Chelsea Houska’s Daughter Turns 8 Months Old And Fans Can’t Deal!

Happy 8 months on Earth to Chelsea Houska’s adorable baby girl Layne!  It’s hard to believe she is already 8 months old — I mean, it feels like Chelsea just pushed her out yesterday.  But like it or not, this baby is growing up. Fast!  On Tuesday night, Houska shared a sweet photo of daughter Layne Ettie laying next to a letter board ( you don’t say?) marking her age.  She was dressed in a strawberry-print onesie and wore a matching plaid bow — yes, it’s the cutest thing we will probably see all week.  “Guess who turned 8 months yesterday?!” Houska captioned the post.  Everyone else was just as shocked to see that Layne was so close to turning a year old. Even fellow Teen Mom 2 star Kailyn Lowry commented with heart emojis, “It’s been 8 months already?! She’s precious.”  Chelsea and husband Cole DeBoer welcomed Layne in August 2018 , on the very same day Chelsea celebrated her 27th birthday!  They’re already parents to 2-year-old Watson and 9-year-old daughter, Aubree Lind-DeBoer, from Chelsea’s former relationship with ex Adam Lind.  “Happy birthday to my sweet perfect wife Chelsea DeBoer who just gave our family this beautiful blessing!” the new dad wrote on Instagram at the time.  “Sharing the same amazing day I am so in love with our family! Our newest addition Baby Layne!!” It seems the couple really enjoys parenthood … so much so that they are already thinking of having more babies! “We definitely want more kids — at least one — but I think we’re going to wait probably a little farther than the last two babies.” the MTV personality told E! News shortly after Layne’s birth.  “Maybe when she’s 2, we’ll start thinking about it. But there will be more.” Well, that sounds promising!  But for now — this close-knit fam seems pretty content. “I feel like [baby Layne] is like Cole. I think Aubree is like me and Watson and Layne are like Cole,” the mother-of-three shared about their family dynamic.  And when it comes to the youngest of the Teen Mom 2 babies, Chelsea explains her as “very laid back. She’s easy, she’s smiley, she’s chill, very chill.” Aubree has been the best big sister to the newest addition as well!  “Having Aubree’s help has been amazing,” Chelsea added.  “She loves helping. She plays with her brother when I need her to. She can get his little boots on or something when we’re heading out the door so she’s been amazing.”  As for DeBoer, he’s also been a blessing.  “I mean, Cole is just great all around,” Chelsea gushed.  “I’m more of the laid-back parent and he’s definitely more paranoid and worried all the time, which is funny because it’s usually the mom but I mean, he’s so helpful.” “He changes diapers. He gets in there. He does it all,” she said.  After the family experienced a terrifying break-in at their brand new home a few months back — it seems like they’re finally recovering and getting back into their groove.  We’re sure little Layne and her beautiful family members had the best 8-month day celebration and we hope she is enjoying all her newfound milestones by eating plenty of baby cereals and less of breast milk!  Now we patiently wait for all of the adorable crawling videos to grace our feed … any day now. Jenni Farley to Roger Mathews: Way to Ditch Our Kids So You Could Rage!

