The Weeknd Arrested In Las Vegas It was a rough weekend for The Weeknd. The Alt-R&B crooner was tossed to the clink in Las Vegas on Saturday after delivering the fade to a police officer in the middle of a scuffle after his show . Via E!online : The Weeknd had a violent run-in with the law on Saturday, E! News has confirmed. The 24-year-old singer, whose real name is Abel Tesfaye, was arrested after he allegedly punched a police officer in the head. Officer Laura Meltzer, a spokeswoman for the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police tells E! News, “A man by the name Abel Tesfaye was arrested on Saturday night in Las Vegas at about 4:42 a.m. Special Event officers responded to call regarding a fight that broke out at the 3500 Block of South Las Vegas Blvd. When they got to the venue there was a big group of people in an altercation.” Meltzer added, “They tried to separate up the fight. They took one man (Abel Tesfaye) into the elevator and he punched the officer at the side of his head with a closed fist. He was arrested for battery of a protected person and taken to Clark County Detention. He is not there anymore so he must of bailed out.” In the mug shot from his arrest, The Weeknd appears calm and cooperative while sporting his signature crazy hairdo. Floyd’s kids might be spoiled but they aren’t happy… Floyd Mayweather’s Son Calls Him A Coward For Beating Mother Via TMZ reports: Floyd Mayweather ‘s 14-year-old son is lashing out against his father — claiming he’s a “coward” for refusing to admit he beat the crap out of his mother Josie Harris back in 2010. Koraun Mayweather spoke with USA Today with his mother’s permission — and described what happened in September 2010 … when he witnessed Floyd punching and kicking Josie … so he snuck out of his Vegas home and alerted security who then summoned police. “[My dad] said to lock my door and stay in my room. I sat there and thought about what I was going to do next. Just for like a minute.” Koraun said he eventually “ran back out my bathroom and then hopped over the gate and went to the main entrance gate. I just told [the guard] that my mom was getting hurt and to call the ambulance and the police.” Eventually, cops arrived … and Koraun told investigators what he saw. Mayweather plead guilty to a reduced battery domestic violence charge and was sentenced to 90 days behind bars. Koraun says he’s upset that his father never apologized for the incident publicly. Koraun also says he still spends time with his father — but he’s less than enthusiastic about it. “We just hang out. We either watch a movie or something or go bowling. I find [boxing] boring. It is just like how people sit in the ring and fight for 12 rounds and it gets boring after a while.” Floyd’s team has yet to respond to the story. MMA Fighter “War Machine” On Lockdown For Domestic Abuse Attempts Suicide In Jail

War Machine Attempts Suicide In Jail Cell The MMA Fighter who burst into his ex-girlfriend’s home and beat her within an inch of her life is having a hard time in jail, apparently. He made a near-successful suicide attempt on Tuesday evening before guards found and resuscitated him. Via ESPN : Former MMA fighter War Machine is in medical isolation in a Las Vegas jail after a suicide attempt earlier this week, police confirmed Thursday, according to multiple reports. A Clark County Detention Center guard found War Machine, formerly known as Jonathan Koppenhaver, on Tuesday night after he tried to hang himself, according to authorities. Police said Koppenhaver was unresponsive when found. Koppenhaver’s attorney, Brandon Sua, told the Las Vegas Review-Journal that the fighter’s vital signs had “completely stopped” and that he was “pretty much dead” when found. Sua also said officials found “multiple” suicide notes in Koppenhaver’s cell. Koppenhaver, 32, is being held without bond on charges of attempted murder, domestic battery by strangulation, first-degree kidnapping and sexual assault, stemming from an alleged incident involving his ex-girlfriend and adult film actress Christy Mack on Aug. 8 at her Las Vegas residence. The professional mixed martial artist faces the possibility of life in prison. A preliminary hearing had been scheduled for Friday, but the Review-Journal reported that lawyers told a judge Wednesday that they wanted to try negotiate with prosecutors. Koppenhaver was extradited to Las Vegas from Ventura County, California, on Aug. 30, after he was arrested in a Los Angeles suburb. Sua told the Review-Journal that his client’s depression and anxiety had “increased since his August arrest.” SMH.
