Paula Deen steadfastly denies a new report that she once made an African-American employee dress up like Aunt Jemima, claiming it’s a total fabrication. The woman behind the story, Dora Charles , ran Deen’s kitchens for 22 years and helped open her famous Lady & Sons restaurant in Georgia. Charles told the New York Times that Paula Deen using racial slurs – which Paula recently admitted doing, vaguely, in the past – was the least of it. The celebrity chef wanted to dress up her employees as humiliating stereotypes, and tried to make her ring a dinner bell for restaurant customers. This, Charles felt, was racially charged. “That’s a symbol to me of what we used to do back in the day,” she told the publication in a new interview. Charles also claims Deen tried to make another black employee, Ineata Jones, dress up in an “old style Aunt Jemima outfit” while flipping pancakes. For her part, Deen says this is bogus and claims she has proof of it: On July 6, Jones signed a legal document saying she had never felt discriminated against and never heard Deen spout racial slurs during her employment. Deen’s camp, which is also fending off a racial discrimination lawsuit by Lisa Jackson , responded: “Dora’s complaint is not about race but about money.” “It is about an employee that despite over 20 years of generosity feels that she still deserves yet even more financial support from Paula Deen.” Paula admits using the n-word in the past but insists she never directed the slur at employees, nor discriminated in any way against anyone. Charles has not filed a lawsuit and says she has no plans to, but claims she wants to get her story out so everyone will “know the real Paula Deen.” At this point, there are some wildly conflicting accounts of who that is.

Starring alongside Ben Affleck in Gone Girl , Pike has been cast as Amy Dunne, the main female character in Gillian Flynn’s best selling novel. The book sold over two million copies and the film is highly anticipated. Also in talks for “supporting roles” are Neil Patrick Harris and Tyler Perry. Not quite sure what those supporting roles would be, but those two men are the big rumors swirling around right now. Assuming all goes according to plan with the delivery, Queen Elizabeth II will be the first person to receive word that the royal heir has been born. Unless she’s asleep, in which case no one will find out until she awakes. Pround papa Prince William will call his 87-year-old grandmother on an encrypted phone to let her know that Kate Middleton has given birth, reports say. But if the birth is in the middle of the night, he will not wake her up. Kate has been in labor since early Monday at St. Mary’s Hospital in London. Experts estimate that first-time mothers are generally in labor 12-24 hours. Queen Elizabeth, who returned to Buckingham Palace today from Windsor Castle where she usually spends weekends, says she’s quite anxious for it to arrive . Mostly because it’s exciting stuff, but a little bit because she’s going on her annual vacation next week to her Balmoral estate in Scotland. Naturally. Royal Baby Watch So how will mere mortals find out about the royal baby’s birth? Not from celebrity gossip sites breaking the news. If it happens in the next few hours and it’s still daylight, a royal courier will emerge from the hospital. With a police escort, the courier will head to Buckingham Palace to post a notice of the baby’s gender, size and weight on an easel at the palace front gates. If the birth comes at night, this will wait until morning. Long story short … there is no royal baby news until there’s a baby, at which point the royals themselves will break the news, as the BBC notes above. At the same time, acclaimed fashion photographers Van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadi filmed a short video teasing ARTPOP ‘s upcoming release. In the 23-second teaser, a sensual, still natural-looking Mother Monster seductively licks what appears to be a monster hand, we think. Take a look!
