Nina Dobrev is about to take her final bite out of The Vampire Diaries. In a stunning announcement, the actress posted a long message on Instagram that confirmed she will say goodbye to The CW smash at the end of The Vampire Diaries Season 6 . Dobrev will exit the series as has been widely reported today, and she explained the decision in a post that included the following photo of her and series creator Julie Plec. “I’ve just spent the most beautiful weekend on Lake Lanier in Georgia with my own TVD Family, the cast and crew of The Vampire Diaries.” “I want to be the first to tell you that it wasn’t just a holiday celebration, it was a goodbye party,” she wrote. “I always knew I wanted Elena’s story to be a six season adventure, and within those six years I got the journey of a lifetime. “I was a human, a vampire, a doppelganger, a crazy immortal, a doppelganger pretending to be human, a human pretending to be a doppelganger.” “I got kidnapped, killed, resurrected, tortured, cursed, body-snatched, was dead and undead, and there’s still so much more to come before the season finale in May.” “Elena fell in love not once, but twice, with two epic soulmates, and I myself made some of the best friends I’ll ever know and built an extended family I will love forever.” Dobrev, of course, dated co-star Ian Somerhalder for many years. Somerhalder is now engaged to Nikki Reed , with the couple rocking some major PDA on social media on a nearly weekly basis. He said the letter stood for āWolfā because, many years ago, the first settlers in the region has placed bounties on the heads of these animals. In Alexandria, Rick woke up and didnāt know if he should stop lying or take over the town. Nearby, Maggie tried to convince Deanna now to banish Rick, who later told Carl that he would do whatever it tookā¦ even if it meant killing a resident. Prior to the town meeting on Rickās fate, the leader admitted to Michonne that he, Daryl and Carol had taken guns and kept them from her. But Michonne insisted sheād always be on Team Rick. Following a nice scene with Maggie, Glenn tailed Nicholas when he went into the woods (with his gun). Naturally, the first opportunity he got, Nicholas went ahead and shot Glenn. But it takes more than one bullet to take out Glenn, who proceeded to attack his nemesis when a walker approached. However, Glenn being Mr. Nice Guy, he ended up helping Nicholas escape. Also in the woods, Gabriel pulled off the head of a walker (with a noose) and bashed in its skull. He then curled up in a ball and bawled. Later tasked by Spencer to close the gate behind him, Gabriel left it open. He went back to to the chapel and told Sasha that Bobās death was due to her sins. She would eventually pull a gun on him, only for Maggie to break things up and join those two in a prayer circle. Daryl and Aaron, meanwhile, were trailing a poncho-wearing stranger, oblivious to events in Alexandria. They ended up getting into a car to avoid a bunch of walkers as a food processing plants, with Daryl volunteering to take them on in order to save Aaron. But Aaron would hear of it. As youāll note when you watch The Walking Dead online , however, Morgan came along and saved the day. Aaron then invited Morgan to consider a spot in their community, though Morgan turned him down. Heās on his way to D.C. 23 Shocking TV Deaths 1. Katherine Pierce Katherine Pierce was literally dragged to Hell on The Vampire Diaries. We’d like to think she’s dancing and drinking somewhere on The Other Side still. 2. Sophie Deveraux So much for Sophie Deveraux as a key player on The Originals. Her Season 1 death served as a shocker. 3. Moira Queen We can still feel the pain of Moira Queen’s death on Arrow. It’s almost as if we were the ones who were stabbed. 4. After subduing (but not killing) the psychic who tried to poison her inside Marcel’s apartment, Rebekah awoke to close the hour. Her eyes shot open and she was clearly not herself. She found a young boy and a young woman on a rooftop. She identified herself as Eve… and she brutally murdered them both. It looks like Eve is starting to rebel against the person who took over her body. YIKES. Meanwhile, Elijah and GiaĀ bonded with an elder witch. She agreed to let Eve into their custody, as long as their returned the body of Vincent, inside which Finn now resided. Elijah agreed and Freya later helped with this cause, essentially knocking out her brother. She told Klaus and Elijah that all she cared about was killing Dahlia, which is why she also woke up Mikael and sent him on a mission to help with this cause. Can Freya be trusted? Can Mikael?!? (Of course not, but she may be able to control her monstrous father.) Finally, as you’ll see when you watch The Originals online , Jackson and Hayley had sex for the first time, while Elijah also got it on with Gia and Klaus shared a drink with Aiden. News that Somerhalder and Reed , who have been dating for about six months but who have been friends for years, have agreed to exchange vows at some point in the near future. “They’re so happy,” the source tells E!. “They were crazy happy from the start. Their families love each other. It just feels really right.” Since getting together in July, the actress and actor have adopted numerous animals together. They proved their seriousness as a couple, for example, by adopting a horse named Eagle last summer. “Proud new dad… What amazing creatures they are. Wow. His name is Eagle. Thank you @iamnikkireed for snapping this special moment, with our big baby boy,” Somerhalder wrote on Instagram at the time. Instead, one of Hollywood’s cutest couples were gifted with something even more special: quality time with each other. Along with Reed’s brother, the stars vacationed in Sun Valley last week, snapping a selfie on top of the mountain and gushing over one another in the process. “My brother and my love all in one day, on one mountain- I’m so overwhelmed by all of the beauty that surrounds us.