According to Jenni Farley, she cannot stop smiling over the presence of  Zack Carpinello in her life. The Jersey Shore veteran and her 24-year old lover seem quite content with each other at the moment. Conversely, Farley has made it clear once again that she REALLY is displeased with estranged husband Roger Mathews right about now. Following an Easter Sunday in which Farley and Mathews put their differences aside in order to spend time as a family with their two young kids, something appears to have gone awry. For a reason Jenni tried to make clear in a scathing Tweet yesterday, she now has yet another reason to think Mathews is a very bad parent and role model. In her Instagram Story message, posted late on Sunday, the MTV personality best known as JWoww said that her son and daughter wouldn’t be spending the weekend with their dad because he wanted to “rage.” She later deleted the note, but nothing ever dies on the Internet. “When you find out on Wednesday your kids will be with someone other than their father over the weekend because he wants to rage during HIS time because it’s been planned ‘for months,'” Farley wrote along with rolling eyes emojis. “Yeahhhh ok. Loving all your ‘dad posts,'” she added, mocking Mathews for how often he claims to be a dedicated and loving father and concluding: “Please keep over posting…really shows how ‘involved you are.'” It certainly is true that during the crux of their VERY ugly exchanges late last year and earlier this year, Mathews often claimed that Farley was ignoring their kids in order to film Jersey Shore. After his estranged wife obtained a restraining order against him several months ago, Mathews went on an all-time Instagram rant . He trashed Farley as a fake and phony sand vowed that the “truth” would come out and that all he cares about in life is being a responsible parent. It hasn’t really been made clear exactly what Mathews was referring to at the time, but a sad truth has seemingly come out about him since this argument: He admitted in an open letter to having been abusive with Farley, as documented below: View Slideshow: Roger Mathews Pens Letter to Jenni Farley, Admits to Abuse In this case, JWoww’s post apears to be in response to Roger’s Instagram video, posted Saturday, showing him on a “rare dad night out.” “Had this night planned for a few months now,” Mathews wrote along with the video, adding: “Kids are enjoying a sleepover with my best friends kids @fitmom_meg and Dads going to see @louiedevito tonight with some 20 year friends @jamiemalloy35 @dannycars13 @maximillian143 @aimeedanger @chrissyjules. “Rare dad night out. Leeeeeeets goo.” We can totally understand Farley’s frustration here. Her kids and two and three years old, seemingly pretty young to have a sleepover. It also seems a bit odd for Mathews to celebrate a “rare” night out, considering he doesn’t have primary custody of these children. Farley filed for divorce from the 43-year-old truck driver in September of 2018 after a three-year marriage, full of ups and down. The reality star has since moved on with Carpinello, whom Mathews seemingly approves of, having been asked for his opinion by Us Weekly a few days back. “He seems like a terrific guy and they seem to really be happy, and I’m very happy for them,” Mathews told this tabloid shortly after it revealed her new man is the 24-year-old professional wrestler from New York. Mathews added at the time that Carpinello is a “good friend of her little brother” and that they’ve been dating for “a few months.” We’re very glad to hear it. And we hope, for the sake of their kids, that Jenni and Roger can find an amicable co-parenting solution in the near future. John Singleton Dies; Beloved Director Was 51

Very sad news today out of Hollywood. John Singleton, the Academy Award-nominated director and veteran of the entertainment industry, has passed away 12 days after suffering a stroke. He was 51 years old. As previously reported,  Singleton checked himself into the hospital in mid-April after suffering leg pain following a trip to Costa Rica. He then suffered a stroke a short while later while under doctor’s supervision. He had been in a medically-induced coma ever since, with his family announcing on Monday afternoon that it had made the impossible decision to remove the director from life support. “It is with heavy hearts we announce that our beloved son, father and friend, John Daniel Singleton will be taken off of life support today,” a statement from the Singleton family read. “This was an agonizing decision, one that our family made, over a number of days, with the careful counsel of John’s doctors.” The statement went on to reference Singleton’s breakout film, for which he became the first African-American ever nominated at the Oscars for Best Director. John grew up in South Central L.A with a love of cinema that showed itself early on. He went on to become one of the most lauded graduates of the USC School of Cinematic Arts. Within months of graduating, John returned to South Central to shoot his debut feature, Boyz N the Hood. The movie, which was unusually shot in sequence, masterfully captured a story of friendship, youth and the peril of hard choices in a community marred by gang violence. Singleton also directed such movies as Poetic Justice, Four Brothers and 2 Fast 2 Furious. More recently, he had moved over to television and helped produce the FX drama Snowfall. But it was Boyz N the Hood that truly put Singleton on the Hollywood map. “The film earned special honors at its debut at Cannes and Singleton went onto become the youngest director and first African-American writer-director nominated for the Academy Award,” the statement continued. “Two decades later, the film was placed in the Library of Congress, a marker of its cultural and historical significance.” Continues this statement: “John was such a supernova in his youth that we forget that he was only beginning to fully assert his gifts as a director. Kurosawa was 52 when he directed High Low. Hitchcock was 56 when he directed To Catch a Thief. “As much as we will treasure his body of work, we were looking forward to the films John would have made in the years ahead.” Singleton’s loved ones went on to cite the star’s hypertension diagnosis, an affliction that affects 40% of African-Americans. They urged everyone to visit Heart.org in order to learn more about this disease and its symptoms. “John’s confidence in his place in Hollywood was only matched for his passion for the sea,” concludes the statement. “John kayaked in Marina Del Rey every morning. His greatest joy, when not on set, was sailing his boat, J’s Dream, up and down the Pacific Coast. “The American writer Willa Cather once said, ‘There are some things you learn best in calm, and some in the storm.’ “We who have grown up with John, made movies with him, sailed with John and laughed with John, know the universe of calm and creativity he created for so many. Now in the wake of his death, we must navigate the storm without him. “It is, for us, heartbreaking.” Singleton is survived by his mother, Shelia, and his seven children: Daughters Justice, Hadar, Cleopatra, Selenesol, Issis, and his sons Maasai and Seven. May he rest in eternal peace. UPDATE: The family has released this statement since taking Singleton off life support and watching him pass away. It is with heavy hearts that we announce that our beloved son, father and friend, John Daniel Singleton passed away today due to complications from a stroke he suffered last Wednesday. John Singleton was a prolific, groundbreaking director who changed the game and opened doors in Hollywood, a world that was just a few miles away, yet worlds away, from the neighborhood in which he grew up. In his private life, John was a loving and supporting father, son, brother and friend who believed in higher education, black culture, old school music and the power of film. John’s confidence in his place in Hollywood was only matched for his passion for the sea. John kayaked in Marina Del Rey every morning. His greatest joy, when not on set, was sailing on his boat, J’s Dream, up and down the Pacific Coast. View Slideshow: Celebrities Who Died in 2019: In Memoriam

