Iowa Woman Sentenced 18 Months In Prison For $100,000 Fake Child Fraud Only 18 months? Via NYDailyNews An Iowa woman will serve 18 months in prison for faking a child to swindle nearly $100,000 out of a former lover, the Des Moines Register reported. Johna Loreen Vandemore, 34, will also have to pay full restitution to the victim, who she had a brief romantic relationship with in 2007, according to court records. They met through a dating website and only saw each other a few times. After they broke it off, Vandemore told the old flame she was pregnant with his child. The fooled father, who lives in a Minneapolis suburb, agreed to send monthly $1,000 payments to a post office box, and sent extra cash for holidays and the kid’s non-existent birthday. Altogether the man, who hasn’t been identified, made more than 90 payments to the mock mom for six years. Vandemore, of Maquoketa, went so far as to provide the unsuspecting non-father with fake medical records and a fake birth certificate from a fake hospital. She also sent him pictures of her cousin’s daughter, claiming it was their kid. To make matters worse, THIS B**** WAS MARRIED! When Vandemore’s husband uncovered the monthly checks, she told him it was for sales she made for a nutritional products company. Check out what her scumbag lawyer had to say about the whole ordeal. Her defense lawyer, Donovan Robertson, said Vandemore at one point really did believe she was pregnant, which is why she asked for payments in the first place. He said the dad deceit continued out of “inertia,” and suggested that the man could have learned the truth much sooner if he ever requested to meet the imaginary child. “These things are not intended to foist responsibility of the victim, but, to show the ease with which a house of cards could have been toppled,” Robertson wrote. When Justin Bieber apologized to his fans in a recent self-recorded video, it ushered in the era of the kinder, gentler Biebs. When it was announced that Farrah Abraham would return to Teen Mom for the upcoming throwback season, many fans of the show were thrilled. After all, no one brings the drama quite like Farrah, and a return to the original cast just wouldn’t be compete without the walking ball of WTF?! that is Ms. Abraham. Florida Man Beats Woman When She Refuses To Give Sex As Payment For Fast Food Why has Mickey D’s got people going so hard these days? Via WEDR : A West Palm Beach man is being held in the Palm Beach County Jail after he allegedly beat a woman who refused to have sex with him after he bought her breakfast at McDonald’s. Justin Jarrard Oliver is facing charges of felony battery and false imprisonment. Oliver, 26, is being held in lieu of $75,000 bail. The woman told West Palm Beach police that she and her boyfriend picked up Oliver in her car Wednesday morning then drove to the McDonald’s on 45th Street west of Australian Avenue. The trio placed made their order and Oliver paid the tab, according to an arrest report. Oliver then “demanded sex from (the victim) due to him buying her McDonald’s food,” the report said. As the woman was driving, Oliver allegedly “grabbed her by the arm/hand and attempted to pull her into the rear seat for sex,” according to the report. The woman screamed and held on to the steering wheel before bringing the car to an abrupt stop on 35th Street near Broadway. Once the vehicle stopped, Oliver jumped out and tried to pull the victim out of the car while again demanding sex, the report said. Oliver allegedly punched the woman with his fist, causing “severe injuries” that included a 1 1/2-inch laceration above her left eye and numerous other cuts and abrasions, the report said. The woman’s boyfriend jumped on Oliver’s back, allowing the woman to move the car a short distance away. The boyfriend then got back in the car and the woman drove to St. Mary’s Medical Center.
