Nestle Nesquik recall 2012

Nestle USA decided to recall the powder after supplier Omya Inc. issued its own recall of calcium carbonate, a Nesquik ingredient, amid concerns that salmonella was present in some batches. Nesquik hasn’t caused any illness or adverse health effects so far, to the best of Nestle’s knowledge, the company said. But the salmonella bacteria can cause diarrhea, abdominal cramps, fever and, in particularly vulnerable demographics, more severe symptoms and even death. “We apologize to our consumers a

End Of Days: Nor’easter Slams New York And New Jersey Less Than One Week After Sandy’s Destruction!

Just when a little progress was being made… the east coast and New England are getting slammed with snow and more rising waters after Hurricane Sandy struck less than one week ago. Even New Jersey Governor Christie said he’s wondering when the locusts are coming??!! According to USA Today : Still navigating the harrowing destruction of Superstorm Sandy, much of the Northeast was hunkering down for a nor’easter barreling up the East Coast, ushering in snow, sleet, rain, strong winds and cold temperatures through Thursday. National Weather Service forecasters say the storm doesn’t have the destructive power of Sandy — which killed more than 110 in the U.S., cut power to 8.5 million homes and flooded the New York metropolitan area and New Jersey coast. But it’s still dangerous, threatening potential storm surges to coastal areas recovering from Sandy’s flooding onslaught. New York and New Jersey airports had already canceled more than 1,700 flights through today, causing a ripple of travel disruptions around the country. More power disruptions were feared in New York City, where about 350,000 remain without electricity. Strong wind gusts prompted the halt of construction work in the city — which also closed parks because of the threat to falling trees. “We’re petrified,” said James Alexander, who lives in the hard-hit Rockaways section of Queens. “It’s like a sequel to a horror movie.” Up to 5.5 inches of snow blanketed parts of New York, New Jersey, eastern Pennsylvania and Connecticut by Wednesday night. Weather Channel meteorologist Jon Erdman said several more inches could fall in the Poconos, Catskills and western Connecticut. New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg urged residents of flood-prone neighborhoods in Brooklyn, Queens and Staten Island to evacuate Wednesday night. In New Jersey, where recovery workers were building up badly eroded beach dunes, a fresh round of evacuations was ordered for some coastal communities. “I am waiting for the locusts and pestilence next,” New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie said. “We may take a setback in the next 24 hours.” Christie warned heavy, wet snow inland could reverse some power restored to 2.76 million New Jerseyans who lost electricity last week. About 370,000 remain without power. “We’re doing what we need to do to prepare for this, just like we did for Hurricane Sandy,” Christie said. “We’re prepared.” We’re hoping power stays on for those who have it back and that no more damage is done! The Real Housewives of Atlanta – "Got Sexy Back"

The Real Housewives of Atlanta claim they “Got Sexy Back” but I’m not sure that goes for everyone.  We’ll recap who’s moving up, who’s moving out, and who can’t handle the crack in our THG +/- review. NeNe’s definitely riding a high.  She’s on the new sitcom The New Normal and considering a move to LA.  Plus 25 . It’s nice to see her happy for once.  The girl is dining with famous producers and laughing about Tyler Perry changing his number and not telling her while turning down caviar.  Life couldn’t get much better for Ms. NeNe. Or could it?  Gregg’s still hanging around and he wants back.  He wants a key to her house. He wants a second chance and he claims he’s willing to work for it.  Minus 10 . I’m not so sure. Fifteen years of history is nothing to sneeze at but maybe it’s time NeNe moved on.  I’d be shocked if they got back together and weren’t miserable once again a year later. NeNe’s not the only one looking happy.  Kandi and TV producer/boyfriend Todd are moving in together.  They bought a house…in cash and that’s nothing to look down your nose at these days.  Plus 22.   Kandi’s glowing as she’s considering marriage and expanding her family.  Then Kim comes to visit. Kim calls Kandi’s new neighborhood “the hood” and says she locks her car doors when she gets off the highway.  If that house is in the hood, I’m moving in.   Kandi got the house in foreclosure but it’s huge and basically two houses in one. An indoor swimming pool, jacuzzi and an enormous amount of space more than makes up for the decorating she’ll have to do.  Plus 15 . Of course Kim never met a dollar she could spend and only sees the downside of moving into to a home that isn’t 100% finished to her liking.  Well, she might want to become more flexible…quick. When Kim and Kroy turned down the asking price on the house they’re living in they’re told to move out at the end of the lease.  In two weeks!  Minus 12 .  Seriously these two are in way over their heads. There isn’t a thing packed and they don’t know where they’re going.  And the movers are quoting them $101,000 to pack, move, and store everything for 120 days.  Of course we are talking about a 17,000 square foot home. Kandi says she’ll come move her personally for $101,000.  Plus 20 .  I’ll come help and we can split it. Of course Kim is pregnant once again and KJ’s just turning a year old.  Kroy and Kim are like rabbits.  They work quick. I can’t believe Sweetie’s still around.  Kim fired her last season only to hire her back.  Minus 9. Kim must enjoy paying people to do nothing. Phaedra’s still working on her mortuary business and wants to expand into pet funerals.  She says she’ll deal with anything that can be buried.   But can someone get her to stop calling Ayden her little prince.  Minus 10 .  It’s just setting him up to be a spoiled brat before he’s two years old. Cyndi and Peter still bicker like they always have but this time ex Leon got in the mix. Of course it was about his daughter.   Cyndi pulled Noelle out of school because she wasn’t flourishing and looked unhappy.  She’s adamant that she knows her daughter and this is best…until Noelle walks in and says she never wanted to be home schooled.  So much for being the in touch parent. Minus 8 . The Bailey Agency is hosting a casting call for JET magazine’s beauty of the week and Cyndi invites new Housewife Kenya to be a judge. Kenya’s a former Miss USA and has modeled for JET.  Who would have thought this could end up as such a disaster? Everyone shows up in their teeny bikinis and Kenya’s offended.  She can’t stand to see anyone’s booty or coochie crack and won’t stop talking about it.  Minus 11 . Kenya seems to embrace her mean girl / diva role.  She even has her own security throw out one of Cyndi’s employees. And minus 8 because he shouldn’t have called her a b*tch…even if she was being one at the time. Looking at those SMOOTH magazine covers Kenya did, it looks like she had plenty of her own booty falling out of that swimsuit.   The lines are definitely drawn between these two Housewives divas.  Who do you think will win? Episode total =  +14!               Season total = +14!

