The Vampire Diaries Season 8 Episode 9 Recap: Miss Mystic Falls 2.0

Anyone for some Miss Mystic Falls? On The Vampire Diaries Season 8 Episode 9 , the CW hit begun to embrace the end and threw back to one of the most iconic moments of the entire series.  However, this iteration of one of the town’s best events was more deadlier than before. That’s sort of what happens when you have both the Ripper and the Siren in attendance.  As the episode got underway, Damon and Stefan bonded over killing some dude in a bar, but Sybil just had to call Damon to ruin the fun. She wanted the brothers to make their back to Mystic Falls in order help her find the artifact.  Stefan was against returning, but Damon agreed without really thinking it through. This continued to prove to Stefan that there was something iffy about Damon’s humanity.  Meanwhile, Bonnie returned from her trip to Paris with Enzo and wasted no time in meeting up with Caroline. Caroline was floored by a mysterious vial around Bonnie’s neck. That vial was filled with Enzo’s blood and it made Caroline question whether Bonnie wanted to become a vampire in order to spend an eternity with Enzo.  Their conversation was interrupted by a phone call from Seline, who wanted them to meet her to hear her out. At the meeting, Seline claimed that it was imperative that they did not allow Sybil to get all of the pieces of the artifact, or there would be trouble in store.  Seline made it clear that her intention was to kill Sybil in order to try and do something good in her life, but Caroline struggled to believe her because of the way she acted when she was giving off serious Nanny Carrie vibes.  Caroline got on the phone to Matt to let him know about Seline, so he and Dorian continued to work together to locate where the other pieces of the artifact could be.  At the Miss Mystic Falls pageant, Caroline was shocked by the arrival of Stefan, Damon and Sybil and made it clear that she would not let them ruin the day.  Caroline noticed that Damon was still fighting Sybil off from his subconscious and used it to her advantage. She told him to keep her out of his mind, but Sybil appeared to continue her reign of terror to get him on her side.  View Slideshow: 15 Best Shows in CW History: Ranked! Stefan flipped and stabbed Damon and left him lying next to Sybil, who Damon had knocked out just before.  Caroline was chatting to the girls, but Stefan appeared and murdered one of them. He then told Caroline that he fed all of them his blood, so they would start the transition.  Caroline “murdered” Stefan, but he came back to life because of his deal with Cade and the pair bickered about how long Stefan would be the Ripper. Caroline was shocked to learn that he actually enjoyed it.  Stefan left, leaving Caroline to school the transitioning girl on what would become of her. The girl wanted to die, but Caroline spoke about everything she had accomplished since becoming a vampire and it helped the girl change her stance on all of it.  Enzo and Bonnie argued about Bonnie not becoming a vampire because of everything she witnessed her friends go through, but she said that Enzo could be cured and it was clear he was thinking it through.  We ended the episode with Sybil attacking Damon, seemingly turning his humanity back on.  Things are definitely getting deadlier in Mystic Falls but is there any way either of the Salvatores can be redeemed at this stage? The Vampire Diaries Season 8 Episode 4 Recap: Matt’s Return!

We finally got more details on how Sybil became a very evil person on The Vampire Diaries Season 8 Episode 4 .  Seriously, she was throwing back to what made her evil pretty much every scene and it resulted in one of the best episodes in quite some time.  Basically, Sybil has a sister and her sister is probably more wicked than her. I must say congratulations to the writers because they succeeded in making me think Georgie was the villain.  Georgie broke into Alaric’s home because she was curious about what she witnessed on The Vampire Diaries Season 8 Episode 3. Unfortunately for her, the nanny was totally evil and sent her to the armory to knock Stefan out.  This allowed Sybil to enter his mind and lift the lid about what happened many years ago. Seline was the more evil of the two sisters, but Sybil struggled to remain good.  Their leader was a man named Arkadius and I’m getting a strong feeling that he’ll be showing up in Mystic Falls before long. The interesting thing about all of this is that Sybil is definitely not the more evil sister.  Seline takes that honor and she’s probably going to be causing a lot of drama. Heck, she murdered Georgie and brought up that time she accidentally murdered someone.  Not cool, Seline.  View Slideshow: 24 Shocking TV Deaths Georgie was dragged to hell and that’s the same place Katherine Pierce went to. It would be great if we somehow got to visit there on the show, but there’s no way that will be happening any time soon.  We’d need Nina Dobrev back for that and there’s been no confirmation of that yet. We still don’t know why Seline just happens to be looking after Alaric’s kids.  Those are the same kids who managed to take Sybil out the armory in the first place. That’s going to be one of the more pressing questions as the final season progresses,  Elsewhere, Damon continued searching for a mysterious artifact that Sybil sent him on his way to find. The most shocking thing was that Matt’s father just so happened to be the person who had the item.  Damon tried to murder him, but vervain saved the day. The show is seriously getting so good again and part of the reason is that these twists are great.  View Slideshow: 17 Television Characters Who Have Served Their Country Matt was less than impressed Damon tried to murder his father and decided the best course of action was to kill him. However, Damon revealed that he had Tyler bleeding out in a car.  But when Matt arrived to save Tyler, he was already dead. It was a pathetic ending for Tyler Lockwood, but it made us glad at the thought of Matt’s family actually being a big thing in Mystic Falls.  Who would have thought that Matt Donovan would actually get a storyline? I mean, he’s just been sitting on the sidelines since the series premiered all those years ago.  What did you think of the episode? Sound off below! Buffy the Vampire Slayer Cast: Where Are They Now?!

Can you believe it's been 13 entire years since a new episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer graced our television sets? Sure, we've survived these long, cold years without new Sunnydale adventures with the comics, countless Netflix marathons, and the memories, but it's been rough. So let's take a few moments to look back at this beloved show, to look at the main cast members and see what they're up to now. Come on. You know you want to. 1. Sarah Michelle Gellar Sarah Michelle Gellar of course played the title role of Buffy Summers, the best darn vampire slayer that ever was. Sure, she died a couple times, but she came back to save the world, again and again. These days, Sarah is still acting, most recently in the animated series Star Wars Rebels. She’s also married to Freddie Prinze Jr.! 2. Alyson Hannigan Alyson Hannigan played the role of Willow, a shy nerd turned powerful witch. Alyson went on to star in another delightful television series, How I Met Your Mother, and she’s married to Alexis Denishof, who hilariously played a Watcher named Wesley Wyndam-Pryce in both Buffy and Angel. 3. Nicholas Brendon Nicholas Brendon played Xander, and oh, he played him so very well. Unfortunately, Nicholas has struggled since the show ended. He’s been arrested multiple times for charges stemming from his addiction issues. 4. Anthony Stewart Head Anthony Stewart Head played Giles, and while he started off as Buffy’s high school librarian and her Watcher, by the time the series was over he was definitely a father figure to her. Anthony’s been acting steadily since the show ended, notably in the television series Merlin. And yeah, he’s still oddly attracttive. 5. David Boreanaz David Boreanaz played Angel, Buffy’s one true love (sorry, Spike fans). He’s been one of the more successful cast members, since he’s starred in Bones for the past century (or since 2005, same thing). 6. Charisma Carpenter Charisma Carpenter played Cordelia, the queen bee of Sunnydale High who eventually became one of the Scooby gang. She went on to play the same role in Angel, and she’s been acting ever since. One of her best roles, honestly, was in a Lifetime movie called Deadly Sibling Rivalry (for real) in which she played a pair of twins (for real). View Slideshow
