Get Well Soon! Usher’s Oldest Son Nearly Drowns After Accident In His Pool

We’re glad he’s okay but this must have been quite a scare… Usher’s oldest son is currently in the hospital recovering after a scary pool accident. Via TMZ reports : Usher’s son Usher Raymond V is in the ICU at an Atlanta hospital after a serious accident in the singer’s pool Monday, TMZ has learned. Sources tell TMZ, the accident occurred around 6 PM yesterday. Usher was not home at the time. Here’s what we know. The child was playing in the pool with his aunt and saw a toy in the drain. He dove down to get the toy and his arm got stuck in the drain. The aunt immediately dove in to the rescue him but couldn’t get his hand out. The maid then dove in and tried but was also unsuccessful. The maid screamed for help. Two men working in the house came out, dove in and freed the boy. He was given CPR immediately and rushed to the hospital. Usher arrived and drove in the ambulance with his son. 5-year-old Usher Raymond V is the oldest of Usher’s two sons with ex-wife Tameka Raymond. We’re told Usher and Tameka are currently at the hospital. Doctors have been running a series of tests and doctor’s say he’ll be ok. This is the second accident to strike children in Usher’s family. Tameka’s 11-year-old son Kile from a previous relationship passed away last year from injuries sustained during a jet ski accident. The Voice Season 3 just got underway, but is there already a casting shake-up in the works for Season 4? According to a new report, at least, there may well be: Usher and Shakira are replacing Christina Aguilera and Cee Lo Green. Alleged insiders say Shakira and Usher would take the place of Christina and Cee Lo alongside Adam Levine and Blake Shelton at the end of the current season. Earlier this month, Aguilera opened up to Ryan Seacrest about the show, admitting she once viewed her job as a coach on The Voice “kind of like a side project.” “[I thought], ‘It’ll keep me close to my son [Max, 4] in L.A. I don’t have to travel,” the Grammy winner said. “Then it kind of took off, and there goes my free time!” The Voice sources say Christina will use her break from the program to focus on tours and promotional duties surrounding the release of her new album, Lotus . Christina Aguilera’s “Your Body” , the first single from the upcoming record, is already out. Green, for his part, is currently working with NBC on a new show. The rumor comes just as speculation surrounding American Idol ‘s revolving door ends: Nicki Minaj and Keith Urban will join Randy Jackson and Mariah Carey as judges. What do you think? Rozay and Usher talk to MTV News about the ‘sexy’ track from their video set in Atlanta. Still, as apathetic as the Bawse may portray himself, Rozay has a sweet spot when it comes to the ladies. So on “Touch ‘N You,” the new big money single off of Ross’ upcoming God Forgives, I Don’t, the Maybach CEO and guest star Usher Raymond show a little love to the hunnies. “It’s a real sexy record. I wanted to make sure the ladies knew that they could be a part of this movement, a part of this project,” Rick Ross told MTV News on Thursday (May 24) from the “Touch ‘N You” video set in Atlanta. “I would never let the ladies down even if it’s a real hard album or however it may be titled.” The upcoming clip is directed by Chris Robinson (Lil Wayne “How to Love,” Jay-Z “Roc Boys”) and will of course co-star Usher. “It’s an incredible one, Chris once again comes together making an incredible video,” Usher told us. “It is a conceptual video depicting the world that Rozay is in. My participation is just to show up and be cool.” Cool is an understatement when it comes to Usher, who is riding high off of his #1 Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Song “Climax.” Ross is no stranger to love songs either; he’s given the ladies plenty to swoon over on singles like 2008’s “Here I Am” and 2010’s “Aston Martin Music,” but having Ush on a track adds a certain appeal. The combination of Raymond’s vocals and the sexy “Touch ‘N You” video should be just enough to help Rozay properly put his feelings in perspective. Sometimes after long studio sessions with Meek Mill, Wale and the rest of his MMG compadres, the Bawse just needs to get away, and that’s what he aims to capture in the clip. “It’s basically like a situation where life gets so hectic sometimes you just want to get away with that special female and that’s what this was based off,” he said.
