Meghan Markle really cannot catch a break. For several months, the Duchess was criticized for being ” too American ,” with anonymous sources claiming she was causing problems for the Royal Family because, essentially, she was a stuffy outsider. But here’s the irony, some friends now allege: Markle wanted to end up with a British dude and become famous overseas for years before actually doing so! In a lengthy Daily Mail expose , a bunch of people who have known Markle long before the public really got to know her explain that the ex-Suits star was getting frustrated by her career in Hollywood. In 2013, she supposedly made it clear that she wanted to move on from this USA Network drama and, ideally, into one of those rich UK social circles. “She told me she wanted to be on an English reality TV show and that she wanted an English boyfriend,” British TV presenter Lizzie Cundy told the Daily Mail. Cundy says she met Markle at a 2013 charity gala, the same year that the actress ended her two-year marriage to producer Trevor Engelson. “Do you know any famous guys?” Cundy alleges Meghan asked her. “I’m single and I really love English men.” Megan supposedly “set her sights on Made in Chelsea and worked hard to get in with that crowd,” Cundy continues, referencing the British reality show that focuses on very rich people in England. She even took two advisors with her on trips to London in 2013 and 2016, both of which The Daily Mail describes as “networking exercises” meant to introduce Markle to the British press. One of these advisers allegedly help Markle land the co-hosting gig at the aforementioned charity gala where she met Cundy. “She worked hard to get in with that crowd,” Cundy added. Through these circles, she eventually became acquainted with people who were friends with Harry, according to the Daily Mail. Cundy says Markle befriended Piers Morgan in June of 2016 in order to get in well with that British journalist and influencer. She asked to be interviewed on Morgan’s popular morning show, the Daily Mail writes, but “then she went to have dinner with friends at 5 Hertford Street in Mayfair. “She met Prince Harry at the dinner that night, and Piers never heard from her again.” Morgan remains bitter about it. “Meghan Markle is a self-obsessed professional actress who has landed the role of her life and is determined to milk it for all she’s worth,” eh says, adding: “She’s spent most of the past 20 years cozying up to people until they serve no more use to her, then airbrushing them out of her life without so much as: ‘Goodbye, loser!’ “I know because I was one of them.” For her part, Cundy says she was “ghosted” by Markle after she started dating Harry. (Markle’s annoying father has also claimed his daughter has ghosted him .) By October of 2016, after Markle had been with Prince Harry for three months, she sent former agent Gina Nelthorpe-Cowne an email that said she was giving up her career and terminating their contract. Other British friends (Nick Ede, Millie Mackintosh) concur with the general assessment of Markle as someone who cut ties easily and moves on quickly. They say this especially held true after she got with Harry and realized her ultimate dream of dating not just any British guy — but almost the British guy. This is a lot of information to take in, of course. Does it make us think any differently of her father and her seemingly evil half-sister, both of whom have slammed Markle for basically slicing them out her life? Not really. Both of those relatives have said far too many cruel things in public to be taken seriously. As for what famous friends such as George Clooney and Serena Williams have to say about Markle? According to TMZ , police have arrested a man who set himself on fire and began to stroll leisurely around the grounds located about a mile from Trump’s home. Someone must have alerted police as soon as they realized what was about to happen because law enforcement swarms the flame-engulfed man almost immediately and essentially drowns him in fire extinguisher fluid. We’ll warn you now, the video below is very graphic in nature… That’s INSANE. The man is said to be in the hospital with “life-threatening injuries”.

Source: picture alliance / Getty Bodycam Video Shows San Antonio Police Shooting Unarmed Charles Roundtree All hyperbole aside, this literally seems like an everyday occurrence now. According to SACurrent , another person of color killed by a bloodlusty cop who’s down to squeeze first and ask questions last. 18-year-old Charles Roundtree was killed on October 17, 2018 when Officer Steve Casanova shot him in the chest in response to a criminal complaint. Maria Herrera and Esteban Preciado called the cops to report that a man named Davante Snowden had assaulted them. When Casanova arrived at the home to speak to Snowden, he encountered Charles Roundtree and a woman, Taylor Singleton. Without introducing himself as cop, Casanova opened the cracked front door and said “What’s up, man?” to which Snowden responded, “Who the f**k is this?!” At this point, Casanova, an unidentified officer, demands to see the men’s hands and fires two shots. SAPD had originally reported one of the shots fired had gone through Snowden’s buttocks and into Roundtree’s chest. In her account of the shooting, Singleton says the shot that went through Snowden had gone in to the wall toward the neighbor’s house, and Casanova had hit Roundtree in a separate shot. Roundtree’s family has filed suit against the SAPD stating the Snowden was unarmed as the DNA test on the alleged weapon came back negative. They also charge that officer Casanova did not attempt to administer help to Charles as he had a hole in his chest. Casanova is on admin duty but is still currently employed by the police department.

