Things Out!

Even if you’ve never been there, you probably have a friend who has: Sometimes a relationship starts too fast in the beginning, and falls apart just as quickly, but while everyone on the outside can see that it just wasn’t meant to be, neither of the parties involved can let it go. That’s the situation that Josh Murray and Amanda Stanton find themselves in, and sadly, it seems they’re not yet willing to give on their lifeless corpse of a relationship. The first hint that Murray and Stanton are back together came last month, when the couple was spotted out and about together in LA. Shortly thereafter, Murray seemed to confirm the reconciliation with a series of cryptic tweets about the joys of staying in an unhealthy relationship. “Crazies stick with crazies #breakovermorepackingtodo,” Murray tweeted at one point. In case you missed it, Murray and Stanton got engaged after hitting it off on The Bachelor in Paradise, ABC’s social experiment designed to determine if couples are more likely to get married if they meet in a hot climate while drunk on Mai Tais. To the surprise of literally no one (probably including the couple themselves) Josh and Amanda broke up shortly thereafter. Now, however, Josh says he and Amanda are serious about patching things up” “I wouldn’t say we’re back together, but we’re working on things right now,” he said on The Domenik Nati Show. “There’s a lot of things that happened, there were a lot of struggles… For me, I know when I’m in a relationship I want to be with somebody who’s my best friend, who I can trust, who I can be with all the time. We have to get to that point for anything to work out.” He added: “After the show, it was very difficult, just how everything was shown and portrayed. “We had a great time, we fell in love, we thought everything was great, and then it was tough during the season.” “So we kind of had to fight an uphill battle for a little while, and it wasn’t an easy thing to do. But right now, we saw each other about a week ago back in Los Angeles, and there’s a lot of things we need to talk about.” But don’t thinking that Josh is open to the idea of reconciling with any of his other exes. Asked if he would consider giving his relationship with Andi Dorfman another chance, Stanton was firm in his response: “Absolutely not,” there’s no chance,” he replied. “I really could care less about even talking to her again. He added: “When I ended that relationship a while ago, that was the last time I spoke with her and I don’t intend to do that again.” It’s good that Josh knows his limits. You should really try to stick on one ill-advised reconciliation at a time. Best of luck, you crazy kids!

Van Jones Praises Trump Speech, Twitter Explodes at CNN Pundit

CNN's Van Jones is a frequent Trump critic if there ever was one, but even he had to give it up to the POTUS after his speech last night. One portion of Trump's address to Congress in particular wowed Jones to tears, leading him to say Trump “became president” in that moment. Seriously. That happened! Jones said Trump's tribute to Navy SEAL Ryan Owens, who died in a raid in Yemen, was when he “became President of the United States.”  Trump's handling of the aforementioned raid on a terrorist compound has been questioned, but Owens' heroism is impossible to dispute. “One of the most extraordinary moments you have ever seen in American politics, period,” Jones called it, clearly taken aback emotionally. During Trump's remarks to U.S. lawmakers and guests, cameras trained on Owens' widow, Carryn, with tears streaming down her face. Facing her, Trump said her husband's legacy was “etched into eternity,” and Carryn received a standing ovation from all of Congress. Plenty of critics suggested that the President acknowledged her husband's bravery as an exploitative tactic, but Jones wasn't buying it. “There are a lot of people who have a lot of reason to be frustrated with him, to be fearful of him,” the CNN pundit said of the POTUS. “But that was one of the most extraordinary moments you have ever seen in American politics, period. And he did something extraordinary.” “And for people who have been hoping that he would become unifying, hoping that he might find some way to become presidential? “They should be happy with that moment.” “For people who have been hoping that maybe he would remain a divisive cartoon, which he often finds a way to do,” Jones said … watch out. “They should begin to become a little bit worried tonight,” Van said, because for the first time, Trump was a unifying figure on stage. “Because that thing you just saw him do, if he finds a way to do that over and over again, he's going to be there for eight years.” “Now, there was a lot that he said in that speech that was counterfactual, that was not right, that I oppose. I will oppose,” Jones cautioned. “But he did something tonight that you cannot take away from him” in that moment, and “he became president of the United States.” Again, much remains to be sorted out when it comes to the raid in Yemen, which the White House has asserted was a complete success. That is a stretch, as many things disseminated from Sean Spicer and company are, but blindly blaming Donald Trump is equally dubious. His administration's actions, and assessment after the fact, have been called into question by intelligence officials, as well they should be. But it's not as if a war widow has never been honored in such a way, or that military ops under other administrations were always smooth. Jones critics on the left absolutely tore him a new one on Twitter after his praise of Trump, baffled that he would dare say such a thing. Perhaps they miss the point somewhat in doing so. Van clearly opposes Trump on policy, a.k.a. 95% of the substance of his speech, and vigorously so. But attitude and optics count for a lot. “Watch this dude,” Jones told Anderson Cooper on his home network, because Democrats could have “a much bigger problem” now than a day ago. Check out Jones' reaction to Trump below:

We Will Never Forget That Moonlight Won Best Picture

Last night will certainly go down as one of thee most memorable Oscars ever! Not because of any incredible speeches. Though we heard those. (Looking at you Viola!) Not because there was a huge upset and disappointment (though Denzel was robbed) and not because Three-Six Mafia won the Oscar for best song. No, the 2017 Oscars will go down in history as the most memorable because of a mistake— a huge one. The Academy, as a safety precaution, prints two sets of cards. And while Emma Stone was given her Actress in a leading role envelope, so was Warren Beatty the presenter of Best Picture. If you saw the moment live last night, you saw Warren pull out the paper and look inside the envelope to see if there was another one inside it. We thought he was joking, trying to stall for time. But that wasn’t the case. He realized that the card was not right and handed it over to actress Faye Dunaway for her assistance. Well, Dunaway didn’t think too much about the fact that Emma’s name was on the card. She said La La Land and the cast, crew, directors and producers started piling up on the stage to accept their golden man. [ madamenoire ] The Secret To Viola Davis’ Glowing Skin Is Something You Already Have At Home When you see Viola Davis on a red carpet, it’s hard to know where to look first– the beautiful bright gowns she wears, her perfectly styled hair, or that gorgeous smile of hers. But the one place our eyes always settle is on her skin. And that’s on purpose. When Davis was asked about her style after this year’s SAG Awards she said her fashion goal is simple — “always trying to emphasize my skin…I just always want to celebrate my skin tone — and my boob-age.” And it turns out the product she uses to emphasize that beautiful brown skin of hers is something you and your mama likely already have at home: Vaseline. Yup, good old Vaseline Intensive Care Cocoa Radiant Lotion, made with 100% pure cocoa butter to keep dry elbows and dull skin at bay. Just one look at the photo below tells you the product is doing its job. Two days later, and all we’ve gotten from Ms. Minaj is deleted tweets toward Trey Songz and more Instagram posts. There are those—mostly “Barbs”—who feel that Nicki Minaj need not respond. That’s not how this Hip-Hop ish works. You want to be the Queen of Rap, you better handle your business when someone worthy comes for your neck. That said, there are those who say Remy isn’t worth a response since her bank account allegedly pales in comparison to the YMCMB Barbie’s. Again, that’s not how this Hip-Hop ish works.
