Taking to IG to mock and clown his fellow Queens brethren for not getting that good ol’ VIP treatment once reserved for “the world’s most talented record label, Murder Inc.,” 50 played the clips of Irv and Ja getting into an argument with security at S.O.B.’s while cracking up without a care in the world (we’re surprised no one tried to get 50 Cent to play a hyena in The Lion King with that signature cackle of his). “Let me take my shirt off cause i’ma do nothin’!” Fif commented in a clip of Ja attempting to remove his garment at the entrance of the club only to leave it on before bouncing. “Exclusive footage of nothin’! Source: Peter Cade / Getty Instagram Might Be Getting Rid Of Their Public Like Count Sometime Soon Some of us like to act like we don’t care about Instagram likes–and some of us actually, really don’t care. But others have built entire careers off the number of likes they can pull in per picture, so there’s definitely something important about the number under that little heart icon on all of our pictures. While the number of people who double tap certain photos seems pretty arbitrary, a lot of people are starting to think more and more that the attention we pay to social media can be harmful to our self-esteem, mental health, and other factors in our real life. That’s why Instagram could be getting rid of this feature for good. Instagram is expanding its test of a feature that hides their public “like” counts. The test began in Canada in back in April, and, starting on Wednesday, the test expanded to Ireland, Italy, Japan, Brazil, Australia, and New Zealand. At this point, this is still just an experiment, and Instagram hasn’t said whether or not the feature will come to the US–but this gradual implementation into different areas could be the platform’s way of introducing a really big change. As for the tests going down in these 7 countries, Instagram users can opt out of the test, but it’s on by default. “Likes” aren’t shown in any public part of the app, including on public-facing grids or on the main feed, but the person who posted an image can still see the “like” count privately. We’re currently running a test that hides the total number of likes and video views for some people in the following countries: Australia Brazil Canada Ireland Italy Japan New Zealand pic.twitter.com/2OdzpIUBka — Instagram (@instagram) July 17, 2019 There have been a lot of positive and negative reactions to this newly implemented test run, with most of the concern being for the livelihood of Instagram’s influencers. After the initial idea was announced, Elle ran a story titled “Instagram Is Experimenting With Hiding Likes, Which Would Make It Much Harder to Be an Influencer,” which points out that brands care a lot more about hiring influencers with high engagement rates (a high percentage of likes compared to their follower count) on their posts than they do about how many followers someone has. On the contrary, marketing blogger Charles Tumotto Jackson argued that influencers would be fine — probably just pivoting to a higher reliance on Instagram Stories. That’s where they can use the swipe-up feature to link directly to purchasing pages, and “everything becomes measurable and even more transparent than it used to be.” Plus, like mentioned above, the influencers themselves can still see how many likes are being brought in, which is something they can show to a brand just like the back-end analytics already provides–proving once more that their business and livelihood probably won’t be affected by this change as much as people think. It’s called The Lion King: The Gift and it’s blowing up the internet. Beyoncé says the project was meant to be “ a love letter to Africa ” in a recent interview. Although curated by Nala herself, this is far from a solo project. Executive producer Bey solicited contributions from artists from various parts of the globe including Nigeria, Ghana, Cameroon, and South Africa. In the features, you’ll find Mr Eazi, Yemi Alade, Burna Boy, Tiwa Savage, and Tekno sing in multiple languages. She also does duets with Donald Glover and Kendrick Lamar. Even though The Gift is a separate project from the film’s official soundtrack, that doesn’t stop Beyoncé from telling that timeless story of the Pride Lands through each track. Mike Johnson may not have gotten a final rose from Hannah Brown , but that doesn’t mean he is giving up on finding true love. Especially not after he received some very flattering support from none other than Demi Lovato following his elimination on season 15 of The Bachelorette. And yes, he is very much here for the pop star’s flirting. Fans have been shipping this couple ever since Demi took to her Instagram Live to share that Mike was her favorite on the show. The 26-year-old Grammy nominee did not hold back her feelings while professing her love for Johnson earlier this month. “Mike I accept your rose,” Lovato wrote to her Instagram. “I’M RIGHT HERE MIKE I’M RIGHT HERE BOO MY MOM ALREADY LOVES YOU TOO.” Demi then followed with a second video of her in front of the TV while Johnson was on screen. “Give Your Heart A Break,” the singer yelled. “Swing me, kiss me, boo boo!” While we would love to see these two fall in love, exchange vows, have kids, etc., a lot of Bachelor Nation is rooting for Mike to be the next Bachelor. But it sounds like he will be happy with wherever the wind blows him. Spencer Pratt isn’t just spilling the tea when it comes to the revival of the show that made him famous. He’s taking his cup, extending his penny and frickin dumping said tea all over each and every one of his MTV co-stars. Oh, and he’s also trashing MTV itself as well. The 35-year-old reality star appeared on the LadyGang podcast on Tuesday – hosted by Keltie Knight, Becca Tobin and Jac Vanek — and laid into basically everyone associated with The Hills: New Beginnings. In the revealing interview, Pratt alleges that the network isn’t depicting the real drama of the cast — which includes his wife, Heidi, his sister, Stephanie, as well as Brody Jenner, Audrina Patridge, Justin Bobby, Whitney Port, Mischa Barton and Brandon Lee — because they want to make the cast likable. “I’ll be honest and I’m going to get in trouble for this but … they’re toning it down because they want people to be likable, which I don’t want to watch anything likable,” Spencer said with a laugh, adding: “I personally think the network is protecting a lot of the cast.” With this new Hills version struggling to earn ratings or any consistent attention, Pratt has been trying as hard as possible to stir up some controversy. It’s what he does best, after all. It’s sort of all he does. “No spoiler alerts, but I hate all these people, like, I dislike them,” Spencer continued. “I love Brandon [Lee] … but Brandon’s not allowed to talk to me anymore, per Brody.” The latest installment of this remake featured Pratt having it out with Jenner , with each reality star accusing the other of NOT being the one to keep in touch over the years. Pratt says there’s far more to this seemingly lame story, though. “Well I’m LC, I took over for LC,” Spencer now says, referring to former costar Lauren Conrad of course and adding: “I’m like, ‘You’re not my friend anymore because of your new relationship, wah wah wah.’ There’s a lot more to the story and the angle that is logical for the television show… “We haven’t been speaking since 2007. “All the things that I really am saying, why we have a real problem, break the fourth wall.” As for where this new Hills is headed? Spencer teases that viewers will soon learn a lot more about Brody and Kaitlynn’s relationship, while adding that he still has disdain for the Kaitlynn. “Just tune in, because everything will be revealed,” he says, trying just so darn hard to make the show relevant again. “Spoilers — we’re going to find out more about the relationship. I think it makes everyone more likable because you will understand … why Brody acts that way, why Kaitlynn … everyone knows, there’s a big …” And he cut himself off there. This guy is good!
