Awww! How sad! The Mean Girls Of Miami really are no more… for now. In a recent interview about the wonderfulness of being her (including her sex life or lack thereof), Jennifer Williams was asked about her breakup with Evelyn Lozada , which mostly played itself out in subliminal tweets. And she confirms that their friendship is in fact dunzo. At the moment anyway. Yeah we don’t speak If you follow me on Twitter, I don’t do subliminal tweets. I don’t throw jabs at my friends. I just kind of feel like even if were not speaking or whatever the case is like if you have my phone number, just text me or whatever. I don’t feel the need to put stuff on Twitter I kinda of use twitter for whats its suppose to be for like networking but it is what it is but yeah she threw a couple of jabs at me on Twitter and I’m not entertaining it because I don’t feel like that’s the arena to do so. I don’t have a problem with her. She has one with me. I definitely think there’s a bigger issue, but you guys will have to tune into Season four to figure it out. But is it really, REALLY over, or are they just on a break? Anything is possible, to be honest with you. The whole reason why we’re not speaking, I think is really trivial. And I feel like there’s a bigger issue but honestly, I don’t have a problem with Evelyn she has a problem with me and at this point I’m like listen ‘whatever your problem is I can’t be bothered like I’m trying to do bigger and better things’. I am at a point in my life where I’m getting rid of all the negative energy in my life, including my soon-to-be ex. So my thing is like nobody is exempt at this point and if your bring some negative energy and drama in my life like I am good. So to recap: Jenn has nothing against Evelyn; Evelyn is being petty about some isht we don’t know and won’t know about until Season 4 of Basketball Wives; and they may or may not reconcile. But really, we’re sure none of this is in any way, shape or form a ploy to promote the show. It was probably an extremely difficult task, but the producers of VH1′s “Single Ladies” finally found a new co-star to fill the void left by the departure of Stacey Dash ‘s invaluable acting skills. And, what’s even better is that they’ve found a young lady who looks enough like Stacey that some people might not even notice it’s not the same person. All My Children co-star Denise Vasi has been cast as a new lead on VH1′s hourlong comedy series Single Ladies. On the upcoming second season of the show executive produced by Queen Latifah, Vasi will star opposite co-leads LisaRaye McCoy and Charity Shea. She fills a void left by the departure of Stacey Dash after the end of the first season. Vasi will play the new role of Raquel, a close friend of Keisha (McCoy) who is a savvy business woman from a prominent Southern family on a quest to discover passion. “Denise is the perfect addition to the Single Ladies cast,” Queen Latifah said. “She is bringing a fun, new element to the show.” Single Ladies, VH1′s first hourlong scripted series, is a romantic comedy series about Keisha, Raquel and April (Shea) – best friends with different philosophies on love, sex and relationships, proving not all women have the same desires. The show , which averaged 2.8 million total viewers in its first season (for first 2 airings combined), will begin production on Season 2 in Atlanta in January for a premiere in early summer. “It was a rare and wonderful moment during the audition when everyone in the room immediately knew we had found our Raquel,” said VH1′s EVP original production and programming Jeff Olde said. “Denise’s beauty, style, grace and humor leap from the screen.” Congrats to Denise. The building was packed with a plethora of Vh1 talent including Draya from “Basketball Wives L.A.,” Merecedes Nelson from “Football Wives,” Avonte Wright from “Tough Love Miami,” and Danger and Cali from “For The Love Of Ray J.”
Thanks to some incredibly gifted, and we’re sure very persistent, publicist, someone thought asking Gloria Govan and Matt Barnes about their love life as parents would be interesting. It wasn’t. But part of it did bring up an interesting question for us… Gloria, how do you and Matt keep things exciting? Do you have date nights? We’re super sappy. We’re into the rose petals and candles and balloons. He leaves me notes everywhere — like in my car, my purse, and places I would never think to look in, like my sunglasses case — and then I just find them throughout the day. They’re really brilliant notes. He’s always encouraging and supportive. He’s so cute. We used to have date night a lot, but now that the boys are older, we stay up later, so it’s hard. We have this really cool balcony that overlooks the water that’s very romantic and chill and we end up there just talking. We catch each other up. We get up and we’re like, wow, it’s 1 o’clock in the morning. We try to chill. We used to go on walks all the time, but with my schedule and his schedule it’s hard. Plus, I’m trying to do “Dancing with the Stars” next season so it’s just going to get even worse. I’m excited. I love to dance… I love to cut a rug. It’s fun just to let it loose. Okay, beyond the mystery that is what qualifies someone as a “star” as far as “Dancing With The Stars” is concerned, that answer left us so confused. If Matt is writing sweet notes and doing all types of thoughtful, romantic-y things all the time, and y’all are oh so in love WHY ARE YOU STILL NOT MARRIED??? Source
VH1′s “Do Something” Awards went down last night in Hollywood, California. The non-profit organization honors people under the age of 25 who have given back to their communities and beyond, and though some of our favorite celeb ladies didn’t make cut in terms of age, they still showed face. Kerry Washington wore a sheer & sparkly, printed asymmetrical mini while Kim Kardashian wore a form-fitting, cream-colored floor length gown. But it was Tyra Banks’ outfit that got us talking: while we love the color-block trend, we’re not so sure she pulled it off as well as Janet Jackson. We just can’t put our figure on it as to why.
New Orleans Saints linebacker Jonathan Vilma ( @JonVilma51 ) was in South Beach supporting his hometown hero DJ Irie at his seventh annual charity weekend. The Pro Bowler said that he has been practicing with teammate Drew Brees and hopes that the players and owners can come to a contract agreement that will end the current lockout . R&B singer Ne-Yo stopped by VH1′s “Big Morning Buzz Live” Friday morning to discuss some of his upcoming projects. The Grammy winning singer/producer talked about his fifth studio release, titled “Love and Passion” which drops this September. Ne-Yo shared that he wanted to make a more well-rounded album that evokes emotion from the listener. “There’s more to music than just dancing,” Ne-Yo stated, “I mean when’s the last time you heard a ballad on the radio?” Ne-Yo confessed that he doesn’t bring his baby daughter Madilyn Grace (born last November) to the studio when recording. “When she’s around nothing else matters, nothing else gets done..so Maddy stays home while Daddy goes to work.” Ne-Yo is flying high from his collaboration on Pitbull’s hit single “ Give Me Everything .” The song is currently charting #1 worldwide.