You Goin’ To Jail Now! Cleveland “Upppercut” Bus Driver Suspended After Video Of Him Putting The Hands Of God On Female Passenger Goes Viral, Should He Be Arrested??

The bus driver put the c-c-c-combo breaker on her face, should he go to jail? A Cleveland bus driver has been suspended following the surfacing of an online viral video depicting him viciously punching a female passenger : The 94-second video — posted online begins with an unidentified woman shouting obscenities at the bus driver. The woman then appears to strike the bus driver, who gets up from his seat and approaches her before landing a brutal uppercut that knocks the woman down. Just before the haymaker is thrown, someone can be heard saying on the video: “You going to jail now.” The bus driver, who has been identified as Artis Hughs and has employed by the agency for 22 years, then physically removes the 25-year-old woman and her pink jacket from the bus. She then reboards the bus, where the two briefly continue scuffling as passengers try to end the melee. “That’s a [expletive] female,” one passenger shouts. “I don’t care,” the bus driver responds. “She want to be a man, I’m going to treat you like a man.” Mary Shaffer, a spokeswoman for the Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority, told FoxNews.com in a statement that an investigation into the Sept. 18 incident has been launched. “Upon identifying the driver, he was immediately suspended and removed from duty,” the statement read. “His behavior is absolutely unacceptable.” The victim, who has been identified Shidea Lane, did not file any charges at the scene. Hughs also did not file any charges against Lane. RTA officials apologized to customers for the incident. Does the uppercut bus driver get prison time for his actions for assaulting the woman or made into a new Mortal Kombat character? Source

In White Folks News: Brad Pitt Speaks On The War On Drugs And His Druggie Past…”I Could Get You ANYTHING [Drug] You Wanted!”

Brad Pitt shares his views on America’s war on drugs, and he also shares some “moments” from the days when he was high as a kite. According to USA Today: During a Friday night screening of The House I Live In, a documentary about the war on drugs, which he produced, Pitt got candid about his use of and access to drugs back in the day. On his own drug use: “My drug days are long since passed but it’s certainly true that I could probably land in any city in any state and get you whatever you wanted. I could find anything you were looking for. Give me 24 hours or so. And yet we still support this charade called the drug war. We have spent a trillion dollars. It’s lasted for over 40 years. A lot of people have lost their lives for it. And yet we still talk about it like it’s this success.” Why he thinks the “war on drugs” has failed: “The drug war is actually being used to hold a portion of our society down. It’s staggering to me what is being perpetrated in this name of a war on … immorality. It’s criminal in itself. And we’ve got to look at that. We have to change that.” How to end the drug war: “The only way to end the war on drugs is to take the profit out of it. I know this comes with a whole other host of problems and I don’t know if I’m actually presenting it as a reality, but we have to look at the what-if-everything-was-legal and people were allowed to make their own choices. And we were treating it less as a criminal issue and more as a sickness. People do drugs to escape. We’re not talking about experimentation. People with long-term drug use are escaping.” Of course Brad used to be a druggie. He’s married to Angelina Jolie for heaven’s sake.
