It’s the beginning of the end for Teen Mom’s fabulous foursome – Maci Bookout, Farrah Abraham, Amber Portwood and Catelynn Lowell – on MTV this summer. Though the Teen Mom franchise is sticking around on the network with its second (and soon-to-be third) ensembles, the four who started it all are bowing out. The final season, premiering next month, promises big things for Amber, Maci, Farrah and Cate. Florence Welch of Florence + The Machine channels her inner evil queen in “Breathe Of Lie.” The epic ballad will be included in the soundtrack of the upcoming action fantasy film, Snow White & the Huntsman. Not to my surprise, “Breathe Of Life” is a much bigger cinematic production than anything Flo put on Ceremonials and already seems like it fits the film perfectly. In fact, Travis Porter have been planning to pay homage to the Beasties for some time now: They originally wanted to title their debut album No Sleep Till Atlanta in reference to the BB classic “No Sleep Till Brooklyn.” “A lot of people compare us to the Beastie Boys in some type of way,” Travis Porter’s Ali told “RapFix Live” on Wednesday when he and his group appeared on the show. “Just because the hip-hop and the music and the fun,” Quez added. When you consider TP’s electric club jams like “Make It Rain,” “You Don’t Know Bout it” and “Ayy Ladies,” then the Beasties comparison makes sense. In their early days, Mike D, Ad-Rock and MCA — who died following his struggle with cancer on Friday, were the ultimate party starters, and Travis Porter look to carry on that tradition. Ultimately, TP decided to name their upcoming May 29 debut From Day 1, but they still plan to honor the Beasties. “We named our tour No Sleep Till Atlanta though, still,” Ali said of their upcoming summer run, which will support the LP. DMC, a member of the iconic rap group Run-DMC , also appeared on “RapFix” and reacted to Yauch’s death and the Beastie Boys’ legacy. During the 1980s, Run-DMC and the Beastie Boys toured together and became fast friends. “The first thing that came to my mind was like, man, another one of us, it’s crazy. Adam Yauch is a member of one of the greatest groups ever in hip-hop, rock and roll history and music period,” he said. “He will be forever remembered as one of the greatest voices in hip-hop.” MTV News also spoke with Biz Markie on Friday about Yauch’s legacy. “He was in a class by himself. All three of them was in a class by themselves,” the iconic rapper/DJ said. “They were different, but he was a cool one and he was just different. Parks & Recreation star Rob Lowe will portray a lawyer in the upcoming TV movie about last summer’s Casey Anthony trial, according to reports. Lowe, who previously played Drew Peterson in the Lifetime original film Drew Peterson: Untouchable has been cast as prosecutor Jeff Ashton. The movie, tentatively titled Prosecuting Casey Anthony , will be based on Ashton’s book about the case, Improper Justice: Prosecuting Casey Anthony . In a case that captivated the country, Anthony, 26, was charged with and later acquitted of murdering her 2-year-old daughter, Caylee in 2008. The not guilty verdict set off a firestorm of criticism (and head-scratching, or just plain outrage) across the U.S. Anthony has been in hiding since. She hasn’t won over many since last summer. In fact, the family that hid her after the verdict recently left this scathing voicemail for Casey Anthony . “We’re thrilled to have Rob returning to our network, after his amazing star turn as Drew Peterson,” Lifetime executive V.P. Sony has debuted a new chase scene from their upcoming sci-fi sequel Men in Black III , in which Will Smith and Josh Brolin (playing the young Tommy Lee Jones ) hop onto a pair of newfangled high-tech monocycles to chase some alien perps. But where have we seen these super-speedy circular vehicles before? Mr. Garrison, take “It” away… First, the men in black in their space-age cycles (via Yahoo ): “Do you have these in the future?” teases Brolin’s Agent K. “No,” the Fresh Prince responds. Well actually, in the year 2001 an enterprising Coloroadan named Mr. Garrison, fed up with airport security lines, invented such a contraption… Yep. Flexi-grips. The vehicle of the future! Amanda Seyfried plays the titular porn icon in Lovelace , the upcoming biopic about the ’70s adult film industry’s most famous Deep Throat practitioner. Amanda took over for Lindsay Lohan after producers cut her loose amid her never-ending legal woes. While Lindsay seemed like a natural fit, this may have been a real blessing in disguise for the film, which co-stars Peter Sarsgaard. Check out the first Lovelace poster and see why: Sarsgaard plays the husband who basically forces Seyfried’s Lovelace into the industry (heathen), and James Franco even makes a cameo as Hugh Hefner himself. The film will reportedly deconstruct the glamorous facade of the early porn biz via its rampant abuse of Lovelace, who went on to adamantly oppose her line of work. Sounds like a must-see, and not necessarily only for its lead actress!