Could the Fortnite craze be to blame for all of this? Sure does look like the game is a contributor to this problem. If you are one of those people whose video game playing takes up their entire day, neglect to do routine things like eat and gets highly upset when you take an L you have a severe problem. The 11th revision of WHO’s International Statistical Classification of Diseases and Related Health Problems (ICD-11) has officially placed “gaming disorder” next to “gambling disorder” in its list “due to addictive behaviors” the disorder brings. The “gaming disorder” addition on the list includes both offline and online gaming that points out habits that can either be both continuous or episodic and is described as such: “Impaired control over gaming […], increasing priority given to gaming to the extent that gaming takes precedence over other life interests and daily activities, and continuation or escalation of gaming despite the occurrence of negative consequences.” In addition to “gaming disorder,” another entry included is “hazardous gaming” as “factor” that could influence a persons health status. “Hazardous gaming refers to a pattern of gaming, either online or offline, that appreciably increases the risk of harmful physical or mental health consequences to the individual or to others around this individual.” “The increased risk may be from the frequency of gaming, from the amount of time spent on these activities, from the neglect of other activities and priorities, from risky behaviors associated with gaming or its context, from the adverse consequences of gaming, or from the combination of these.” You cannot be diagnosed with both illnesses according to WHO. As you can imagine the video game playing community is not too happy about the news. Reps from the global video game industry which includes US, Europe, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Korea, South Africa, and Brazil all want WHO to hit the pause button and change its decision. In a statement, the gaming industry feels WHO reached their decision without “sufficiently robust evidence” and is “concerned [WHO] reached their conclusion without the consensus of the academic community.” Despite the decision to include “gaming disorder” on the list being agreed upon, it doesn’t go into effect until January 1, 2022. There have been a lot of questions lately about the level of Britney Spears' personal freedom under her father's conservatorship. One major point of contention among fans and the Free Britney movement is the widely held belief that she can't even make her own social media posts. On Tuesday, Britney took to Instagram with a video to shut down that rumor for good. … Maybe. Britney shared a video of herself modeling clothing, posing, dancing, and listening to Rihanna's “Man Down” at home. She follows that fun video with a selfie in an off-the-shoulder white blouse, and then with a shorter video, which we have included in this post. “For those of you who don't think I post my own videos,” Britney begins her new video. “I did this video yesterday,” she says, referring to the glimpse at her dancing. “So you're wrong,” Britney says gently. “But I hope you like it.” This news comes as such a relief to her fans! For years, and especially for these last few months, it has been circulated that Britney does not make her own social media posts. Many fear that she cannot even access her own accounts — that it's all “handled.” In fact, it is still widely believed that Britney's conservatorship includes a stipulation that she not have her own phone. It's certainly wonderful to hear Britney, in her own voice, assure fans that she gets to post her own media. … Or is it? There are still real fears that, due to the power that her father wields over her life, Britney might be encouraged to make statements like this against her will. We all know that celebrities can make statements that they don't really mean. (Just look at Game of Thrones actors telling various cameras that Season 8 is great; it's like a compilation of hostage videos) Did her father instruct her to make this video to throw her own supporters off of the scent? Or, worse, is this Britney quashing rumors (or trumors) about herself in a desperate bid to prove that she can make her own life choices? But let's take a step back from worries, doubts, and conspiracy theories for a moment. If we don't know the truth, doesn't it make a little more sense to err on the side of believing the words that Britney says with her own voice? As we have mentioned before, she has a lot of loved ones who would happily go to bat for her if she asked them to. If he sister or her boyfriend gives an interview about how she's being “held against her will” or whatever, we'd be the first to cry “Free Britney!” But until then, the simplest thing is to believe Britney's own words over rumors and suspicions. Instead of worrying about what is, for the moment, unknowable, let's look on the bright side. Britney is alive, healthy, and beautiful. There are also unconfirmed rumors that Britney is planning to surprise fans with a comeback single in just a few days. She has two amazing, talented sons. She also has an unnecessarily handsome boyfriend, Sam Asghari. There are some very valid concerns about Britney's conservatorship, which has dragged on for 11 long years. Did you know that it was initially only supposed to last for a few days? While we don't advocate harassing Britney or treating her like a meme, we don't think that a little scrutiny of the conservatorship would hurt. There are a lot of people saying that, even if Britney needs a conservatorship for whatever reason, her father is not the best person to maintain it. Hopefully, her loved ones and the courts will make sure that all of the power rests with the right people.