Game of Thrones: Was the Battle of Winterfell a King-Size Disappointment?

Well, one of the biggest weekends on the 2019 pop cultural calendar is officially behind us, and all over America, fanboys and haters alike are hashing out their differences. Both Avengers: Endgame and Game of Thrones ‘ Battle of Winterfell saw the deaths of some beloved characters, but GoT being GoT, it’s not surprising that some viewers expected even more carnage. Obviously, the remainder of this article is dark and full of spoilers (We miss you already, Melisandre.), so proceed no further if you have yet to watch Game of Thrones Season 8 Episode 3 . (Which was surprisingly not titled “The Battle of Winterfell,” but is instead officially known as “The Long Night.”) The stakes and the expectations for the episode could not have been much higher. It was the most expensive Game of Thrones to date with a whopping 85-minute runtime. Marketing materials promised the longest continuous battle sequence in film or television history. From a narrative standpoint, the episode would conclude the Night King/White Walker storyline that was set into motion in the show’s very first scene. Fans hoped the installment would also deliver some big-time emotional payoff and set the stage for the series’ final three episodes. On some of those promises, the show inarguably delivered (that was certainly one very lengthy battle), but others … maybe not so much. On Twitter, complaints were plentiful — granted, that’s always the case with Twitter, but the response to “The Long Night” seemed even more mixed than usual. One of the primary beefs was the fact that the episode very much lived up to its name. It was long, and it was very, very dark. Literally. Many viewers complained that they had difficulty following the action due to the low lighting. Others complained of jump cuts and the visual anonymity of the combatants. Yes, it made sense that the dueling armies were all attired so similarly, but combined with shadowy motif, this often made it difficult to tell who was swinging the sword and who was being cut down. Speaking of violent death, some fans felt there just wasn’t enough of it. Or more accurately, they felt more top-tier characters should have met their demise. Sure we lost Jorah Mormont, Theon Greyjoy, Lyanna Mormont, Melisandre, and the Night King, but this is a show that’s never been shy about offing major players, and with just three episodes remaining, fans understandably expected the Battle of Winterfell to reduce them to sobbing shells of their former selves. That might sound like an unpleasant experience, but it’s part of what’s kept us coming back to Westeros for the past eight years, and for many viewers, “The Long Night” lacked the emotional gut punch they had been simultaneously dreading and hoping for. But the most serious concerns might have to do with the direction of the series from here. As thrilling as it was to see Arya reduce the Night King and his army to a pile of shards, it was an ending that raised more questions than it answered. Presumably, the remaining episodes will focus on the battle for the Iron Throne, but as a villain, is Cersei any match for an undead king with an army of zombies? Is there any way to rescue the remaining episodes from feeling an anti-climactic afterthought? Game of Thrones has always been a series that trafficked in surprises, but the biggest surprise of all might be showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss pulling off a conclusion that will leave the majority of the show’s viewership feeling satisfied. Of course, with the emotional sadism these two have demonstrated over the years, that may not be the ultimate goal. View Slideshow: Game of Thrones Photos: Bring It On, White Walkers!

Game of Thrones Preview: Now What?!?

