Weep For the Poor Girls Working The Glee Project’s Critic Event

Just how far did NBC Universal go to promote The Glee Project during this afternoon’s Television Critics Association panel for Oxygen? Let’s put it this way: they hired a squad of actresses (and actors) to dress up in Cheerio-esque costumes, prance into a ballroom full of tired TV critics wielding pompoms and then do a herkie each time a question was posed to producers onstage.

NBC to Interview Obama Monday, Show It Across NBCU Networks, from USA to to Bravo to Syfy

As part of their “Education Nation” summit, NBC is granting a half-hour Matt Lauer interview on education to President Obama in the 8 am hour of Today on Monday. We haven’t seen this kind of all-out NBC-networks promotion for a politician since Al Gore’s Live Earth concerts in 2007. This is the second NBC-U forum for Obama in days, coming right after a cozy CNBC hour-long session with John Harwood and disappointed Obama backers.

Michael Drummond was Project Runway ‘s reliable quipper this season, popping out Crucible jokes and cat-skinning metaphors with major aplomb. In as interview with Movieline this morning, he was diplomatic enough to declare Andy, Mondo, and even Gretchen his choices to win the season, but I wanted to know about the less-lovable parts of his Runway tenure. Below, the St. Louis native talks about the challenge that got him eliminated, Fashion Week, and remaining cool when Ivy disgraced him in front of the judges.
