Keeping Up with the Kardashians kicked off a new season by giving viewers something they had never seen before. The fallout from Tristan Thompson cheating ? Please, we’ve sadly seen that more than once at this point. On Sunday night, however, fans were treated to their first-ever look at Kanye West in a confessional. Whoa, right?!? The Season 16 premiere marked this rapper’s most significant involved to date on his wife’s long-running reality show, as producers looked for a way to surprise viewers for a change. “This is my first time doing this,” West joked to the camera. “I’m not actually attempting to do good.” What prompted the decision on Kanye’s part? The Incredibles, he hilariously stated on air. “It starts off with the interviews! The superheroes are giving interviews,” the artist said of this Pixar classic. “The wife got a big butt and I just see our life becoming more and more and more like The Incredibles until we can finally fly.” The guy’s got (kinda mean) jokes. Who knew?!? It was only appropriate for West to play such a major role this week because he and Kim told their loved ones that they were expecting child number-four, once again via surrogate . “We have an announcement to make,” Kardashian noted to her family at dinner. “We’re having a baby. We’re having a boy.” After pushing the extended family to not say anything to anyone about this development, Kim realized that North West might end alerting the world to the news — by accident, of course. “A mom at school texts me and goes, ‘Congrats! I heard you’re having a baby brother,'” Kim told Kylie Jenner. “And she goes, ‘Yeah! North is going around saying she finally has a baby brother so Saint won’t bother her anymore.'” Later on, Kim and Kanye went to Chicago (the city) for business, partly because the couple needed some help from Rhymefest. Yes, the same Rhymefest with whom Kim beefed about a year ago after he put out a statement that distanced himself and Donda’s House (a charity he runs, named after Kanye’s late mother) from West’s pro-Donald Trump views. “While we cannot and do not speak for Kanye West and his views, we can and will speak up for the youth that we serve,” this rapper said in that controversial statement last May, adding: “We ask that as you boycott and protest Kanye West, that you not forget that we are a non-profit organization that like other non-profits needs donations, corporate support, and volunteers.” We thought it was pretty fair. But as you can see here, Kim did not: How did their sit-down go on the premiere? Very well, actually. “Kanye is from a village and the village was feeling like our dear brother, you know what I’m saying? Turned his back on the village,” the hip hop artist and philanthropist expressed to the Wests. on Sunday. “And so, I struck out.” Rhymefest also acknowledged that he “could’ve reacted better” to the situation. “I just think that everyone should communicate to each other and not on social media,” Kim concluded. “I think you just get so much more done if you have a conversation.” Elsewhere on the installment, which was filmed awhile back, Khloe, Kourtney and Kendall joined a large group of friends for a trip to Kris Jenner’s brand-new, GIGANTIC Palm Springs estate. The goal of the trip was to cheer up Kourtney, who admitted to “feeling a lot of anxiety” following her dramatic breakup with Younes Bendjima. (Like we said: it was filmed awhile back.) Khloe, for her part, felt no anxiety about things with Thompson. They FaceTimed and said they loved each other and our heart broke more and more with each word uttered. “I have come to a place in my life where I am super comfortable,” Khloe said on the premiere, adding that she’s been making “a conscious effort” to try and “drown out” negativity, criticism and self-doubt. She actually referenced the FIRST Tristan cheating scandal at one point, saying: “It’s been a few months, me and Tristan are great. And I am loving being a mommy. It’s bittersweet. I love seeing every milestone with her but I feel like she grows, like, in one week she’s like a completely different baby.” Poor Khloe, right?
