The college ended up issuing an apology on Friday night after the rapper performed as part of the “Late Night in the Phog” preseason celebration, which follows scrimmages by both the men’s and women’s basketball teams. The 35-minute set Snoop brought to Allen Fieldhouse featured women on stripper poles doing what women do on stripper poles, along with shooting fake money into the crowd, and performing the unedited versions of his hit songs, like “Drop It Like It’s Hot” and “Gin and Juice.” View this post on Instagram A post shared by snoopdogg (@snoopdogg) on Oct 4, 2019 at 10:07pm PDT The vulgarity of the show reportedly raised some eyebrows, which led to Kansas’ athletic director Jeff Long issuing a statement to the Kansas City Star . In the apology, he explains that the school expected a “clean version” of the performance from the legendary rapper. “We apologize to anyone who was offended by the Snoop Dogg performance at Late Night. We made it clear to the entertainers’ managers that we expected a clean version of the show and took additional steps to communicate to our fans, including moving the artist to the final act of the evening, to ensure that no basketball activities would be missed if anyone did not want to stay for his show,” the statement said. “I take full responsibility for not thoroughly vetting all the details of the performance and offer my personal apology to those who were offended. We strive to create a family atmosphere at Kansas and fell short of that this evening.” There’s no word on how the university and Snoop Dogg had such a different understanding of what the performance was supposed to be, but in Snoop’s defense, it’s easy to see why he might have thought a “Late Night” event was meant to push the envelope a little bit. In the video posted by the Long Beach native following his show, the crowd at Allen Fieldhouse seemed to be loving the performance as they lowdly cheered him on. After word of the controversy got out, Snoop brushed it off by sharing a short statement on Instagram which seems to be in response to those saying he did too much. “Thank. U for letting me be me. Many wondered why but most quickly pointed out exhaustion from how hard he’s been working and lets face it the music industry is the devil and besides the money everything else is a headache and all bad. Lil Nas X has been in Atlanta laying low and visiting his old high-school even doing an exclusive interview there about his young days and “praying his homosexuality would go away” . With him laying low you’d think people would let him be. Of course thats not going to happen as he’s been slapped with yet ANOTHER lawsuit claiming he stole a song. The song in question is his collaboration with Cardi B “Rodeo”. According to TMZ , Producer Brandon Lee says his song was hijacked without any permission what so ever, so he’s suing everyone he can think of. He claims a song he wrote which ended up becoming a song called “Broad Day” is almost the same song. they’re both built on a 4-measure phrase outlining the cord progression E, F, G, F, E. He also says the tempo is the same, both songs utilize guitar and wind instruments, the drumbeats are the same, the chord progression is similar … among other things. The video above has barely reached 10k views but the producer claims the song was very popular around Atlanta where Lil Nas X is from. In his lawsuit he names Lil Nas X, Cardi B, Sony Music, Columbia record & Cardi’s former manager, Klenord Raphael. With Cardi B being a guest it doesn’t make sense why he is suing her but if he’s suing her FORMER manager as well something tells us there is more to this story and Cardi is just being hit with a stray bullet. Source: Jerritt Clark / Getty 21 Savage Speaks On His Stance Regarding Citizenship For Immigrant Children 21 Savage went through some immigration troubles of his own earlier this year, so on Thursday, he was honored by the National Immigration Law Center. When speaking on the subject, the rapper stated that children who were brought here by their parents and live illegally in America should automatically become citizens. “When you’re a child, you don’t know what’s going on,” 21 Savage said to the Associated Press . “Now, you grow up and got to figure it out. Can’t get a job. Can’t get a license. I’m one of the lucky ones who became successful. It’s a lot of people who can’t.” This comes after 21 was forced to spend 10 days in an U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement detention center after he was arrested as part of a sting operation in Atlanta. His visa expired in 2006, unknown to him. Savage moved to America from the U.K. when he was only 7-years-old. He added more insight into his opinion of immigrant children living in America, stating something pretty controversial: “I feel like we should be exempt. I feel like we should automatically become citizens.” “When you ain’t got no choice, you should be exempt,” the rapper continued. “It’s not like I was 30, woke up and moved over here. I’ve been here since I was like seven or eight, probably younger than that. I didn’t know anything about visas and all that. I just knew we were moving to a new place.” 21 Savage was honored by the NILC for advocating immigrant justice, also speaking on the increasingly difficult process of obtaining a visa. “They just lose hope,” the rapper said of his fellow immigrants. “I feel like kids who were brought here at young ages, they should automatically be like ‘Yeah, you good to stay here, work and go to college.’ It should be nipped in the bud before it gets to a point before you come of age… We got a fight that we need to continue in this country. We’re not sure exactly what’s going on with Aaron Carter these days, but whatever it is, it’s very sad, and very serious. The public became aware of the latest trouble in the singer’s life when his older brother, Nick Carter, filed for a restraining order , claiming that Aaron had threatened to murder both him and his wife, who was pregnant at the time. In an effort to share the news himself before it was reported by the tabloid media Nick took to social media, writing: “After careful consideration, my sister Angel and I regret that we were required to seek a restraining order against our brother Aaron today,” he wrote. “In light of Aaron’s increasingly alarming behavior and his recent confession that he harbors thoughts and intentions of killing my pregnant wife and unborn child, we were left with no choice but to take every measure possible to protect ourselves and our family. “Take care. @nickcarter we’re done for life…I haven’t seen him in four years. And I don’t intend,” Aaron responded. “All I ask is for my family to leave me alone,” he continued. “This is blood. Not love. I will never be around you and I don’t want to be around you … Stop trying to get me 5150’d before I file a harassment suit myself nick I have the $.” The conflict seemed to send Aaron into an often frightening downward spiral. First, he claimed to have been raped by his late sister . Shortly thereafter, he accused Nick of raping a 91-year-old woman . Then, in case there were any remaining doubts about the state of Aaron’s mental health, the 31-year-old revealed a large, garish face tattoo. Not surprisingly, this series of events led to rumors that Aaron is on drugs. And given the very public fashion in which he lives his life, it’s also not surprising that Aaron decided to disprove those rumors by submitting to a urine test on Instagram Live. Unfortunately, he may not have received the results he was hoping for. Aaron Carter Fails Drug Test Seemingly irate about an article published by Radar Online, Aaron captioned the video: “STOP WRITING LIES ABOUT ME AND START THROWING SOME FUCKING RESPECT ON MY NAME! @radaronline,” he wrote. “Your ‘shocking drug’ post about me was desperate and completely misleading to whatever readers you have left these days. proving you idiots wrong will NEVER get old to me. Carter then proceeded to take a drug test he had apparently purchased online and threatened Radar with legal action if the site didn’t delete its original article. In the comments, many fans pointed out that he appeared to test positive for both THC and PCP. While Carter admits to smoking weed, he says fans misinterpreted the results with regard to PCP. “For everybody out there that’s questioning the results, you f–king a–holes,” Aaron said in a second video. This time, he showed a test that was positive only for THC. Obviously many still felt that he had faked the results, but for now, let’s focus on the positive. Nick Carter welcomed a baby girl today just after wife Lauren Kitt suffered a miscarriage. And Aaron was among the first to congratulate the couple on social media: “I’ve been very hurt by the fact that my big brother has not made an effort to be part of my life for a long time. So therefore, I lashed out and said some hurtful things I did not mean to say,” Aaron tweeted. “I love my brother. According to reports from The Bahamas’ EyeWitness News , a statement from Bahamas Information Services says that the pair of celebs visited the National Emergency Management Agency on Thursday. A video clip of Kanye and Fox visiting the Kendal G.L.
