Teresa Giudice pled guilty to fraud back in March and is likely to face prison time. Teresa’s sentencing was delayed just last month following the death of her father-in-law, and along with her husband Joe, the former Real Housewives of New Jersey star will now have to wait until September to find out her fate. The troubled mother of four opened up about her upcoming court date in a recent interview and not surprisingly, she says she’s overcome with fear about the possibility of being locked up. “No one can ever prepare themselves to go to prison,” Teresa tells In Touch. “How could I ever prepare myself to be away from my kids? It’s too terrifying for me to even think about.” After copping to charges of tax evasion and defrauding the federal government, Teresa could end up serving 27 months behind bars. Joe Giudice was convicted of five federal fraud charges and could be sentenced to up to 46 months. “What does not kill you makes you stronger,” Teresa says of the ordeal. “I am here 100% for my poor honey, and he for me.” Despite the many difficulties endured by her family, Teresa has allowed herself (and her children) to be filmed for the upcoming season of her Bravo reality hit.
