Grey's Anatomy Season 16 will kick off on September 26 on ABC — and, based on the official trailer featured here, the premiere will aim to answer two key questions: What is Meredith doing picking up garage? Is Jackson alive?!? Viewers do basically know the reasoning behind that first query, of course. Meredith, Alex and Richard were all fired to close out Season 15 and Meredith will be performing her court-mandated community service when we see her again this fall. Hence the tagline orange is the new grey that flashes across the screen of this preview. Later in this sneak peek, Bailey (Chandra Wilson) is seen telling other employees that Meredith, Alex Karev (Justin Chambers), and Richard Weber (James Pickens Jr.) no longer work at the hospital due to “criminal activity.” The reactions are priceless. Will Meredith end up working as a doctor once again in the near future? We'd have to imagine. But we're very curious just how she gets her old job back. Elsewhere, the intense promo also portends an ominous outcome to the Disappearance of Jackson Avery. Where is he? Could he actually be dead and gone? It's conceivable, considering the history of this show and how it's unafraid to kill off a series regular. But, SPOILER ALERT, Jesse Williams recently re-upped with the series for two more years. So we think everything is gonna end up being okay for Jackson. He'll survive, at the very least. Showrunner Krista Vernoff previously told TV Line that this wildly anticipated premiere will pick “moments from where we left off” in the Season 15 finale, with “all of the lingering” cliffhangers being addressed “pretty immediately.” That is, Meredith, Richard and Alex receiving pink slips… DeLuca wearing a prison jumpsuit … and Jackson vanishing into thin air/thick fog. Shortly thereafter, however, the episode “will span a little bit of time over the course of the hour.” Color us intrigued. According to Bleacher Report , Leslie will be the first woman to have a statue built in her likeness and displayed outside of the Staples Center. The Los Angeles Times reported that the Los Angeles Sparks and the Anschutz Entertainment Group are still solidifying details about the reveal date but they agreed that Leslie’s statue would be the 11th one outside of the building. Email Submit Leslie’s statue will be the first WNBA player outside of the Sparks’ arena. Leslie is one of the most notable players in the WNBA and one of the women who helped add exposure to the league. Leslie was drafted in the WNBA’s first draft in 1997 and played with the Sparks throughout her entire career until she retired in 2009. The folks at US Weekly magazine obtained a police report that detailed the incident between 61-year-old Jamie Spears and 13-year-old Sean Preston last month. Sean and his younger brother Jayden James, 12, were visiting their grandfather at his condo in California when he allegedly got into an argument with Spears. He reportedly “felt unsafe” and locked himself in a room but Spears managed to break in and allegedly “shook” the boy, a law enforcement source told the magazine. Following the fight Britney took the boys from the house and dropped them off with Federline. The next day, K-Fed filed for a domestic violence restraining order against Jamie that forbade him from all contact with the boys according to NYDailyNews . “Kevin wants to assure that Britney has the most reasonable custody with the kids that is consistent with their best interests,” Federline’s lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan said on Tuesday. “The kids love their mother, and Kevin doesn’t want to do anything that would be inconsistent with that,” he said. For those who don’t know, Andrea Kelly is a very skilled dancer. It’s how she met R. Kelly before the two ultimately married and had three children. I don’t have to tell you that Buku’s father, singer R. Kelly is in the midst of yet another legal battle. He’s currently imprisoned on charges of child pornography, including videos of himself having sex with underage girls. SEE ALSO: R. Kelly Didn’t Want Cellmate, Court Docs Say But in the midst of her father’s struggles, Buku is attempting to establish herself in an industry she had once avoided. She spoke to the Associated Press about her journey. Abi, who was born JoAnn Kelly, claimed that she had seen the hellish part of the game and wanted no parts. But she couldn’t leave music alone. In the midst of everything she’s gone through, music has been a solace. And when your father’s R. Kelly, things can get rough. Abi explained when her father’s “sins” started seeping into her own life. “At home it’s normal, you’re living a life with your parents; your dad and mom aren’t going to go into all the bad things that might be going on outside of home,” she said, “but kids in school don’t necessarily care. Fifth and sixth grade is when I started learning the sore part of it, the not so good part. I think that was the hardest part for me because for so long I went with this image of who my dad (was) and what my family (was).” When her classmates started telling her stories about her own father, Abi said there were times when she considered suicide. I’ve definitely come across turmoil … being judged for really no reason at all, just based off associations. I’ve been pushing through it. Me making the art, it saved my life so there’s nothing really that would be able to stop me.” Abi released her debut project this past March with the help of her sister Jaah Kelly, who produced the album. Email Submit Although Abi says she no longer has a relationship with her father, music is where they connect. “There’s a lot about him as an artist that inspires me. He has made mistakes in his life and other things that he’s dealing with, but when it comes to that, I can’t take that away from him. That’s the one thing that will always keep us connected.” Abi believed that she could rekindle the relationship with her father. The two collaborated on a song called “Wanna Be There.” It appeared on Kelly’s 2015 album The Buffet. “At that time I was in a place where I was genuinely trying to have a relationship with my father. But it was so complicated at that time, as it always is. It was a great experience, I’m glad that I did it, but it just wasn’t like what everybody assumed, and that’s the part that sucks. It wasn’t this big kumbaya moment.” If it didn’t happen then, the likelihood of it happening now with R. Kelly being in jail as he awaits his trial in April is unlikely. This weekend get ready for of the release of one of the creepiest, wildest and longest movies of the year, “It Chapter Two” . It has a run time of almost three hours but you’ll definitely get your money’s worth as Pennywise prepares to sink his teeth into the children of Derry one more time. The Losers are all grown up and most of them have left town, all of them except Mike, played by Isiah Mustafa, he has stayed in Derry and realized Pennywise is back so he calls up his childhood friends and tell them it’s time for them to return to kill him once and for all and he knows the way to do it. It Chapter Two, was highly entertaining and had me jumping out of my seat on several occasions so it does the job, you want it to do. I had the opportunity to screen this movie for a room full of cool kids and fans in Atlanta, last month and they left scared out of their minds. Source: Joi Pearson / Joi Pearson Photography So this month, while covering a press event in Anaheim, I jumped in a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado RTS with a bed load of courage to drive an hour and a half down to Los Angeles in traffic to where WB had recreated the town of Derry. The Silverado offers a street-performance appearance for the LT, with body-color trim, full LED lighting. Super bright fog lamps, headlamps, and taillamps in case Pennywise tried to come to drool all over me and up to 22-inch wheels in case things really go left. I wasn’t taking any chances. I did all of this so I could sit down with the cast of It in the town Derry… Even if it was on a lot in LA. This week’s episode of Extra Butter w/ Xilla Valentine is very fun and entertaining. You’ll see appearances from Jack Dylan Grazer, Sophia Lillis, Jeremy Ray Taylor, Jaeden Lieberher, Finn Wolfhard, Wyatt Oleff, Chosen Jacob, Bill Hader, Andy Bean, James Ransone, and Isaiah Mustafa who talk about It Chapter 2, Impractical Jokers, Snoop Dogg and share the wildest things they can imagine on the spot.