Sometimes in sports, a team will come out on top in a very important game. They'll defeat their major rival in exciting fashion and be riding especially high afterwards, thinking nothing can ever bring them down. But this excitement causes them to overlook the following opponent and they end up playing what is typically referred to as a “letdown” game. And they end up losing such a game. We bring all of this up to say the following to Dany, Jon Snow and especially Arya Stark: Celebrate your victory over the Night Kind and his undead forces. But not too hard and not for too long. Because there's a certain evil queen and her army just waiting to strike their vulnerable foe in the next inevitable battle. Following the epic events in  Game of Thrones Season 8 Episode 3 , it's hard to imagine where this series will go next. But one need not try to imagine because a brand new installment airs in just a few days — and we've got your very first look at it here. In the tease featured here, Daenerys promises that the “last war” is coming to Westeros, clearly preparing her decimated army to march against Cersei in the capital city. However, Sansa is not comfortable with her family’s alliance with Dany and isn't shy about expressing such grievances. Meanwhile, in King’s Landing, Cersei appears to be preparing to fight while fending off advances from the odious Euron Greyjoy, whose army she needs to win any future battle — but whose company she may be growing tired of. Will all of this feel rather anticlimactic after our heroes and heroines took down the Night King? Perhaps. But many viewers out there think the political power struggle is where the bulk of the intrigue lies on this drama. Are you among them? There's also the issue of Bronn having been enlisted to kill Tyrion and Jaime, as well as Jaime coming across the sister he has now betrayed. He has to be the one to eventually kill Cersei, right? He simply has to be. Before we get too far ahead of ourselves, however, let's just take a look ahead to this Sunday and Game of Thrones Season 8 Episode 4. Check out the preview now!

Anna Duggar: Pregnant with Baby #6!

It’s pretty unusual to be surprised by a Duggar family pregnancy announcement. Heck, in the past several weeks alone, Kendra Duggar has confirmed she’s pregnant with her second child… … and so has Amy Duggar … … and so has Jessa Seewald . But we still did a double take and our jaw must still be removed from the jaw after learning on Friday afternoon that Anna Duggar is ALSO pregnant. With her sixth child! “We couldn’t be happier to share with the world that our family is growing by one this Fall,” Anna and controversial husband Josh Duggar told Us Weekly in a statement, adding: “We continually stand amazed by God’s love, redemption, grace and blessings in our lives. Our entire little family is ecstatic!” The pair got married in 2008 and are already parents to Mackynzie, 9, Michael, 7, Marcus, 5, Meredith, 3, and Mason, 19 months. Many observers are likely focusing on the word  redemption used by Anna above — because it tells the story of why we are so taken aback by this pregnancy news. Back in the spring of 2015, Josh was forced to admit that he molested his own sisters when he was a teenager. Josh’s parents were aware of this inappropriate behavior at the time it transpired, but chose not to alert any authorities. Following Josh’s extended stay at a faith-based rehabilitation center in the wake of this wild and awful scandal, the couple entered marriage counseling following their difficult year. Not long afterward the molestation reveal, Josh also admitted to being a member of the website Ashley Madison , whose users signed on in order to find members of the opposite sex with whom they could cheat on their spouses. “I have been the biggest hypocrite ever,” he said in a statement after his cheating was exposed, adding in the summer of 2015: “While espousing faith and family values, I have secretly over the last several years been viewing pornography on the internet and this became a secret addiction and I became unfaithful to my wife. “I am so ashamed of the double life that I have been living and am grieved for the hurt, pain and disgrace my sin has caused my wife and family, and most of all Jesus and all those who profess faith in Him.” Josh concluded with an apology: “I humbly ask for your forgiveness. Please pray for my precious wife Anna and our family during this time.” It must have worked, too, because Amy announced she was pregnant with the couple’s fifth child in 2015. However, TLC canceled 19 Kids and Counting in the wake of Josh’s multiple controversies — while he and Anna mostly receded from the spotlight. In July 2018, though, Anna shared a numerous of family photos to Instagram, where she reflected on the past decade of life and the “wonderful adventure” that it has been. “June was an exciting month for our family: Marcus, Michael and I are are officially a year older + Josh and I celebrated our 10 year engagement anniversary!” she wrote in the caption, continuing as follows: “The past 10 years have been a wonderful adventure. So thankful for God’s redeeming grace and His blessings to us along the way, especially our 5 M’s!” Anna was widely mocked and criticized at the time for referring to the scandals described above as a wonderful adventure . Still, however, a baby is a blessing, right? In two videos shared to social media, both Anna and Josh give their kids a series of cut out paper letters, which they together spell out to read, “New baby coming this fall.” “Mommy’s having a baby!” Anna says to her children, who yell and scream in excitement. It is very cute. We certainly wish Anna all the health and happiness possible with this pregnancy. Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, meanwhile, expressed their enthusiasm for the couple this evening, writing this message on their website: “We are so happy for Josh & Anna, expecting their 6th child and our 16th grandchild!  Each child is a blessing from God! Anna is one of the most amazing women in the world, she is a Proverbs 31 woman! “Anna & Josh are good parents and it is going to be neat to see what God does with each one of their children’s lives. “Mackynzie, Michael, Marcus, Meredith and Mason are so excited to have a little sibling on the way! God is at work in their sweet little family! He has blessed them with another child! “What a gift! The best days for their family are still ahead!” View Slideshow: Anna Duggar: Weight Loss Transformation Stuns Fans!
