Who abhorrently spread racist rhetoric on the headquarters of a respected building. USA Today reports that the headquarters of the Oklahoma Democratic Party ware vandalized with Nazi graffiti and racist messages on Thursday. The graffiti included swastikas and racial slurs spray-painted on the building and nearby sidewalk. “The Oklahoma Democratic Party is devastated by the recent hate crime attack at our Headquarters this morning,” said the party in a statement. “We appreciate the outpouring of support for this cowardly act as the community comes together to denounce hate and bigotry.” USA Today reports that police are trying to identify a woman wanted for questioning in connection with the vandalism. A community cleanup was hosted to remove the graffiti this week.

According to The New York Times , Batali and his restauranteur business partners in the Bastianich family have officially ended their partnership and Mario Batali is no longer the owner and proprietor of 16 restaurants. Mr. Batali “will no longer profit from the restaurants in any way, shape or form,” said Tanya Bastianich Manuali, who will head day-to-day operations at a new company, as yet unnamed, created to replace the Batali & Bastianich Hospitality Group. The couples appear to be dropping like flies on Temptation Island. That’s sort of what happens when you go on a reality show that makes couples live apart in houses that have various singles. The show went for a refreshing take to the second dates: The couples got the opportunity to choose which of the eligible singles they wanted to go on a date with. This was done well away from the prying eyes of their significant others. Did this lead to jealous couples leaving the island with the fear that the dates went a little too well? Not a chance in hell. Kaci was still not impressed by Evan’s antics. She wanted her boyfriend to realize that their relationship was worth salvaging, but she was not ruling out getting close to her date Justin. Justin was easy on the eyes and had a no-nonsense approach to cheating. In short, he was the polar opposite of Evan. “My date with Justin actually taught me a lot, and it just really opened my eyes that if Evan does blindside me at the end of this that I really need to move on and cut that out of my life,” Kaci admitted, adding: “It’s not what I deserve.” She had a point, but why did she need to come on TV to come to that conclusion? Elsewhere, Evan was all about trying to bury the hatchet with Morgan, and it seems like there’s actually some chemistry between them. Spending more time together, they seemed to agree there could be something there if they worked on it. “I did not think this was gonna happen like this,” Evan said in his confessional. “I’d be lying if I said I’m not going to explore whatever she’s got.” But the drama switched into high gear when Evan was shown the video of Kaci’s date, and her chatting about his status as a cheater. “I’m not a cheater anymore, man, and that hurts,” Evan said as though he was about to burst out crying. Source: Scott Olson / Getty Jason Van Dyke Sentenced To Six Years For Laquan McDonald Shooting Chicago Police officer Jason Van Dyke has been sentenced to 81 months, (6 years and 9 months) in prison and two years of mandatory supervised release for the murder of 17-year old Laquan McDonald . Van Dyke was convicted in October of second-degree murder and 16 counts of aggravated battery, one for each shot Van Dyke fired that struck McDonald. Back in 2014, the officer shot Laquan 16 times after responding to police calls for assistance. Van Dyke claimed that he fired after McDonald failed to comply with demands to drop a knife he was holding and made a threatening move toward police. USA Today reports: Prosecutors had asked Judge Vincent Gaughan to sentence Van Dyke to a prison term of 18 to 20 years. His defense team had asked that he be released on probation Illinois state law requires he serve at least 50 percent of the sentence. He’s already served about three months as he awaited sentencing, so Van Dyke could be out of prison in a little more than three years. Since the fatal shooting, all Chicago officers are required to wear body cameras and the three officers who allegedly “covered up” his actions have been acquitted . Prosecutors suggested up to 96 years for his crime. Before the sentencing, a judge received 200 letters begging for leniency for Van Dyke and his wife emotionally read one asking that he be set free. According to her he “paid the ultimate price.” “He has paid the ultimate price. He will no longer be a police officer. His life is over,” said the wife in court. “He has paid the ultimate price. He will no longer be a police officer. His life is over” – Jason Van Dyke’s wife pleads with court to let her husband come home.
