A few weeks ago a little birdy told us that Mona Scott was cooking up a new version of “Love and Hip-Hop” that had already begun filming in L.A. Our source told us that Teairra Mari and Ray J were among names discussed for the latest spinoff. We asked Ray J about the rumors when we interviewed him for the BMI Awards but he denied knowledge of the spinoff (you know how that goes). Well the tweets are now talking and apparently the newest version is indeed under works: Who would you want to see involved in a “Love & Hip-Hop LA”? Kate Bosworth and Michael Polish exchanged vows to become husband and wife in an intimate ceremony in Philipsburg, Montana on Saturday, August 31. The actress, 30, and film director Polish, 42, said “I do” in front of about 50-75 of their closest friends and family members at The Ranch at Rock Creek. The couple, who met on the set of 2011 film Big Sur, knew from the get-go that their relationship would be a lasting one, Bosworth told InStyle UK . “I never even dated my husband-to-be,” she said. “He said to me after a few weeks, before we were even together, ‘I’m going to marry you.’ He just knew.” Looks like he did indeed. Michael Polish proposed to Bosworth in August 2012 on a trip to South Korea and they made it official a year later. Congrats to the newlyweds!

Amanda Bynes is picking up right where she left off. On Twitter, that is. Yesterday, the hospitalized 27-year-old actress tweeted, “I love Drake.” It was her first Tweet since July 19, when she said “Drake is gorgeous.” The singular Tweet is still live and was sent from her official account. The brief, unexpected return to Twitter came one day after her doctors at UCLA Medical Center asked for and were granted an extended long-term hold . Amanda Bynes was hospitalized under an involuntary 5150 psychiatric hold back on July 22, and has been receiving mental health treatment ever since. Before that, Tweeting about Drake had been one of her favorite pastimes. The former child star made headlines March 21 when she wrote, ” I want Drake to murder my vagina ,” and talked about him countless other times. Drake never responded to the Tweets, though he is aware of them. “I don’t even know who is doing that or what that’s about,” the rapper told the August issue of XXL . “If that is her, I guess it’s a little weird and disturbing.” “It’s obviously a behavioral pattern that is way bigger than me.” Few would argue with that. Doctors say Bynes may need long-term hospitalization to treat her severe mental illness , though it’s unclear how long. Some reports have suggested up to a year at UCLA or a related facility, while others say she could move in with her mom in a month or two of she improves. We wish her the best in any case.

Cyndi Lauper has come out with the harshest rebuke yet of Miley Cyrus. Asked by Australian radio station Gold 104.3 for her thoughts on Miley’s VMA performance , the singer at first labeled it as a “sad” example of a “girl gone wild.” But the Tony nominee then zeroed on the tracks to which Cyrus Twerked alongside Robin Thicke and picked apart the lyrics of ” Blurred Lines .” “She’s in a song that literally says that the blurred lines allowed you to – when a woman says no, she means yes – and that’s frightful because that’s date rape,” said Lauper, adding: “I just felt like that was so beneath her and raunchy, really raunchy. It wasn’t even art.” Lauper is one of many who have expressed shock and horror at Miley’s antics, though the artist herself remains undeterred: She bragged soon afterward about how many Tweets per minute her routine brought in. Here is a look at others that are sort of in Miley’s corner: Billy Ray Cyrus : “She’s still my little girl and I’m still her dad regardless how this circus we call show business plays out. I love her unconditionally and that will never change.” Justin Timberlake : “It’s the VMAs. What did you guys expect?. I like Miley. I like her a lot. I think, you know, she’s young. Barack Obama, Katy Perry Tweets It began when Perry, an Obama supporter, re-tweeted his message to get affordable healthcare starting October 1, and he was very appreciative. “Thanks for spreading the word. #ROAR,” Obama responded. Katy said, “Happy to do my part, PREZ!” Later, she added: “YO what a day! #ROAR-ing @ the #VMAs, Tweeting w/POTUS, & now happy to announce U chose #DARKHORSE FT @therealjuicyj to come out Sept 17th!” That would be her fan-chosen next single, FYI. Perry supported Obama’s 2012 reelection effort, performing at a fundraiser for the president along with Bon Jovi, Jennifer Hudson, Stevie Wonder and others. Additionally, the curvaceous “Part of Me” pop superstar is also close to Michelle Obama , and even spent her 28th birthday having lunch with FLOTUS. Sounds like she’s practically part of the family! The Obamas, meanwhile, have yet to comment publicly on the phenomenon that is Miley Cyrus Twerking .
